Here is a huge hurdle as to why we cannot just close the gap between SWF and solo...How do we balance the killers afterwards?
No one knows. At best I see people come up with vague ideas. It's just dumb to think that killers will hang around when even solos could be potentially as strong as a 4 man swf right from rank 20.
There's plenty of ways you could buff killers. They could change some mechanics in game like kicking gens regresses a percentage before regressing regularly or speed up hook progressing, even buffing movement speed for all killers, or rework all their individual powers a bit.
I'm sure Rank 20 killers are already going against SWF their the majority of the playerbase. If Devs wants to keep new killers interested in the game something has to change, the more you rank up the less fun killer is to play and the more stressful it becomes.
-
Sorry but if I see 4 people loading in at once I know it's going to be a stressful unfun game, Not something I'm willingly going to put myself into. When SWF is balanced then I'll have no problem.
and I get not all SWF are Toxic but in my experience 9 times out of 10 they are and I'm also up against red ranks when I'm in green.
-
Generally from what I hear and see on streams people like to face the likes of Leatherface, Freddy and Wraith. I can see why

-
Nurse has a very high skill cap. I don't see why this shouldn't be rewarded.
If they nerfed nurse then what's the point in putting hours and hours into learning how to play her just to get the same results as a killer thats easier to play? -
Hatch shouldn't have ever been a free escape In my opinion. It should be a race for who can find it first, Killer can close the hatch revealing the survivors aura, as it stands now there's no point in looking for hatch as killer unless you want to waste time on a boring stand off.
-
I think just building in Bond and buffing Killers accordingly would help a tonne.
Sure it'd make bond, empathy and aftercare useless but something needs to be done to close the Gap and help balance the game. -
Usually within the first minute or two but the very, very odd time It'll stand for a decent amount of time.
-
Been experiencing this too, pretty frustrating if this is an intended change, If a bug i hope it gets fixed soon.
-
I wouldnt mind different music for different killers, thatd be cool.
What i really want is the option to quieten the music, i get it's supposed to give suspense but it's so hard to use sound in a game that says it's about sound because of the booming music. -

Is liking this idea....be nice to see more then weapons/hands....Right? I think it'd make killer more appealing too, Killer view makes me nauseous sometimes tbh

-
I don't know, sometimes i hear them sometimes i don't, I wish we had Volume sliders for different noises I'd have to blast my headphones to hear them sometimes over the music in game.
-
Footsteps are back, a bit quieter than before I believe but that might just be the in game music being so loud

-
I think everyone should be sent back to the lobby if someone DC's or Crashes during the loading screen. It's been happening so frequently.
-
I'd like more 1/2 person gens to spawn but Considering that the Gens on haddonfield that usually have a 1 person gen in a house is after the patch now most the time a 3 gen on the roof I doubt that'll happen.
-
I don't know why they said after positive reaction we're giving more chest drops, but completely ignore the positive reaction from Killer's bloodweb.

-
Or even someone in KYF to test, I'm curious too.
-
It's not a problem with Rank, It's a Game design flaw. Gens are done too fast with little to no skill required to do so.
But I suppose they have to make survivor appealing since their the majority. -
If this is true, I swear there trying to push people away from playing killer at this point

-
Honestly I can see the appeal for Tunneling at this point, Gens are done so fast that it's a huge help to get someone out of the game asap.
Personally I'll only Tunnel if someone unhooks right as I'm walking away or if you're the only person I can find. Seeing an injured person and choosing not to go after them is basically throwing the game. -
Other objects? I've seen 2 totems out in the open on penn asylum.
Honestly the totem placements need so much more work or more totems on the maps. -
I like Spirit the best, its fun too zoom around the map and scare survivors.
-
It's been going on for a while now, to my knowledge there's nothing you can do about it sadly.
-
The amount of bugs im hearing about is crazy. Only got to play 2 games before giving up after game crashing at end of the trial and infinite loads.

Devs probably saw the thread where survivors complained that spies would be op. So they reduced the amount of crows by 99%I mean that's probably likely

-
Again people will focus on the wrong things here.
Even with perks and add ons not many Killers could end a chase as quick as this nurse. The Fact that Gens can be done so fast compared to the time it takes to get someone on a hook is the problem. -

Let me get this straight. So a survivor goes to vault the window and I catch them, but mid animation the game decides "Nah, they can go"Grabbing is kind of buggy at the moment. That can also happen when you should be able to grab a surv working at a gen etc.
Been noticing this, I haven't been able to get grabs, Even if they stay on the gen it registers as a quick hit instead.
-
Not upset about the Buff, I've come to expect this sort of thing from the Devs but to not announce it and sneak it in is shady.
-
I can slightly hear footsteps, not what i was hoping for but better then nothing i suppose.

