I get those maps at least 40% of the time and I hate it. It looks pretty but I liked the old atmosphere much more, the daylight makes it too yellow. It's so bright and yellow that I can barely see anything red. It's like a new Ormond.
Ormond at least has the sense not to mix reds, yellows, browns and oranges. It’s white and a bit blue so even though it’s pallet city I’ll at least be able to tell where im being epically looped at

Xrossplay off equals less laggy matches for me for some reason even tho my ping is low. Its probably due to the different networks having to communicate with one another.
It gets laggier for me when i have it off, boggles my mind.
-
Blame it on your teammate who ghosted you and the amount of gens that just flew by
-
Wraith is like legion in the sense that they score free hits, but one is more lethal and harder to see coming while the other is legion. When i play wraith id rather play anyone else and against him i just sit on gens and drop pallets early
-
The realm beyond exists to make people go”ooh pretty”. You already bought the game, you don’t really matter anymore.
-
Make smaller, denser maps with a bunch of pallets that aren’t super safe. People use wraith because you can zoom to the next chase and mitigate the dev’s fetish for large maps
-
Learning a new-old killer is just a bunch of jobbing to people who usually know what they are doing. Best thing to do is play on a alt and spam whatever power it is you have
-
Who doesn’t love survivors randomly becoming silent on maps where there are many things to block line of sight.
-
Take a killer with no personality like trapper and boom you’ve got a robot.
-
The game is more fun for me. It’s like i can pick the maps i want to play on as killer. As survivor, I never have to dc since I don’t get screwed over by maps or fight spirit at all. When I’m fighting a 3 man i just don’t kick and it makes the game fun
-
If it includes voice lines then yes. Freddy is just a mute hat imp. Trickster is more like classic freddy
-
Unfun maps and wanting to get easier games one of which could be fixed by adding that unranked mode that people have been asking for for years
-
If surv dc at start then give a gen to the team. If the map is big make the generator take longer to repair. Now the game stays interesting and the devs can satisfy their fetish for large maps without making killers groan every tune the loading screen ends.
-
Give everyone a toggle for crosshairs. Even killers, if they let swf exist why not give killers crosshairs and a way for survivors to tell if they are actually revealing or blinding.
-
Yup, it’s why the old maps have a blue or green tint. Now that penalty is off farms are too :) The visual rework wasn’t about gameplay, it was about making things look pretty and marketable
-
All legion does is just make the game about chases. That’s literally the only interesting part of a match.
-
Lack of a new map and bugs sucked but it was pretty cool overall. I love everything about twins and elodie is pretty cool. I like how Elodie is fashionable and driven while Charlotte is comically poor and just lives for the sake of it after losing victor
-
Auras, survivors scratchmarks are hard to see and the large sizes and visual monotony doesn’t help either. It’s boring and frustrating
-
wheres Nea jerking in 90 degree angles?
-
If they insist on adding big indoor maps then I’ll just idle or camp. What’s the difference between wandering in a void and standing in a corner? Barely any action either way. The worst part is the amount of people completely domesticated and willing to play and pay for anything.
-
survivors will seethe at the thought of crouching and triggering traps while someone else is in a chase
-
I love using a killer and feeling something dragging me back. It’s bot as frequent as the stuttering right now but it makes playing feel miserable. Frenzy feels slippery and slow, switching to and pouncing with victor is basically a sideshow.
-
I’m not sure how to turn off crossplay on ps4 but the only advantage pc players survivors get is being able to turn more rigidly. I hate it because it takes me out of the game but also because when I’m in frenzy they’ll just slip past me because of the lagging frame and connections. Outside of using legion spins just get add a second to the chase because they’ll pause for a second before rotating again.
-
The power isn’t interactive and addons will naturally increase that.
-
Dead hard is ass because it either makes me miss a extra few seconds or way more time because they were able to lose but still get to another structure.

