yeah i was glad two people made it out. Since the last time i face a bubba that was face camping. The team was smart until they try to save me at the end. Which just lead to a 4k for the bubba. Thankfully this time, people escaped and deny the bubba as many blood points as possible.

We had a similar scenario yesterday. Basement Bubba with insidious (and third seal?!) hooked someone in the basement as the end of the game. We ran out which was smart and made him depip. Everyone needs to understand what to do in this scenario:

    • Hooked Survivor: Don't attempt escape and struggle.
    • Other Survivors: RUSH GENS!

Also I like to punish all facecamping Bubba's since they are playing him wrong. If you need to facecamp as him then you don't deserve to wear his mask..

  • A rapid fire AK47u (old cod reference) would put less holes in this than their already is lol

Here is a team that played smart vs a face camping bubba. They focus on the gens. even with noed, the killer only got 2k and only 11k points. While the survivors who escaped and were not bubba victims, got far more.

This was playing smart. He will depip as long as he only got those two hooks.

Trying to save takes good coordination but if you don't play it right then that's your fault. Just rush the gens (especially against incorrectly played Bubba) and you'll force them to depip.

The thing is she's S tier only in terms of 'winning.' If you want to actually have fun nurse is one of the worst killers in the game. Every action requires waiting, be it for charges or fatigue. With the dedicated servers muscle memory can ######### you over by reverting a 100% charged blink to an uncharged one.

There are multiple bugs that can completely ######### your game, whether it be removing a lunge from a blink (giving the enemy a literal free dead hard), blinking without moving (oh yay more waiting), or even just losing 1 of your blinks permanently.

What made old nurse absolutely stupid to play against was all the broken add-ons, which combined made her too forgiving. Now while she's less forgiving, she's also just pretty ######### to play, even if you're good at her.

Imo her current add-ons are 'bad' enough that all she would gain from reverting the charge based power would be a smoother playstyle. Fix her bugs and revert that change and she'll be in a good place.

(If someone plays bloody nurse of all killers long enough to be able to curbstomp then they kinda deserve it)

Fun factor is a completely different tier list. I find Legion fun but I wouldn't put him in A tier lol

She definitely needs her bugs fixed. I unfortunately don't play nurse enough to understand all these bugs. Her add-ons aren't great also which is something I'd fix.

If you're talking about nemesis & pwyf they definitely improve him a lot but I wouldn't rate any killer highly if they rely on one perk or one perk combo.

If your ranking killers without perks then he is pretty low. However killers like Pig and Plague would probably be higher.

If your ranking them with perks and considering they are played well then he is definitely nowhere near the bottom.

No offence but Bubba is not even remotely strong (especially vanilla Bubba).

I've probably put more time in him than... Well... Anyone else? (as I have almost exclusively played him since his release).

Yet I accept and understand that he's a bad killer despite the fact I've consistently gotten 1-2 minute 4ks with him even on red ranks and even against red rank SWF teams who were recognized by another forum user.

If a killer's power completely relies on the mistakes of survivors said killer can never be considered strong.

Luckily most survivors on red ranks play just likr yellow rank survivors these days so even Bubba can feel like a decent killet most of the time.

I wouldn't say he relies on the mistakes of survivors. He relies heavily on two perks definitely.

I'm very aware of bad red rank players. I will openly say when talking about a win if I thought the team was strong. That's why I always say that "not every single swf team are good. 90% of swf teams are not great". However I can admit there were games where I know I would've lost if I was playing Freddy, Oni, Doctor or other killers. Though I was playing Bubba and it's why I won.

Oni is an example of a killer who relies on survivors mistakes, yet he is considered A tier.

If you actually think that you should make that a full discussion thread. I'd love to read a thread that can somehow explain how Leatherface is A tier.

I was actually going to do a Gameplay Guide for Bubba for the contest. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to or not but I'm going to create it anyway. I'll even show screenshots to show how I've done with him.

  • You know your playing leatherface wrong? He is an A tier killer

  • Don't like reposting but I never got an answer to my question.

  • On a serious note I need to ask something.

Why did every single youtuber I watch talk about the chapter get confused about that perk? The second they said it I immediately thought "oh look a counter to pop" lol

  • @Poweas said:

Tyde really doesn't know much when it comes to killers. He considers Hag to be D tier, even if the tierlist was on pipping, Hag is still one of the best killers for that. But Nurse is definitely the best killer still, I'd just fix her bugs and see how it goes.

