This one is 100% the biggest improvement, god damn
You can tell original laurie was made when the team had way less experience under their belt
-
Now or never
I'm sure they'll do it
-
I'm annoyed that Vigil still sucks
-
Much better, well done on this one

I think the reveal "mechanic" aka look at him, is fine. It's also not broken as i've heard some survivors keep whineing about. It's spazzes out a little when you're really close to each other but that's about it. Most of the "buggy" stuff comes from me stalking from a lean and NOT showing more that 25% of my body and survivors not knowing this.
It isn't "fundamentally broken" it's just weak.... 1) i'd like a reduction from like 32 to 24 meteers for the reveal , essentially terror range radius 2) Hooked / Downed survivors should not be able to reveal you, AT least hooked ones, definetly 3) Lower the cooldown of his power, by a fair bit, it's insane wraith has no CD and a movement speed buff and you need 30 seconds if someone spots you from across the map
I disagree, I've been behind a leaning ghostface, having his entire frame on screen and nothing happens

His smile and optimism: Gone.

Darkest Dungeon is up there for me.

* With no addons
With addons, probably Legion or Trickster

Going to Mori every Dwight I see because of this thread.
I hope you are satisfied...

Alma would make a fun killer
I could see some kind of telekenesis power

Then evidence should be DM'd to a bhvr representative.
According to a tweet from the streamer who was removed today, apparently he sent it and they told him it wasn't against TOS
APPARENTLY, I'm not taking it as gospel but yeah.

I'm not making additional work for the mods as I'm not breaking forum rules.
Don't mean nothing by this, just explaining
This thread's kinda baiting out people who care about the drama to come and say why they keep making threads
Which would in turn make this a thread the mods would probably end up closing
Hence the irony.

Don't. Stop. Cease.
I --literally-- do not have a single ounce of care in me on what your opinion on the hot new drama is, it's still just drama. That's all it could ever be and will always devolve into on here. None of your enraged cries against BHVR and calls for justice will do anything more here than undergo rapid de-evolution into a trashfire that makes everyone worse for seeing it.
So the mods get rid of it. That's it.
They don't hate you, they're not freedom vampires sucking you dry of your liberties, they don't secretly disagree with what i'm sure is your very well formed and not inflammatory opinion and are closing your thread because they can't stand your overwhelming truth, they're literally just doing their (FREE) jobs of making this place a little more tolerable.
If it has your britches in that much of a twist, there's infinity and one more impactful ways to sort them out than making angry threads.
Calm the hell down, freedom fighter.

What ways are there to vent your grievances with a decision that's been made?
I mean, it's been said they don't want the discussions on the forums, but if not here - where else? Steam forums? Reddit? Twitter?
not crying about censorship, I get why threads are being locked and deleted but what other channels do people have?
-
Yeah I'd like a UK flag
-
There's a bit of a double standard going on
I hope they rectify it, otherwise things are just going to get worse

Excellent, you just made my point. Let me explain.
I honestly didn't mean anything behind what I said other than just using your comment as an example about "reading intentions". My intention was only to draw an example, not lump you in with a group.
And yet, you read my intentions to be far more sinister than they actually were.
Same can be said about what anybody sees in the game.
Oh no, I get that you were using my response as an example
I just wanted to make a point that I don't want to be lumped in with people who treat certain things in this game like a social taboo when it's a video game
Some stuff is annoying and frustrating about it, I think everyone probably agrees DBD is one of the most frustrating games ever made lol

I feel that is a personal choice. However, you should not expect anybody you don't know to live by those rules. If you feel good playing in what you view is a more honorable or nice matter - most of us are okay with it. What we take exception to is getting upset when others don't share the same attitude as you do.
Choosing to not get upset when people when people play in a way you preceive is mean is just that, a CHOICE. Such as right now right now, it's a personal choice of mine to accept what you said as an honest question. However, I COULD interpret it as a veiled attempt to socially shame others into playing your way.
You could assume my intentions if you wish, but it was just me being curious to hear what the person I was replying to had to say
The DBD community has enough moral grandstanders and shamers, I'd rather not be lumped in with them if it's all the same to you.

Yes both sides don't have to make anyone's experience enjoyable.
They don't have to, but should they try to?

It's not the killers job to make survivors experience enjoyable.
Does that also mean it's not the Survivors job to make the Killer's experience enjoyable then?

Peronsally I wouldn't. I've had multiple TTVs in my lobbies and I've gone to their streams after the game to say GG to them and then watch the vod. Of course there's times they will say stuff similar to this and call me whatever, but I just see it as a heat of the moment thing most of the time. You can tell if someone is just saying stuff in the heat of the moment and if someone is genuinely being a pos. Had some guy calling me a trash console killer after I had killed them so I didn't even bother saying anything. Most of the time though they're actually really chill and don't mean what they say.
Yeah I understand your point, you're not wrong.
It's just a shame there's BHVR sanctioned content creators who behave like that, people who are meant to set good examples yet they berate their opponents on a frequent basis. It's okay to get a bit heated about frustrating matches but some of the ones I've seen take it a bit too far.
-
It probably will be
Self Preservation is countered by Stridor and it says in the perks that it "hides grunts of pain"
The perk literally lies to you

