  • I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that she was aware of what he was doing since he was really sloppy and didn't cover his tracks. I think in the current tome it's mentioned that she placed a tracking device on him so she knew where he was at all times or something like that

  • I made a thread earlier as a guide regarding cheaters and such

I wish there was more proactive things we could do as a community to help solve this issue since the developers aren't breaking their silence surrounding the issue, for one reason or another.

  • I love Ormond after it's visual rework

I love the windy snowy atmosphere, with the wind constantly changing direction and the snow crunching sounds when you traverse it

It's one of the most visually stunning maps I think! The gameplay's also not as bad as it used to be. It's still tough for killer due to it being a big map but I have fun with it!

  • I wanted to get a lot of playtime with the system before coming to my conclusion and after many many many games, I have decided that in my opinion - MMR is not a good addition.

Now, I have a lot of hours in this game and I would consider myself experienced but I wouldn't call myself 'good' but I always tried to have a good time win or lose by doing other things in the match; be it sacrificing myself so people get out, altruism, running meme builds so on and so forth but all of it just feels pointless when the game grades my 'skill' by if I escape or if I die. It makes doing anything other than holding M1 and dragging out chases as much as possible the only way to be 'good' at this game

Why care? You might ask - well I often find that when I try to have fun by running off-meta perks, or by not focusing on gens when I'm not being chased the game punishes me heavily for it.

MMR makes Altruism feel almost pointless, many many times I've tried to be altruistic - I die and the system goes "welp u died guess you're bad lol"

Even then I still get put with Blight/Nurse players who burn Macmillan offerings EVERY single game, who run the best addons, 4 slowdowns and play like it's a tournament. It's akin to 4 man SWFs burning Badham and bringing 4 strong medkits and 4 meta perks. Those two SHOULD be facing each other but they don't.

I'm not gonna throw tons and tons of games just to drop my MMR or make smurf accounts like some people are doing, that's pathetic.

  • As someone who despised trickster as a character on release, I actually came to appreciate his power and design over the months. Especially after I tried him out for myself, his power is fun if nothing else

I wish he had more to him, like - he's an 110% man countered by turning corners. At least the other 110%s have more going for them to make up for their weaknesses. Trickster doesn't, apart from being oppressive in open areas and good at camping but - why play Trickster for that when you can play Bubba who's that + more

  • Facecamp/Tunnel one dude to death

What are good survivors going to do when they see this happening? Gens

But then you have noed :^)

Takes 0 skill to do this and I'm seeing a lot of killers do it because it's the easiest and most rewarding way to play. Don't have to care about gens, just camp and tunnel one dude right away then get rewarded by NOED. Yes, NOED isn't a 'reward' but it allows you to play in such a manner that it basically is

The "just do bones" argument would hold ground if the killer is playing 'normally' but killers with noed don't play normally

The amount of survivors that don't boop the snoot is depressing.

Because it's a forced and unfunny meme (Shirtless felix is worse though, worst meme to ever come out of this community)

It gives people the false impression that pig players are haha wholesome memelords

when in reality that's far from the truth

  • Imagine if there was some bug with nurse that made her unplayable (More than usual at least) and they had a developer note in some hotfix saying like: "Nurse has been killswitched until we fix a specific issue. Rejoice Survivor mains!"

This is just really bad communication

  • Once again, the community managers responsible for giving information to the community has said something dumb

Whatever happened to Not Queen's way of thinking, not seeing the game as 'Survivor mains' and 'Killer mains'? Whether the little remark is meant to be a joke is besides the point. First the "wraith is a wee bit OP" thing and now this

    Not impressed

    • Already changed that.
    • I have no idea, I can try to test this.
    • NOED can only trigger as the final gen pops. If there is no available totem, it will not proc, even if one becomes available afterwards.

    Many thanks

  • There's some inconsistancies I want to mention/ask about

    • Blessing a Haunted Grounds totem does indeed trigger it
    • Does snuffing a blessed totem refund the missing Thrill stack?
    • Can someone remind me how NOED works with Boons, if you snuff a Boon and all the gens are already done, does NOED not trigger?
  • The techs aren't the issue, if you ask me

It's three of his addons: Alchemist ring & The two movement speed addons

It gets to a point where Blight moves so fast it's too difficult to react or make any kind of plays and then once he hits you, he has his power instantly and can do it again. Imagine if Nurse had an addon that if she lands a successful blink attack, she has 2 blinks again instantly

    that ain't right

  • Your right hand comes off?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/291340/bubba-s-blackface-cosmetic-needs-to-be-removed

Do you have proof that people are targeting?

