On the flip side you could also just enjoy the game and let the grind come naturally
Yeah, like 95% of the players, but some are games destroyers who like to finish 100% of their games, and this kind of design makes ending 100% of the game impossible, or you have sooooo much hours.
-
No it's all but a well design perk, you have to kick multiple gen to really be effective, and after activation, you have to kick again some gens, the amount of time lost is incredibly high, some time you haven't in the higher ranks :/
-
I think it would be nice for him to be able to switch from Tier1 to Tier2 freely, that would be a good thing imo, he would be able to come with stealth and then switch to T2 to start a good chase. I don't know, but he has to get an add-on pass, and a buff to be less add-on dependent.

It always bugged me when people are saying "really good Nurse are unstoppable, she needs a nerf", like, really good Oni will stomp on you, a main Blight even more than the Oni, etc... There are players that are "maining" a killer, that are smart, and that have mastered every string you have to know while playing the killer.
It is the same for Nurse, but the people who finally mastered her have a sh*tload of hours with her, so yes, they know how survivors are reacting to her (blame yourself if you're super predictable or running in the open), they know exactly how to charge to blink wherever they want. I'm sorry, but Nurse is my favourite killer to go against by a very very long shot. But to counter her, you have to exactly know how Nurse is working (basically, you have to exactly know where the Nurse wants to blink).
She's fine, after putting 700 hours in her, and playing wisely, I have 4K/12 hooks non stop. But I never loose against a Nurse. The required skill to win against a Nurse is to have mastered the Nurse.

Nurse by far, they don't care if they only get 15k BP because the match was over after 3 minutes, the most important thing is to end it as quick as possible and show everyone that you're sooooo good and nearly unbeatable with Nurse...
Blight usually plays with sweatiest perks, but lately i also saw a lot of Nemesis' who played scummy and sweaty.
Oof man that hurts me xD
Tbh I always try to do a 12 hooks, so I earn a maximum of points and everyone plays the longest possible in the game. I don't know if BBQ/ Sloppy/ Lethal Pursuer/ Whispers is a sweaty build tho.
To me the sweatiest killer was Freddy by a long shot. Since the nerf, I would say... Spirit, yes Spirit.

My rules :
- last survivor drops his item, he lives.
- Unlegit DS (like running around to make me down him to DS me), he will die, same for flashlight spam click
- T-bag when in a comfortable position, you will die
- god looper, you will live if I manage to catch you.
- you drop too much items in my basement, you're hired and will live
- Cybil will live.
- If you die to manage to put a blast mine I take in my face, under my eyes, you will live.
That's all I think...

I know I'll be crucified but it would definitely be SpringTrap.
And if I want to be politically correct, I would say... Man I don't have that much culture. Something from Dead Space maybe ? I really enjoyed my time on this game

Everything you can use as a survivor against a killer is not working against a nurse.
Vault a window: She just blinks through and have a easy hit. If she is not close enough, just use the second blink and she can still preform a lunge attack.
Drop a pallet: She just go through and if she didn't go through she can just blink one more time and still have a easy hit.
Just break line of sight: Yeah, this sounds really easy. If you are in a open spot that is almost impossible.
As a Nurse you can blink 2 times and travel really big distance, the cooldown is too short and after 2 blinks she can still lunge.
I understand that for Nurse main killers it is really hard to play with almost every other killer, but I think that's mainly because they aren't good at chasing survivors because with the Nurse they don't have to deal with windows and pallets.
I think if you only play with the nurse you get used to the easy way of chasing.
If you're going to play with other killers i understand that you don't know how to chase a survivor.
Her add-ons are also too strong.
But hey, thats my opinion :).
Hell sh*t I love when the website decide to refresh and remove what I wrote.
I'll try to make this shorter because it was way too long
First you have to know how much the Nurse is charging and where she's looking (where she will land at any moment). With that you can make your decision waaay better. Playing against her without knowing where she wants to go is like playing against regular killer without looking at him. This implies to know exactly how the Nurse works, so, or you're a veteran, or you one day mained Nurse.
You have mindgame at windows, but you don't know them because you never played the Nurse. Same for pallets. Blame yourself if you're outpositionned in the beginning of the chase, or play Sprint Burst if you're lazy to be careful of your surroundings.
The second killer I play is GhostFace, M1 killer, my bad I know how to chase, and even as a Nurse I often anti-loop survivors without blinking (nobody's expecting that). Every main Nurse were one day main {anyKiller}, if you start with the Nurse, or you're stubborn and super confident, or you will uninstall the game after 3 games. Any Nurse main knows how to loop and how the game basically works.
Only the purple range add-on and the green recharge add-on are really powerful, and (maybe) OP together, the others are meh, or just good.
-
They are also "vanishing" in dark map for non color blind people ;)

@Marcavecunc said:
- "she has to get an add-on pass" a good Nurse can do very well without any add-on.
She already had an add-on pass though. And even add-ons won't help a bad nurse. But as you said, a good one doesn't need them. A no add-on build is viable for most killers if you're decent at them (though a few are very add-on reliant)
I know she had an add-on pass, but still a lot of people ask for a new add-on pass, this is why I talked about it.
And yeah, maybe BHVR are not doing good with their game, I have to recognise that killers are less and less add-ons dependent.

