  • It's a bug she has from the very beginning, so many nurse players have requested to fix that horrible bug, you have my vote man

  • There is a bug with Breakdown ?

Just hide the key somewhere and now you've wasted a perk slot.

Franklins isn't really good against keys

Yeah, each time I find a random key I know I have to hide it or I'll get tunnelled (and it's fair, I hate brought key too). You have a key, you hide it, and the killer won't be able to do anything (unless he literally stomps on your team, you're bad and he's very efficient).

Brought keys have to lose their power to save everyone, and just be a player's aura reading.

  • Jackal in Legendary from Halo 2 is the scariest thing that has ever existed, thank you for remembering me that. It has to be added as a killer in the game.

Joke aside, I don't know what's the thing you're talking about, sorry :') gonna check

  • Head-on zero counterplay ? My lord, the only times I got Head-On-ed is when a friend of the chased guy was waiting in a locker.

Actually, my good sir, if SWF are doing H-on plays, it means at least two people are doing nothing : the guy you chase, and the guy that is waiting in a locker. Plus the stun is not that long.

And if you can't bait one surv you saw goes in a locker... Be careful. Also, the survivor has to wait 3 seconds in a locker to activate Head-On. 3 seconds, it's long, you see him goes in a locker ? Immediately grab him.

  • Recovering from the exhaustion effect while running is too powerful. Put this with Vigil, in the hand of a good looper, you would take so much Dead Hard or Sprint Burst that you will have nightmares of it.

BUT, you can tweak the thing by doing that :

You recover from the exhaustion at a 15/20/25% rate of the normal recovery speed. (The max rate would be 50%, or it would be OP af).

I also want No Mither to actually rewards good loopers, without being totally overwhelming (like, if it is better to only have one health state and No Mither than having two health states, it would be a problem, No Mither should be a very hard perk to use).

I honestly didn't mind Huntress's iri hatchets but I can see why people hated them. But I do think they went overboard on the nerf (would prefer make it 2 and cap at 2 instead of 1). Id honestly rather them just remove them at this point and give her a different ultra rare.

Yeah they over nerfed it. It would be nice to have the insta down for hit from more than 16 meters, and letting the base 5 hatchets capacity.

  • There is one thing they have to stop : add-ons that are nerfing the power but offer points... No one uses these add-ons, and they are often brown (Nurse has also a yellow add-on of that kind, plus a brown. Two super useless add-ons).

  • It would be amazing if they optimize the entire game and fixe all the bugs.

I prefer a big optimization and bugfix patch than new contents every months... It's DbD, not Fortnite...

Both things are true, but actually, the fact that killers play cheap killers does not depend on the fact that survivors play cheap perks. Both sides would still keep being cheap even if the other side would not.

See what I wrote above. A lot of players often tried to play another killer (low tier or uncommon killer, called it what you want), but it's just a vaccine to try this in the higher ranks, each time I try another killer I'll chain SWF depip squad... I guess some would say "just depip in the lower ranks so it's more healthy", but, it's super annoying to wait 15 games just to play another killer that maybe won't be for you.

Then, I stay with higher tier killers (Nurse main, but love to play PHead, currently I'm bullied because I want to play Trickster).

  • When you run a not so powerful killer you're being gen rushed the sh*t out of you, t-bag, "gg ez", spam click etc.

Just play Trickster a few games, you will be surprised how often survivors will try to BM you if they can.

So yes, I changed for Nurse, and I accepted to be hard bullied for 3 months to master her, and now I choose how games are going, playing with any build I want, a thing that a few killers can do.

    @JimbusCrimbus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/246164/i-bored-face-against-nurse-spirit

I'm bored of going against survivors with the same builds every game. There are 89 survivor perks. I don't remember the last time I saw Babysitter, Vigil, Lightweight, Open Handed etc.

So much Dead Hard, Unbreakable users. Lithe, Balanced Landing, Sprint Burst and Iron Will is so common. Most of my matches I am seeing some combination of those perks. Others so rare.

There's your answer. Killers run power killers because survivors run the same busted and boring meta, and have been for years.