Even if Bubba players were "targeting the black characters," him wearing Claudette's skin as a mask is not blackface.

There's a clip of someone wearing the mask facecamping a streamer then saying in the post game chat

"I don't like..." you can guess the rest. It's on someone's twitter by the name of 'thesistakaren' you can look it up, I'm sure you'll find it

imo I feel like removing the mask isn't going to stop people from doing what they did. The only thing that will is them being reported & banned but BHVR's notoriously slow when it comes to banning people, look at the cheaters.

  • Slinger

Billy remained the same fundementally, he just has useless addons and an annoying gimmick to keep tabs on (Overheat)

Slinger on the other hand had his main playstyle gutted + his stealth removed

  • Nemesis can break pallets before they're even fully dropped. He's 100% the best pallet eater in the game

  • See, I love that Bubba got buffed and is actually a pretty solid killer now

But I hate how it just made camping as him even easier. If a Bubba wants to facecamp someone there is 0 recourse other than doing gens. All he needs is 1 down and he can guarantee that kill.

Camping is needed sometimes, but players who set out to camp someone to death from the very start need some form of counterplay if it's a killer like Bubba who ignores one of the only perks that help (BT)

  • I think Jake's face should be removed as well then.

If members of the DBD community cannot be trusted with a character that has masks that depict POC then it should just stay as Dwight/Meg and nobody else and if people really believe it should be changed then it should be applied to both.

  • One thing I wanna point out about the Antidote bottle:

Supposedly it does raise his movement speed by 10%, but not to 125% instead it's 10% of 115 which brings his movement speed up to 126.5%

With your change, the bottle would bring clown up to: 132.25% speed

  • If you wanted to make a change that would really change how the game is played, then imagine what the game would be like if no killer had a terror radius

  • Red stain helps the killer more than the survivor though

Survivors who can't see the redstain at all are more likely to play super safe, aka pre-dropping and holding W. Where's the fun in that

  • Actually it's lawrence gordon, i just looked up a screenshot of it and he's wearing the same clothes as him/has the same hair as him

I guess it's meant to just be a nod to the film rather than a canonical thing

Leave Slow-Man Jeff outta this man he tried his best

They don't call him Slow ass mother f'in jeff for nothing

  • The 2 specific bodies you can find in Gideon's Meat Plant

One is the woman who was frozen to death in SAW III because Jeff is slow

And the other I believe is meant to be the body of the dude in the first film who's name escapes me. Either that or It's meant to be Dr. Lawrence Gordon even though I don't think he died (?)

  • Original!

I'm hoping it's either a follow up on the vampire looking character from the tome or a follow up on the spider-looking thing from the tome.

    Both would be really cool!

  • The only thing current Gideon is good for is completing pallet rift challenges

    Or Playing Nemesis/Pyramid Head

This would be the ideal Rework - less safe Pallets and more Windows. However, this did not happen with the graphical Update, so I doubt it will ever happen. The Game was always one of the most boring Maps in the game, as Survivor you just run around safe Pallets (which every donkey can do) and as Killer you just follow a Survivor while destroying dropped Pallets. Interesting games with Windows are not possible for either side.

However, what they could do - remove all breakable Walls and the Pallets they added to compensate for them. There are so many Pallets because some of them are not useable, because they are Deadends due to breakable Walls. So unless the Wall is broken (which will never happen) or the respective Gen is done, those Pallets are useless, so they added more to compensate for that.

And IMO, The Game is clearly a Map which does not need any breakable Wall.

Yeah honestly if I was the big map designer dude/dudette I'd probably:

    • Remove the guaranteed pallet that spawns in the big machine drop down to make that window a risk/reward
    • Add more windows/filler tiles upstairs. Currently only jungle gyms/L Wall T wall tiles can spawn downstairs
    • Make only 1 pallet spawn in the surveillance room, it can be one or the other making the room less of a massive time stink for killer
    • Leave the 2 pallets by the basement, while they're annoying I think if the basements location is fixed I think those pallets should stay too
    • Limit the amount of those god pallets that completely block the killers path
    • Make the hook spawns better, they are terrible overalll
    • Leave some breakable walls only for the gen doors. The whole deadend thing is part of the maps gimmick and I think its mostly okay.
    • Less pallets overall
  • This just goes to show how clueless BHVR really are.

