    3 years. 2016-2019

Came out in October of 2016. It's more like 2 years and 4 months :P

I would say Adrenaline is more useful.

At least it has a requirement though. DS you kinda just get for nothing.

Killers tunnel. This is a way to counter it. DS needs a weakspot and a niche instead of a get out of jail free card. This also motivates killers to not tunnel because then survivors will actually be able to use their DS if they do. It's a win win.

if you get instantly tunneled off hook and dont move you dont get to use it. even if you make it a little ways they'll just dribble you back :/ its a lose most of the time, win some perk.

Not really. If you see the killer coming back, you shouldn't just stand on the hook. If you do, that's on you, not your perk being nerfed. If you're decent and you're getting tunneled, you will get a lot of use out of this perk. It's a counter to a scummy tactic.

  • Amazing. This perk really needed this change, and this is a take on it I didn't expect. I don't want this to change at all.

  • What? How is this a buff? It actually has a requirement now and has counterplay. Just don't tunnel and go after the survivor that unhooked. Easy.

I hate playing against Hillbilly and Doctor more than Legion. I even hate playing against the Clown and Freddy more than Legion.

Legion is just massively annoying, but he technically tunnels less than Wraith, but actually has mechanics built-in to discourage tunneling, unlike Wraith.

Legion's design forces you to tunnel though. There is no real way for you to kill anyone by speading the pain across multiple survivors in higher levels of play. The survivors just mend and do gens. As a result, the only way to do well as Legion is to go after one survivor, which although takes a really long time, always ends up with the survivor going down. Eventually they get downed two more times, and then they die. That's why it's bad design.

Legion is not designed to kill survivors, it's a Emblem farming machine by design.

I read in another post that some players even consider Legion being the perfect Killer for Survivors.

I'm one of them. Legion can easily pip without killing anyone. They can easily get hits without actually being good in chases. They get lots of bloodpoints on top of all that. They can even pallet loop! ...but they suck at killing Survivors. Which is fine if you're a Survivor main, you don't want to kill your fellow survivor friends. Perfect!

Problem is, it's annoying when you face a Legion that actually wants to kill people because then you'll have a hard time getting rid of them.

Yeah that's my point really. You can emblem farm with them, but in reality it doesn't pan out like that because most killers want to, you know, kill. This is really the only way to do it. Can I blame Legions for wanting kills? No. Do I want to be tunneled by a killer with no counterplay because of it? Not in the least bit. Something tells me this won't get attention for a while like how long it took for DS to finally get its nerfs, though.

  • Hope would essentially always be up and would just make chases way too long. Hope is fine as is. Maybe the same buff for like 3-5 seconds would be better, like a mini-adrenaline.
Technician would still be useless really even with those buffs. It needs an additional effect, not just number changes.
The Left Behind effect would honestly be better on Technician. Remove the generator explosion and add this effect instead. It would make more sense since Technician is a stealth perk and Left Behind is not. Left Behind has its own problems and reasons why it's useless, however they are looking to change endgame, so we'll see how it works after those changes. A buff to the numbers and a new effect, such as opening exit gates faster when alone, would be good.
Vigil should be left alone. It's useless for a reason. If you buff it by adding an effect like this, it just becomes insanely overpowered. The last thing I want is to have to deal with two sprint bursts in a row from the same survivor.
That's a good change to Dark Sense. I think that's how it should be too, and it wouldn't push it to the point of being overpowered.

Rank 1: Fun for swf, unfun for killers.

Not very fun for survivors in general too. All you ever see is Nurse, Billy, Legion over and over and all of them are reddit killers lol

  • We'll Make It, neither, Deliverance, Sabo

  • There isn't any. Just play how you want. No stopping you

  • It would probably lead to more visual UI confusion if your perks continuously lit up over and over again with simple actions such as running and crouching. All these other perks light up after a condition is met that usually can't be applied and unapplied over and over again. I don't really think this is that big of a deal. As long as you read what the perk does, and the perk lighting up actually conveys some important information (not when your scratch marks fade away 3 seconds less), then it's fine. An example is the change to Make Your Choice. Lights up when you're far enough away, leads to more clarity on a perk that needs it. UE and Lightweight? Not so much

I really can't understand why some of you think that. I don't find games against any killer boring if they are good and not toxic.

People have different tolerances to certain gameplay aspects. Not all people are exactly like you are. Look at their reasoning.

  • People take it on Legion so they can maybe get more than 1 kill a game in coordinated games. Getting kills as them takes a long time, but is unavoidable. So, you'll eventually catch the survivor, then maybe get another kill or two off NOED

    Why?

