Why distortion does not work against deerstalker?
I noticed that when a survivor is down and the killer has deerstalker, distortion never activates and the killer can still see the survivors aura.

Because Deerstalker would consume all of Distortion's tokens almost immediately. Much like how current Freddy does.
If anything it's a benefit for the survivor, as it would very quickly burn your distortion charges, starting the first time you're downed.
It's probably similar to Iron Will being disabled on the ground, it's considered unfun to be left on the ground for long periods of time, and it's also not fun to search for a survivor that could silently be anywhere, so the interaction doesn't occur to improve gameplay all round.
But still it could give you a better chance if you have unbreakable, or unbreakable plus tenancy.
Not really, it'd consume your tokens faster than a Thanos snap
Maybe change the description of the perk? And mention the killer cannot see your aura unless you are in the dying state. Cause with the current description is easy to asume deerstalker should not see you either.
But it hides your aura in dream world, and consuming tokens even faster
I've used 2 stacks of distortion to heal near a nurse. Any time is extra time when the killer has aura detection.