It's Gideon's MEAT plant not Gideon's PALLET plant

Jokes aside, They could probably remove a decent chunk of pallets and the map would still have plenty to work with. It just needs less pallets and a few more windows to play around then it's mostly fine if you ask me.

Fine by me, but FYI several Rift challenges are behind DLC content. There’s one in the Midnight Grove Rift for blessing two totems in one trial.

    Ah yeah

I more so meant the generic challenges that you need to do in order to proceed through the page

  • Pig

Certain streamers and players have ruined this character for me.

  • I run it purely for the factor of buying my teammates more time if the killer decides to camp me to death. I also like imagining the look on the Killer's face when I'm still on 2nd stage after so long

You can kill me, but you're gonna have to wait an extra 34 seconds sorry :^)

  • From now on, if anyone makes fun of me

    I'll sandbag them

    JUST LIKE THAT.

  • yeah green medkits are bugged right now somehow

I made a bug report on it a few days ago, sad it wasn't fixed in the hotfix

  • Just like giving my opinion on random things and weighing in on the drama of the day

Also like helping people out from time to time!

  • Again, I'm not encouraging anyone to disconnect here (Seriously don't) but...

It does feel great to see a blatant cheater, DC and give them some choice words in the endgame chat and move onto the next one. 😇

  • Also I do want to drop a criticism here:

The Community Managers/whoever is in charge of delivering information to people really needs to learn how to better communicate changes to the community.

Prime example is when they called wraith overpowered, even IF that's what the balance team genuinely believed (Which it may be, I don't know), that is not how you word making changes to him. That just makes it look like they saw the complaints about wraith and went "welp he's OP, let's change him a bit again".

So, when someone can climb onto a surface they're not supposed to be on, say a rock, that would be considered 'nerfing' the rock? Not fixing something that is broken?

Let me put it this way:

Keys were in the game, and the developers intended for people to do what they were able to do with them, so when those things are changed - it's a nerf. Hell, they did more than nerf keys they also made it so only 1 survivor can ever escape through the hatch period.

People being able to climb on geometry that they quite clearly aren't supposed to, is a bug because if they wanted people to be able to climb on that geometry or whatever then they would make it clear by putting a ramp or something like that.

This is really arguing semantics and I'm not sure why. Keys were unbalanced and 'broken' but that was by design, not because of a bug.

  • @FellowKillerMain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2593207#Comment_2593207

Sometimes 'broken' in reference to a game mechanic is referencing that it functions so poorly that it breaks the rest of the game's intended functionality. In the case of the hatch, in certain circumstances, it rewarded survivors for failure, and punished the killer for succeeding. So, the hatch and keys are working as intended, but that functionality was breaking the rest of the game.

But they were still nerfed, like it doesn't matter how you slice it. A nerf is a nerf in this context

    That's the point of contention.

  • @FellowKillerMain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2592855#Comment_2592855

I don't know if anyone else agrees, but changes to broken things are fixes, not nerfs. The hatch mechanic in it's old state was broken because it didn't have counterplay, even with Franklin's (which was also nerfed before the hatch changes). Keys and the hatch rewarded survivors for losing.

No, you fix something that isn't working correctly.

Keys were 100% working correctly and as intended but they were nerfed

  • But they just nerfed keys and hatch? Notoriously survivor sided mechanics

There are a lot of reasons to be annoyed and upset at BHVR but siding with one aspect of the game isn't one of them imo

Yeah that true, in fact he got the voice of the Stranger Things series real life actor, especially when Dbd is going to quit Stranger Things license, so after that, I think everything is possible

I don't think they got Charlie Heaton to do his voice but I think whoever was the voice actor, they did a pretty good impression of him

    Ok thanks for that.

So instead of spreading pressure.....You then have to hit the same one twice, wait for 4 sec fatigue, then wait for you power to charge, but that just a backup plan in case you can't secure the down due to pallets (lots of them), DH, crazy tiles, etc sounds fair to me.