I think she needs a nerf
I don't think it would change anything but makes her really weak.
Nobody's talking about OP Blight when a dude has mastered him after countless hours. Nurse is the same, when you meet a God Nurse, it's because the player has a huge amount of hours with her, and he is doing good. Look Trapper with Otz, he's "making" him strong because he knows how to use him, and he plays smart. It's not like anyone can pick her, and do good with her. Even if you know how to blink perfectly, if you're chasing someone smart, blinking won't help you at all.
-
Tbh I really want to say Billy for the chase potential
But each time I meet a Billy, or he leaves me during chase after a moment, or he DC'd. I genuinely think you have to be seriously outplayed by yourself to be chainsawed by a Billy.
Wraith is more... Consistent I would say. And his add-ons are actually golden. Plus, a lot of people are talking about the great mobility Billy has, well, put Windstorm and you have a beast of speed and mobility with the Wraith. And Wraith has a giga lunge post uncloak, which would be his "Curve".
Wraith the best for me.
-
Any Exhaustion perk / Counter-Force / Small Game / Inner Strength is a pretty solid build for super fast heal and Hex haunting, but I'd rather put Quick and Quiet instead of Counter-Force, because I can hide in a locker and heal mid-chase sometimes.
I often have problems to find the first totem with Counter-Force, so it doesn't replace Small Game from my build :/
-
"Tunnelling '" and "genrushing" aren't real, they can't hurt you.

Actually that used to be the case, you could look up during the fatigue, but was nerfed to make it forced to look down for balance reasons
In fact now that i think about it, im sorta sure it was a bug that you could look up in the first place.
With BHVR we never know what's intended or not xD
Seriously, you can still look up during fatigue if you want. Throw your mouse forward after 50% of your fatigue duration, and you'll look up. I don't do that unless I really want the survivor to be dead.
-
Imo, it will be a The Game 2.0.
We have to learn the map first, and it's a complicated one above all, so time to know how to navigate through will be necessary.
Also, this is a good passive buff to WoO, it's a decent perk, and with a new map, it's a wise decision to pick it until you know the map

They need to remove the addons that reduce her cooldown after blinking because when combined they allow the Nurse to play just like before the nerf and completely avoid the cooldown.
After that, she is completely fine. Also, since I know these forums, I'll mention it right now, to save some time. Yes, I play Nurse, in fact I main her.
Tbh it's not my favourite combo, I never play with any recharge add-ons, they are making me dependant of these, I genuinely think the double range is far more powerful than double recharge.

I agree in the grand scheme of things its not really a big deal, but you can only have that perspective from being skilled. Nurse is one of the few killers that people get for free, and from the perspective of a new player - tracking is one of the toughest things to learn at the beginning, which is harmed pretty heavily by the FOV rotation.
So imagine being a new player as nurse, you successfully manage to use your power and then immediately lose the injured survivor because they ran off as far away as possible and you lost sight of them after the first .1 second of it because of the rotation.
Well, if the player is an actual beginner, he should never start with a "hard" killer, and Nurse is one of the killer's that are really hard to play. The game has to give to the players that are searching for some challenges perks, or killers that are very hard to play. I'm not a fan to make every gameplay kind of easy or beginner friendly (a thing Doom Eternal perfectly did). Nurse is hard, and a beginner shouldn't play her if he's not confident enough.
-
The "Kill the killer" build :
Smash-Hit, Flashbang, Blast Mine, DS.

