  • Inner strength is an amazing perk. I'd also say run spine chill to help you if your staying injured against stealth killers.

  • Unless they did something cool with it I don't think having 5 perk slots would be good.

Maybe have a 5th slot that can only have a few perks used in it. I remember thinking this slot could be for hex totems but knew it was impossible to balance.

I think there’s an extra week before the last level right? So it would come out the same week as Silent hill. Didn’t a mod announce June 17th for level 4? And June 16 for silent hill

I thought it was out next week but I could be wrong. You need to reach the end of the level 3 to unlock level 4 path.

  • Well done 👍 finished mine a few days ago and I'm now just waiting for the next level. I'm actually thinking I won't collect my rewards after the chapter is released.

For the legion one I found someone right away and followed them around never hitting. My plan was to wait until they were all together, obviously they figured out I wasn’t trying so after all the gens powered they pointed at hooks so i frenzied them all and actually ended up hooking them all so they could earn altruism points. Win win

That was lovely of them, nice to see survivors do nice things. You need to compelte the rift in order to unlock the next level which will be out a week before the next chapter.

  • I'd probably bring a mori, no need to waste good add-ons.

In terms of the add-ons they can be good but they don't break the game. Keys can give free escapes that the killer can't counter if the key is still in the game. Pink and purple add-ons can be good but are counterable. Yesterday I faced a iridescent head huntress (with noed). She got 2 hooks the whole game. We even had an urban claudette in our team so we weren't in the best position.

Keys end the game prematurely. Good add-ons make the game tougher, but not too difficult the survivors can't beat the killer.

  • I run thana on Legion for a good while but recently took it out since I felt it wasn't good enough. If you run self care then your the reason that Legion is strong with thana.

If you can work on a generator while injured then thana Legion isn't that strong at all.

  • Self care and urban are the obvious choices. As killer it's also noed except for killers like clown.

  • This would make Ghostface S++ tier so no. The example of working on the gen they have been doing this for so long that it doesn't take much concentration after making 1000 hours of doing it.

This would increase the divide between swf and solo players even more and make spine chill a must in every single game.

Sorry but I do my best to see both sides of any argument but I can't see any reason to justify this change. It just sounds like the most killer main thing I've ever heard. You may play the game 50/50 but this is not something that anyone who plays the game 50/50 can actually agree with.

  • Instaheals were nerfed I think 7+ months ago. I don't know how in all this time since that nerf you haven't learned to live without them. If you said this just after they were nerfed I'd assume your new to the game but 7 months later it's hard to understand sorry.

They were broken, like moris and keys are. They needed nerfed and the new ones provide a lot of counter play for the killer.

I shouldnt have to..I shouldn't be limited by loadout or map to have a chance at winning..that the worst type of bad design

Well it's annoying for survivors as well. Her traps are hard to see and I don't hate holding L2 to counter a killer. Unless I have a flashlight and I'm in a swf then I really have no counters to her.

  • @immortalls96 said:

You can already crouch over her traps out of chase..but even trapper doesnt have a mid chase insta disarmfrom range...shes got a counter..but as a 110 killer you cant just shut off her chasing power...then she has nothing left

Out of chase yes but inside of chase no. If the camera didn't change the way you were facing it would be nice.

If you see a flashlight team (kinda like seeing a map team against trapper) I'd just change killer or dodge that match.

She needs some sort of counter similar to trapper. The problem is a team with flashlights is too big of a counter.

  • Apologises if you don't get the joke. I always say I hate hag so that's where the joke came from.

True, his power is relatively simple. But it's also nothing special. Slowdown and fake pallets are something other killers could do like Clown and Doc (which btw, imo Clown is rather underrated). The only thing that is special about his power is his ability to teleport, which is strong until you reach the endgame which means you're kinda screwed. Because all gens would've been done by then.

It's just a matter of whether or not the Killer is good at chases because he is truly an M1 Killer.

Very much a m1 killer like clown (who definitely is the worst killer in the game lol).

I don't find him boring to face either, in fact I am sad I don't face him more often, because lately my best and more intense matches has been against Freddy. No other Killer has been consistently terrifying as him to face.

The thing about freddy is you don't need to be a master to play him well and maybe beat a good team. So your more likely to get tougher games from a bad freddy than a bad doctor, oni or Bubba.

To be honest, he suffers the most from "We-can't-think-of-anything-interesting-itus"

He has 4 Add-ons that are worthless in an actual game, that being the Blindness and Hemmoraging add-ons.

He has 3 Add-ons that are very situational, and won't work well especially in high ranks. I'm talking about the Missed Skill-check add-ons.

