I call this one 'Honourable Samurai Oni'
- Save the Best for Last
- Nemesis
- Enduring
- Rancor
You use your katana most of the game, even when you have your power until you either come across the obsession or someone wrongs you by blinding you/stunning you (Or hell you can include things like tbagging if you want) then you use your power exclusively on them.
"Only a fool would spit in a demon's face and declare victory"

Hope everyone who wants it enjoys it!

Resurgence does seem to be better because you don't have to do anything for it, you're guaranteed to get it whereas Second Wind you have to earn.
I guess looking at the math of it:
Second wind - You need to heal someone for a full health state. Takes roughly 16 seconds or 8 with We'll Make it. Then after unhook you're healed in 20 seconds but you can do things in those 20 seconds. Do gens, bones, and so on
Resurgence - Once unhooked, you can be healed to healthy in 8 seconds by 1 survivor/a brown medkit or 16 seconds with self care

No, it was edited out. The only way to access the link would be on a pc, find the link in a different comment's quote feature, and open it there. Not sure why you'd go to such lengths and then talk about it when it's already been edited out and someone's already said something to me but to each their own.
And humour is subjective. What is funny to me is not necessarily funny to other people.
I wanted some context to what they were talking about, that's why I went looking for it
And yeah humour is subjective but I thought you'd be against making jokes that generalise people based on characteristics out of their control.
Not looking to make a big thing of it since it was dealt with already though

This is the average team. For me at least. But I find survivor much easier than killer. To be honest, this game doesn't really have a high skill cap at all. Killer may be easy, but survivor is a whole nother level of easy.
Most survivors who play with their friends are worse. They're too altruistic, and they are too cocky. Most survivors are hot trash. Idk who told you that most are decent, but either that person is joking or you were lied to.
My point is that killer isn't as hard as people like to claim. This post was meant for people like Lord Tony.
Oh I see your point now, I somewhat agree
Every side has easy games and tough games for sure, It's probably hard for both sides to come away from a match feeling completely satisfied. I know I've got a problem where I doubt my own skill as killer and chalk it up to the survivors being bad
Hopefully not the only one who does this

... I wasn't responding to you. Why do you sound like you're Karu?
Did you forget to switch accounts or something?
Anyways, I clicked the spoiler and found the image. Did they just add a spoiler to the image to hide it?
No I'm agreeing with you
I think the image was uncalled for.
E: I thought it was edited out but I'm not sure it was my bad
-
If this is the 'average survivor team' then killer actually is easy.
Don't get your point? I thought people say this isn't average and that most survivors are decent and/or playing with friends

You thought it was funny because you agreed with it.
I wasn't sure what image you were referring to until I went back and found a link
Not funny & kinda uncalled for actually, seems like a mod edited it out though.

well why would you use distortion when you could use this then
Distortion only hides auras, not location bubbles
The thing I posted wouldn't affect aura reading, only location bubbles
They are 2 seperate things that killers can get.
They both interact with seperate things and don't really overlap.
-
The Game
Pallets are breakable, windows aren't
All the good pallets can go quickly considering the size of the map and how easy it is to pressure survivors as well as box them in
Haddonfield also has the really long fences and hedges you have to physically walk around where as the game doesn't.

Cool idea. But my only gripe is that this would obliterate distortion, so then that would also have to be changed
Ah, no see
Distortion only affects auras
This would only affect perks that give killer the location bubbles - you know like Infectious fright, rancor, iron maiden etc
-
Had a random idea for a rework to this perk, if anyone's interested:
Sole Survivor:
As your friends begin to fall to the killer, you become shrouded in isolation.
Every time another survivor apart from yourself is hooked, gain a token. Anytime your location would be revealed to the killer, consume one token. Your location will not be revealed and you are immune to being revealed for 5/6/7 seconds.
If you are the Obsession, when you are the last survivor in the trial - you permanently lose your scratch marks. You also become the Obsession when all remaining survivors in the trial are sacrificed.
Increases odds of becoming the Obsession
Working idea was that Object is for auras, Sole Survivor would be for 'location' revealing perks and powers like Infectious fright, rancor and so on. I also wanted to add an effect once everyone else was dead to keep with the theme of the perk. Nothing really amazing but just wanted to share!
-
We're so close to a full training mode
All I want is to be able to mess around by myself on any map for some practice