I don't get why people are calling it good ngl.

Not only is it boring, but if you're good at playing basic M1 killer you can probably down them a lot faster unless it's like the game or cowshed.

  • Thankfully we have a precedent for legendary characters that didn't have their own voices getting one

Johnathan had Steve's voice on release but he was later given his own later on, so there's hope!

  • @chargernick85 said:

I have not used my Legion in a few weeks. Can someone explain to me how this works. Can't you only hit the same survivor twice before you power cancels? So what this about frenzy downing?

One add-on makes DW 15 seconds.

Other add-on removes 5 seconds with a hit meaning you have to hit a survivor 3 times with frenzy.....That I get but you can't hit them 3 times can you?

It's exactly what it sounds like

You run those 2 addons and when you're chasing a survivor if you can't catch them normally then you just brute force it by hitting them with frenzy over and over. You still have to wait through the fatigue + 20 second cooldown though.

People are also running it in conjunction with chase perks like Endu/Spirit Fury and stuff like that. If you hit them enough times with FF they will go down because the timer will hit 0 but it takes a while to do this if the survivors playing decent

  • @kyogul said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2592380#Comment_2592380

You aren't going to be using Frenzy to down people. You're using it to injure and subsequently activate Blood Favour. The cooldown without add ons is like five seconds for Feral Frenzy.

Blood Favour has no cool down anymore. It simply re-activates upon injure health state of a survivor

The "cool down" you are referring to is in regards to how long the pallets are unable to be used, not how long until the perk can work again.

This build isn't wasting your time at all. It seems like you don't play Legion much, if at all.

I'm sorry but I don't think you read the OP of this thread

OP is talking about people using Stab Wounds Study + Franks Mixtape to down people with Feral Frenzy hits. OP didn't really say anything about Blood Favour so either you're referring to a diff post on this thread or you're on the wrong thread

  • Why are people calling this 'good'? I don't get it.

Like yeah you'll down them eventually but doesn't it take like 3/4 frenzy hits, which will carry a 20 second cooldown and the fatigue every time meaning you'll be waiting 60/80 seconds at minimum to do this? If every chase with a survivor lasts 60/80-ish seconds that's hilarious

I'm not saying I like it, I don't but Legion's main strength is about saving time having to injure people normally in chase so why would you pick a playstyle that actively wastes your time a lot more

  • @Malkhrim said:

It could be, I saw something that looked like this in one of Otzdarva's recent videos:

    https://youtu.be/hc80gyYm278

    It happens at 1:08:50

But I'm not sure if that's what happened in my match, it seemed to me he was still chained... unless I missed it, since it happened fast.

Yeah this is where I actually noticed it as well

So she's chained, the other chans instantly break and then Otz enters range for the entity blocker to come up which stops the other chains from connecting - thus allowing her to escape.

It might not matter if the entity blocker even spawns, slowing the video down it seems the chains disappeared before he got close.

  • You know I have a weird theory why this happens sometimes and not others

I think if the chains spawn near/behind the entity blockers, when the killer gets close the entity blocker counts as 'the environment' and then removes the chains, the survivor is instantly freed from those chains and likely the first one after holding M1 which means they would no longer be incapacitated.

IDK It's just a guess but it's possible right?

  • Outside of the traditional meta-slave builds, I find the following perks to be great picks:

    • No Way Out - while it's a hook perk which many would argue isn't great on PH, I find you will always hook every survivor at least once and that's all you need to get maximum value out of this perk.
    • I'm All Ears - great for those snipes, shows survivors auras for 6 seconds after a rushed vault. Cooldown makes it annoying to use though
    • Eruption - typically you don't want to kick gens but this perk at least gives you a solid reason to + it will trigger with Punishment of the Damned making it not a bad choice
    • Lethal Pursuer - having a good early game as Pyramid Head is important, this perk will 100% help you figure out the best way to start
    • Deadlock - just a good slowdown perk that doesn't require a lot of input from you. Just equip it and it does its thing in the background
    • Monitor and Abuse - a PH with a smaller terror radius will give survivors less time to react to your approach. Survivors typically try to play safe against PH so this helps throw them off a bit.