Each extra Survivor on a Generator all get a 10% penalty in time, Prove thyself counteracts the penalty and makes you Repair at 100% speed for everyone, so instead of 270% for 3 it would be 300%.I think that's how it is, almost sure.
It won't help if you think about it in percentages, you have to put it into the game's "charges" system.
Each survivor contributes 1 charge per second on a generator by default. Each survivor after the first decreases the charge contributions by -0.1. So two survivors on a gen both contribute 0.9. charges, for a total of 1.8 charges/second. Prove Thyself is just negating that, just removing the debuff. So, if four survivors are on a generator without prove thyself or toolboxes, they're all contributing 0.7 charges, for a total of 2.8 charges. You then divide the base charges required to complete the action by the charges contributed. A generator takes 80 charges to complete, divided by 2.8 making it take ~28.6 seconds to complete. Prove thyself makes it so that you are always contributing one charge per second, so if all four survivors have prove thyself, they contribute a total of 4 charges. 80 divided by 4 is 20.
TL;DR, Prove Thyself makes a 4 to 8 second difference. It's not that bad.
Oh okay thank you for the explanation

-
I think it's somewhere between 25-30? I don't know the maths tbh but yeah add 3 toolboxes and It's gonna be incredibly fast gens.

The one on the right in that screenshot definitely will not. The shack totem is now wedged in a corner between the pallet and the wall. It's actually really well hidden and you can't see it unless you go into the shack to check for it.
Why is there a totem at Shack at all? It's a go to place for survivors when looking for somewhere to loop or find a Gen.
-
I never understood why Lullaby is a Hex, Devour Hope and NOED sure but Lullaby hardly impacts the game enough to warrant being a Hex perk
-
Hopefully this is a thing of the past after 2.5.0, Hex's might actually last longer than a minute

-
I find it so strange how they leave Bugs in the game for such long times.
And it's not just the Loading screens, For a game that boasts itself on being about sound, Audio has been bugged for over a month now.
-
I'm hoping tomorrow since it'll be a tuesday, I cant wait for sounds to be fixed, It's a huge part of the game.
-
I don't think there would even be a way to rework those perks you mentioned, Voice com SWF will always know where the Killer, Traps, Totems and other Survivors are so anything to do with taking that information away is kind of negated.

-
To be fair, He's also been playing nurse with no add ons or perks and most his games have been 4 - 6 minutes even with ending chases within seconds.
This is obviously an extreme because of no perks but you can't deny there's a problem with gen times / survivors overall objectives. -
I didn't play the PTB but if Hooks are going to be that bad I'd hate that. I already need Ruin to try slow down the game I don't want to be forced to waste another perk slot in order to get to a hook. DS Is going to be even stronger now, everyone's going to be running it.

-
I mean the Games not only Look the same and play similar, some of the code was stolen too. It's obvious they used building blocks from the previous game to make the westworld game there's no denying that. I'd like to believe they weren't aware they were braking the contract with bethesda but it seems unlikely.
I Hope it doesn't effect DBD Negatively. -

Everyone wants new game modes but they're always the same 2v8 or Solo/Ranked but I want actual new game modes. Star Wars has an Ewok Hunt where you survive until dawn against a horde of Ewoks. We need something fresh and scary like that ut obviously different.Hardcore Mode--The original Ebony Mori where you can instakill on the first down.
Vigo's Research---bring back the husks from the Hallowed Blight event and the whole thing centers around getting enough vials and returning them to the lab as a Survivor. As Killer you collect the vials from Survivors before they return them so you can mutate and become more powerful.
VS Mode--this might be too out there but it's fresh. A whole new system and animations are made for the Killers and it's a final fight between two killers and whoever wins gets the only Survivor who is trying to complete Objectives as fast as possible so they can get out in time. Two seperate areas, one where the Killers are locked in and duke it out, slashing and kicking, and another seperate area with the lone Survivor doing Objectives and avoiding obstacles. As I said, probably a bit too much and would probably need it's own game but it would be cool. I got the idea from Freddy vs Jason.
Exactly this.
The whole repair the gen, hook a survivor is getting a little old. I'd love some fresh new game modes like the ones you mentioned. I get we have perks that are centered around the Gens but we can always make more for the newer modes. -
New Game modes, There's so much potential.. Would help longevity of the game too.
-
The grind is real.
I've been trying to get BBQ on 3 different killers for so long now, Im starting to think its not even worth the play time. -
I dont feel any difference in her phasing but Sound and scratch marks have been broken for a while now and since she relies on those two to be playable it's tough.
-
well

-
I think stuff like you mentioned being in the game would loose the horror aspect to the game.
We already have some silly outfits like Santa Clown, Spirits new school girl skin. These are fine tho because they're not too silly and retain that horror theme. -
Having this issue too.
-
Honestly, 1.
Killer is tense enough, If I go against a toxic SWF my mood for playing the game is gone. The Frustration doesn't out way the fun I have playing so I stop.
