I absolutely do my best to let them grab Glyphs (especially the Yellow Glyph ones, and if I see they are doing a White Glyph challenge I'll let em be until they return from the basement). Obviously, as killer, whether you allow a Survivor to grab a glyph is entirely up to you, but I understand they aren't easy for a lot of Survivors to find/get so I give them a bit of time to collect it (plus, I'd rather focus on the Survivors working on the gens or searching for my totems if I have a Hex).

And I guess its only fair I share a few of my own. Shortly after Ghostface came out, I was so excited and I decided to give him a try. I remember the map was one of the Coldwind maps, but not 100% sure which one. I absolutely decimated the survivors, and thought..."Oh my goodness, I can't believe I 4K'd like that!"...the reason was it was a free to play weekend and discounted base game/dlc sale time...all 4 survivors only had tier 1 and 2 perks...I told my friends I play DbD with because I felt so bad, and one of them shared a GIF from Star Wars Ep III...the one where Anakin returns to the Jedi temple...you know the one...I still feel bad about that one years later.
The other is from this past 8 months or so ago...while waiting for a Clown queue, I decided to play around and mix and match his cosmetics...I needed to walk away from the keyboard, and 3 minutes later I was in a match...dressed as this:
To the Survivors of that round; ggs again, and I am so, so sorry... lol it was not an intended ensemble!

I definitely understand the frustration of someone leaving your game prematurely, whether you are Killer or Survivor it leaves the game a player short. But as already mentioned, it starts small for the reason that there may be more to a disconnect than it being a fully intentional ragequit/disconnect.
Internet issues happen (been there myself, including when playing with friends that were streaming and I was so upset), power issues happen, hardware/software issues happen, and even IRL issues that absolutely are a lot more important than an online video game match happen (been there too, more than once). Things out of our control are just a part of life, and shouldn't be hit with too harsh a penalty, and the 5 minute start is long enough to discourage an intentional DC, but not be an issue to those that had to wait for their internet to be restored or making sure an emergency that required going afk is seen to. Also noting, if someone is DCing repeatedly due to internet issues, it would be on the player to contact their ISP and see what the issue may be.
And, of course, anyone that does continue intentionally leaving matches will continually face longer and longer penalty times.

I don't think a thread pointing fingers at players playing on different platforms is really necessary. Also, a reminder that the globe icon means they are not on the same platform as yourself, that is not only Xboxes, Playstations, Switch, and Stadia, that is also the Windows Store, Epic, and, of course, Steam.
Please, let's all try to remember, we are all human beings, we here are all DbD players, and we are playing the same game.

As these kind of threads go downhill very quickly against content creators, big and small alike, I am closing up the thread here. I will note here in regards to the things brought up, and this applies to everyone playing the game:
To Point 1: While I understand the actions can be irksome to some people, please be aware that things such as teabagging and flashlight clicking are not reportable offenses, as noted here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
To Point 2: In regards to taking the game hostage as you described; if it is done after the 5 gens are done, you as Killer do have the ability to open a gate (or find the hatch if applicable) and begin the End Game Collapse. If they are completely refusing to work on gens or be in chases (i.e. refusal to progress gameplay for a prolonged or indefinite period of time, or a player keeping another player trapped in a corner for over a long while BEFORE EGC has started), that is considered holding the game hostage, and reportable (in game report IS required, Support Ticket is optional).
To Points 3 & 4: Threats, racism, harassment and bigotry in post-game chat are not tolerated. All that is required for Communications Abuse is the in-game report (Support Ticket optional). If you see a person doing this on any stream (not just a DbD or even a video game stream), you can report them to the platform that they are on, as such things are against the ToS of many places such as Twitch and YouTube.

Although the majority of the times its not really the character, but how they played. Players that aren't afraid to face a killer (and, yes, show me my counter-looping skills needs a LOT more improvement) get my respect ,and the hatch or some "killer" nods of respect at the exit gates.

