Maybe we make a perk so survivors can clear things that entity blocks. Once per trial thing. So if you use corrupt I can tell you to hey, not cool and I waste a perk, plus you would know where I would be.
Then there would be no use for Corrupt, as most Killers would probably use Ruin Undying Tinkerer/Discordance and Thanataphobia...
Oh wait Counterforce exists now.

I can't speak for mightybear, but I'm going to assume he knows that. That doesn't change the fact that the name "The Shape" has nothing to do with his power.
I'd say that the majority of killers don't have names that reflect their powers.
Almost none of the killers do. Most of their names are lore-based.

Why would a shape... stalk people?
Myers is also called "The Shape" in the Halloween movies.
-
The Trickster is named so cause it was his nickname while he was a musician.
The Blight is named cause of his serums, as how MadLordJack said, he underwent a "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" type transformation after injecting himself with Compound 34.
-
Trickster has basically a perfect body, and most of the male Killers are basically beef-cakes so I wouldn't say much.
And I am not getting into female Killers. It's pretty self-explainable.

It does feel like this, doesn't it? But..the thread exists to ask the question rather than assuming it, even if some people want to be little pricks and assume they know my motives. I know I probably won't get any real answers, but never let it be said that I didn't try.
Hey, I'm sorry, but that would suck most of the fun out of playing Killer.
You probably got that thought cause of some stuck-up survivor main who think he/she is entitled to winning everytime.

You're telling me you wouldn't simp?
No one wants to be a simp. But it's hard with how bazonkers some people draw the characters.
I am not a degenerate, am I?
-
Might aswell make Trapper with no traps the only Killer.
-
Oni is fun, Blight is challenging but still fun, same with Deathslinger.
Clown and Trickster are exceptions.
If you want to get perks, I'd recommend Clown for Bamboozle and Pop Goes the Weasel. Second is Blight for Undying.

They can't it is a license.
Does not explain why The Game got reworked. Does not explain why Badham Preschool got reworked.
But yes, they would need permission to rework it.

Doesn't make sense with his current lore. I don't want to put people in a box cause of their sexualities, but no character in DbD have their sexualities confirmed, and with Jake, he is more tied to nature. I am afraid, if there was going to be LGBTQ+ character, then their whole story isn't based on being LGBTQ+. As how Caleegi said, A new survivor should be made, but I don't see the point of Dwight being LGBTQ+. He is a loner, come at me Dwight x David shippers.
-
Yeah it does. Strangely reminds me of Ash vs Evil Dead.

Had a random idea for a rework to this perk, if anyone's interested:
Sole Survivor:
As your friends begin to fall to the killer, you become shrouded in isolation.
Every time another survivor apart from yourself is hooked, gain a token. Anytime your location would be revealed to the killer, consume one token. Your location will not be revealed and you are immune to being revealed for 5/6/7 seconds.
If you are the Obsession, when you are the last survivor in the trial - you permanently lose your scratch marks. You also become the Obsession when all remaining survivors in the trial are sacrificed.
Increases odds of becoming the Obsession
Working idea was that Object is for auras, Sole Survivor would be for 'location' revealing perks and powers like Infectious fright, rancor and so on. I also wanted to add an effect once everyone else was dead to keep with the theme of the perk. Nothing really amazing but just wanted to share!
Distortion + Lucky Break/2?
-
Probably not. My main reason is cause console already gets 2 DLC's for free (Of Flesh and Mud / Spark of Madness). If these two weren't free, cross-progression would have come here faster.
-
Hoarder too.
-
Corrupt is fine, if anything. Survivors can just wait the 2 minutes out, or move to the other side of the map and do gens.
It's no Ruin, it's a nice perk.
-
Player behavior is toxic. Not the in-game mechanics.
DH might be a big basic ######### perk but what can I do if people use it not for the original purpose of it?
-
Not in 1 frame, but you can do two 90-degree turns to emulate a 180-degree turn.

