The sound that plays when you unbind victor
It sounds like bones snapping and it's so gross. I hate it.
-
The sound of Blight's injector
Not the noise he makes but the actual injection sound
-
Can't wait to try and use this perk only to run into ruin/undying every match
😡
-
Possibly unpopular opinion:
The problem perk is Tinkerer.
Not just for Blight but many killers
I don't run it myself, I run infectious instead
-
Couple of random ones:
- There's music that plays in the RPD in certain rooms, I'm not sure if it's survivor only but it's mainly in the rooms with typewriters (aka save rooms)
- Trickster's chase music apparently used real scream samples like stated in his lore. Don't have a source on this but someone said they were remixing his track and sure enough they heard it
- Myer's chase music actually has 2 variations, I'm not sure when/how they change but it might be when you're being chased in t1/t2 and t3
- The perk 'Infectious fright' makes survivors on your shoulder scream. I find this really funny
- Deathslinger was given an actual lore reason why he's 110% movement speed (he has a bad leg, that's why it's in a brace and he limps)
-
Lack of good competition, luck and big name crossovers
Streamers and content creators do help maintain interest as well, especially when the devs give them free stuff
-
What build are you running with it?

what does having flip flop even mean? xD
I have an uncanny ability to escape the inevitable
Sometimes when I'm dreading having to do something or deal with something, it magically solves itself
-
Pipe dream solution:
Trapper's traps are tinted slightly to match whatever realm he spawns in. Addons just make the tint even more pronounced

I use LB and OoO, something people consider genuinely stupid, and killers are all the time either giving up on me or committing to chases they can't afford because of the distance they give me through all those little moments of hesitation and confusion.
Yeah, I'd say 60 seconds is a bit much. If they truly want to buff it (and this is something that genuinely scares me but would make it far less aggressive) they could shorten the timer to 10-20 seconds but let it recharge by doing a totem or something.
Having it pause while healing would be my idea.
But maybe people could abuse that mid-chase somehow, you know what people are like always figuring out things like that
I think I'll give the perk another shot when I play survivor, you've convinced me.

I'm not exaggerating. Everyone who thinks otherwise genuinely isn't thinking straight.
At its worst, at it's absolute worst, it lets people that can't chase sit on gens. Absolute worst case scenario is free gen time and lots of it. Good survivors can use it to drag out a chase for at least 45 seconds without using any resources except this perk. It is far less situational than any other meta perk, getting plenty value in most trials, and the extremely stupid part is that this one-use perk can be used multiple times.
Do you think 60 seconds would be too good?
I've struggled to get much use out of LB, but that's probably because it's not really for my playstyle - I get chased as much as possible most games.
-
Stalky Boi's pretty good, not sure I like the editing in some of his recent videos though
He's a pretty chill Myers main. He got a merciless killer using BK myers on the game. He has my respect eternally for that
-
The perfect response when people say this kind of stuff in the EGC:
"I did, and I'm not sorry. Deal with it."
That's ofc if you did what you're being accused of. Whether it's you tunnelled someone out because you needed to to win, or you camped someone to stage 2 because their team messed up and so on.
The definition of those words is so warped, there's no real point taking it seriously

100% this. I noticed I started to get infinitely better at chases/looping once I stopped relying on DH. Really made me think about how and why I was running certain ways rather than relying on my second chance to get out of harms way.
Plus, frees up a perk slot for more fun stuff!
My only issue with stopping with using dead hard all together, is quite frankly - Dead Hard is one of few perks that can help you consistantly against some of the strongest killers in the game. Nurse in particular is really painful to go against with no exhaustion perk.

Give us Wesker.