Thursday I was running a DbD game night in a Discord, and we got the Garden of Joy map. I was running through the shack and not paying full attention as a friend was talking, and suddenly Dredge popped out of a locker right in front of me and I let out a scream so loud my other half thought something was wrong like another wasp in the house or something. 3 gens and 2 sacrifices later, I was so frantically focused on looking for the unkicked gen someone mentioned being near the main house, Dredge popped out of another locker right as I passed it (didn't scream, but it freaked me right the hell out)! I was the last survivor left, and by some crazy happenstance, I managed to find hatch during Nightfall, and could easily see his unnerving visage on my heels through the darkness before I did.
I have to say, I don't get jumpscared easily! I go through Haunted Houses like art instillations, I can watch horror movies without the slightest reaction, and I can count 3 times prior I got jumpscared in DbD (1- Tier 1 Myers pulling my oblivious butt off a gen in 2017/2018-ish, 2 - stealthed Ghostface coming around a quick corner and pulling my (again) oblivious butt off the Hex totem on Hawkins in early 2021, 3 - Looking over at a Sadako Rising PTB stream and a split second later seeing Sadako's glare for the first time).
Steven Spielberg said you only get one good scare out of an audience. After that, they are onto you. To be insanely scared that intensely twice in a match is truly fantastic and fun, and ever since that match, I'm a lot more on my toes with a Dredge than any other killers. Wuv u Dredge <3 lol

Well...this thread definitely exploded from when I first saw it earlier. After cleaning up some comments, I have reopened the thread for discussion. I want to sincerely thank all those having a respectful discussion in this thread, and hope that it continues to be civil and respectful in discussion.
I know it is human nature to wonder and speculate things, and discuss speculations. What I personally saw with the Q&A was they were answering a question regarding their favorite DbD character (I definielty understand picking Yui; she is easily a top 5 favorite Survivor for me between the hair, her lore, and perks...mostly the hair, I'm jealous of the hair a bit). I do understand the frustration of not having the video of the offense, however, that is the current and correct method to report that particular rule violation, as the ACMs do not ban without clear evidence of a player breaking the in-game rules, including hacking/cheating.

When you say "the reporting is broken" on PS4, are you referring to not being able to bring up the report option in the post game match, or that it won't send and hangs on the report, anything like that? If that is the case, I might suggest taking that over to Bug Reports if it hasn't been reported already: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs Please check and see if it has been reported already and upvote it, otherwise you can open a new report following the guidelines.
If you are referring to it feels like it doesn't do anything, I can assure you that is not the case whatsoever. When the correct procedures are followed, people are punished, even banned, for breaking the in-game rules. The in-game report button flags the match, and is required for all reports, regardless of the offense. In regards to cheating/hacking, along with the in-game report (required), a ticket with video evidence is also required to be sent to Support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Video of the match can be gathered via the 'Share' button on the PS4 controller and uploaded to Youtube as an unlisted video. Where it asks for Steam ID 64 or Gamertag, the name as it appeared in the match is all that is required. Lastly, in regards to your posted screenshots, they were removed as they violated our Naming and Shaming rule. This rule is to protect others from harassment and witch hunting, and a very common rule among many public forums.

I mean, those that participated in the slug race requested party hats in time to be active. I actually have a Twitch clip somewhere of my friend and I active RBT slug racing each other (the streamer, bless her, initially didn't want to let us try and leave with the active hats, but we did insist a bit pointing via out the exit, and we all enjoyed the slug race to our doom lol)

Just to clarify: So long as names are not shown or discussed in negative context (aka, Name & Shame, as the rule is called), it is ok to show them.
That is definitely some chaotic good "toxicity", Raccoon! I have yet to officiate a slug race, but I can happily say I have been a part of quite a few (my favorite are with active Pig traps and we race to see whose party hat goes BAKOOM first lol). Glad to see so many awesome people enjoying the Anniversary Event ❤️

Closing this thread here. While the suggestion is noted, I would strongly suggest playing out the game to the best of your ability to get to the next match.
I would also note the scenario mentioned by the OP in the thread body could very potentially be considered a violation of the Games Rules for Griefing if it was done with the full intention to have their teammates caught and killed.
I will also remind everyone on this thread that the promotion or admission of breaking Game Rules, such as Unsportsmanlike Conduct (i.e. DCing, frequently AFKing, etc), are against the rules here on the Forum, and I would advise to be very mindful of such things when posting in the future.

