  • Yes. Just no 4th perk.

  • I think it has more to do with the rank you're at.

Maybe 20% of the players I encounter are genuinely "toxic".

    Most just make bad plays.

I love when they keep hitting me on hook. I just keep saying," you know you dont get points for hitting me while I'm here but I get struggle points while you watch, right?" They usually walk off real quick or get super salty.

  • If they DC before the game starts, it kicks you back out and saves offerings.

They may have just been legitimately disconnected. It still happens a lot.

  • To find new perk builds to run. New ways to play around certain killers. To see what you can get away with.

Sometimes the aspect of "my teammate may be garbage " in itself makes the game more challenging/dynamic.

Or let's be honest: grinding that sweet BP to level killers.

@Carpemortum I don't count those you can still buy them in the store. They were temporarily free.

Summer event stuff was free and never sold

Free imo is non profit on them ever like pro-pain and the kate shirt.

I mean, I love my Kate shirt, but I wouldnt be upset if someone could buy it.

They were still free, just also still available if you couldnt play the event.

@Tsulan They haven't done free skins since summer of last year.

No anniversary skins were in the leaks or reveal either. :/

    Hallowed blight skins were free.

    Moonrise as well.

Oooh, so if I throw pallets down, grief, and make noise when there's three people, it's okay! And it's okay if it's not immediately, according to you!

And it's totally fine to sandbag, drop pallets, grief, and follow you around if it's just me and you!

Boy, thanks for clearing that up! Glad to have you here.

You're really stretching the variables for your own sake now. Stop quoting/tagging me. You're making yourself look stupider ever post that uses misinformation.

Bye. I'm off to actually play the game. Maybe get down to 2 and see who gets the other caught first. Good thing I WONT GET BANNED FOR IT.

    <3

  • Your quote says it all. "When Is it bannable". The devs have said griefing a single player over multiple games.

I'm done with you being a brick wall of ignorance and side arguments. Gl getting caught by a NON bannable troll.

I didn't say anything about throwing pallets, and AetherBytes' comment was about leading the killer to the other survivor in a hatch situation.

You're giving me a whole lot of "ifs" in defense of what looks like griefing and working with the killer, so I want to make it clear. So let me get this straight:

So the difference between bannable and nonbannable behavior is when you do it? Is it how many people are alive? Is it determined by the killer's actions? Whether or not it worked? Or is it as you had initially stated: whether you message the killer? Which is it? How much would it take to make the act of following you around and leading the killer, in order to intentionally sabotage, you perfectly normal and defensible gameplay?

And would you defend another survivor's actions of following you around and attempting to intentionally lead the killer to you as not bannable and "saving themselves"?

I also answered your last question already. Learn to read.

Vaults and lockers make indicators, genius. Pallets are expendable resources. Lockers and vaults are not. They are also infinitely vaultable outside of a chase.

Man, do you the play the same game?

You want to add making sound to the list too? Honestly, it's surprising that you sound so sure of yourself, yet still avoid yes or no questions.

Man it's as if you didnt read or comprehend what I wrote?

I said. If people are throwing pallets AND MAKING NOISE immediately w 4 people its throwing the game.

If it's down to 2 and a hatch, it's you or them. If they point you out and the killer kills you man that sucks but guess what? The killer has the option to kill the person MAKING ALL THE NOTIFICATIONS.

Learn comprehension and context. Try again.

So following a teammate around, spamming noise notifications, and pointing at them the whole time wouldn't be bannable because you didn't directly message the killer?

You would just frame it as "trying to save themselves" if a teammate did that to you?

No, I'd say it's a gambit. And it worked if the killer decides not to kill you.

If you start the game making noise and throwing pallets, its throwing the game. But the situation is 2 people alive. The killer could have secured a kill, but opted to take a chance and follow the person. Just as the 3rd took a chance of being hooked immediately.

    It paid off.

And yes. It sucks, but if that's what happens AND the killer goes for it. Bully for them. Killer now knows where number 4 is making a hatch close even easier.

So when a killer opts to kill nobody, hit nobody, and farm, thus "preventing intentional gameplay," and removing survivors chance at max points , should they be banned as well?

  • @GrootDude said:

@Carpemortum the devs have said tunneling isn’t bannable, I’m sure mori spamming until the survivor dies is bannable.

Exactly. Tunneling isnt bannable. Yet it's considered griefing.

Meaning just because they troll you once doesnt mean they get banned.

Mori spamming isnt either, as it eventually ends. And unless it's the same person multiple games, they wont be banned.

  • @GrootDude said:

@Carpemortum griefing/trolling is bannable, I avoided chase until the endgame but still did 2 gens and three hook saves. (Killer only got five hooks).