Yea I'd agree with that. Tydes list was definitely a strange one lol

  • There's actually quite a few. I don't know a few of these sorry but I just wanted to type in dbd killer tier list on youtube and see what they say.

    Rowby: S tier

    Dowsey: S tier

Jaee: A+ (spirit and freddy are also here)

Jamishio: A tier (Myers SS, Hag S, Pig S)

    The King: S tier

TydeTyme: S tier (tbh this tier list looked weird lol) This one was 4 months old.

These are just the first set I saw. Sorry if this looks rude I'm just showing what they are saying. I don't watch anyone here and I don't think any youtuber I watch has done one within the last 6 months.

I never play her myself (other than a meme build yesterday which was a 4k) but I just don't think it would be received well if arguably the best killer in the game got a buff.

  • So shall we buff the best killer in the game? The killer is regarded as a S tier killer.

I have no opinions on this. Just wanted to say this lol

How fun is Nemesis + PWYF on him? Since I'm waiting on PWYF to come on shrine, and really wanna try it out.

A lot of fun. Genuinely he is a really strong killer when you run that build on him. Also the amount of survivors who expect you to respect a pallet is extremely funny.

I'm not lying when I say over the last 20 games where I've played Bubba I've either got 3k (hatch) or 4k. There was 1 game which this thread is based off where I played terrible but that was down to me and not the build.

i do agree swf is more fun but i only do duo as the more in a swf it ends up getting too easy. i must admit i dont play the game as much as i use to, i always use to play solo and swap between killer and survivor but i dont tend to play killer much now as i always spin the wheel to which killer i play and some games you have to accept you lost due to the killer, map or just the team you went against which seems kinda silly tbh. i dunno i play games for fun and survivor is easier to do that on as if youre good you can show it but on killer skill doesnt all much matter anymore just depends if people do gens. like i havent seen a wraith, demo, hag, nurse etc. in months and thats what reduces the fun, the lack of killers you see but im not surprised by it either. i dunno if i could handle game chat on DBD, be way too much toxic behavior and screaming lol

Well demo is the killer I'm playing a lot recently so I'm trying to help you out lol I got 4 pigs in a row last night also (3 had double very rare add-ons).

I play this everyday, whether that be 1 hour or 2. I know for certain I wouldn't be playing now if I didn't get chatting to people. The chill experience is something I relate to only call of duty zombies. You just chill, chat and play which is what I like.

i wouldnt say the game is boring, like i guess swf can make it more interesting because you can mess about with your friends etc. but solo is still fun, you just get ranks 1/2 that have no idea how to play lol. but rank means nothing anymore...

It is for a while but you won't last just playing solo in my opinion. I play killer when I'm solo and swf the other times. It is fun builds but even just general chat is pretty good.

  • You won't last too long playing survivor not in a swf. This isn't me saying your not good enough to last in rank 1 without swf, it's actually me saying the game would be too boring.

I love to talk so playing in a swf is how I do that since their isn't an in-game voice chat.

There is a lot of this that is just plain wrong. The pallet one in particular is completely wrong.

  • This breaks my heart. Bubba's perks should never look so disgusting.

  • Ruin "nerf". Genuinely relied on it too much and I felt without it I was going to lose. Now I can see how easy it is to 4k when you play smart. Also new ruin is actually a lot of fun.

I'd say for survivor my favourite it was probably the DS change. Wasn't a free use anymore and I actually felt like I discouraged tunneling. Whether you like it or not DS has had a positive impact on the game in terms of discouraging tunneling.

Please don't send an essay on DS being broken. I'm hungover and really can't be bothered lol

If you use your Chainsaw while not in Chase, you dont get any BPs for this. Billy gets BPs for his Chainsaw Sprint.

But even IF there would be a Score Event for Bubba, who wants to do that?

Pretty much to farm at the end when you've won the game I'd say. Otherwise it would only give face campers more points so I'm against this.