As others stated, usernames that would break a platform's TOS would need to be reported to the platform they are on (Steam, PSN, Microsoft, Twitch, etc).
I definitely understand that it is very difficult to report names on a cross platform basis, but unfortunately Support does not handle reports regarding a player's username, and is not able at this time to direct said reports to that player's platform. I did my best to take care of them. I haven't been this happy in over 20 years (life has been hard) and I think about them all day at work and show off pics and videos to my coworkers and customers! I make sure they eat well, that their litter is cleaned twice a day and they get plenty of treats and fresh water. I tire them out with toys at night and sometimes they all sleep next to me in bed (not always because I toss and turn). One cutie pie likes to lick my eyebrows when I lay down.
I was actually convinced to get the mother spayed by other forum members because I mentioned that I wanted her to experience motherhood at least once, but it was too late because she was a cow and was already preggo. While I am worried about finding them good families and the potential heart break, I am happy to have experienced this. They're all just so precious.
Also, I'm not getting no extra keyboard, I welcome the distraction :P I may feel guilty a little if they jump on while i'm on hook and can't hit the skill checks, but its okay, the random players are used to it.

That is them at night, on my bed, with me nearly hanging off the edge of the bed because I don't want them to move. It's actually pitch black but I had the flash on. Two more were sleeping by my head.
Aww bless their hearts. I can definitely tell you are a fantastic cat parent, and I'm so glad they've brought you so much joy (without going into my own background too much, I can very much relate to the feeling). I can also absolutely understand the anxiety of making sure they get good forever homes. If you get in contact with a foster, and if it is something you are ok with, you can always request the foster contact you if a homing doesn't work out for one of them. It is not super common that that'll happen, many experienced fosters check potential adopters well, but it can bring a bit of peace of mind. Definitely mentioned before, saying goodbye when they go to a home will be incredibly sad, but you'll have all those memories and pics and videos, and the knowledge you gave them a safe, loving start on life <3
And I too definitely understand the welcome distraction! Many of them are my "co-mods", they usually loiter around when I'm at the computer. Our late cat, Robin, would hang out and watch me play DbD very often (my friend once thought his meow through my headset was a Nurse screech and panicked 🤣), and the new kitties are starting to wonder about me when I'm playing too (and they LOVE DbD streams, especially when it shows killer lol my lil apex predators)

And that is a handsome pupper, what's his name?! And... I mean, even big they are still cute, but yeah, as a teen, when my parents brought home a 10 pound German Shepard pup and he jumped in your lap, it was much cuter/less painful than when he tried to do it as a 120lb large lad!

But in seriousness, they look happy and healthy and adorable, I'm so glad they are doing well! And I also found if they are infatuated with the keyboard (walking on it in particular, which mine like to do sometimes), using an old, spare keyboard will often distract em from your active one.
Although what I am seeing here is they just love ya and want to be around you by being near what you are often around ❤️

I'm not much for knowing how to fix some of the more complex tech issues, but I think I can handle this one:
1) Go to your Kitchen
2) Grab Cat Treats
3) Return to Computer
4) Execute Action "Shake Treat Bag"
5) Run manual audio file "Pspspspsps!!!"
That'll usually return functionality to your game lol

