@Shad03 Oh, I have no doubt...that's why I acknowledged I'm only rank 20. I was just surprised how much fun it was rather than being stressed out when I can't find any survivors my first minute as killer....Nice change of pace is all.
*** Actually, I re-read my earlier post and I never said it was easy. I said it was less stressful than killer. Big difference.
-
@brokedownpalace Of course! DC-ing is the online equivalent of taking your ball and going home when you aren't playing well or having fun. I've had embarassing games as killer where I contemplate focusing on Civilization V for awhile, but I stick it out because it's the only way to get better.

3 protection hits would only encourage mor body blocking than we already have. You hate MoM now, you'll beg for it back after the new meta becomes 4 swf MoM, DH, Adren with instant heals and overall body blocking builds so you are forced to run 2 perk counters. This will also neutralize M2 advantage over MoM.
Want to make MoM better without causing such insanity? Once you have been downed by an instant down attack, you become immune to the next one. Only effects the more powerful attacks, and only after suffering a hit from it. No three hit downs, just a simple one hit immunity to an instant down.
I'll just run Mad Grit and let them bodyblock all they want.
-
That really is the most frustrating part of learning nurse.....watching survivors avoid your hits when you know you would hit them with your main killer. Im still not much of a nurse player. When im feeling masochistic, i break her out and practice my blinks....lol
-
Bbq, nurses, ruin, and franklins have never steered me wrong. Occasionally i will swap out franklins for haunted ground or surveillance, but you would be surprised how much time is spent away from the gens when survivors are searching for items you made them drop.....

The rework will kill him
Thats why ive been playing him more now. I have a fear that he wont be worth a damn after the rework.

Oh god yes. One of my favorite perks on any killer.

Lol barely play spirit but heard stridor is god tier on her
Stridor throws off my distance estimations when im phasing. Due to the increased volume, i always think survivors are closer than they actually are. I use ruin, bbq, nurses, and franklins and make out quite well.

It’s pretty much a given the killer will find it first. You have not only to be careful you are not spotted, you have to find the hatch and all of that on a timer. If you happen to find it and it’s already closed, now you have to go from one gate to the other (if you havent been seen yet) with the little time you have left to try to open a gate for 15 seconds which can easily be camped and watched from the distance by any killer. Let’s not even mention Billy or Nurse.
It gives the killer an unreasonably high upper hand. While punishing solos.
Its far from a given that the killer finds the hatch first. I cant count the number of times ive had one survivor camp the hatch while the hooked survivor kills themself to force the hatch to open. Ive also had plenty of games where the hatch spawns at the opposite end of the map from me, presumably where the survivors are attempting to hide from me. The ability for a killer to close the hatch and add pressure to the match was long overdue.

for "ultimate jumpscare" i recommend you using Coxcombed Clapper + The Ghost (brown add on). they dont hear the bell and also cant hear the terror radius for 6 seconds after uncloaking. do that behind a corner and dash towards them, they will ######### their pants xD
I usually get one or two surprises before they disconnect. Love running that combo, but i hate feeling like its wasted when everyone DCs to avoid it.
-
100% too strong. I track by sound and movement of corn/grass. I dont focus on the scratch marks too often, especially since a lot of survivors double back during a chase. Going through any obstacle would make her way too OP.

Played Freddy, got a 4k on mid ranks, then i got a: "you know you´re bad, when you have to use Freddy to win"
I got the same thing after a 3k match as freddy. I was like "yeah, i use a low tier killer to win because im so bad...lol"

At least it wasn't directly facing a gen?
Those are my favorites...when i look for the outline of my totem and see it at the other end of the map, right next to the outline of a gen.
-
The ability to close the hatch was long overdue. There should be a reward for the killer when he or she finds the hatch before the survivor. Otherwise, all you have is a hatch standoff or the killer conceding the hatch to the survivor to end the game faster.
-
As a killer main, i don't see why MoM is such a big deal. Yes, i hate losing a chance to down a survivor when it activates, but i can see their aura for the remainder of the game after they heal! Its like getting a free tracking perk! The trick is to hit the survivor enough times to activate MoM early, then break chase and let them go and heal. If you wait too long to use up MoM, it has a nasty habit of appearing in the endgame and you dont get the advantage of seeing their aura.
-
Its amazing how close you can get to survivors beforr they notice you. I use M&A on many of my builds.
-
@Salty_Pearl Heck yeah its awesome! I tried it for the first time yesterday and was literally like "whoa" :)
-
We arent. I put a team of them in the ground yesterday. Just have to check the corners a little closer when you pass them. :)

The fact that this is even a topic, and 3 people upvoted it concerns me.
Either people are completely delusional about wanting any semblance of balance or they are smoking some real good #########.
More importantly, where can one find that good smoke? :)

The only reason I quick swap really is because of trolling— in my case. A friend group and I became the “tribe of megs” and crouched around the map in a line. While it was deliberate throwing, it gave me a good laugh.
I almost never really, try hard per se; using that method. If I do, I usually would just wear bright ass clothes and other stuff.
OMG! I would have loved to see the tribe of megs crouching along in a straight line. I probably would have joined the tribe as a killer!! :)

Why because you are not very good at the game and are one of these main killers that need the devs to program the game just so ######### players can win. you should have to win because your good not because the game is tinkered into being very unbalanced? Just like I said if my 5 year old who is not the brightest can kill everyone with lvl 1 killers no perks in 5 minutes and you think the game is fair? lmao
I would question the parenting skills of anyone who thinks this game is appropriate for a 5 year old....Guess Minecraft was too complicated for you.

