Need some perk synergy advice

What do you guys run with the perk

For The People

Im trying to think of a good build for it, but I’m struggling to come up with something interesting that has synergy.

  • There are a few things worth to consider:

1.) For you to be able to use FTP, you need to find another one downed or injured. So you could run Empathy to find injured ppl. Or you can also go for unhooks, but thats riskier. Kindred and/or BT would help there. Or take After Care and hope to not be found, you so can see all three without limits.

2.) If you want to use FTP more often, you need to heal quite a bit. I found Inner Strength helping a lot there, so you can hop into a locker as sson as you are no longer broken. You might need something to find totem , though, so small game might be useful as well. Alternatiely, you could run Bond to find others to heal you. Or you equip Self Care + Botany and take a medkit with you.

3.) You do not want to be found by the killer if possible, since they will injure you, so you cannot use FTP. So it might also be useful to take something for Stealth with you, e.g. Spine Chill to get a head start.

Personally, I would probably run FTP, Empathy, Small Game and Inner Strength.

  • You want Iron Will first and foremost, being broken for 90 seconds is quite a long time being injured and you want to minimize your chances of being caught in a bad spot.

Resillience is a good pick, it'll speed everything up for those 90 seconds

Have Adrenaline for a quick heal once all the gens are done, so if you're still injured at a cruicial time like the endgame - you'll be healthy and ready to make plays

Finally - consider an anti-slugging perk of some kind. If you try to make a FTP play and the killer downs you, they may decide to slug you and go after the person who you just picked up off the floor. In these cases, Unbreakable, Tenacity or Soul Guard will help you recover from this

  • I'll post in 2 halves one for letting you come up with your own answer but giving some suggestions and a 2nd half just giving you some builds

For the people requires an injured survivor or downed survivor so having perks that let you know where those survivors are or better help you find them make good synergy

1st category are perks that help you find survivors, Perks like kindred, bond, aftercare, empathy, buckle up (since you can measure the situation better its actually pretty good) and blood pact can all help you find other survivors, but don't forget you can also use items to help you find other survivors as keys have token addons that let you see survivors within 24 and 48 while channeling and the wedding ring addon that always lets you see the obsession

2nd category are perks that help you out while injured, Perks that synergize with you being injured are also good because they counteract the kickback of using for the people, iron will, dead hard, lucky break, off the record, resilience, all of these perks can help you stay strong while injured and reduce how exposed you are by using for the people

3rd category are perks that help you get back in the game after for the peoples broken effect fades, inner strength, (soon to be) resurgence, solidarity, leader, blood pact, and other perks/items that help you find survivors again all help fit this role since you can better get healed again and have for the people ready to use again

Alright with that wall of text here are 3 unique builds for using FTP

Iron will, Dead hard, For the People, Inner Strength, takes full advantage of being injured but you can get healed right after the effect ends since you can pocket a use of inner strength

For the people, Baby sitter, Lucky Break, Iron will, save a teamate off hook and both disappear as the killer would have no scratch marks or sound on you for 45 seconds, and the survivor off hook will have some time to run with no scratch marks and healthy to go along with it, perfect for taking pressure off a teammate and throwing the killer for a loop

and finally a build that requires too much elbow grease but when it works it just works

Mettle of man, For the people, Borrowed Time, Botany knowledge (+medkit with at least 36 charges yellow medkit + 12 charge addon) when used right you leave the hook with you having 2 health states and the unhooked survivor having 3 health states perfect for anti camping and making a good getaway

  • When I run For the People I usually run it with Dead Hard, Tenacity, and Self Care, usually with a medkit.

  • I was kind of leaning towards this build, especially after some of yalls suggestions, just not 100% on the fourth perk.

    FTP

    Inner Strength

    Lucky Break

    ?????

I never have trouble finding injured survivors, so bond or empathy are not ideal. Kind of thinking Iron Will, Resilience, or Self Care.

  • I know, inner strength and self care is dumb. I’m debating those two for the same slot

  • For The People is best used to get a survivor up in a pinch, so Dead Hard would compliment it well to keep yourself safe while doing it. Since you are going to be injured most of the match Iron Will and Resilience are also pretty good choices to bring along.

I would remove Lucky Break, you'll use the full timer after doing one FTP. Then, you'll have a dead perk.

I would go for FTP, Inner Strengh, Iron Will and Resilience.

But if you really want to run Lucky Break, take Iron Will then. Killer not seeing your blood nor your scratch mark, but still hearing you? They'll find you easily.

  • I know a for the people build.

    For The People

    Dead Hard

    Self Care

    Desperate Measures

I have used this build and it is fun.

  • You could throw on deliverance. Save somebody then heal them with for the people. Even if you go down the broken penalty of using deliverance is redundant.

  • Obviously you want stuff to heal yourself with since you need to be healthy in order to be able to use FTP at all. So Self-Care, Inner Strength, a Med-Kit.

Bond, Empathy and Aftercare allow you to position close to chases. You obviously don't want to trail after the killer because that way you would be wasting much more time than FTP even in the absolute best-case scenario could make up for; these perks however allow you to try and work on objectives closer to chases, or at the least to know when chases are happening close enough to you that you can potentially intervene. Aftercare is particularly neat with FTP because not only does healing someone with FTP activate Aftercare's effect, but given that the other survivor can then see you too, they can play in ways to benefit from your FTP if they are smart.

The best times to FTP someone in chases are if they got downed behind a pallet or window, as in those scenarios you both have the possibility of making distance while the killer breaks the pallet or vaults the window or goes around them. But if the survivor that is being chased has more hook progress than you, it can also be beneficial to try and get them back up even at the cost of you going down for it. Since in those cases it is not seldom that the killer will slug you to tunnel the other survivor, Tenacity and/or Unbreakable are further synergies for FTP. I would say Tenacity is the better synergy since it is more common that the killer will slug you for just a brief moment in these scenarios, which the increased crawling speed can allow you to use and lose the killer. Soul Guard is worth mentioning, but only really if you are playing with friends so that you can all be using FTP plus Soul Guard.

Dead Hard can allow you to try and dodge a hit in these scenarios, so as to perhaps not go down yourself after healing someone else up.

With Resilience you get a small benefit while being injured due to FTP, and it also makes self-heals a little faster. This perk is neat with FTP because it gives you at least some sort of upside when using FTP on someone that is not in imminent danger, merely to heal them faster.

Deliverance can be a possible sort-of-synergy. You unhook someone and FTP them to protect them from being downed again instantly (which also helps your Deliverance activate in the first place), and then if the killer downs you instead you get to unhook yourself and the Broken timers of both perks overlap.

I'd suggest you just mix and match any combination of these things. Best to bring a Med-Kit instead of healing perks, to have more slots.

  • ruin, tinkerer and undying

    Haha

  • A very tough perk, but fair play to you for helping the team with it! First up bring:

Iron will (you will grunt in pain as you are giving the person your hp, best make no noise)

bond/kindred (its good to keep tabs on your team) **(tradeable for dead hard)**

Inner strength. (You will need to replenish the health you lost. The primary focus is always gens, don't have the team get in the habit of becoming too altruistic.)

  • The build I run with For The People is:

Empathy (so I know where my injured teammates are and can prepare to save them if they go down).

Resilience (to speed up my actions when I'm broken after using the perk).

We'll Make It (because my build is based and healing and saving people).

This is not the best build it could be. If you want the build to be more useful overall than an exhaustion perk could be ran in We'll Make It's place or Iron Will so you're quiet when broken and can hide.