What has DBD come to though? People who don’t tear each other apart? That is unheard of! XD

I was getting ready for a mortal kombat style battle lol darn this community isn't as toxic as it was perceived to be 😂

I guess I can see your point with Ormond tbh, highly doubt the devs will leave it as is. The Yamaoka one I definitely agree with btw, I used to be an XBOX player myself. I still see Dead Dawg as the worst rn though, but hey, we have different opinions! :)

    @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1332769#Comment_1332769

I personally hate Yamaoka because it’s super dark on console and you can’t change the settings, it’s a stealth players paradise. It’s still not great balance wise but it’s not THE worst.

Unpopular opinion but I believe Springwood is worse than Haddonfield. The school is an awful building for most killers and the map can also spawn fences that are longer than the Great Wall of China. Now that Balanced Landing got nerfed a while ago, Springwood is far worse. Haddonfield isn’t even that bad with it’s pallets, it’s mainly the buildings.

Mother’s Dwelling isn’t bad based on what tiles can spawn but it’s the size of Saturn. That map needs to be shrunk like the Temple and it’ll be fine.

Ormond is the worst IMO. It is nothing but one giant pallet loop with a strong central structure. The map is huge, has nothing but safe pallets, AND a strong central building. I also HATE those long wall loops that spawn on Ormond, Red Forest, and Yamaoka.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Saloon is a great map but it’s still relatively new so I’m doubtful it’s a high priority map change when they have maps like Ormond and the main building of Disturbed Ward that has existed for far too long. Especially because it implements the new breakable wall mechanic and doesn’t have any loops that are problematic. Most are unsafe.

You guys share different opinions and aren't tearing each other apart?! Disgusting lol I thought this was Dead By Daylight!

  • No this has been suggested a good few times before and it's not the answer.

Also I disagree with your statement about solo survivor vs killer being balanced.

    Solo Survivor < Average Killer

    Bad/Average Swf = Good Killer

    Good Swf > Good Killer

Thats the way I see it right now. This doesn't work for every single match but just it's what I'm seeing right now.

  • Ok np. Only some people complain about perks, not the whole dbd community and not me.

  • Who is "you guys" lol please explain

    As survivor:

    1. Lery's... Love the aesthetics... But when RNG decides your fate with pallet and window spawns is not great... I can't memorize the entire map. Also the middle of the map is super loud, can barely hear a killer's terror radius.
    2. S W A M P - I'd take 20 maps with Meat Packing Plant than play on swamp. I 80% of the time do terrible on this map.
    3. Hawkins Lab is definitely there, I don't mind the map, I mind the pallet spots and the teammates that I get.
    4. Shelter Woods - The one variant, I absolutely despise. Middle is absolutely empty, a few RNG pallet spawns. Absolute dead zones, usually there's a generator there... Tend to run out of pallets very fast
    5. Yamaoka Estate - dark, messy, rng spawns, absolute dead zones, Temple of wrath crossing from one part to another can be a death sentence.
    6. Dead Dawg Saloon - MOST of the times I play this map, I end up in a 3-gen situation and that drags the game way... way too long.

    As Killer:

    1. Ormond
    2. Any corn map really.
    3. Dead Dawg Saloon - Hate those damn loops, and bushes...

There's a lot there lol I agree with shelter woods in particular and I also hate swamp as survivor and killer.

Saloon isn't necessarily hard it's just really boring. It's genrush and hope the killer can't handle it, or get genrushed and have to sweat for the 4k.

No looping or interaction in it because of how unsafe the damn pallets are. That map SUCKS and is even more worse designed than Hawkins.

Yea I hate the tiles on that map. As survivor and killer I find them extremely confusing and hard to understand.

Yea it definitely is a gen rush map. Its definitely a map I don't want to get as killer.

    • What is the killers rank usually?

    • What are the biggest Mistakes the killers do that play against you?
    • What are your most common mistakes that could cost you games?

Im really interested in wht you guys will say :)

Now this is a fun post. I usually play 3 man swf atm.

    1. Rank 1 (both sides)
    2. Inner Strength, DS, Spine Chill and Dead Hard (maybe WGLF).
    3. We escape a lot. Mainly because we are very good loopers and all are at least Devotion 8. We sometimes don't even play comms for a few games.
    4. Not in particular. I've faced pretty much every killer 100 times by now.
    5. Yea. I feel sorry for them so sometimes I'd give them a free hook (or we gave a killer a 4k by endgame collapse a few weeks ago).
    6. Depends on the day. Lots of Rank 1s recently with the occasional rank 10 or above.
    7. I don't play toxic unless provoked. I try to imagine how I'd feel in their shoes tbh.
    8. Not forcing a 3 gen probably. Running their builds wrong is another one.
    9. Memeing probably. I run silly builds just since running meta builds is boring.