ALSO - even if you see someone like Trapper, Demo or Pig rarely - it's far more common to run into a killer that isn't played often than it is to run into a match without survivors running the crutch meta. Food for thought.

And yes, this good sir got a point. We killers play high tier killers because survivors play ultra meta build, and the more you have an high rank, the more you'll meet SWF, with Prove Thyself and all the meta and powerful build, trying hard to win, Brand New Part, purple medkit, key, ...

If you play a low tier killer without completely mastering him, and without playing perfectly, you'll get stomped.

I don't know how much time I tried to play another killer, and got instantly BM-ed. So yes, I keep playing Nurse and Executioner.

  • Because, unlike the other exhaustion perks, it robs you a hit when you're about to end the chase. The situation was "this is it, I hit him, hook him and protect gen" turned into "let's be looped another X minutes", making the feeling of losing time far more powerful.

The perk is not a problem, I fear more 99% Sprint burst users than DH users.

But hell yeah DH is a frustrating perk, and I say that as a Nurse, I know what I'm talking about....

  • It is fine because it is a high risk high reward move. If there is one or more Unbreakable, you lost. If this is a coordinated team, you lost. If you're looped too long and far from your slug(s) (and often there is a hook nearby), you lost your pressure.

Definitely boring when it is abused (like with knockout, but Infectious is not a problem) for example if the killer doesn't stop slugging until everyone bleeds out (an unnecessary over slugging is not better than just hooking people, it's just annoying as a survivor).

As a killer, I know that to be slugged is kind of boring, as you said, some accept that, and some don't. But sometimes, you have to slug, because there are moments where the more efficient strategy is to slug. As sometimes the right move is to defend your kill by patrolling your hook. This is not fun for the survivors, but being rolled over and see all the gen flying is not fun for the killer neither.

Survivors' fun is often the main subject in debate, but rarely the killer's fun, he is a player too.

The reason I made this is because of the anti stealth aspect. I can’t speak for everyone but speaking for myself when I was still a baby survivor I put this perk on but it ended up screwing me in the long run as I ended up depending on it to tell me when a killer who isn’t just 4.6 with 32 meter TR was coming towards me. I eventually got better without it but I feel it’s a perk that definitely can mess up newer survivors

Well, sure as a new survivor you can be dependant to Spine Chill (when to go, when to be alert, when the killer gave up the chase, etc).

But I think it's a good way to learn how to act when you think the killer is on your way. When you'll want to change your build and quit your good ol' Spine Chill bro, you'll have to learn to be more or less alert until you know who is the killer. This is skill gap between baby survivor and a pretty decent survivor.

  • Her power is balanced. Like, she's a 4.4m/s killer, her power has to be strong. Plus, she can't break pallets or vault while phasing. So, I think her power is not a problem at all.

    BUT

The fact that survivors don't know when she's phasing and where she is more or less is a problem. On the survivor side, to live or die is based on luck, on the Spirit side, kill is based on hearing and out zoning the survivor.

Imagine a Nurse that wouldn't raise her hand and makes her breathing sound when she charges her blink.

As a survivor it's not fun, it's not skill based, because there isn't any feedback at all to play with.

  • For me yes, killers need an efficient basekit regression.

I mean, for the lower tiers killers, it's hard for them to win without having a solid top tier build. Killers should be able to use any decent build.

I don't know if what you proposed is the right solution, but I'm 100% for a decent basekit regression.

  • I was a big user of the fast vault build (Sprint Burst/ Resilience/ Spine Chill/ any other perk) for a long time, then I changed for the fast Sprint Burst recovery build (SB/ Fixated/ Vigil/ any other perk), but didn't pick Spine Chill as the 4rth perk, and I never felt I messed it.

Yes, it's a very good perk in many different ways, but if you don't know how to use it, it's just an anti-stealth perk. And as a killer, just moonwalk if you think there is a spine chill user.

I honestly think it would be better to just reduce this by -10 seconds at base. These ideas aren't bad, but just too much for the devs to probably implement for a simple mechanic, it would also make it too complex. 10 seconds seems just perfect for his base kit power.