Right, but mori spamming wont get you banned. Tunneling could be considered griefing, but unless its targeting one person in multiple games it wont ban anyone.

I'm just saying, simply because it "says" its bannable, doesnt mean it fits all the requirements.

  • You want to report them for not saving you? Good luck with that.

They dont have to save you. Faking an unhook is never done without prompt. So what did you do to make them feel the need to SHOW you they werent saving you.

Even if you didnt, they wont be punished. Its BORDERLINE griefing. But unless the killer is working with them, chances are it wont be considered anything reportable.

  • It's been a few months that Entity Blocking/Bamboozle have been broken and not working.

You guarantee theyd do it if it was DS?

You sound a little one sided.

  • @Paladin_Goo said:

That's literally bannable. It's called working with the killer and sandbagging. Before you say "no it's not" - yes, it is. The one ban ANGRYPUG has on record was for literally screwing over the other survivors by helping the killer.

No. It's making a decision to try and save yourself. The killer chooses to kill you or swap and follow. Theyre not obligated to follow your instructions.

If you messaged the killer at start, "hey find me I'll show you all survivors with bond", that would be working with killer.

this is just a bunch of useless platitudes

what is there to "learn" about a perk that can only be countered by certain killers? regular m1 killers have to just power through it and it can easily lose them games and there's nothing they can do about it

i've dealt with those teams too (and won), that doesn't mean anything when the perk by definition puts objectively weaker killers at a disadvantage

Sorry if objectively ######### game design makes me question stuff.

I aim to be as ascended as you someday.

@miaasma Learn that not every game is going to be handed to you. Learn how to bait that ######### early.

Objectively weaker, by definition, are ALREADY at a disadvantage. MoM didnt make them weak. If you want to win, play top tier killers. One of which HARD COUNTERS MoM. If you want to play for fun, have fun, dont cry about a perk making the game a challenge.

@gantes feel free to question things. But theres no need for the "woe is me I had to face MoM" attitude. No need for bashing people or getting heated because you dont like how a perk works or the fact that you CAN play the game regardless of it affecting the outcome.

Sorry if I dont have to have a 4k handed to me every game to enjoy it.

It's okay, I get it, a lot of you were raised with participation trophies. So I'll leave you to your echo chamber as your peers usually do .

Good luck on your irl struggle you want to blame on everything expect your lack of will to try.

Maybe a bug for you. Report it in the bugs section?

  • @Gardenia said:

I suppose theoretically a counter to mettle of man would be to grab them during an interaction, like unhooking someone rather than striking them. I know it's a slim chance, but maybe the killer should have a small slight indicator if someone has MoM, or not it doesn't matter for me haha

Trapper setting off your MoM while hitting you/breaking you out of a trap wastes it. It wears off and he gets a second hit before you get off the ground from the animation.

  • Can we just remember as always, that pig traps are NOT RNG AND HAVE ONE KEY PER BOX FOR A TRAP WHEN IT IS PLACED ON A SURVIVOR. Devs have said this multiple times.

Unfortunately I have done that as well, because of my Resident Evil 6 experience. I'm still murdering it even when I'm not doing it too hard. I also have to palm it because I just get sore (and have tendonitis in my thumb). But yeah, pro-tip that will probably work for literally anyone else. -_-

You also don't have to go super fast. A slow steady circle works just as well. The wiggle bar moves at one speed.

  • @Salty_Pearl said:

Dance with Me is bad anyway. It would be a good perk if they increased the time, 3 seconds does nothing.

3 seconds of no scratches if paired with lightweight or lithe can be devastatingly effective.

  • @Orion said:

Why, exactly, do you think that a single survivor should have the upper hand in a 1v1 after the killer played well and killed everyone else?

Exactly. If the hatch opens, the objective is failed.

I love how people want to have a guaranteed 50/50 chance in a situation they have caused by failing, and use the prevention of hostage holding (EGC) as a scapegoat.

"Theres only 2 mins left I have no chance err what do."

Well, get work done before the EGC happens?

That's IF you find them at end game and even if you do, killing them then doesn't matter, you already lost. The entire point is to counter all the tempo loss of a DS mid game to improve your chances at winning still.

All Rancor does is give you a "feel good" mori on the obsession, it isn't generally helping you win. It's a pitty reward.

Also pings everyone and shows the obsessions aura so you can track/ignore them until late game thus making it useful as you dont waste time on a free one down.

  • Better than rank 2s vs 18s or 25 min wait times right?

Which is why everyone is tellin OP to "git gud"

Lol but really, I do agree. I've stopped running Enduring/Spirit Fury (even to my own detriment) because so wanted to learn how to NOT live with them. While I know infinites and safe loops exist, they don't if I break the pallet.