When you say ingame I hope you don't mean in the same match, it's a stated banable offense listed in a section here in the forums, don't ask people to do it.
Alternatively you could just go on customs and pick a map that's got a fixed layout, take two screenshots of them both then overlay them/merge them
I'd do it but I don't have 9000 hours in photoshop yet

Exploiting and breaking single player games is all apart of the fun. That's how things like speedruns came into existance. Obviously, using exploits for fun and exploits to simply beat a game are different but it all depends on the person playing and what they want to get ouf of an experience. It doesn't bother me to the point of frustration but I play games for both fun and challenge, not everyone does the same as I.
However, if I am to play devil's advocate for a moment - I can understand the perspective of people being frustrated at those who cheat their way through a difficult game because they may believe people are robbing themselves of the full experience, the feeling of satisfaction of overcoming a challenge with nothing but your skills and understanding of the game's mechanics. This is why many games have difficulty sliders and so on, so they don't alienate people while also providing that 'intended' experience
Many people feel very strongly that games like Dark Souls or Cuphead shouldn't have difficulty sliders or 'easy modes' because it would subtract from the game's design and intended experience which I do agree with to some extent. The big pay off at the end of those games is knowing that You beat it. You learned, you adapted, you overcame and so on
But I mean, anyone can do anything with game they buy (as long as it's not pvp or w/e ), it's their property and their experience but hopefully my post is somewhat helpful

I'm not going to mark down the lack of 3rd floor, or access to parking garage. It seems like they specifically chose to only do the ground floor and second floor with this map.
That's fair although I doubt including the little library area with the elevator would've been too much. They could've had a gen or totem spawn in there or something. Maybe have it be a basement spawn
-
Also I don't know if you want to count it or not, but they also kept the little area behind the statue in the police station lobby blocked. In RE2 it leads down into the sewer area where you fight Birkin
Also fun fact, music plays if you go near the safe room areas as a survivor
-
The Attics were blocked off/removed as well
Like the one where you first find a licker/the one where you do a certain puzzle.

The best choice is to just leave anything like this out of this type of game. It only leads to something bad like I said.
No, see that's actually the wrong way to look at it
That implies that people who have certain characteristics shouldn't be included because xyz, it implies a level of taboo
The better way to approach it, (IMO) is to just have it and don't act any differently.
Although there's a certain side of the DBD community that the devs have been encouraging recently that I really find distasteful, but it has nothing to do with people's characteristics such as their orientation and so on.

how do you imagine the ban of people purposely looking out for pride charm survivors to kill them exclusively? oh no, he happened to kill pride charm survivors for 5 games in a row, certainly a hate crime.
They probably won't ban people for simply tunnelling people, i doubt they even have data on what charms survivors are wearing
Now if the people tunnelling also spout a bunch of stuff in the endgame chat, they will probably get banned for that instead.
-
A general characteristic of the internet in general is that when you're open about yourself and something that's out of your control but are proud of some people will use it as an oppertunity to put you down to feel better about themselves and how 'better' they are.
Personally, I'm optimistic this won't happen too often - Players in this game can be outright bad sometimes but from my experience its usually just because they're mad at dbd. Sometimes it goes past that, of course.
I wonder if anyone's ever been tunnelled for running the pineapple pizza charm though.
-
The sound is a bit more subtle and the effect is a lot cooler
But it's basically a reskinned firecracker
Fun to use though, def gonna be using it to try and mess with killers

Complaining about Bamboozle implies that.
Again, all I said was bamboozle on wraith is annoying because of his high mobility and addons that let him vault basically instantly
I don't see how that's me going "yeah the game needs to be nothing but running in circles"
-
The mob mentaltiy thing comes from people essentially believing 'if streamer says x then it's 100% factually correct'
They take a video of Otz or Tru3 playing a killer and losing then say something like 'This is the problem with dbd, this is why clown sucks' and so on. Or they take a video of someone winning a billion killer matches and say 'this is why the game is killer sided' or whatever
It's not all bad, I mean - Otz's tier list brought some more attention to Hag I think, because he put her so high up. It doesn't mean he's 100% factually correct but yeah
Personally I had an issue with the whole j-flick situation where a blight main streamer made a video defending it even though if you ask me the video was reiterating what had already been said, but a bunch of people took it as fact.

Let me simplify:
Wraith is mid tier at best.
Bamboozle is a pathetic perk to complain about.
Play the game for more than 8 hours before giving anecdotes.
:)
You drew a lot of assumptions from a couple of opinions on a thread, the most impressive of which is assuming I only have 8 hours which if were the case I doubt I'd be as interested in engaging with people who can't formulate a decent response such as yourself
I appreciate the attempt though, the smiley face at the end really brings home the point
Have a nice day.

