Even better, when the next chapter drops, just get downed by a zombie under a pallet. Free power struggle.

Please then if you have the secret upload some videos so those of us that want him to be viable can get the strategy. Otherwise could you be a little more constructive with your feedback than "practice more" cause I'm perfectly competent with Huntress and Slinger so it's not my aim.

Funny thing is even a lot of these people that have 1000s of hours, on twitch will struggle with him. Compared if you use any basic other so called weak killer. I seen some real good killer only users struggle vs basic loopers, were as they use other killers they won't even have put in the effort. And when they win it's usually vs survivors who are more play more basic at the game.
After flexing my 2.4k hours (insert cringe emote) maining killer, I can reveal to you the Trickster secrets. I can comfortably say that Trickster suffers from:
- Pubstomper syndrome;
- Legion syndrome.
Regarding 1), he's one of those killers that when going against bad survivors he thrashes them HARD. Keypoint: seemingly harder than stronger characters on paper. That's why he gives the illusion of having potential.
He doesn't have range limitations (unlike Deathslinger) and doesn't have to double tap survivors too precisely. If they take bad pathing, you sort of wind up your knives and spam until they go down, which will happen very fast.
Go against decent survivors, not even optimal, and they'll make you a 110% m1 killer, or pay dearly for landing every knife. Pick your poison. Sure, you can get them stuck in situations where you slowly chip away at their laceration until they inevitably go down. Keyword: slowly. Too much so.
He's very strong in open areas where he can throw over loops. Sure. But guess what happens in open areas... Yep, survivors with eyes can see him and simply run early to a high wall. Gg.
Unironically, his power is very decent for camping. Even more so because you can often build up main event in those situations, instead of it having to go wasted.
But that's it. There's no hidden secret to Trickster. No shaolin-like 5head combo mindgame prediction. If survivors run straight, you go m2+m1 and they fall down. Easy money. If they know to loop high walls and they don't panic, you're facecamping Bubba's cousin. No amount of brain power or skill will change his strength.
Regarding 2), his power design is inherently flawed. So, even small buffs have the potential to butterfly-effect into busted gameplay.
Take, for example, his best add-on combo in melodius murder plus the can, imho. On paper, they don't seem to do much. Yet, throw'em on and even against good survivors you will eat away at their health states, not proportionally, but exponentially faster than the add-on descriptions would imply.
I'd say it should be 'reasonably' safe to buff his main event (he'll become a hell of a camper). Other buffs to his core power are definity riskier with unforeseen consequences.
Lastly, is he viable? Against your casual survivors when killer queues are instant: ######### yea. In the early ranks up to purple? He's a blast. Against boosted red rank Blendettes? Bring'em on! But against confident survivors, maybe at hours when killer queues are a tad longer, few red rank killers who tend to get matched against the better survivors, then no. Don't walk into those trials expecting him to perform like the killer he's not.
My 2 cents.

Implying that I have family or friends WidePeepoSad

So, basically make a new account, buy the dlc and play 10 games at rank 20.
What's the purpose anyway?

A re-sell system would probably lessen this issue. Maybe get 50% back on resold consumables.

DCs are handled automatically through the time-out system. DC'ing is not reportable anymore.

It's corrupt. The challenge description has already been confirmed wrong. I got it done with iridescent seal.

I'd be surprised if if wasn't Russia.

It depends on the individual. You always run the risk to come across as condescending.
I suggest trying to make your intentions sound genuine by broaching the subject with stuff like "gg tough map for (insert killer)", or "gg you did well even though we had a lot of good pallets to work with" and then maybe follow up with "when I play killer I usually prefer to do X in X situation. I found it works well."
You get the idea.
-
In one of the early archives one the first challenges was to heal other survivors and I was matched against 3 Plagues in a row.

I'm not saying to condone it, but the only way to counter foul play is with foul play.
Except you're not countering it. You're just spreading the disease. You're not fighting those who wronged you first. You're just trying to wrong someone else.

Nobody is forcing you to slug. If you care so much about the difference between a 4 and a 3, then just put in the work and earn it. The game gives you all the tools to do it and it's nowhere like the old hatch stand-offs, which were legitimately stalemates.
You have all the power to end the game to your liking.

Billy. Second one was Huntress.
-
Her perks actually do something.
Ash and Ace are in a much worse spot.