Ugh. I wish they would be a little more thorough with the minute details when they do releases.
It might be left over from testing, idk why they'd leave it out of the patch notes if it was something that's 100% changing
They do work on chapters in advance so it's possible but I hope they leave it at 60. You might be able to get more use out of it when you factor in healing and downtime.
-
It's been shadow buffed on PTB
It's 60 seconds on PTB rn, wasn't in the patch notes
-
Bad survivors don't know how to use Dead Hard though
That being said, relying on dead hard to do well is a detriment to one's skill - I do agree

And one doesnt penalize you for
Devs said they can't prove people intend to suicide on hook
Something like that, if they didn't want people to be able to do it they would remove unhooking yourself or smth like that

Same thing, different method

They are neutral, though. Thing is, "neutral" doesn't mean "completely passive". The rules are applied equally, regardless of any attributes. If I, a bi man, started spouting homophobia, I'd get banned too, because they are neutral and impartial.
Yeah if the mods didn't ban certain members even if they were clearly breaking the rules, that wouldn't be neutral at all
Thankfully I haven't seen anything that proves people get that kind of special treatment around here which is always nice
-
Yeah I don't envy the mods having to deal with this stuff most of the day, can't be easy. Especially for a game as big as DBD where you have tons of messages posted every day. I hope they're taking plenty of time to themselves when they need it
Also, I really hope that last part of RIzzo's post wasn't aimed at me though lol

But a usage cap wouldn't change anything about DH mechanically. The only a cap would do is just punish survivors for being able to survive and make it through multiple chases, as well further limiting their manuel input in chases. More importantly it would just "feel" bad.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228740#Comment_2228740
A automatic feature would just feel really bad, not only would it be annoying for the killer but it would probably just screw the survivor by having it send them into a wall or a completely opposite direction. Plus there would be a lot of jank as to what would "register" as a hit that would connect or not
Well yeah, I don't think it should be changed
But I feel like that's what they'll do if they do decide to change it because:
- It's always going to be an exhaustion perk, meaning it'll always have multi-uses.
- It's always going to allow a survivor to 'tank'/dodge a hit
The only other thing I can think of is removing the I-frames, but that doesn't address DH for distance so
-
@MongolPSR said:
These past few days makes me question how the mods are feeling? Like are they tired? Are they working more than usual. Would they like a warm blanket and some hot cocoa
I'm sure they're used to dealing with repeated threads about the same thing
I mean this is the DBD forum afterall
-
Here's how I think the devs would change it if they had to
They'd make it automatic aka the first time the killer swings at you and if that swing would hit you auto-dead hard.
The only reason they'd do this is to address 'DH for distance' which is what everyone complains about DH for and calls it unfair/no counterplay and so on.

Congrats you missed the point.
"Straight pride" wasn't a thing before gay pride came to be, and exists purely to counter our existence and keep us oppressed. Same as how "All lives matter" exists as a direct counter to "Black lives matter"
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228652#Comment_2228652
We've already had this discussion in a different thread and you accepted our answers. I thought you'd have learned why "straight pride" is harmful and not at all what you think it is from the name but please refer to the other thread to re-educate yourself.
I understood your answers but neither you nor @ImmersedNurse said people who are straight have nothing to be proud of, which is what the person I quoted just now said.
I even said in my post that saying there's no need to be proud makes sense, but saying there's nothing to be proud of isn't a fair assessment. People don't pick their characteristics or orientation.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
‘Straight pride’ isn’t a thing because there is nothing to be proud of, it’s just a way to be homophobia and undermine our experiences. Same as how ‘white pride’ is racist as #########.
Are you saying people shouldn't be proud of who they are just because their orientation happens to be the majority?
That's a really unfair way to put it. It's a characteristic people have no control over, why can't they be proud of it like anyone else can be proud of their characteristics?
Saying there's no need to be proud is one thing, saying there is NOTHING to be proud of isn't a fair assessment at all.
-
Sure
But only if we get Arnie as the survivor (Or Mike from Predator 2, Danny Glover would have 2 characters he played in the same game which would be hilarious)
-
Do the unthinkable
Become the world's first Trickster main
I can see it now -
'TheTricksterIsKing'

Empathy, Flip-Flop and Calm Spirit

Probably the US just due to population numbers and statistics
In Europe, probably the UK or Germany I'd say.
Russia also seems to have a lot of players on EU servers as well, so they are a possible candidate