Well we have a perk that allows us to throw a pebble so why not this. It could be used to lose a killer mid chase when he loses LOS for a moment and you lie into tall grass and he may lose you thanks to that.

    Fair enough.

  • The issue with Legion isn't the Deep Wounds unless you moonwalk. It's mostly that he's so bad that he has to tunnel in order to kill someone, and his ability to vault allows him to do this brainlessly. If they turn him back into a 2 hit killer and rework him so he can't vault, then he'll be better. The whole identity is just flawed in general.

Well from my perspective you were being just as rude. The Legion is a DLC killer, people had to either pay money or spend a fair amount of time grinding to unlock the Legion. The fact that you think it's perfectly acceptable to deny a customer their right to at least partially enjoy the entertainment they paid for simply due to personal bias is just distasteful in my eyes.

The constant barrage of "DC if it's Legion" is unacceptable as it messes with player rank distribution while also skewing Legion match results. I don't expect folks to play a full game with a killer they dislike. Feel free to suicide on the first hook. Doing so will prevent you from gaining a double de-pip and it will also give your team some help by buying them some time however small. However, to suggest that people who bought a product have no right to do so because you don't like it is ridiculous.

I...never said that they shouldn't be able to enjoy the content they paid for. Even if I did, that's not really rude, it's literally just an opinion. What you did was definitely rude if you really want to talk about that.
What I said was that the gameplay is unhealthy and boring, therefore if someone DCs, I can't blame them. It's boring to the point where I think the Legion player deserves to have a boring game as well.

That mentality must get you far in life eh?

That would imply I use the same mindset for...pretty much everything in my life. I don't. Just for overpowered or blatantly unhealthy aspects of a game. DS deserves to get tunneled, Peacekeepers in Apex get executed immediately, etc.

Eh, still, killers are people to. And from what you stated 'DS deserves to get tunneled' you understand this. Games are games, you don't always win and Entity knows that I know this. Legion isn't a bad killer (okay he's not good either), there are just bad players, and unfortunately the overgrown minority is what is remembered.

My point is, if you dc against a killer you are just hurting the community and everyone involved. I say this for lobby dodgers too. I don't dodge lobbies, I try to adapt. You've said you don't dc yourself which is good, but you essentially encourage dcs which is just as bad if not worse.

I have nothing against you personally, just that your comments are what make this community bad when everyone begins to run the same mindset.

    Apologies for the mini essay.

That's fine. That's your opinion. If everyone had my mindset, then nobody would DC since i don't DC, so that isn't really the best example. I personally think people who shittalk and DC due to their own poor skill are what make this community bad, not people tired of playing against a killer they have no way of countering. That's my opinion. Having one doesn't plague the community, it's just pushing what I want to experience in a game I used to enjoy greatly.

  • @Eveline said:
Legions don't deserve to play the game in full? Wow.

Nope. They don't let a survivor play the game either because they just run you down the entire time, so sue me for having an opinion like this.

DCing for the hatch is pretty crappy too honestly. I don't DC pretty much at all, but Legions don't deserve to play the game in full, so I can live with people DCing against them.

  • If it's a Legion I won't ever blame them. If it's anyone else then okay, yeah.

  • Legion is unfun to play against. I don't personally DC, but I can't blame people for DCing either. He's not OP, but the fact that he tunnels you with no counterplay is beyond frustrating. No point of complaining about it, just take your free win when they DC lol

  • If they increased perk and killer diversity this wouldn't be much of a problem. Nerfing overly strong killers and perks while buffing irrelevant ones would probably make people choose a wider variety of them. Rank 1 is just Nurse, Billy, Legion, NOED, DS. Same crap over and over.

In what colour? Blonde, brown, maybe red?

Blue is the best option obviously. Always blue

  • It's what balances survivor out from killer. If your team potatoes, you're weaker as a whole, but if you're coordinated, you're stronger. It just happens.

  • I take offense to this

The same could be said about Claudettes. Either they're farmers or urban evaders who self care nearby well into your second stage and then finally go for you.

I've met more crappy Clauds than Jakes personally, so I agree with this. Then again, like 40% of people play Claud so the sample size is much bigger

I feel, with nurse, you want to be able to find the survivors a lot...

With Nurse you can run whatever you want and still win because you're Nurse XD

Not really, I've beaten Nurses multiple times just by running into them when they tp ot just playing mind games on them (dropping a pallet, waiting for them to fade then jumping over it - works like a charm)...

