From my experience, Ormond is probably D tier because of the various bugged structures that you can slide off in the same vein as the swamp maps
It's not all awful though
Coal Tower should also probably be in S tier due to it being the smallest map in the game and being relatively open
-
Have to say that this is with the soda and usb drive addons
WIthout them, he is probably D tier.
I don't hate him as much as I used to at least. :)
-
His detection mechanic needs improving, he shouldn't be able to stand in the open and keep rapidly crouching and remain completely undetected, not to mention sometimes he can fill up like 50% of your screen and it still doesn't work properly.
His addons are also really bad, he has quite literally 3/4 good ones
-
The last few gens take a lot longer when someone is out of the game, which if you play well and not too fair - should be around the time there's like two gens left. From there, you can snowball and usually win
That's obviously implying hexes are cleansed, games where things like ruin stay up all game is how killers can win at like 4 gens

i'm just not understanding where you're coming from here.
the pig has a thing that autokills me if i don't run around doing boxes. she can see me doing it. which means i'm an easy slugging target. which means the thing that's autokilling me isn't going to kill me because it gets disabled as soon as she looks at me. so there's no point to her putting it on me in the first place because her playstyle is to tunnel and slug people out of the game? which means there's no point in her playing pig in the first place because she's not making the most of her strengths and is actually just kind of mashing her weapon and power at survivors indiscriminately.
which, yeah, it sounds like a bad game. and i'm sorry you had a bad game against a bad pig. but does her whole concept need to be changed because people who don't understand the nuance of the game are using her in, arguably, the least effective way possible? when she's not doing anything that can't be done on, say, doctor? or legion? or anyone else that's good at locating survivors?
This wasn't just 'one bad game' this is a pattern I see with the many pig players I've come across.
The RNG aspect of her power is simply unenjoyable and I can't think of a single way it's healthy for the game. Especially when you consider things like addons and map offerings.
I'm not saying she's strong, though. Just extremely irritating and not fun to play against

ok... but that's just an unfun playstyle that isn't specific to pig. every killer can do that.
Yeah but the difference is other killers don't have a thing that will auto-kill you if you don't go around and do boxes
Which the pig can see
Which means you're an extremely easy slugging target
It's not the case of "well just don't do the boxes/don't do the ones close to the killer" when RNG will dictate whether or not you can even do that.

can't count the number of times i've had a trap, a gen's popped, and i've gotten it off just fine.
can count the number of times i've died to a trap. because the number is 0.
honestly, don't be afraid of the pig after you've been trapped. she's not coming for you. if she is, she's dumb, because the timer's gonna stop any time you're not capable of taking the trap off.
A lot of pig players usually don't care that you have a trap, they'll go back to the hook and slug you straight off the hook then chase your teammates
And they'll keep slugging you until they re-hook you or you've wasted too much time on boxes

Like I said in my post, when it's ruin I get it otherwise don't pop.
I mean I get your frustration, I don't like going against Pig either because her power punishes you for your teammates playing correctly (aka doing the gens) which annoys me to no end. Couple that with the box RNG, ridiculous addons and a somewhat scummy playstyle from a lot of pig mains and you've got all the reasons I hate the pig on a fundemental level
I think her power needs changing, but that's my opinion
-
Most pigs run ruin and bbq/other tracking perks
You can't 99 gens against ruin
Once you're trapped and hooked, they are bee-lining straight for others on gens
-
She is the best female survivor for sure
-
I won't be annoyed as long as they don't stay silent about it and they let us know if he's going to stay as is or if he's going to be changed further
-
I wonder when we'll get an official statement about this
I'm curious to see what Mclean/The other developers think about it

Yeah. Tunneling to me is like going after the same person that just got off the hook while ignoring everything else that is/might be going on. Face-camping is well I don't think i need to explain that one do I.
What bothers me is how much of a taboo some people make out certain things to be
Like camping all game round is unpleasant, but it's not the same as a killer camping someone to death when all the gens are done and both exit gates being far away
I don't know if it's entitlement or what but when people treat them like they are the same thing, it bothers me