Wow almost everyone finds Oni fun. Not me though.
A good power with counterplay, an insanely intense chase theme and that feeling of dread you get when you hear the little 'He has his power' sound que
What don't you find enjoyable about him? The slugging thing? I can get it if that's why, being slugged in general isn't that fun

I enjoy going against Oni and Myers quite a bit

To be fair i cant spend 40-50 seconds to down you sorry with how this game works ill lose gens pretty quickly.
Again I didn't at all say the strat wasn't effective or time efficient, that wasn't the point of my post.
I provided a reason why people think it's frustrating and/or boring. I also mentioned the problem of overexposure where you keep facing the same thing over and over again which in wraith's case applies to me personally given how on some days like 50% of my games are vs a wraith doing the stuff I mentioned previously

I don't like reducing things to sides, but:
This is an incredibly survivor sided comment. Running around in circles isn't interesting for the killer.
Any number of survivor perks are 'no you don't get to play the game perks' to a degree that bamboozle doesn't even get close to. Blocking 1 window for a short period of time is no where near as bad as successfully mindgaming a survivor only to have them dead hard out of a well earnt hit and extending the chase indefinitely. Bamboozle isn't even meta lol.
Hit and run gameplay is generally more rewarding for the killers who can get away with it and it doesn't eliminate the ability to play well on the survivors part.
You don't want to reduce things to sides yet you do just that.
The thread is talking about why people are saying wraith is unfun and why people are complaining, so I gave an anecdote based on my personal experiences as to why that might be.
Also, I never even said bamboozle was meta, I said it was annoying and not fun to go against when paired with Wraith's mobility and addons and that lots of wraiths are running it (Which they are)
Actually baffled that you take someone's personal opinion and try to discount it as 'survivor sided comment'.
I don't see how it's survivor sided to criticise a style of gameplay that I don't find enjoyable.

I guess I can understand that but sometimes if a survivor does get hit and use their speed burst to go to a strong area, the smart thing for the Wraith to do is to not commit to that.
Again it might just be a problem of overexposure
If you face like 8 wraiths back to back and they all are running stuff like bamboozle, windstorm shadow dance and they don't really commit to chases they just spam cloak/uncloak all game - frustration is likely going to set in. That's what happened with me, at least
I don't mind facing any killer for the most part but if I faced one certain killer 8 times in a row, I doubt anyone would blame me for being sick of it.
-
My main complaint about wraith isn't the killer himself, it's how people are playing him
They rarely commit to chases and it just robs survivors of the fun part of the game most of the time. That's not a wraith exclusive problem but that's probably why people have started calling him boring
Not to mention the amount of bamboozle using wraiths I've seen. Basically "no you don't get to play the game"
-
Does anyone else feel like Corrupt is slightly overrated?
Just to clarify, I don't think it's bad - I'm just of the opinion it's not as good as people make it out to be
-
I really hope they don't have a streamer hosting it like they hinted at in the last survey
Got nothing against streamers in general but they shouldn't do BHVR's job for them
-
How.

The cages are seen in the games i'm pretty sure, I believe there's enemies put in them and so on. They are a big part of the 'Otherworld' which is basically where all the monsters, rust and so on resides.
I believe the 'Trail' is meant to be PH's knife cutting a hole to the Otherworld, since it's described as an 'Infernal construct' in the power description
As for the wave attack, the symbols come from the games as well I believe but the attack is likely BHVR's own creation as I don't believe it's an attack the executioner uses in any of the games. It's likely him calling upon the Otherworld with his knife
-
Yoo they're porting DBD to the 3DS?
Nice

"Quickie" is sometimes used as a sexual term. I won't describe it here (we have rules, you know), but just know that there was an actual reason.
Oh I'm well aware
I just thought it was really funny that the filter picked it up because it's not exactly an explicit slur or otherwise derogatory word. It's the word quick with two letters on the end of it
-
A streamer tried to say 'This match was a quickie' and it censored quickie
I don't know why I found it really hilarious
-
Use power to quickly injure survivor
Are there survivors really close by? If so, go stab them too. If not, cancel power and chase normally
Survivors are less likely to play cocky when injured (Even with dead hard) so bring Enduring to help deal with those pesky pallets
Also use his tracking to find survivors who are dead on hook/the weak links and focus them down