I'll put it this way...anytime I got a Steam Gift Card from friends or relatives on holidays or my birthday since the Cosmetic Store was added...it was almost always turned into turned into Auric cells (Except that time I got Among Us DLC for some of the pets).
I also added funds myself to Steam to get Sadako's Rotten Remains skin because it is gruesomely gorgeous, and Trickster's God of Desire skin because it is so cool and HE BLOWS YOU A KISS IN THE LOBBYmuhheartomg- I mean...uh...yeah, I really like it too :3

Closing this up here, as this thread has gotten out of hand.
Let me say here; representation is very important in many facets of media, and not just video games. BHVR cares very deeply about representation, which is why the Lore team worked so closely and for such a long time with GaymerX, to ensure representation was done right, and respectfully.
And as many on the thread answered, Yes: the people that work on the lore are not the same people that work on bug fixes, design changes, cosmetics, or programming. Representing the LGBTQIA+ community in game, who are normally under represented in all walks of life, does not effect fixing bugs, making character cosmetics, or adding new content to the game.

I miss it as well. Yes, some matches went better than others for me on Hawkins, but I still enjoyed it, both as Killer and Survivor. I miss the easter eggs in there as well, so many great little touches.
Hawkins was also the map I got jumpscared by a Ghostface so bad (was breaking a hex totem and not paying attention), I actually screamed and the friends I was playing with on Discord had a bit of a...RIP headphones moment lol

Yes, when a user's post count is under a certain number, edits will go to the Spam Filter. So once an account has reached a certain amount of posts (roughly 100) and we see a post you've made in the Spam Filter, we manually verify it when reviewing the post, so posts/edits no longer head to the Spam Filter.

I can't be mad when he does it to me, its pretty funny and turnabout is fair play, especially when he asks "Hey, are you in chase?" and I when I say yes I know whats very likely coming 🤣
As for me, what I find most satisfying is when I'm playing Trapper, and I lay down one of those random, "There's no way anyone will step in this, I don't know why I'm even setting it here, and I'm pretty sure at least 1 survivor saw me place this" and it does in fact catch someone. If I can pull them out of the trap or catch them fresh from the trap, that's icing on the cake, but just someone randomly getting caught by it makes me happy.

You absolutely deserve it, your art is fantastic! Your sketches are always adorable and well done (your beach/dating sim Nurse and Clown on another thread were adorable...yes, even Clown lol), and your pieces like the one shown on stream have such a great grasp of movement, light, tone, color, shadow, and contrast. And I will say, as someone that was in art school, your deft grasp of proportions has me a bit jelly, I still struggle with it a bit after all his time lol

Drsoontm is correct; we do not disclose information regarding the calculations of the DC penalty. The DC penalty goes up in increments, kept short initially (for things such as a stray internet/power outage, irl emergency, etc) but increases the more you DC (regardless of the reason for the DC). Just as the penalty builds up over time, the penalty decays over time, the information regarding that is purposefully not disclosed.
I'm afraid Support does not handle temporary bans such as those from a DC penalty, however, if you feel it is a technical issue with your PS4 or internet connection, we have a Technical Issue section of the Forum that may be of help: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues

Rift cosmetics may appear in the store starting 6 months+ after that Rift has closed; 6-12 months is usually the average, but it could potentially be longer than that. I definitely know how you feel, I have friends that missed parts of that outfit and are anxiously waiting to get what they missed, and one killer outfit I missed out on in an earlier rift I had to wait anxiously for to be in the store to buy (and it did and I got it and a mental happy dance ensued lol).

I personally think season 3 is stronger than season 2, and definitely worth it. I really-really liked Season 2, but I know a few of our friends said they struggled to get through season 2 (but said the following season made it worth it).
Definitely sounds like a good idea to watch em before the next season! I'm so excited for it; even just Robert Englund being in this coming season is more than enough reason for me to watch, but more Demogorgons is a close second lol

I'd also love some more cosmetics for Jeff. I love the current selection he has, but honestly, I just love and want more cosmetics for everyone, but Jeff especially lol