well he got a buff recently, and jflick was sorta buffed, though I don't know if intended
J-flicks are harder to pull off now, you can get a 180 turn on console and pc now with new Blight though.
-
Just removing the M1 requirement and a smaller cooldown would already make it more popular.
-
Resource management.
Old Billy had none of that, he could chainsaw your crotch off at anytime.
-
- I now main Blight.
- First time I saw a Japanese flick, I decided "This killer is too cool not to pass up" and bought him.
- I bought him in March this year, and the two significant changes were to his collision detection and his POV.
- I did give him up once to play Hag, but quickly got back to him.
- Yes, the new POV is soooooooooooo good. It was annoying as balls to play on Hag POV.
- That would be Hag or Nurse. If J-Flicks are going to be removed (probably will cause of the ignorance of this community but that is another can of worms), I'd probably move on to them.
- Just like the last point. J-Flicks add a new option for Blight to do in a chase, rather on just relying on Bump Logic. I find them fun to do, to me it's a big risk but big reward.
-
Sir, I am a Blight main.
-
Sluzzy, we might have found your long lost cousin
-
Survivor:
Favorite - Autodidact (i have a medical team in a click of a button)
Least Favorite - Dead Hard (cheap way to avoid damage), OoO (near constant aura-reading on the killer, very abusable with SWF)
Killer:
Favorite - BBQ and Chili (sweet sweet BP), STBFL (40% helps you a ton in those dire moments tbh)
Least Favorite - Territorial Imperative (situational asf, only good on demo or hag)
-
devs after seeing this post:
if they aren't making a profit, then prove it. good luck with that.
-
Favorites (to play):
- Blight (j-flicks)
- Nurse (obvious)
- Shape (za warudo *tier III*)
- Legion (stabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstab)
- Deathslinger (shoot gun)
- Honorable mention: Huntress (swing hatchet)
Least Favorites (to play):
- Pyramid Head (janky power)
- Doctor (rank 1 survs: madness? whats that?)
- Ghostface (his power feels tedious to use)
- Spirit (stridor feels like a must-have)
- Plague (janky power, like p head)
- Dishonorable mention: Twins (m1 + demo)
-
A chapter similar to Operation Health would have a big benefit. It wasn't only bugs, but balancing too. If there was a period of, lets a month, a separate release of DBD (with weekly updates balancing and changing perks, powers, items etc.) I think most people would participate in that, but I do not really know. I'd like to hear from the community itself.
-
Yuis and Claudettes.
-
No, get Junkyard Air Filter and Punctured Muffler and you basically have Billy at almost the same level as Old Billy.
-
very petty over a video game character. ok.
-
Toolboxes had a immense amount of charges, enough for one generator, by patch 3.6.0, the Toolbox charges (and every other toolbox) were nerfed cause of the problem of gen speeds.

I see you picked all the best perks? What exactly did you want to rework?
I can't tell if you are serious or being sarcastic.

- I think the oblivious thing for third seal is just too much. Blindness itself is super powerful on its own.
- I don't understand the need for 2 skilchecks on Vvercharge. I'd maybe raise the penalty for failure... but I guess that would demand a cooldown on the perk, maybe... since you can spam kicks as of now.
- I'd agree on the buff on Mindbreaker if it didn't pause exhaustion already. But in it's actual state, I'm not down for the changes.
- I don't think Blood Favor should affect windows, especially since Crowd Control is coming. Besides, it's too much on a single perk.
The rest is ok for me. I remember the devs said something about not wanting a perk to overshadow stealth killers power. So for Beast of Prey, maybe there should be something to tell that let survivor tell you have it.
Then why is Third Seal + Undying not used more often? Right, Blindness has not that strong of a effect.
2 tremendous skill checks is basically the same as BNP skill checks, which most know to hit.
Wouldn't even matter much if the pause effect is removed from Mindbreaker, so guess that would be a change.
At least the blocking range of Blood Favor should be bigger.

I think for Iri head it should just have the requirement to only down further than like 20 or 25 meters, that way it rewards good Huntress plays without feeling too overpowered
People forget that Iri Head can just be with the trumping condition too. Just like Hag's Scarred Hand and Waterlogged Shoe. By ''Trumps all other addons" It means all other addons can't be used with it.
-
Plague is female, but go with any headcanon you want, i couldn't care less
-
Legion and Doctor are fun (except Doctor slightly) to play as, but incredilbly annoying against. Holy f.
-
Doctor, Blight, Deathslinger and Clown.
Blight's expertise in Alchemy is shown with this experiments with his serums, compounds.
Doctor was hired by the CIA cause of his expertise in neuroscience (if the definition of that is electroconvulsive experimentation.).
Clown developed his anesthetics and mixtures without being caught.
Deathslinger developed his own speargun, and many items for the prison warden.
-
Myers: Corrupt, Sloppy, Surge and Bamboozle
Legion: Ruin, Thanatophobia, Whispers and Surge
These to me feel like the best builds imo.
-
I thought this was going to be a hate post.
-
Nope, this isn't a Leatherface problem, just a general problem in the game itself, Face-camping is a strategy, as much survivors hate it.
Sadists on this world are going to exist, no changing that.
-
Yes, sorta.
His addons were the only thing needing a rework, other than that, his power was fine.
-
News flash; Killers want you killed. Yes, YOU.

As someone who consistently play Legion, this: is what makes more sense to me:
- Per every stab, Legion's stun gets longer (Using Frenzy with no stabs has no stun), and make that when Frenzy's power gauge is at least 25%, you can use it as if it was at 100%
...it’s honestly good. I mean survivors won’t be affected almost at all by this, because who cares if he has no stun after 0 stabs? The worst thing that can happen is a M1, which is probably better for them than a Frenzy hit. The only completely broken bit about this is (and I bet you didn’t consider this) against injured survivors. Like, I’m chasing an injured survivor that has some distance, activate Frenzy to gain ground, get out of Frenzy with no stun because 0 hits, M1 him and downing him. That would be a little bit like old Legion (no matter how better you are than me, you’re going down) and honestly maybe op. Could easily be fixed by a reasonable stun, like 1 sec.
I don’t see the second option being a thing, because Feral Frenzy was never supposed to be lethal or a game changer, it was intended from the start to be a massive slowdown tool.
And your bet was true. I was thinking about more so about the stun duration. I thought that with a 1 second set stun for no stabs, then with already 4 stabs the stun would be 5 seconds. My bad.