@BenihimeWrath said:
Honestly I think what they need to do is reduce the forced downward FOV rotation during fatigue, lowering the burden of entry to nurse, thereby increasing the variance between bad and godly nurses. Its probably this mechanic that most obstructs new killers in general from practicing nurse.
To be honest, this is why I played and play her, the challenge to master her you know. This is her power that makes her hard to play, the fatigue look down is "just" a little bit frustrating, but that's all.

sure dude that's why she's always the top killer in the game by anyone's cause she can be looped, I guarantee that people of equal skill in survivor and nurse the survivor goes down in less then 45 seconds every single time most likely quite a bit less. Also you don't really loop a "god" nurse you hope to a god that isn't listening that she misses and you run to the nearest line of sight breaker and hope again, repeat till she downs you inevitably and if you don't have dead hard you dying in one teleport less. I'm sorry but anybody that says "nurse has proper counterplay" I just cant take seriously.
Well, I wonder how can I run a Nurse for ages when everyone is down under 20s, I guess I'm lucky everytime I meet a Nurse.
Seriously, play Nurse for a month, and you'll know the situations where you can do something to counter her.
But hey, yes, to know her weaknesses, you have to be bullied at least for three weeks by survivors while playing her. Everyone can't do that.

Because she's far too strong. She comes from a time when infinite's were common place. People seem to think that just because she takes skill, that her game-play design of ignoring every means of survivor defense is okay.
Not to mention, it's absolutely miserable for people trying to learn her, because of her insanely high skill cap.
I'm just gonna copy paste :
The amount of skill required to "loop" a god Nurse is equal of the skill the latest is showing while playing her.
If you really know how to play Nurse, you know how to play against her.
Those who are saying she's broken af never put time into learning her. She has weaknesses that no other killers have, same for her strength, you "just" have to know how to play around her weaknesses.
And I would add that the "insane high skill cap" is what Nurse players are searching for, the feeling of "You can always improve". If you meet a God Nurse, it's not the Nurse that is carrying the player, but the player that has learned how to master her.

I mean the problem with nurse is that if you are good enough at nurse you nullify any amount of survivor skill until you get up to the very tippy top of tournament players and even then if its a small enough map it still wont really matter. There's a reason most tourneys are just nurse and spirit unless they limit how many times those killers can be played. So sure you can says she balanced due to her requirement of skill to even be a functioning killer let alone the best killer in the game bar none but having that insane skill still result in a nigh impossible killer to face still doesn't seem right to me.
The amount of skill required to "loop" a god Nurse is equal of the skill the latest is showing while playing her.

I get that but it wasn't really necessary in the RE games either.
It's even a entire Capcom thing. The Devil May Cry franchise does the same. Devs do what they want to do ...
-
I think the same, it's weird. I mean, before it was Stridor that counters Iron Will, and now it is the opposite, weird u-turn
-
Imo the only counter to Spirit will be Iron Will and Fixated.
-
His rev charging time has to be reduced a little, it takes so much time for a survivor to find somewhere to dodge the chainsaw...
I don't even remember when was the last time I got chainsawed... Each time I meet a Billy, it's a 5 gen chase....
-
It's definitely a bug, i had the same problem with friends, we got games in like... 20 seconds ? And then we couldn't get any game in 15 minutes.

Hey Nurse main. Nurse would handle DS basekit, but not normal killers. Nurse wouldn't care about basekit DS, because she is really good at slugging.
And based on your comments, you don't play killers. You may get carried by Nurse to rank 1, but that's all.
I'm not carried, I mastered her and know how to play her, it's not only point and blink for the win, and even with that, I manage survivors resources for them.
Anyway, go for the rescuer if you don't want to get DS'd. That's all. BT isn't a problem.

Don't worry my friend, it seems to be a lower ranks discussion above. They can't understand how it would be OP to have a DS basekit.
However, I agree that even if these are "legit tactics" (tunnel and camping), they are also fun breaking tactics and don't encourage to earn new skills. I agree that something should be done against HEAVY camping and Heavy tunneling because it takes time to find a lobby, then if you are unlucky enough to get caught at the begining of the trial, being camped and tunneled makes DC'ing legit IMO, anyway you wouldn't get more than 3000 BP after this trial cuz you did legit nothing but got camped...
I feel I'm included by what you're saying, I'm a rank 1 Nurse since 2020, I know what I'm talking about.
-
@Power_Guy said:
No, DS should never be basekit. Imagine a new 4 perk meta with basekit DS. That would be beyond OP.
And increasing the stun, when it's already multiplied by 4 Survivors?
Camping and tunneling are tactics. Same as genrushing, hiding, flashlight saves, and t-bagging to get the Killer's attention. You don't get to decide how Killers play simply because you dislike losing. 🤷♂️
Man stop xD current DS isn't meta at all, it has none usefulness now, it just barely prevents tunnelling. You can't do anything that will develop the game, it is not a problem anymore, saying the opposite is nonsense
-
It allows you to know if some loops are safe or not. Some loops are better with or without the breakable doors.
-
The flashbang is super laggy plus easy to dodge, and the blast mine is useless, I mean, Repressed Alliance is better than Blast Mine, please...
-
It's true that camping and tunnelling are very strong these last weeks, don't know why.
The current DS should be basekit, and the perk DS would improve the stun or the duration of the timer
I may be a killer main, and I hated the old DS more than anything, but now killers feel that less and less people run DS, and play around it
-
Just hide in a locker if you have any doubts the Shape uses the Tombstone. Problem solved.
-
Okay boys, you take your best chrono, and you activate it while doing a gen. If you're solo it will take 80s without boost, and if you're two or more it will depend when you will start to work on it.
Survivors are getting better and better with time, more productive. That's all.
-
Well, about RCPD, they blacklist it because it's too huge, "unplayable". So they try to fix their errors I guess.
-
It happened and happens to us all, "just" learn to be very cautious around hooks. Sure it would be great if they'd change that, but I don't think they will change it this year. There are so much more things more important than that that has to be fixed.
-

