honestly though, I think you should only be able to affect one gen at a time with eruption

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/351060/during-this-event-are-party-streamer-cakes-flans-not-working

Bloody Party Streamers DO NOT work, Survivor Puddings DO work, Killer BP category offerings (the various wreath add-ons) DO work, and I can't confirm or deny about any of the Anniversary Cakes but it's better to save them IMO since you have a finite amount.

I also can't say anything about Escape Cakes or Survivor BP category offerings.

    Flans/Anniversary Cakes don't work.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Are the offerings at least being refunded?

If you mean after the game then nope, they get consumed.

  • The amount of times I've had Devour break just after I finish mori'ing one survivor with it...

Now, with the change of the survivor insta-dying on hook instead, it gives the teammates a chance to cleanse the hex on your way to the hook and/or sabo the hook.

Yet another Hex being nerfed, shame.

  • Yeah, I had about six different hackers in the span of a 6-hour timeframe the other night. Luckily I bumped into the same 3-4 like three different times and because I was just memeing with them the first game, they just brought flans and farmed BP for me.

The others were pretty annoying though, like a Kate on The Game repeatedly flashlight blinding me for the entire game

  • I never usually dodge lobbies because of Prestige level, even if there's a P100 - however I did dodge one lobby recently because a single player had a P100, a P50 something on another survivor and a P21 Feng as they were switching through survivors. Coupled with the fact they were a crossplay player, I didn't want to take the risk they were a hacker on Epic Games because I'd already played against like 6-7 different hackers that night over 5 games or so

As survivor I don't notice lobby dodging happen too often though sometimes I do end up waiting 2-3 minutes in the lobby for the game to start, I honestly think teammates are more likely to dodge than the killer because of other teammates prestige levels

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Crossplay off? If I can recall the system is disabled if you turn off crossplay

Nah, I always play with crossplay on

  • I've had about 3 killer games where I had +100% bonus, the rest of the time it's +100% survivor bonus and rarely +50%. Killer queue times are like consistently 5 minutes for me right now here in the UK

  • @Mandy said:

I'm checking on this now to see if there's a delay of some sort.

They're active now, +100% on survivor currently

  • @Peanits said:

They will return at 2PM ET today (about 20 minutes from now).

Any update? Doesn't seem to be active.

  • @Hussein said:

How well were they playing in the match? They may have transferred from console to PC.

    Not great at all.

It's my first game on this morning, I felt like I had to practically carry the team by doing 2 solo gens, going for like 3 hook rescues because they kept going down at the same hook trying to finish a gen that was halfway as well as loop the Legion for probably about 4-5 minutes total. Aaand then just as the final gen pops I go down and the killer had NOED.

    Fun.

    See you in the Fog,

    -The Dead by Daylight Team

  • My definition of tunnelling is repeatedly going after the survivor who has just been unhooked until they are dead and not committing to a chase on any other survivor

At 3-5 gens left, I don't think a killer should be needing to tunnel and I frown upon it when I see it happen

If there's 2 gens or less left, I can understand why a killer would tunnel if they need someone dead at that point to still try to win, or if they simply just haven't had many hooks throughout the game so far and still want to attempt to win

    in Tunneling Comment by Botiz
  • For me Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Myers, Huntress, Bubba, Pig, Demo, Oni, Blight (if not Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer) and Nemesis

With Trapper, I like the feeling of intensity you get when looping wondering if there's a trap there, and with Wraith it's wondering if you're gonna make it to the loop before he zooms ahead of you and blocks the pallet

  • If i'm not waving it usually means i'm waiting for the killer to leave the area before:

I do it once or twice i'm telling someone to start running to the hook to save me

If i'm doing it constantly it probably means i'm close to second stage or death and I desperately want someone to save me before I do go into second stage or do die

  • Billy, Clown, Oni, Pyramid Head and Twins

  • You'll be able to remove SteamOS and install Windows on it, though i'm not entirely sure whether the "controller" compatibility will work correctly if you were to install Windows, we'll have to see

I did hear though that that was an issue they were going to try fixing before the Steam Deck launches

  • @TAG said:

Body is 1 character too short

  • When i'm working on a generator alone and a Blight comes flying towards me with Tinkerer and I know he has Ruin

    Devour Hope activating

When a Myers doesn't activate his Tier 3 until there's only 1 gen left

Spirit's standing still when i'm in a chase with her

When i'm running towards shack against a Trapper, especially if basement is there

Trying to go for an unhook for Doc to then use his static blast

Getting hit and dropping the pallet at the same time

  • I'd say these are the perks I play against which I find are balanced.