Hey! I can think of a couple of unsafe pallets, one upstairs and the other one on the bottom floor. That's 2 out of 30. Just herd the survivors toward those to get a free hit 5head.

It's because survivors whined even tho mori's stopped being worth it after they only worked on death hook. Keys still ain't changed tho
I can't remember a single survivor thread complaining about moris since the nerf.
I don't know why the devs feel this is a
nonissue needing attention, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is going to be one of those ideas they simply discard down the line and we never hear of it again. -

The houses in Badham and Hunfunfield, the drops in Gideon and Hawkings, the buildings in Mother's Dwelling, falling from Ironworks of Misery's stairs. Those are the ones I'm sure of.
A small fall won't do it, even if it's enough to trigger Balanced Landing. Your best best is a height that in general would cause a full stagger.
-
It's legal as far as game rules are concerned.
It's more of design oversight, as similar bodyblocking spots in hooking areas have been rectified.
I suggest posting this in a bug report.

This is my gameplay at rank 1.
It's kinda funny, because the other killer I main is Nurse.
They're really bad, but this is my average game as killer when I'm half asleep.
I don't know where/when you play, but as I've said many times, in the EU if I play from late afternoon then 9 out of 10 times I get matched with terrible survivors. Not even a challenge most of the time. Earlier in the day matchmaking is significantly better, but queues worse. Ymmw.
There's a reason why content creators stream at the hours they do when they go for streaks while gloating
-
If he gets nerfed it's not gonna be before the initial money grab.
-
My prediction is that you will hate Nemesis before Blight.
-
Let's be honest. It's gonna be one of those typical features that they disable in a few days like MMR, or that does nothing like hit validation.
-
THIS SYSTEM BETTER BE WORKING ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESSLY.
One word: BHVR.
-
Bhvr really cares about feedback, haven't you noticed? /s
-
So, survivors can simply see you spawn your perk and instantly know where your ruin is?

The thing is, I DID double pip... went from one away from Rank 4 to one pip in... so I gained two pips lol
If you started from rank 5, then there must be bug. If I was a betting man, I suppose the achievement is probably coded to check if you get enough emblem requirements against your rank color ONLY after your new rank is calculated at the end of the trial. That would explain the issue, because you need 4 iri to get merciless in the red ranks and you got 3.
Short version: you double pipped as a purple rank, but the system probably sees you as a red rank.

I don't even think I disagree with him except on the semantics of counterplay. I'd be trying to prove a point he's not even trying to make.
If you run super early and stay healthy as long as possible, chases can last a minute. But he's explicitly stated that's not his idea of counterplay.
Starting at shack like that, 30-40 seconds tops.
But that's not what you said. You didn't say that the conditions of the challenge don't allow to extend the chase. You explicitly said the survivor did all wrong. Implying he could've done something right. And he definitely didn't even come close to last 30-40 sec except maybe the last chase. So, there you go. You have a chance to show what could be done right.

It would be hilarious if the survivors posted the same screenshot in a thread titled 'this is why we play haddonfield with a key'.
Sweatlords against sweatlords. I'd say matchmaking worked for once.
-
If you're on PC, you can make a bug report and attach your game log. They might be able to figure out what happened in absence of other clues. If your recollection of the events is correct, then there's definitely something amiss.

Notifications of this kind are not consistent for either side. There are many examples were similar situations are treated differently. The reason is unironically because the devs chose to do so in that particular situation.

People wanted Spirit nerfed when her PTB released, and they didn't nerf her.
Either way, look at Blight. People thought he was dogshit, after he got buffed when he released people said that he was only "okay." A month later people realized he was actually really good, just took skill to play.
Blight's collision was very scuffed in the ptb. The criticism was warranted.
After that, it took a while to figure out how to maximize his turn rate, which consoles couldn't do until 4.7.1 Not to mention some of it was supposedly unintended. Again, that criticism was warranted as well.
That's not even factoring in the bugged camera he had for months.
He's not the same killer now that drew criticism back then.
-
Removing collision would give free knowledge as to whether tunnel or not. It would give free pressure on unhooks and to camping, as a trade at the bare minimum would be guaranteed.
Currently, bodyblocking preserves the perk and balances the situation out. It could end in a 1 for 1, 1 for none or none for 1.
Both sides have a chance.
Remove collision and survivors would have no reason to go for altruism if the killer camped. Which would void the whole purpose of BT. It'd glue survivors to gens.
If you want to counter bodyblocking then choose your hook position wisely.