Plus, I'd like to add that it wouldn't make Ghostie boi independent from his add-ons with that patch.

  • I agree that IriHead had to be nerfed because point-blank hatchets were impossible to avoid (as you said, hatchets over pallets, it was an impossible situation for survivors).

    @Weck

Since when is vaulting a window, dropping from a great height hard?

Seriously...? That's the best you come up with? Don't worry we'll start advocating for a vault so DH activates, I'll get right on it. lmao

Yes being injured is a big disadvantage considering the other perks are able to be used WHILE remaining healthy. So while you may think it is an 'easy' requirement, it is still a condition. Being injured is far worse than being healthy.

Actually falling from a great height is hard as there are maps where you can't fall, and you can't use it everywhere. Or you stick with a side of a map where you can fall, and you're not productive, or you move and do objectives, but you won't be able every time to make it to a high ground. Balance is one of the best exhaustion perks, but maps design makes it the worst one (well no, there is Head on, but it is a meme perk).

But yeah, Lithe is easy as fck (excuse me, as ###) to use, Sprint burst yes and no as if you decide to use it while you're not in chase, you can start a chase without it, and if you decide to not use it, you're not that productive as you're slow (and that is why I'm a big fan of SB/Fixated/Vigil)

About DH, sure it is annoying, and for distance it is hell impossible to counter if you have to M1. As a Nurse main myself, I hate this perk, it's so damn frustrating. But even with that, I don't know what to think of Dead Hard :

Too powerful ? Too easy to use ? Is the fact that it absolutely counters 2-3 killers a problem ? Do we have to entirely rework it because it is a frustrating perk ? [.....]

    I just don't know :/

Or just run Freddy with his add-ons that now counter both Iron Will and Lucky Break without sacrificing a perk slot.

If Lucky Break remains as is, Freddy will become even more abundant than he is now.

Ow man I'm main Nurse, keeping track of surv is so vital, like so much more than the other regular killers, this Lucky Break buff is worrying me, sure it has to be buffed, but not that way :s

  • @Mr_K said:

The ability to M1 so quickly it can't be Dead Harded

Nurse is the one killer Dead Hard affects the most. All others can bait it out.

As a survivor, you know that the first blink would rarely be lethal if you are playing carefully. But you know one thing : Dead Hard after hearing the second blink is often a good idea.

  • You know that it is so strong that this perk will be the new DS meta, right ?

That every hot surv from your games will bring Iron Will / Lucky Break / Dead Hard / [Adrenaline or Unbreakable or Prove Thyself or Borrowed Time] ?

And that the combo Iron Will / Lucky Break will makes killers have to run Spies from the Shadow or Stridor every game ?

I think this is bad for the meta. Killing the invincibility perk aka old DS created a lot of fun builds out there, and Lucky Break will destroy that.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2103282#Comment_2103282

Hrm. I think a shorter time with a cooldown is actually MORE powerful than a single, long duration use. In application, I'm not constantly running. In fact, I get annoyed seeing everyone run every where, leaving trails for the Killer to pick up. I'd JUMP at the chance to take the Perk the way you are suggesting, because most of the time I evade get caught and hit, and manage to lose the Killer briefly. This would give me a huge leg up and be useable again and again. There is normally at least a minute before I get hit again. Do you see what I mean?

I'm not certain I would take the new Perk, even with the big boost, as a single use. I'm not sure I'd get enough return on it since I'm able to generally evade the Killer and DO NOT leave a scratch marks already simply by knowing when not to run.

Yeah I see what you mean, but err, I don't know, in both cases, the perk is so strong. Killers have to be able to track survivors, or at least, survivors have to do something difficult for such good effect, or something unique so any survivor can't have it the same time.

Currently, the perk is "YOU GOT HIT ?! OH MAAAAN, take this, go away." That's all. :/

  • @Azshhh said:

Couldn't you also just run whispers to track anyone using this combo?

    Or Stridor?

Plus aura reading still works unless they start running off the record aswell

You often have aura reading while chasing someone ?

Yeah personally I'm a big user of Whispers, but if the survivor is careful you would waste so much time trying to triangulate the survivor position with Whispers.