    Killer:

BBQ, Nurse's, Brutal Strength, Shadowborn, Enduring, STBFL, Monitor & Abuse, Surveillance, PGTW, Haunted Ground, Discordance, Corrupt, Thrilling, Bamboozle, Sloppy

    Survivor:

Prove Thyself, Unbreakable, Kindred, Iron Will, Spine Chill, Resilience, We'll Make It, WGLF, Detective's Hunch, Windows Of Opportunity, Deliverance, Head On, Deception, Quick & Quiet, Inner Strength, Soul Guard, Resurgence, Blast Mine, Flashbang

For Killer, I was going to include Lethal Pursuer and Infectious Fright, but Lethal Pursuer on Nurse & Blight I feel can just give them an easy win from the get-go with little chance to come back, especially against solo players. Infectious Fright i'd say needs like a 30 second cooldown before it can trigger again once you down a survivor to prevent people from slugging for the 4K early on during the match.

For Survivor, I was going to include Borrowed Time but I dislike the fact the unhooked person still has collision with the killer after the unhook. It makes it very annoying when you're purposely not trying to tunnel but the unhooked person just sits in your face bodyblocking. Sometimes you can't even wait out the 8 seconds to just re-down them and slug them to move on because that might give them enough time to make it to a safe loop.

  • They announced a Bloodhunt (Double Bloodpoint) event was starting on the 29th if you didn't see that - no info on how long it'll be though.

  • there was this hilarious Tru3 video where he tried it a few years back, one of my favourite DBD videos

  • i've barely even seen Wraith lately, i'm probably playing against him like 3-4 times a week at most

  • The lantern and the Fog Whisperer charm.

  • played a game of him for the first time in probably months the other day and it just felt so stale and boring

They are trying to help other platforms though, I don't get the negativity here.

    PEOPLE ARE BEING HEARD!!!!!!!!!

People on console have been asking for a fix for a while, and now they are putting in effort and giving compensation because they know they've ######### up.

This is a step in the right direction again, stop being so negative.

It's a step in the right direction until they go 5 steps back with the next mid-chapter update/next chapter.

The compensation is pathetic. 300K BP and 3K Shards is nothing.

Not only that, but they take THIS long with putting out an update that the console players who were having major issues don't even get any fixes until one week after the extension of the event, leaving them missing out on a lot.

No, I won't stop being so negative

  • Insane, at least we get a miniscule little bloodpoint and shard reward as a "thank you" though right?

Damn, now I can finally get through 6 bloodwebs for free! /s

  • as a solo queue survivor, I hate playing against a Blight with Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer, it's painful and super boring and i don't wanna throw on some totem perks when it's not guaranteed the killer will have Ruin and potentially Undying with it

that being said when I play Blight my current build is BBQ, Sloppy (for when I don't have my ability available and can go for M1 hits), Nurse's and Lethal Pursuer

  • Anywhere from one game (so like 10-15 mins) up to 5 hours, on average probably about 2 hours though.

  • Looks like people on live servers are having issues. I'm waiting for a game as Bubba game atm

  • Yup, I had 13 disconnects in 6 games. More than half the survivors I played against disconnected, lol

I'm going to be honest. I think they over did the buffs. In the open it legit feels like I can't do nothing. I saw a lot of survivors dc vs him. It's going to be hard for them to buff him. Even twitch killers are having a lot DC during the ptb. A power rework may be the only thing that won't make him oppressive in the open. And even I like playing the trickster, but he feels to powerful when you are far from any cover.

I'm trying out his Iridescent Photocard add-on in the next match to see how that is.

It does feel like I down survivors ridiculously quick out in the open.

  • Fourth game resulted in another two disconnects. One of which was a Bill who was AFK so that's a little more understandable I guess considering I hooked him twice anyway to avoid having the crow notification in my ear every 3 seconds

  • Just played a third game and had another 3 disconnects. That's 9 disconnects in 3 games.