Probably haven't played against a good one then. Rank 1 Nurses don't fall for that stuff easily :P

Because if the legion is good, he slow the game down Not just a lil bit. Mending and self healing slend a lot of time

Legion could be called OP because demotivates survs to the point of DC

but in reality is just unfun and annoying, I pray for not playing against them

He's not OP, and he's bad to the point where he has to tunnel with no counterplay to actually do much of anything. Little skill expression for either side playing as or against him leads to frustrating gameplay that no one wants to really partake in

  • DWM + QnQ is useful against pretty much any killer in some way, Distortion is really only useful against killers running BBQ. Most killers run BBQ though. Up to you which suits you better really.

  • Sprint Burst is better since it greatly increases the distance between you and the killer initially and can be the deciding factor on whether or not you get to a pallet. Dead Hard is mostly used to prolong loops by dashing into a pallet that the killer is forced to lunge to reach you. Otherwise it's fairly easy to bait out Dead Hard and make it completely useless. SB is reliable unless you potato, so I'd say it's better

  • Eh. See I want to like it, but it would make Enduring + Spirit Fury almost completely useless

  • Could do it like LoL. Leaving a game makes you wait 5 minutes before queueing up again, and that amount only grows as you leave more games

  • There are counters to the hatch that you just suggested. Slugging the last survivor and denying them is just like cleansing all the totems as survivor to deny NOED. Survivors don't want to have to waste their time cleansing totems for a perk the killer may not even have, and killers don't want to have to slug to deny the hatch for a survivor who may not even know where it is.

Also the hatch has prerequisites that is up to the survivors to fulfill, although small, while NOED has no requirements and is up to the survivors to prevent. Comparing these two just makes no sense. They both have reasonable counters that just boils down to your skill as a survivor or killer

  • I don't like getting pity hatches personally, so I don't really care enough about wiggling at the end

  • Those are all tracking perks. I dunno if you need 4 of them, but by all means go right on ahead if you feel the need. Probably not the most efficient way to use your perk slots

  • No, DH is already good in the right hands and can easily prolong loops. No buffs needed

Yeah I already read over it, and I think it's a really good buff to the perk. It's one that really needs it since the only purpose it serves is rarely seen in higher ranks

  • Nah it's fine as it is. Helps in chases. Doesn't need to be a generator stopper as well

  • @P3ToxicLaurie said:
First of all, killer is already very overpowered. Removing the hatch would make killer even more unbalanced. Sure, the idea to close it was good, but thats basically a game over for survivor. Unless, they can clutch (assuming) three gens. Also, this is targeted toward specific killers who think theyre gods at the game but complain about hatch. If youre so good at the game, you should be able to track down the hatch, and grab the survivor. Perks like insidious would help. Also, you could just kill the survivors before the gens are done (its not that hard) plus, i dont think that you would want to wait around for an immersed survivor whose probably sitting in a locker, waiting for you to DC. If you really think that hatch is a free win for survivors youre wrong. Im sorry but you are.

I agree, it isn't a free win, and I also agree that it should be in the game because your teammate's performance is out of your control as a survivor. I disagree that killer is overpowered however. A few select killers are objectively overpowered, such as Nurse and Billy, and a few are really frustrating to play against because you have no control over your own survival, such as Legion and Spirit. But the overall state of killer is actually pretty balanced, despite what people say on these forums.

Infinites are patched and it is basically impossible to infinite. Killer will get bloodlust and get you. Killer is so easy, and i can easily counter infinites. (im a trash killer)

There aren't any infinites, but there are some problematic structures that are braindead easy to loop that force you off a chase so you don't waste any time. The house of pain in Haddonfield and Preschool, for example, is basically impossible to mindgame and you easily lose bloodlust due to the line of sight loss. Essentially you are forced to leave a chase once a survivor goes here, which is bad for reasons I shouldn't have to explain.

I know my infinite point wasnt as in depth as my hatch breakdown. But the overall lesson is that killers need to stsrt getting used to not winning and grow a pair. ( y e e h a w ) 🤠

Survivors are about as salty as killers are. They just aren't nearly as vocal on here as killers for some reason.

  • The only really good survivor obsession perk is DS, and it's broken. Killers have some good options when it comes to this perk too (Rancor, STBFL, Remember Me), but half the time it isn't worth the perk slot because there are usually better options.
It's balanced IMO, but some of the perks could use some adjusting, mostly one in particular. The mechanic is fine otherwise.

  • The game's design just fundamentally makes people get angry with each other. Killer is supposed to be this unstoppable force that survivors are supposed to avoid, and it's hard to avoid the killer when you're new. This can lead to frustration, i.e. calling you a camper and being a general dick to you.

People in general are just salty in this game, i wouldn't take it to heart. At this point I gave up trying to say anything in post-game chat because of it

  • I don't think it needs extra vaulting speed, but I think it should be able to be activated when not in a chase.