Sometimes. It's a matter or degree really
You know how a lot of streamers complain whenever a killer or survivor does literally anything
"wow he used dead hard what a blah blah blah"
"wow he's camping me, what a xyz"
-
Would you consider streamers berating and mocking their oppoonents as 'toxic'?
To be honest, I'm gonna stop using that word, it's lost all meaning - I'd refer to people who do that kind of thing as unpleasant and rude people.
-
You're not wrong
-
The only issue with Yui's current model is when viewed from one side, her nose looks really weird, like it wasn't modelled properly on that side
-
Doesn't look right imo
-
Only if it made the hitboxes not the size of a typical fridge
-
This has been a thing for a long time as far as I know
It's just nobody ever did it
-
It is, but let's be real
There's only one side this game benefits
It's the ones who get your wallet 😏
-
I like it. Gives information to Solo survivors that SWF would have
Good suggestion!
-
This reminds me of a funny thing I do against Iridescant button legions
Basically, the addons lets them vault pallets to break them quickly, so if I drop a pallet and the legion tries to break it with frenzy - I just keep vaulting it over and over again and there's nothing they can do about it
Try it sometime
-
Depends on the map, some maps look to have really high temperatures while some like Ormond look really cold so that would affect the body heat of each survivor
-
Ironic because people like that assume anyone who tunnels/camps is doing it because they want the survivor to have a bad time and want to ruin their game experience when the reality is usually nothing close to that
-
Am I the only one who randomly has the urge to fast vault windows just for the satisfying animation?

Freddy has best kill rates on all ranks? And he is still so good, i mean for me Freddy is not changed so much. So those killers you mentioned strong but they are not only killers popular, there is more.
Oni, Freddy, Pyramid Head, Hag... Those killers also strong and i am seeing them so much. And possibly Nemesis will be popular too because he is strong and he is popular character.
My point was that people talk about variety at higher ranks, but a lot of people will always gravitate towards either the 'strongest' killers or the 'strong easiest to play' killers
Even if spirit gets nerfed, it's not going to make people want to play someone weaker all of a sudden, hopefully you get what i mean

No one would complain and we can finally start seeing killer variety in higher ranks besides Blight,Nurse,Huntress,Spirit?
No, it'll just be Blight, Nurse, Huntress, Wraith
Until one of these 4 is put on the chopping block next
Not saying I disagree with your sentiment but there will always be 'meta' killers at the top.
-
You know I miss being able to hear Spirits footsteps while she was phasing
It wasn't much, but for the perceptive survivor it made a difference.
-
Originally I was gonna make a post saying it was only because they could only use things from SAW 1 however upon doing a bit of research that can't be the case - many of Pig's addons reference the later films - John's Last Will and Amanda's letter are the main ones as those are crucial details from later films
There's also the woman in the Gideon Meat Plant map who died from the frozen water thing which is a reference to saw 3
-
People who wear Christmas cosmetics out of season are usually pretty obnoxious
There I said it.

I am going trough them right now.
Youtube is probably like
"This user likes DBD, this user watched a video about Spirit - therefore..." and yeah
It's like when you watch one video from a certain genre, you're flooded with a bunch of other similar videos
-
Did you watch any of the videos on it?
Like, even one?
If not then it might be just because it's a fad right now, youtubes likes those
-

if he leans, he can stalk you and you can't reveal him, this is especially apparent on corn maps
The leaning def breaks it
I find it really unfair that if I see him leaning to expose one of my teammates and I'm stood behind him, I can't reveal him. Should've looked harder I suppose
-
Honestly part of it is the realisation that the developers will probably never rework nurse
They had an oppertunity to rework her power to be more in-line with the rest of the game, they decided not to so as far as I'm concerned it's likely staying the way it is right now permanently even if her power fundementally breaks the game in a few ways.
-
Some content creators are to blame for their behaviour, for sure
But they also have very limited control over their audiences actions, one of the bigger dbd streamers has to go out of their way to dodge TTVers/other streamers because if they do something even slightly obnoxious they'll be bombarded by "fans" who will chastise them for their behaviour
However I feel some content creators are harming the discourse surrounding the game, because some people just parrot what they say, post their videos and don't articulate their own points and thoughts. It's like when people say that X killer is bad then post a video from a content creator and go "that proves it"
I don't really like where the DBD community is at right now with content creators, the recent drama just goes to show.
-
You want Iron Will first and foremost, being broken for 90 seconds is quite a long time being injured and you want to minimize your chances of being caught in a bad spot.
Resillience is a good pick, it'll speed everything up for those 90 seconds
Have Adrenaline for a quick heal once all the gens are done, so if you're still injured at a cruicial time like the endgame - you'll be healthy and ready to make plays
Finally - consider an anti-slugging perk of some kind. If you try to make a FTP play and the killer downs you, they may decide to slug you and go after the person who you just picked up off the floor. In these cases, Unbreakable, Tenacity or Soul Guard will help you recover from this
-
What game would you stream
🤔
-
You know I was convinced that his TR music was just bugged and could be heard from further than it was supposoed to
Deathslinger doesn't have a lullaby and he's miles better than Trickster, wth?
-
As long as people remain injured, they are slowed down
So 1 survivor injured = Everyone slowed by 5%
2 = 10%
3 = 15%
4 = 20%
The more people remain injured, the slower everything is
The counter to it, is healing - which removes the penalty