He's definitely feeling a lot better than before, he still sucks at loops though so I think for the most part it's best to force the pallet down and try and push them into a bit of a deadzone and use your blades whilst they're running from loop to loop.

Not sure if it's just me, but hitting survivors with blades when they're in a vault animation seems a bit hit and miss, like sometimes they inflict the survivor, sometimes they don't.

  • @MrCrazyCat62 said:

Why are you on the PTB?

    To try out Trickster's changes.

Survivors should be expecting to against Trickster seeing as he's the main highlight of the PTB.

If you're disconnecting against a Trickster as soon as you go down, you probably shouldn't go into pub matches on the PTB.

  • @Soulslayer618 said:

waiting in queue nothing happens for literal 30 minutes then it says game timeout and my only action available is to quit game

is this a new bug a failsafe in case the queue is broken (which backfired) or is my game just cursed

for the record this is NOT on the ptb and its happened twice today

I waited 25 mins for like a 7 minute game as new Trickster and two survivors randomly disconnected during it, it's crazy how much BHVR continues to break things

  • Just Myers, Freddy, Clown, Legion and maybe Spirit

  • I got one loading into my first game on the first day the event had started but I haven't had one since. I play on Steam incase you're wondering

  • I had this issue too after updating drivers, I had to reinstall Geforce Experience, make sure it was the latest version then check Enable Experimental Features in the settings of Geforce Experience.

If it still doesn't work after that, open the game through Geforce Experience itself and you should be good to go

  • Quicker queue times

in Why VPN? Comment by Botiz
  • I just play survivor throughout the day then play killer in the evening (around like 7PM is when killer queues get quicker for me in the UK)

  • Trickster buffs/add-on changes/perk changes are great, might even be a bit overkill with his power/add-ons we'll have to see.

A little concerned about the pallet stun/hit rejection thing, but hopefully it turns out smooth

"in the future" regarding generator grabs means it's most likely going to take them like another year to finally implement the rework, but the temporary solution is great.

Besides that... meh. Everything else is cool I guess but nothing I really care about

  • Of course there isn't, BHVR half-ass everything now.

Even if the new map is enabled, i've had it ONCE since the event has started out of probably about 80-90 games total.

Every new update with this game is just disappointing now

  • I've probably played about 7-8 hours of DBD now since the event started and still haven't seen it once.

Maybe the percentage of getting it is still quite low as they continue to make sure it's stable to play on or something

  • @Pilot said:

Are u blessed by the RNG gods to not have problems with this update?

I'm getting between 1-3 cakes per bloodweb on Demo, non-prestiged Level 50

  • Now I get into a lobby and it's almost 300 ping... #########?

  • If you have 4 survivors who are crazy good at looping and you can't get downs quick enough then there's not much you can do, especially if the other three are working on gens in the meantime

The only thing you can do really is hope that you can keep switching targets and eventually catch one in a deadzone or at a weak loop to get a hit/down, then from that point on you should have some okay pressure

This is an example of why camping and tunnelling are viable strategies, because if you still want a chance at winning against a team like this, these strategies are unfortunately sometimes needed

You're bound to get a team like this sooner or later, it happens

  • I recently went against a killer on The Game.

Two teammates were dead, one was slugged, and I was the last standing and the killer was trying to get the 4K, however couldn't get me to a hook. He was walking right towards the direction of the slugged teammate and I wiggled off, picked teammate up, she went back down then he proceeded to chase me again.

Once he finally got me down, he hooked the other survivor and slugged me to death, then when I asked why in end-game chat he said "for wasting my time when the game was already over". So he got annoyed that I "wasted" his time because I wiggled off as he couldn't get me to a hook, then decided to waste even more time by slugging me to death? One of the pettiest things i've played against in a while

  • Honestly, with no signs of the grind changing anytime soon, i'd like to at least grind enough throughout this event to have enough cakes to at least use one every game the next half a year, we'll see how that goes though - maybe I should make a thread after the event is over showing my progress lol

  • As killer, a 3K with last getting hatch/exit gate (exit gate only due to me closing the hatch, not them completing all gens) or a 4K.

As survivor, simply escaping through an exit gate.

1 2 3 4 … 6