Make her toenail brown add-on default kit (tiny tone nail). But that's not what I'm here for today.
Hostage-taking Victor. can we please get Victor back without having to wait 2 min and then additional 1 min to recharge victor. I'm sick and tired that my baby Victor gets hostage taken every game making me have no power.
Another feedback for the twins. If the hook is empty allow the twins to swap there since there are hooks everywhere on the map which makes it almost impossible to use her power
Hostage taking Victor is the only counter to Twins, it's incredible how fast she retreives Victor after being kicked...
-
I don't want my favourite perk to be reworked, the perk is fine as it is... :/
-
Oof I'm not alone thinking it would be overpowered... Imagine, Dead Hard and that Power Struggle to make killers lose their minds. You just have to die under a pallet to be safe, free "DS" everywhere
-
Well this could be broken imo, something has to be done to help killer in the early game, but that could be very very strong. Corrupt/Pop/Lethal Pursuer is a super strong combo, and that change would give a perk slot to perform at the start.
-
@Salty_Pearl said:
I am hoping that Oppression will get the Eruption and Hysteria treatment where it's long cooldown gets shortened. Oppression already isn't that great of a perk and with an 80 second cooldown, it doesn't get any better. If they won't shorten the cooldown, then they should at least buff it so that on top of the difficult skillcheck, if a Survivor fails it there is a 6% increased regression penalty like Lullaby.
It should be 40s, 80s is wayyy too long as you said
-
Yes, they're not strong
But
Hell they're fun to use (flashbang and blast mine, I don't have to say anything), Bite the Bullet + iron will counter Spirit (you make no noise, and Spirit players don't understand anything, niche, but you can use it !), Resurgence while playing solo is kind of useful, and in team with We'll make it, you're productive af.
-
Sure it's a strong perk, people that are saying it is a bad perk are the one opening the gate and immediately escaping, not trying to end the NOED game the chad way.
Sure it can be annoyed, in a hard and beautiful game, being hit by a NOED and... That's all folk, you lost, it feels like a robbed win. It's the same frustration as a Dead Hard for the killer, but as survivor.
This perk is a "Plan B" perk, meaning that the killer ran only 3 perks the 3/4 time of the game. A Hex that only works in the end game has to be strong.
And to counter it... You can run Small Game, which is better than before, and a base game perk (combine it with Inner Strength, and Quick and Quiet, very strong build) to cleanse all the totem, or each time you see a totem, DON'T CLEANSE IT. Remember where the totems you see were, and if there is noed, go to see them. "Do bone" is dumb, by cleansing the totems you saw, you probably let in the game the best hidden totems in the game.
The perk is fine imo, strong it's obvious, frustrating too for survivors, but it's a legit perk I think.

I mean, 20-24 meters WITH dropped pallets would make it strong-ish.
Well, sure it would make it strong if it works with dropped pallets too, but I don't know if it's too much, or if it would be useful. If a pallet is strong, sure you broke it. The main problem with this perk is its range imo
-
Well, to be honest I think they decided to hide from the killer, as it is his work to also remember who has already been hooked, and I'm okay with that.
I don't like when I'm carried by the game :')
-
That wouldn't change anything. They have to change the range of the effect. 32 meters could be just broken, so 24 or 28 meters can be a solution. It is a hex, so it has to be strong.

Yeah the problem to me is that the number of games where I get to do that stuff is very low. Killer too bad? I loop them for like 10 seconds and they leave, or they lose me immediately. Killer too good? they catch me immediately. Heck some games I don't even SEE the killer because they refuse to give up chasing another survivor.
That's why I love this game, you can always improve ! As you said, if the killer is good, he catches you quite fast, it means you can improve your gameplay in some ways !
-
That should be a challenge like "Hit 4 times a contaminated survivor with your power in tier 3", imo