Stridor yes, it seems to be the only good counter to this new Lucky Break. But if Lucky Break would be as strong in practice as I think, every survivor that wants to win will use it, so the meta would be unidimensional and with no diversification (something that happened with old DS, now I meet survivors with very fun and surprising builds), and for killers, it implies that you'll HAVE to run Stridor.

And when something is a must-have or everywhere in a meta, it means that there is a balance problem somewhere.

  • It will be overpowered as hell. Even if it's single usage (because it is disable for the rest of the game after being activated, or am I wrong ?), 90 seconds is so massive !

So well, you can say "hit him, and go away for another surv, you won't have to deal with it later". You lost a little bit of your time (time that is very important at the beginning), go away, chase another survivor and... Same thing, Lucky Break. So what, you go away again ? For regular killers it would be a pain, but imagine for a freaking Nurse, how it would be impossible to deal with that perk.

    @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/242089/lets-talk-about-lucky-break

It will certainly be better, but I don't think it will be broken. As it stands the Perk is pretty pointless now. Most Killers track by the scratch marks, not the blood. Two minutes of not leaving a blood trail before the Perk is inert for the rest of the game isn't the most useful thing. In short, the Perk clearly needed a boost.

Sure, the perk clearly needs a boost, we all agree about that, it's so bad. But this is not a reason to make it absolute top tier overpowered perk. It's ok to have / create powerful perk, but perks that have no counter or totally erasing a whole important part of gameplay ? That's not okay.

The duration has to be severely reduced, (4/6/8 seconds imo), with a 60s cooldown or single usage between each hook, or is enabled each time you unhook someone.

  • Nice joke, it made my day.

  • Hey dude, if you want to learn the Nurse, depip, even in 5-9 ranks it would be nightmarish to learn her.

Also the good ol' classic Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer will be your friend to have longer games and free chases.

And about ranking/MMR, the current system is """not""" that bad. Let me explain.

It provides more or less short queue time, as you can be with/against players with possibly a big difference of level (stronger, or easier). As there is not that much players, this is possible that there is not that much people with the same amount of "skill score" (MMR/ELO), so, depending of your score, you can meet a "desert" playerbase interval, where you would wait for an incredibly long time to have a match.

Plus, the stronger you'll get as a survivor, the lesser the diversity of killers you'll meet, because there are some killers that are way stronger and viable than others.

As a survivor, I don't want to face only God Nurse, Stridor Spirit, Forever Freddy, Slug Master Oni, Shadow Clone Jutsu Hag, with the same top tier meta perks. I like to meet Demo Boi, Ding Dong Wraith [...], with sometimes fun builds that will outplay you because you didn't expect some perks.

As a killer, I don't want to face only sweaty SWF, Prove Thyself, OoO, Borrowed Time, Adrenaline, all Medikit and Toolbox, and sometimes Keys, hatch offering and map offering. These games are unfun, you'll get spitted on the face at the end of the match and during the match.

Because this is what would be red ranks if an actual and efficient MMR system replaces the current rank system.

Dead By Daylight is a casual game, a cool asymmetrical game. Sure there are some people that gets crazy good at it, but it has NOT to become an hardcore tryhard game like StarCraft, Overwatch, LoL, ...

And even with an actual MMR system, it won't stop teams or people to lose game to lower their skill scores, and stomp on weaker players.

I'll always remember how 2K optimized Borderlands 2 7 years after it was created (it was done to celebrate the incoming Borderlands 3). The game was more beautiful than before, from far, and gained +25% FPS. This type of optimization should be released the sooner possible after you release your game imo...

  • The easiest way to get grabs is to farm with survivors, grab the on gens and let them wiggle out. Or play double range add-on Nurse Tinkerer. With Tinkerer you have many occasions to have grabs. Ghostie boi can also have grabs.

  • Well that could be a thing, maybe a good idea on the paper, but it can increase power gap between killers.

I mean, look at Huntress' perks, then look at Nurse' perks. Huntress is a good killer, but her perks are... Well, they are really bad. But Nurse is a super strong killer, and her perks are very good (unless Thana, but hey, it combo very well with Nurse' Calling, and Sloppy), so the Nurse, who is omega strong, would get her base perks more powerful (so this combo would be more powerful too !).