He has a useless BP Add-ons which is basically just a meme add-on and BHVR adds them in for god knows what reason.

He has 3 Add-ons that basically does the same thing, Dream Pallets, the only difference is that there is now aura reading. Ooooooooh scawwwyyy.

And finally he has one Add-on that prevents him from doing his most common tactic to pressure gens, faking teleports.

So that is a total of 12 Add-ons that no normal Freddy main would take into the game. Can you guess what the other add-ons he will take? Correct! It's the one that slows everyone down if they are asleep and the one that makes his teleportation regenerate faster.

As well as 3 add-ons that gives him a ton of pressure from the start or keep one survivor pressured forever OR make him appear closer than he normally would.

So he has 9 useful add-ons and 12 useless ones. No wonder Freddy doesn't have much variety when it comes to his builds because his add-ons literally restrict him to one playstyle if he wants to be played as optimally as possible.

Yea that's pretty much all true. The dream pallets I'd never use unless I'm using a map offering or I think I'm facing a bad team. Getting hawkins with dream pallets is horrible. You can only place one dream pallet on the whole map before any are destroyed (it's the one below the stairs, near basement spawn).

When I play freddy I'd probably just use the slowdown add-ons because they really are the only useful add-ons for me. The teleporting ones are ok but I don't find them that useful. I usually only teleport if I have pop or I'm using discordance.

I also think the ultra rares are pretty meh. Ones good for tunneling and the other is only good against survivors who will intentionally miss skill checks.

Pill Bottle I like and Class photo has some synergy with Dead Man's Switch. The blindness one is ok but definitely not worth taking over the Pill Bottle or slowdown add-ons.

I'm probably the only person who actually doesn't find him boring to face lol

  • I don't think he needs a nerf. He isn't as op as people would like to think. He isn't S tier and is probably the 5th best killer in the game since imo his add-ons are pretty bad.

  • Legion one is quite easy, you should get it easily if your running double duration.

The hooking one requires playing an extremely amazing, beautiful and powerful killer who beats even the best swf teams. Bubba will be happy to help you lol

Red Line = Claim, Circle = Don't claim

Thank you. I literally just finished my final challenge yesterday.

  • The Game is one of my favourite maps in the game. It's survivor sided when the killer doesn't bring a build for that exact map.

As killer I actually have been really enjoying the temple map. Feels more and more like a killer aided map if played right.

  • Yea it needs reworked. Too big, totems aren't hidden, main building is extremely strong and gens are miles apart. As killer I try to be as fair as possible but on the map I really struggle to.

I'd say it should and shelter woods need to be the next maps touched.

  • @toxik_survivor said:

Dwight escaped by door 1 person died on first hook and me and ace when put through hatch

How did they die first hook?

  • I agree with the fact that most pallets are hidden which can be frustrating. Like you said the loops on the map are extremely strong which is why I personally love this map as both survivor and killer.

As survivor I always look around for pallets immediately to find out where they are. The loops are strong if run correctly.

As killer totems are hidden and creating 3 gens is easy.

Honestly I consider this map survivor favoured but I'd say it's very close to being the most balanced map in the game.

  • You want a way to beat good players and get to rank 1?

I believe I know a certain man who goes by the man Bubba who can help with that.

  • Pet peeve.. probably seeing self care and urban still being used at red ranks.

As killer it's probably how inconsistent PWYF can be and how Bubbas chainsaw can randomly have such a wide hitbox. I wouldn't say these are pet peeves, just stuff that really irritates me.

  • Bubba would like to insist that you all main him. The request has been made by the great Bubba

  • I want to know how the game ended? If the killer was chasing the dwight the whole game then why didn't youse finish the last gens and escape by the door.

So what happened to the other 2 survivors?

  • It shows you the killers aura to warn you after a gen is completed. I've only been killed by it twice and I've been rancor about 20 times (tbh it's probably a lot more than 20 not that I think about it).

Here's info that will teach you how to counter it.

    • It doesn't show the killer exactly which survivor is the obsession. So he has a 1/4 chance of guessing the correct survivor if all 4 are alive.
    • When there's one gen left then you should hide in a locker. The killer won't see you once the gen is popped.

I find the perk exciting. Makes endgame extremely tense and fun for me. I would only use it if I was running a meme build or I had a mori daily.

  • Doom movie. I know it's not a proper doom movie and I know it's not great but I really enjoy it. I can literally put it on anytime and watch it easily. Also quite enjoyed seeing the rock in it.

  • Funny enough I faced these add-ons yesterday and the day before. They are extremely strong. I understand what he's trying to say about how broken the add-ons can be.