Good questions mate. Really interesting and I'm looking forward to the rest of the answers.

  • @MusicNerd_TC said:

Haddonfield is the worst map in the game and I stand by that. The fences are very annoying, the hooks are very far apart, the windows are pretty overpowered as well, on top of that, the map is pretty big. The only redeeming quality about the map is sometimes the gates spawn close together.

    @CosmicParagon said:

Definitely Haddonfield, with Badham being a close second. I ######### HATE fences

Do you both dislike the map or always get unlucky with it? I mean do you have any superstitions about a map? Such as me saying I always struggle on badham one for someone reason.

I don't mind the layout of the map or anything but I always just feel like I play bad on it.

Easily the new Lery's Memorial Institute. I had no problems surviving old Lery's. I have no problems on Hawkins or the Game. But this map just ticks me off to no end. I survive maybe 1/20 games on Lery's, and I know everytime I play on this map its gonna be a Depip and I'm not gonna have fun. Sometimes I DC outright the moment I get it and alot of times my friends gotta convince from doing so otherwise. If I'm gonna depip regardless on this horrible map its gonna be on my terms rather than waste time on a bad match. Keep in mind, I'm Rank 1 every season and Have 2,000+ hours and I still hate this map with a fiery passion.

I will say I disagree with the DC'ing but yea that map is extremely tough as survivor. This map and shelter woods are the two maps I see as the toughest as survivor in the whole game honestly. You can either get really lucky with spawns or not.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

I actually find the new version more confusing as survivor since the size was adjusted.

  • @ZerLukas said:

Hawkins lab if to pick one. I just get unlucky way too often on that map as both killer and survivor.

As a survivor I generally don't like closed building maps as it sometimes is hard to find gens and often hard to find totems.

As a killer I'm also not a big fan of a of Swamp maps and Disturbed Ward.

I notice the amount of times on that map I want to go to a gen or hook and the doors are shut it's extremely annoying. It literally feels like the game is shuting them just before I reach the area lol

I mean, of course I can't base anything just from 5 games (Think about how many I would've played to reach Rank 3 lol) but the point was that certain killers (usually more meta and stronger ones) are more dominant in higher ranks than lower ones.

Probably cuz you need to pay for most of them, but still that shows that the frequency is very blatant that some killers are downright weak.

"3 Spirits, 1 Freddy, 2 Huntresses, Doctor, Bubba, Wraith, Pig (who wanted to farm the whole game), Deathslinger and Ghostface."

Yes, from the ones you versed most of them are decent and meta killers except for Bubba and DS who I argue to be less powerful. That's a similar percentage of my 5 games which also had 1 weakish killer.

So all in all, the killers who are popular right now are quite dominating in the pick scene.

BUBBA IS BETTER THAN MOST OF THOSE!!! Bubba is extremely upset with your treatment of his quality. He would like an apology.

Yes at red ranks people do run stronger killers since they feel like they have to. Killers like clown and Legion are seen as too weak to beat any good red rank team.

Recently I've been playing as Bubba, Demo and Legion and have been getting 4k (3k with hatch) pretty much every game.

  • It's necessary against good teams and to counter perks like ds. Bring unbreakable if it bothers you that much.

  • Can't base it off only 5 games worth of stats. Yesterday I faced 3 Spirits, 1 Freddy, 2 Huntresses, Doctor, Bubba, Wraith, Pig (who wanted to farm the whole game), Deathslinger and Ghostface.

The day before we faced no spirits and no Ghostface. We played for about 4 hours both days and at rank 1. Some days certain killers are more popular than others.

  • Deathslinger. I blame it on the fact they didn't tease us every well and were too late with the trailer. The ptb came out and it was like "oh, it's a gun killer". If the trailer was released before the ptb it would've helped so much to build up hype for the chapter.

Demo was up there till recently. Been running STBFL on him and it's been a lot of fun.