Um. Might be a dumb question. I use native resolution but I do have NVIDIA filters. How similar are those to this ReShade thing? Is it bannable?
You can't be banned for using your gpu drivers. Not to mention nVidia has a policy to disable that funcionality for a specific game at devs' request.
Reshade is a little different, because it requires installing files in your game directory. If one day EAC decided to backlist them, you'd be flagged. It's never happened in dbd, afaik.

Not in 1 frame, but you can do two 90-degree turns to emulate a 180-degree turn.
The only, albeit important, difference is that you have slam collision during the first 90 degree turn. Which yes, it is a big deal in certain situations.
Other than that, you can still use a DPI switch and just press m1 after you start dragging your mouse. It's a 180 in 2 frames, which is undistinguishable at 60 FPS.
You can also pretty much go around structures in multiple 90 degree turns without having to slam.

You can predrop unsafe pallets and vault over them to make Wraith hit the pallet instead. Also, decent loops are common af. LT walls are a great example for that. High-wall loops can be used as well, and especially shack. Wraith sucks at shack loop.

Wraith's secret perk: Being able to moderately/considerably/tremendously decrease the survivors' IQ.
And yeah, I completely agree.
The irony in your second post is amazing, considering that any survivor who played as you suggest in your first post would demonstrate the IQ of a potato. And also be slashed accordingly. Hilarious.
-
This is old Frank's mix tape Legion in disguise without the moonwalk. Hidden wound simply works like a surrogate deep wound timer removal. You can get a survivor at 50% hidden wound in your first frenzy. Then they would just get re-frenzied until downed. Just keep chasing them, as the hidden wound doesn't decline until fully healed.
I'm either missing the point, or this doesn't solve the issues why Legion was changed back then. It just resurrects them.

Funny how the experiences differ.
I have seen one Blight in the past 3 days. But 8 Twins. I would have preferred it was the other way.
Wait for the Twins tome. Fun times ahead of us.
-
It'd a bit of long topic, because it would have to include bloodlust and perks in it.
The short version is that if the pallet is unsafe (it's connected to structures on its sides that cover a short distance), the survivor needs to stun you. Which in turn means that in general you can respect and, when you're at opposite sides of the loop, then with a quick fake going one way and then doubling back you can often get within lunge range.
If the pallet is safe (it has at least one long side). Then you're better off not respecting unless you have a good read on how the survivor plays (i.e. does this survivor throw pallets early? do they run through them often? do they look behind themselves to track your position? Etc.).
Lastly, as you go against increasingly better players, you should stray away from doing the same thing over and over.
-
If you want to optimize this challenge, you're gonna have to essentially throw. Yeah, I know. Blame BHVR.
Take BT and something to heal yourself. DS is also a good idea, in case you get tunneled off hook. I like empathy or kindred as well, so you can get close to the action when you need to.
When you spawn in, fast vault and take aggro. Loop as well as you can. When you get hooked, take note of whom came for your rescue. PRO TIP: if while looping you're moments away from a guaranteed down, then try to jump into a locker. This will ensure you won't get slugged.
From here on out you're going to play passively. Try to do gens and go only for safe altruism. If your rescuer gets hooked, rush to the rescue (empathy helps in getting a head start). Basically farm them with BT and then bodyblock to go down for them. Likely, a different survivor will unhook you this time, as the one you rescued is probably busy running away/healing.
When you get unhooked again, you're now dead on hook, but you can get up to 3 chances to get your remaining 2 unhooks. Simply play passively and don't farm your second rescue, unless the killer is hardcore camping. In that case, let your teammate take the BT hit. You can farm your third and last rescue, but don't force it if the killer doesn't camp or if there's no one else trying to hook bomb.

Well if the killer has Ruin then using the perk will be bad for the survivors because the gen will be regressing as long as the gen is blocked. It really only works well againt Pop and even then it just encourages the killer to chase you immediately and you won't be able to work on the gen for a while so it potentially saves the killer about as much time using Pop on the gen as it does blocking it with Repressed Alliance.
Regression is paused while the gen has entity blockers. Same with thrilling tremors. Confirmed by the devs.