I remember watching Space Coconut and he said something about how when traps get triggered, the camera of the survivor gets shifted to the trap, screwing with movement. Saw him use it too. You put it on the ground near the loop instead of in it and when the survivor triggers it, they run for a second or two in the open, making them an easy hit.
Oh, i like that idea! Might have to put those addons in the rotation and give it a try!
-
Theres 4 survivors and 1 killer. The survivors already have a numerical advantage. God forbid we give the killer something to offset that.
-
Thanks to the event, i fell in love with the Hag again. Dumped a whole bunch of BPs into her and had a great time playing her. Didn't hurt when i was getting 140k in a single game either....
-
@legion_mainI dont mind Mettle of Man, as a killer main. Yes, it can be annoying and extends my chases sometimes, but i do love being able to track their auras after they heal. I was making the mistake of not hitting survivors with MoM because i didnt want to activate it, which turned out to be costly in the late game. Now, i try and activate MoM early in the match and enjoy the benefits of tracking them after they use MoM and heal.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Agree 100%. Not to mention, survivors also count on that 7 second delay when they rescue teammates and run to the gates. I imagine its quite a surprise when they expect to take one hit and find themselves in the dying state and back on a hook.
-
SWF OP? Haha...tell that to NOED Freddy...lol. Oh, the racial slurs that were cast on me in the post-game chat that day were epic!
-
I save prayer beads for those matches when I recognize toxic survivors from prior games in my lobby. Otherwise, i tend to do a lot more short phases just to catch up with looping survivors.
-
@AsheruSwiftwind You totally summed up a bunch of my games. Ive had the N-word dropped on me so many times in post game chat, i almost kind of expect it now. I am to the point where i dont say anything at the end of the game, even GG, bc it just eggs them on.

@Caretaker said:
*starts match* *gen pops in about 20s with me walking straight towards it* Nah, this is fine. I totally had a chance to play the game. I'll try to see if I have the video, cuz I honestly wanna time it. 3 survivors spawned on a gen with PT, and I think 2 had lunchboxes.
For extra context I was tier 1 Michael, so used some time to stalk and try to locate people as I went to patrol the gen.
@Caretaker i HATE when that happens. Ive walked straight to the generator without delay at the beginning of the match and it literally pops right in front of me. Kind of sets the whole pace for the remainder of that match.
-
@Sleephartha If you know the game is bugged or you dont like the fact that people have a different playstyle than you enjoy using, the answer is simple....find a different game to play that is up to your standards. Why ruin everyone else's experience by DC-ing? If you rage quit, you're a baby.
-
@rha I agree 100%. Its rare that i ever have RBTs available at the endgame. I use them during the game to slow down the generator progress. I also know where the survivors are going at that point, as they are scrambling to get the traps off. I dont think the new changes affect my playstyle at all
-
You are 100% correct. I used to only run him when i had a daily ritual and never invested any BPs into him. As you can imagine, those matches were significantly harder...lol
-
Agreed....although i mainly use the green ones (block and painting) and make out pretty well.
-
@plu thats why ive been playing more freddy games lately. If the devs make him unplayable after the rework, i want to enjoy him now.
-
@RoKrueger they wouldnt dare make any comments in the end game chat for that game. No tunneling, no camping, etc....It was three babies who rage quit and ruined the game for me and the only survivor who remained.

While i understand ur issue you have with this, im questining what u are doing next to a hook? I almost never find myself in such a situtation and therefore i had not dealed with this so far.
If i see someone making their way towards a hooked survivor, i am definitely pursuing them. Its simple tactics, as i now have a chance to down two people. Thats not the same as camping.
-
Could be worse...lol...ive prestiged my Spirit once and brought her back up to level 50 without ever seeing BBQ in my bloodweb....
-
Dont sweat it. We all go thru those slumps. Theres times when i have to take a short break just to get my mind right. Those slumps always pass and i seem to play better than i did before.
-
How can you call him a "deranker" when you also say you were a rank 14 survivor because you "were playing survivor for the first time in 5 months?" Im pretty sure you "deranked" as a survivor as the 13th of each month you werent playing passed by.
As someone who was also "at least rank 5 before," (which i assume you gathered from the fact that the killer probably earned that achievement on his profile), it is now significantly more difficult for killers to rank up after they adjusted the pipping criteria.
-
@CashelP14 said:
The reason for an anti-tunnel perk is because the killer tunnels. 60 seconds is long but can be countered by slugging.
I love the new ds, tunneling and camping has been a problem in dbd for so long and finally there is a perk that helps the survivor in this situation.
Like you said, that can be countered by slugging. When a survivor makes the selfish decision to unhook a teammate before I've even had a chance to leave, i feel bad putting them right back on the hook. I'll slug them and go after the selfish one.
-
Ive had it unlocked for awhile now, but it still doesnt want to appear in the bloodwebs that I really need it....sigh
-
I dont. Bores me as much as the person on the hook. Nuff said.
-
Keep the perks as they are. Part of the fun of the game is having to choose only four perks that work for your play style.
-
I think the drawings alone were worth reading the post! :)

@Carpemortum said:
So you're saying....you believe that the hatch alone cost you an entire pip?
SURELY there were other parts of the game where those pips could have been made up. Seeing as you can, ya know, double pip, theres a lotta room.
Gens in first 9 mins is a big thing. You said yourself you didnt leave chases to stop gens. What did ya expect?
Exactly. I had a solid survivor team tear through the gens very quickly in one game (two new parts) and i ended up with a safety pip, even with a 4k. Sometimes you just have to shrug it off and take your black pip. There's only so much you can do.