Trying to loop was virtually impossible and I'd imagine on maps with shorter tiles it would be pretty dumb. I'm not saying they need to be changed but I find this more annoying to face than instasaw Billy.

  • 1st: Meg

    2nd: Tapp

    3rd: Nancy

    4th: David

    5th: Pig

    6th: Plague

    7th: Bubba ❤

I have every single killer with all the perks but they are mostly P1.

  • Bubba cries reading this. He knows he is better than just a "camping killer" and can destroy teams at red ranks. He would like you to reverse your statement please.

I don't disagree totally, but Selfcare is simply not a bad perk. You can just use it in a bad way.

And when you say "if you are good at looping, you can still survive long enough" you also have to say "if you are bad at looping, you need the heal, otherwise you put your team into trouble with quick hooks. If 16 seconds is a lot of time, then 46 seconds is even more. Giving him time to interrupt you and find a relatively easy down.

All I'm sayingis, Some people need heals, some situations need heals and the standard argument of the wasted time is not a valid argument, because getting heals by others simplytakes the same amount of time. And listed above, that Bond is the better "healing perk" is simply wrong. You need more time to find someone to heal than with Selfcare. Unless you run across the map to heal, which is exactly one of the arguments

The example with Haunted Grounds had nothing to do with healing, we couldn't finish the gen faster. I just used it to show that "downs vs gens" can have a bad effect if you give gens too high value. You can throw your team with easy giveaway hooks.

Answers to your question. I already answered the first one: if they are really sweaty, they have other methods to save each other or they are simply good enough to play a whole game without healing. Second one: Because most people don't use it correctly. If everyone did, then killers would say something different.

I'd say if people can't loop then they shouldn't be at the high ranks. When I imagine a red rank survivor I think of someone who knows how to rush gens, plays smart and can loop. If I have a teammate who is bad at looping and wastes time self caring then I'm definitely not happy with matchmaking lol

I didn't the Bond discussion so I can't say much about that.

Not self-caring doesn't equal getting downed at the gen. That's all about being smart in the moment. If I'm injured and I know I can't complete the gen in time then I'm leaving it. The thing is me staying on the gen injured, before healing gives us more chance of completing it before the killer comes.

Self care isn't useless but definitely isn't good.

  • @Deadeye said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1320587#Comment_1320587

Your three options only work if the killer doesn't approach you. The main counter argument against Selfcare. If you don't face the killer, healing is generally the worst option. If you face him, you have a down. That's why you have to decide if you wanna heal or not, and that depends on your skill. Also, point 3 is the same like point one, only giving the killer 16 seconds less time to interrupt you.

And don't forget about my point regarding the 26 seconds of extra chase you can get, by just running. That gives the other guy 26 seconds on the gen. Plus other survivors that might work on gens as well.

It is not all about gen progress. Being injured can have a lot of side effects. You need to optimize how you use your time, and going down easy in chases is not a win to the team at all. Agreed if you need to finish a gen when Pop is in play. Finish the gen, the healthy one can take a hit, then Selfcare, but again, also healing in general would be a bad idea.

For example: We had once a Pop Clown and wanted to finish a gen to waste the active Pop, after the Clown just hooked someone. The fourth guy cleansed Haunted Grounds right after the hook. My friend said "let's finish it". Clown approached, he got downed, I finished it and got downed after that. 3 downs for one gen, totally not worth it. The slowdown we got from that was way heavier than the Pop could do. Gen speed is not everything, especially when it gets closer to death hook. Once a mate is out of the game, you have a bigger problem than a person healing some times.

The thing is if your good at looping then being injured might not even matter that much. Sure taking an extra hit can be good but you can still waste 2 mins while being injured in a chase. If your worried about the killer coming to you then bring spine chill, gives you all the info you need when it comes to rushing gens.

Also never say "only giving the killer 16 seconds" that's a lot of time lol

26 seconds is good but it isn't worth much if the killer has already kicked a gen that was 75% before that. Especially when you were self caring could've finished that gen.

The example you gave is just silly. You never should've committed to that gen in that scenario. If anything it actually helps what I'm saying. If you healed before working on that gen then you wasted time which gave the killer time to reach it after haunted grounds was cleansed. You could've finished the gen and had plenty of time to leave before the "commit to the gen" scenario came up. You need to be smart with how you use your time.

Here's something anyone who runs self care must think. Why does a sweaty swf team doesn't run it? Also why killers love seeing survivors run it?

  • @Deadeye said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1320346#Comment_1320346

Sweaty SWF don't run it cuz they have other means and loop good enough to play without healing at all. If you count the games, there is quite a lot of Selfcare used in red ranks (beneath the fact that red ranks means nothing).