I hate that Legion gets kicked out of Feral Frenzy when he misses an attack. It's so unnecessary, and on console that just damns him to the junk pile. A killer being heavily punished for whiffing is not something that console players can reasonably deal with.
So long as the connection is stable i can still hit it. It may not he reliable but getting everyone injured is mad fun
-
Frame drops cause me to get spun and it’s a lot easier when I’m in frenzy. I just got the twins and the first game i played I literally could bot pounce as victor. On the third I went against a swf. The pouncing thing happened to my brother too but that was just a one time thing so far at least. Survivors will run into me and mess with the autoaim.
-
No because I don’t cheat

I expect a game to be fun, but DbD has a lot of problems making killer fun.
A year and a half back I was trying to learn Nurse. With the low fps and frame drops on console, it wasn't easy, but I was having fun with the challenge. Kills? Forget it, I was thrilled if I actually managed to get my BBQ 4-stack, but I still had fun. Then Nurse got a cool down added on top of her fatigue, and she went from a fun challenge to a miserable chore.
Cool downs are built into killer powers and perks. Stuns are built into some killer powers and the game is always adding more ways for survivors to stun killers. Sure, those things are needed for balance, but they're not fun, and then you add to those the bugs and the low fps and frame drops (which are problems across the board but get worse with some killers)... there's only so much any player can take before they just don't want to deal with that crap anymore. Like me with Nurse, now. I could get a 4k with Nurse and I'd still hate playing as her. That's bad when even winning isn't fun.
It's not about BP or 4ks. Points and kills don't retroactively change a bad experience into a good one.
@Northener1907 Unfortunately, it's unlikely this game will keep new players when the RE chapter comes out. Skill-based matchmaking is still not implemented, so experienced and inexperienced players will get thrown in together, and that means the new, inexperienced players are going to have a bad time.
Beyond the regular idea of killer being fun or unfun, there was also the addition of crossplay across all platforms. Due to the limitations of console there are fewer killer players, but the console playerbase is not small, so there's a good possibility that console brought in a crapton of survivor players and not nearly enough killers. If that's the case, the only thing that might ever smooth that bump out is optimization and controller settings. Until then, PC players get screwed in the queue by our console issues.
Yet another reason to optimize console

Can’t check what map it is either so you can’t adjust your loadout
-
Green and a pretty good variety although I don’t remember much of my survivor games because it’s so boring
-
a finger curls and you get a new map that’s large with a big main building with corn
-
@Moundshroud said:
Leave the corn alone. The new maps are great and the corn affect on LOS is a very challenging (and different) experience from other maps. Variety is the spice of life.
Free blinds isn’t challenging it’s forcing me to bend over and look for scratches
-
Just play killer bro

legion needs a complete rework cause his power is useless. I would be ashamed if i lost to a legion
It’s really only useless against a smart team who knows not to stay too close, but even then killer instinct can help locate and prioritize.
-
YouTube and twitch are slow and misleading as far as information goes
-
Survivors are the clock and they are intended to be inconsistent and unreliable. All you have to do is say killer on me and just like that 3 other people can heal and sit on a gen, really it’s cheating unless it’s a really strong killer. The strongest killer don’t play the game either
-
@RiskyKara said:
That could work if DBD also introduced a general 'set-up' phase of a match start. You know pick your Hex spots, set up Hag or Trapper Traps, et cetera.
killers would see the map and probably leave
-
Part of that is because there’s a 12 ish time difference meaning your killing people in the morning who likely arent talking to each other like how survivors do at night. No one wants to play high level killer so it’s common to stomp or he stomped
-
spirit is conceptually awful and any nerfs will result in her being in an endless cycle of nerfs and buffs. Assuming the small indie company has time of course
-
How else are they gonna get epic spins
-
Yellow sun, yellow corn, brown ground and walls, yellow totems, red auras, red scratches. Now let’s consider dark cosmetics, Iron will, frame drops and lag too. Can’t forget the dead air filled with moving in a straight line and getting dead harded to the next of seemingly endless loops
-
The maps aren’t fun for killer since you spend years moving around, simply just reduce the size of maps or increase the amount of generators needed to leave. Camping usually means some form of action, when i do play survivor I spend time unhooking and chasing and not on gens for a reason
-
3 killers who look and sound great that are fun to play against. No new maps though. Improved hud and animations but map reworks that are generally awful. I only got the game a fee months back and honestly I really only dislike most of the maps and the bloodweb. What attracted me(chases and music) is still there just not in corn
-
- Do you enjoy the only engaging part of the game
duh. Problem is the map design seems to go out of it’s way to prevent them from happening.
-
change maps to help give more specific information and make them easier to get on the bloodweb. Or introduce a ping system tied to a new item with limited use of course. Of course make sure you buff some killers that would get blown back by this before you do that