I think of it in a logical way.
I, myself, know some medical knowledge. I spent a lot of my football career helping my friends with injuries. But who are you going to listen to, me who has maybe 200 hours of actual experience in medicine or a doctor who has put YEARS into the practice.
It's the doctor, no question. He has experience and knowledge that someone with my experience level doesn't have. I know some basic things, and they are likely somewhat correct, but the person who spent a decade learning this stuff probably has a better understanding of how to help.
That's how I look at it.
Doesn't help that a lot of people can't really agree on the definitions of what things like 'Tunnelling' and 'Camping' actually are
They've become vague umbrella-terms
-
A lot of experienced wraiths try to spend as much time as possible in cloak and using the uncloak speed boost to hit you in loops
Sometimes pre-dropping a pallet or leaving a loop through a window is the best idea. Alternatively, you could try counter looping him to mitigate the speed-boost but it's risky
-
Something worth pointing out, the developers actually did make a change to decrease the chances of someone being tunnelled - they made it so there is always an obsession every match
You might not think it's a big deal, but it really makes a huge difference and they must've realised after the DS nerf - Some Killers must've went straight to hard tunnelling when there was no obsession (Some people did it anyway)
-
Congrats, well done
have the forums changed much over the years do you think?
-
I'll usually say "Good chases, [Killer/Survivor name here]" when I feel like they genuinely outplayed me or if I outplayed them
Chases are the best part of the game and make for the most memorable experiences
-
Seems like the nerf dissuaded people from picking him as often in my experience, I've seen less freddies the past month then at basically any point after his rework
I have a theory that many people played him for his easy kit and slowdown addons and since all the addons are gone, all they are left with is their own chase skill and perks
more people seem to also pick pallet freddy now, from the ones that I have faced recently
-
We need a perk called 'Heat of the moment'
-
I'm running the Blue Blight from the Rift with the P3 weapon
Not much to say other than I like the darker blue
-
Corrupt is a double-edged sword for the killer
Sometimes the only survivors they'll find will be around those gens and committing to those chases will effectively mean they didn't stop gens being done elsewhere, ideally you want to chase survivors into other survivors doing gens and that can't happen if they are blocked
Not only that, but Corrupt can actively encourage survivors to not three gen themselves - Let's say you get a big map and you spawn in the middle and the three furthest gens from you are in 3 different corners, if survivors do the other gens and leave the corrupted ones until last you will have an extremely tough endgame if they aren't dead by then
I don't run corrupt, I feel like it encourages bad habits and makes the early game boring - If I know where survivors are gonna be (Which with experience/perks, you typically will) then you don't really need it
Not saying it's a bad perk, it's just a bad perk for me.
-
Got another one for you
Can we get rid of the 'm1 depletes feral frenzy' thing as well
It's an archaic leftover from old legion, there's no reason why legion should be punished for simply m1ing a survivor considering they need to m1 to down survivors in the first place
-
Camraderie
No, really - it extends your stage two timer which means the killer's gonna have to waste even more time camping you to death if they're really committing to it
Only problem is it requires teammates to get close for it to trigger
-
It should be "Hit 4 survivors with Punishment of the Damned"
I feel your pain
Imagine if Demo's daily was "Hit 4 survivors after recently exiting a portal" I don't think I'd even bother.
-
If I suddenly don't want to play the killer I picked
Sometimes I'll think I wanna play something then I'll go "actually nevermind, not feeling it" then go play someone else
-
They likely won't touch his basekit anymore, they will probably just nerf his windstorm addons and swap around some rarities here and there
-
Have fun, he's a blast

I can confirm the 90 + 90 is easily doable at 800 DPI, which is the lowest DPI my mouse can go.
This seems fine, especially because this was a deliberate change that put both platforms on a somewhat even playing field which will make it much easier to balance if they feel like he is too strong or in other cases, too weak.
I'm glad it was addressed in some capacity either way, puts a pin in the whole exploit discussion for me.
-
I said a few times, if they took the time to adjust and make it something everyone can do without messing with macros/DPI + they took the time to balance it then I'd be fine with it
If that's what they've done then I'm good with it.
-
Yeah it's def his Felix's Seoul Outfit since it has the shades
Damn.
-
The hat sorta looks like a recolour of this:
But he also looks like he's wearing shades as well and the jacket looks like Felix's bomber jacket.
Weird

I don't care at all.
I'm too excited to see how he's gonna play on console now.
I and many other console players had to wait over half a year to play this character.
How long until we see 'BlightWantsYourMacaroni'
-
I've also seen this bug, it has something to do with hitting stage 2 but still having the ability to struggle
It was also only recently caused
-
Not only was it fixed, but they added something for our console friends
That's a win win

I don't really ever use add-ons or Stridor. My main Spirit build is a Hex build. I'm not even that good a Spirit, at least compared to my Nurse or Blight gameplay. And I still think she's crazy oppressive.
Oh yeah I mean, she still has all of her strengths and everything but at least with no stridor there's a possibility of Iron will being in play + no addons means slower recharge and so on.
I don't think most spirits play addonless, they usually run movement speed and activation charge ones
-
Haven't read the whole thread so forgive me
But you could just play her addonless without stridor and while she's still powerful, she's not like crazily oppressive
Or you could use brown addons if you want to
-
I do not like Grim Pantry
The layout is almost always the same and it's usually deadzone city
-
Put on the barb's glasses and black heart addons and get to shredding
Long have we waited
-
Get you some of these
-
Oni
Good players won't play cocky around an Oni. Bodyblocking actually benefits him more than any other killer
-
Made less people play him from my experience
I used to see a freddy every 1/5 games, now it's like 1/15
-
I love wraith at the moment, mobility is always something a lot of killers struggle with and having that windstorm base speed with addons is so good. Throw in the bone clapper and some good perks and he's a whole lot of fun
Not that old wraith was bad, but feeling required to run windstorm was a bit annoying when all of his addons are good and interesting.
-
That's exactly why, yeah
We haven't had a 'new' map since Pyramid Head (last year's 4 year anniversary chapter) since then we've had Blight, Twins and now Trickster all without maps. Just map reworks instead
If there's no map with the upcoming RE chapter, I think BHVR will have lost the plot - it's basically guaranteed.

Old Balanced Landing.
I miss it, but at the same time - I'm glad it's gone.
-
I believe it means have them take 'Sickness damage' aka when they become fully infected while healthy
My advice for this would be to bring an apple addon and an effectiveness addon - maybe thanaphobia as well; you want them to cleanse so you can do this
It might take a few tries but eventually you'll find some survivors that cleanse like mad and you'll be golden
-
Do it with keys instead
Flashlights aren't even good

Normally it doesn't bother be. But when I think I've had a good match, check the vod and they're insulting me all game kinda takes the wind out of you. It would be like that for a lot of people I'd imagine. That's one of the reasons I'd love a blacklist function. Weather it's a streamer or not there's people you know from the game that you just don't want to play with on either side. Slap that steam ID and never get matched with them again.
I understand your issue here, I've had some bitter experiences with streamers too - namely killer streamers. People who think it's okay for killers to berate survivors/make fun of their mistakes but don't like it when it's done to them and so on.
The devs have said they're not gonna implement a blacklist feature though, something to do with matchmaking times/people would abuse it to blacklist people that are better than them and so on.
If you ask me both sides has its share of you-know-what heads. Best to just try and not think the worst of people if you can; some people are just unpleasant and can't take losing.