Did you readmy post? First one in this thread. The time you waste doesn't matter. It is the same amount if you are healed or heal yourself. When asking someone on a gen for a heal, Selfcare would be even better. It is just how the survivor decides to use this perk, what can mess up games, but you don't need specific perks for that to happen

Believe me I know there is a lot of Self Care in red ranks 😂 definitely not what I want to see. It's a bad sign that killers usually see self care as a fifth killer perk lol

Yea I just read it. The thing about it is your using efficiency as your prime point. Imagine if we both are standing next a gen with 0 progress. We have three options:

    1. You Self Care: I get 32 seconds worth of progress then we finish the gen in I'm guessing about 27 seconds (compensating for the slowdown).
    2. I heal you: 16 seconds of nothing then 46 seconds of generator work.
    3. You don't heal: We both rush the gen in 46 seconds. We can heal after if you want.

The thing is option 3 is more likely to avoid a pop or the killer coming to the gen. If the killer sees a gen nearly done he will guard it. If he recently hooked someone then he's more likely to get value out of pop if we use option 1 or 2.

This is the way most people think imo. I don't want to get a gen 3/4 for the killer to kick it or guard it. If you help me complete the gen I'll heal you but before that I want to finish my gen. Self care users are like urban players in that they use it badly and usually hurt the team more than help it. Spine chill was another perk I hated till I learned that it's only bad on babies.

I actually run inner strength. I don't go actively seeking totems and will rush gens injured. However if I see one then I'll grab it and use it when I think it's necessary. It can also be used well with other perks like ds and head-on.

  • Bubba you never respect pallets and force the drop. Only swing through a pallet if you have no stacks and your certain you'll get the hit.

On bubba this perk is amazing and you need nemesis to use it correctly.

  • I'd say 20% are #########. 10% are considered meta. 20% are good perks that aren't meta. 50% are good in builds.

  • If you waste 32 seconds healing and I down you with the chainsaw in about 5 then it wasn't pretty dumb. Especially when within those 32 seconds I can get all 3 stacks of PWYF.

Genuinely if self care was as good as people think then why are all the "sweaty swat swf" teams not running it? It's because it wastes time and doesn't help your team.

Also in this game I got upwards of 10 downs with the chainsaw so it should show why self caring was a waste. After this survivor self cared I found them and downed them within 10 seconds of completing their self care.

  • I'd suggest Sloppy, Pop, Nurses and maybe I'm all ears.

  • On killers like Legion and Doctor it can be really good. I usually run Pop also just incase they destroy the totem early. I don't think these two killers get massive help from any perk really so I'm happy to waste a perk slot either way on one of these perks.

Wouldn't run ruin on anyone else atm.

  • I prefer these sort of killers. They make the game more interesting rather than face the exact same type of killer every game.

With Freddy I never wake up unless I'm right next to the clock. It isn't necessary since even the gen slowdown add-ons are quicker than crossing the whole map to get a clock. If someone is awake next to me then they can wake me up but not otherwise.

Doctor is pretty easy to snap out of it. Pigs boxes are easy also since you'll probably search them before the trap is active. Plague is very dependent on your teammates. If they are good loopers and no ones cleanses then it's pretty easy to just stay injured the whole game.

  • I was killer and I told a survivor after the game how running self care really wasn't really good. Especially since I'm playing Bubba where I've literally gotten every down except for one or two with the chainsaw.

There reply was that they were devotion 17 and they can run whatever they want 😂 I asked for a picture of their rank, what a shock I didn't get a reply.

They played like a devotion 17 *cough* *cough* lol

You see, I totally would, if I had any other characters leveled. Like I said originally, I'm not looking for the meta build, but just something to ease my suffering. 😢

Ok well if you don't have these perks then you need to realise he is a weak killer. Advice on how to play him is to never go for chainsaws unless your basically touching the survivor. Also use charge add-ons pretty much every game. Use a charge add-on with beast marks or just 2 charge add-ons. The rest are trash so they aren't worth using. Cooldown is ok for locker grabs but that's more advanced bubba play.

What killers have you unlocked the teachables for?

  • Bubba is disappointed you use noed in any conversation about him. Run PWYF and Nemesis on him and enjoy the destruction.

  • Bubba would like you to choose him if you haven't got him already. He has excellent perks and is a beast to play. I will say if you don't own Oni or Myers (you need their perks) then don't get Bubba.

I'd say Pig or Legion since they are the most fun of the rest

  • Killers right now are destroying solo players easily so they can't really buff them anymore.