Now to relate this with going against Spirit, I listen for the hum of her phasing and only run when I need to. If they're running Prayer beads, I make sure to keep an eye on the movement of the killer via my team (I run Aftercare and pay special attention to where/when a person is downed.) and again, run only when I have to.

    Is it hard? Absolutely.

Do I think I'm going to win? Likely no, but I'll damn near try.

Do I accept the challenge? Yes, because that's the point of a game.

    You ALWAYS run aftercare? Jw.

Sprint Burst is the best of them if you use it properly. It's the only one that can be used on demand when the killer catches you out of position.

Lithe is a poor man's sprint burst where you are significantly more likely to take a hit if the killer catches you out of position. Balanced Landing is a perk that lets you run pseudo-infinites on some maps such as Haddonfield, but it's almost useless on other maps, and I would almost always run Balanced Landing with either Lithe or Dead Hard to prevent getting screwed over by a bad map spawn. Honestly I would say these two perks are tied for second, with Balanced Landing being better on the more vertical maps and on certain set pieces, while Lithe is a more general use perk that is okay on most maps.

Dead Hard is probably 4th place just because of how finnicky it is. It's better than Balanced Landing and Lithe in a few specific situations (such as playing against a skilled Nurse or Trapper); but most of the time it's only going to give you a small benefit one time before the killer knows to expect it during the 2nd and even the 3rd chase. Requiring you to be injured is also a major problem with it because it means you are significantly more likely than you are using the other three to take that first hit simply because you don't have an exhaustion perk until you do. This is one of the few perks where I don't agree with how popular it is versus how good it actually performs. Especially when you take latency into account.

Head On is just a meme perk tbh.

Adrenaline is a special case where I wouldn't really try to compare it to any of the above. It's inclusion (or lack thereof) in your build does not really affect your decision on whether or not to take one of the others.

I like lithe for the fact that I can run AND have it when I want it. If I use Q&Q or Dance With Me, it's just rude.

We do, although in this case there is no drama. Somebody had a bad experience in the game and reported the other player. That's all that happened. We are not going to ask the Fog Whisperers to have no emotions, that's not reasonable and that's also not something we want.

What about when their emotions make them rage DC and act like it's cool because they wont be punished? Which further influences others to do the same.

Because it is a horrible idea. It's just wasting time.

See, dead hard helps me extend chases, decisive helps against tunneling killers, MoM is a huge crutch I agree, looking forward to its rework and Bond isn't a crutch, it helps me find teammates to heal me and gives me great info. Now look at this guy using self care at the edge of the map. Big difference, he's just wasting time that he could use to do gens. Also at the edge of the map... logical thing would be to heal at a pallet, an actual safe spot, but edge of the map... there's nothing safe there, which also tells me that the guy doing it isn't very good at the game.

If I used self care and healed my self at the edge of the map, then you can talk. Cheers!

You say these things like other variables cant happen. Nurse in play, heal at pallet? Nah. Anyone you know has nurses? Heal as far away as possible. It's not black and white.

I never said bond was a crutch, did I?

Dead Hard isnt either, but it's about as situational as Self Care. Which was my point that you ignored.

"If self care is useless, they are too."

I didnt say they were crutches at all actually, just that theyd be labeled that way just as you label SC useless. They're the same in terms of wether or not YOU want something to be considered useful or a smart choice.

Also, dont say cheers like you got the last word and the conversation is over. Its disingenuous and you know as well as I do your argument doesnt hold water. It's okay if you're out of good (bs) examples as to why self care is a bad choice but 3 "crutch" perks arent.

I understand your frustration, being stuck in green ranks because of perk choices and all.

There isn't a rank limit for SWF Groups, i am 100% sure of it

just yesterday, i deranked back to 15, then then i fought against a group of SWF that is clearly meant for Rank 1, they are here to bully baby killers, sadly im not one of them so i killed them all

    Rank 1 survivor + rank 3 + rank 6 + Rank 20 Survivor

The rank 20 survivor is 100% on an alt account , so they queue with the rank 20 , to get baby killers

You just said you de ranked to 15. Dont de rank and you won't get smurfs. Dont quit and you'll get better.

Why do people still act like SWF is the plague. you cant win em all. All you can do is learn more efficient strategies by being in a tough situation.

Guess most of yall are just used to being handed things these days eh?

    What's fun, an easy 4k?

I don’t look for the hatch, because it’s pointless. When the killer hits the door the start the EGC and the doors are right by each other, it’s really an unfair advantage.

"Unfair advantage" meaning the upper hand in a situation you have already lost and put into their control.

It's not supposed to be a GOOD chance of escape. It mitigates 45 min standoffs, and gives *A* chance, EVEN IF 0 GENS ARE DONE. You can do NO work and still have a chance. Is that an "unfair advantage" as well?

1 … 47 48 49 50 51 … 80
