why are survivors immune to mistakes?

Literally carried by gen speeds and meta perks can we nerf them more so they are on killer level balanced?

Save this whining stuff for private. Make valid suggestions, such as indicating where you think a Killer is weak. Talk about problems on the map. Just a blanket statement like this is a screed and has no value. Survivors have their Perks and we have ours.

Do you play surivivor outside of SWF with communication?

  • im unsure if this is bait or not.

  • Pretty sure you have never seen a whole team dying because one Survivor messed up and gave immense pressure to the Killer.

that happens just as much as the moon turns blue

  • Survivors are not immune to mistakes. A survivor making a mistake can lead to them taking a hit, or going down, getting slugged, notifying the killer of their location, losing gen progress, feeding the killer their power/hex/etc and making the whole team exposed, and so on. A survivor mistake can snowball into a complete loss of the match.

While survivors have certain perks that grant them a second chance, saying that they’re “immune to mistakes” is pretty hyperbolic.

  • I think survivors make mistakes ALL the time. The issue is every time the survivor screws up, instead of admitting it they scream "so and so is OP. Plz Nerf!"

Not just survivors. There's plenty of killers who do this too. Seeing as how there's usually 4 survivors for every killer it just feels like there's more survivors doing it.

  • I wouldn't say that they are "immune" to mistakes, but definitely, survivor's mistakes have less impact in the game than killer's mistakes.

Survivors mistakes? They can end up injured or hooked, but they have more chances of living.

Killers mistakes? 2 and even 3 gens can pop if you overextend a chase, or if you waste too much time trying to find survivors.

Yes, there's definitely a difference between the outcomes of both side's fails.

  • what survivor is actually weak compared to killers o.o

  • Make threads with actual valid points instead of whining.

  • They are not immune to mistakes but they can screw up multiple times more than the Killer and still get away with it scott free. It´s what the game is designed around and if it wasn´t like that I´m afraid people wouldn´t wanna continue playing survivor.

And please be specific which issue you want to adress. There´s lots to choose from but simply stating "sUrvIrOr oP PlS nErF" won´t get you anywhere.

  • In case you're not baiting Aven has a point, and it happens wayyyy more than you think. If one survivor makes a mistake, or, for example, has the brilliant idea of trying to save a survivor from the basement against a Trapper or Hag, it's game over. That's one of the fun parts about this game and why it's so chaotic - a match can go downhill REAL quick and be unwinnable if a survivor messes up, or if the killer makes a series of mistakes and it happens all the time. It's one of the main reasons why the game is oddly balanced right now.

  • Just had a game where a Meg made a mistake by going near her teammates during chase, allowing me to find everyone using Infectious Fright, pressure the generator they had nearly finished and shutting down loops or destroying strong pallets using my shred and allowing me to know where to place my portals for an effective web as Demogorgon. That one mistake allowed me to snowball easily and 4K with getting 31,9K points as a rank 13 killer against rank 5s.

I main survivor and from my experience, greeding a pallet, misplaying a pallet, vaulting from an angle that isn't a fast vault, pressuring generators while a killer is zoning another part of the map (Removing pallets and protecting gens for a 3 gen strat), etc... are quite significant and also quite common mistakes. We are definitely not immune to mistakes, but the consequences are usually less severe (Bigger consequences are more rare) than killer mistakes.

Ok. Dead hard is an instant mistake eraser that is far too versatile for a reusable exhaustion perk. Ds grants two minutes of invincibility per survivor and the only counter to it has a hard counter called unbreakable.

Swf allows too much communication and should be removed from the game, or should have difficulty modifiers to compensate for the advantage.

Removing SWF would kill the game and punishing people for playing in SWF is a nonstarter. They should buff solo queue to close the gap with SWF.

So how can swf be rare, and removing it will kill the game at the same time?

Either swf is rampant and they need to balance it accordingly, or it's rare and needs to be removed. You can't have it both ways.

  • I’ve actually been rewarded several times for a survivor making a mistake

  • Tell that to the baby ranks who get destroyed by killers easily

having early game and buffing weaker killers should be a priority

And claiming they are immune is bs lol

DS/UB: Make as many mistakes as you want and not get punished.

    Ever play Legion/Hag/Trapper?

  • If only. Go play solo queue. Its a constant thing.

  • They're not.

Yes killers get punished heavier for mistakes than survivors do alot of the time, but they're not immune, especially not solos.

Some mistakes survivors make can hand the killer win.

  • i understand what you say, since survivors are allowed to mess up a lot till 3 times (to actually get hooked and die but if the killer wasnt an insta down probably like 6 tiems each) and even 4 if they have ds for example creating taht extra chance or if unbrekable comes to play... meanwhile killers it jsut takes 1 mistake, that might be enough to lose the game, imo devs should do something about the game being just way too punishing for killers and almost nothing for survivors when they make mistakes...

  • Playing greedy? Sprint Burst. Playing greedy? Spinechill. Playing greedy? Dead Hard. Playing invincible mode? UB/DS. Crazy how they have all these perks that reward you for making mistakes, yet hey, Pop is OP and we should nerf something that actually rewards you for hooking people the more you do it.

Exhaustion perks have always been busted, yet it's one of those things people rarely make a big deal about.