That's not unusual,unfortunately.
We already had a similiar thread with 30+ pages and the only thing we got from the Community Managers/Devs was the super helpful "We will look into this" type of response :)
Hopefully if we keep bumping/upvoting we'll get somewhere with this
Also on topic, I've noticed performance getting worse with every patch as well - the last few patches in particular if I play for more than like a couple of hours or so it feels like the game gets jittery or something like that.
-
I feel like it's not a great idea to perpetuate and go out of your way to do things like this, because as we all know the cycle usually goes
X has a bad game ---> X decides to do Y and make a bad game for Z ---> Z has a bad game and decides to do Y and it just repeats. It's also not like the people who intentionally go out of their way to do annoying/unfun stuff go against one another, most of the time they will do it to survivors or killers who were just playing normally which then ruins their experience and makes them more inclined to do the same back
If I have a bad killer game, I don't take it out on the next group I come across. It makes no sense to me
-
It was made to stop hatch stand-offs as well as stop survivors from lingering around in the match for as long as they want. Even if survivors choose to not open an exit gate, killers can open one themselves thus forcing the EGC to start
It serves its purpose 100% and is one of the best designed changes they've made
-
Would set a weird precedent about perks being able to actively change the mechanics around a killers power, which I don't believe BHVR wants since they removed things like saboing trappers traps for example.
-
Calling current moris toxic was laughable. The original moris were toxic and the ones we had prior to the recent nerf were still quite bad
Basically nobody uses current moris unless they're doing a daily or achievement hunting
-
Leatherface is actually good on haddonfield for 1 reason
a basement that is always in the middle and is close to gen spawns
If a LF gets one or two people in the basement on haddonfield, good luck getting them out. That can be game over right there
-
Bring back the tagline
It's part of the game's identity
-
Yeah this is why tunnelling someone out early on is so strong as Killer and it's also the reason why DS was and should probably still be a meta perk since it delays killers relying on this tactic
That being said, a 3v1 at say 2 gens isn't unwinnable but it'll be tough
a 3 v 1 at 4 gens is almost impossible though, unless the killer is really bad and commits to one person for so long and that person is a good looper.
-
I wish they'd given us more info on how boon totems will work
Looking forward to this new perk type

I thinking different. I seriously will go Haddonfield, if i can ignore the Game map. Haddonfield is also hard but only houses are safe, on Haddonfield not so much pallets. So with mindgames i can take survivors down. But the Game... Drop pallet and keep run.
To each their own!
I prefer the Game because Haddonfield has giant hedges/fences that you have to walk around. It has buildings full of god windows and its own fair share of very safe pallets. Not to mention Generators are in different countries to one another unless you get lucky

Yes i know reason of so much pallets. But there is really so much pallets. For balance 7 8 of them have to go seriously. Even so bad survivors are playing like pro on this map. Because drop pallet and spam shift + w is not hard. And while you doing this others doing gens. And as killer you have to break pallet because if you wont, survivors will use this pallet again and most pallet god tier. So if you do not break, they will loop you around. I hate that map so much seriously.
I will say from my experience, the killer does have some advantages on this map to a certain degree. Gens are really clustered together for the most part, blood is really easy to see, totems are decently hidden and like someone mentioned there's a lot of deadends you can box survivors into
It's survivor sided though, I don't think that's a point of contention. I'd rather go on Game than Haddonfield

Smart survivors finishing gens before dead zone. And then they escaping safely. Sorry but that is worst map for killer and yes worse than Haddonfield. When i play on this map game is like that:
Chase survivor, break pallet, chase survivor again + break next pallet etc. Break pallet simulator, survivors have so much good pallets on this map and good SWF teams never will lose on this map.
Oh yeah, It's an awful map
But the pallets are basically all the map has, once they're gone that's it.
There's 1 strong window on the whole map which is the machine drop down thing.
That's why I believe the devs put so many pallets everywhere, because survivors would have nothing else otherwise. I'm just making assumptions but it's the only logical explanation I can think of
-
Because there's like 3 windows and nothing else
Once the pallets are gone, 80% of the map is a deadzone
-
You looking for the forum vending machine too?
I still haven't found it, been looking for months.

@Mr_K said:

Creating dead zones is killer 101
Get rid of the pallets on one side of the map where gens are, survivors who get chased off those gens have nowhere to run and boom