See what I mean ? It would make balancing killers more difficult than it already is currently

  • Making NOED base kit is maybe broken, some people think it's a bad perk for some reasons, but 90% of the games where there was NOED, it destroyed survivors. It's a good perk, not the best, from far, but a good perk.

But sure the moment when survivors did all the gen, yes, it's a desperate moment for the killer. Maybe make opening the gate longer based on how much totems are left ?

Totems have to serve other thing that just tools for Hexes or points for survivors. The game design team has to find a way to make them a real secondary objective.

You can play the build you want but before the DS nerf most of the survivor were running 3 or 4 second chance perk so killer always assume those perk just like survivor who assume killer run bbq in every game

I assumed (and currently I assume that...) when I see one Dead Hard, it's a perk you bring as a survivor when you want to perform, and if you want to perform you bring a sh*t load of other meta perks.

And before, it was super easy to know if someone had the ""classic"" unbreakable/DS, the surv was playing like a d*ck head, just unhooked, injured, but working on a gen in front of you. And that was horrible.

I'm a killer main, and DS has to be addressed. And it is done, and damn, the killer life is soo much healthier. You see someone on a gen, you can safely chase him and hook him.

BUT, when I play survivor, I have to say that there is a lot. A DAMN LOT of killers that now is just chasing only 2 people until one of them is dead. Yes, talking about tunnelling two survivors is kind of weird and seems troll. You chase the first survivor, hook him, and find another one, hook him, and next you search the first one, hook him again, then search the second one [...]. That way you kill someone the faster possible. In some extreme cases, the killer just stopped everything the second the first guy was unhooked.

Because as everyone knows, DS is not that used, and the survivor, if he had it, has probably done something that deactivated it. But at the moment it's legit, you know the killer is chasing someone, how could you know that he would instantly stop his chase to come back at you ?

This is where the DS nerf / the absence of Obsession show up a problem :

In red ranks, killers know that tunnelling someone out of a game is the more efficient strategy to start the game. So in some way, we're back at square one : we have to run DS, and/or play immersive as f*ck to survive more than 1:30 if you're the first chased.

DS now is perfectly balanced, I think everyone would agree with me about that here. But the power to just be able to play the game has not to be a perk. Imo the current DS has to be a basekit thing, like struggling to be able to get out of the killer's grasp, like be able to try to self unhook. These are mechanic that let survivors have a chance if killers are greedy (wants to bring me to the other side's hook of the map ? nah) or if you're unlucky (unlucky if no one is able to unhook you, you can try the 4%). And DS would extends, somewhat improves that mechanic, for example, by increasing the timer value, or increasing the stun, or giving you a +7% haste effect during DS timer,......

I may be a killer main, but I'm a convinced one that hard and unfair tunnelling has to be punished basekit.

  • @SilentPill said:

I just tunnel if there’s no obsession, survivors don’t wanna pay the DS tax and instead been stacking up on the other second chance perks instead. No reason not to punish the greed.

Excuse me my good sir, but that's a bit short sighted and a disgusting way to play the game. I mean, survivors are players, and if everyone is reasoning like you, every random surv has to bring DS in case there is no one to run it the next game... That is stupid, and that's why I always hated that perk, I don't want to run a perk to survive more than 1:30 minutes.

And "instead stacking up on the other second chance perks" that's not the case every time... My build as a survivor is or "Sprint Burst/Resilience/Spine Chill/Fixated" or "Sprint Burst/Fixated/Vigil/Kindred", you can't say it's meta or second chance perks stacking build... But you'll tunnel me like I'm running a crappy build.

And Spirit, well, suddenly she's on you, screamer like, do I have to say more ?

id reccomend lobby dodging if you want to have a easier time, tho i rarely do it, i only do it for legacy skins really

Meh, there is one guy over 1000 that has a legacy skin, and 3 guys over 4 who have a legacy have cheated to get it. I see a legacy, I know it will be a fun game with someone arrogant that doesn't know how to play at all.
