They can not change map maybe? Because that is licensed map, so they can change only if Capcom let them do

i don't think it works that way. They could (not saying they should) cut down some areas of the map, it will still be RPD, just less of it

How can you have an unsafe and pointless god pallet.

There's a few weak ones in the central area but the outer hallways have multiple completely unmindgameable very strong pallets.

That's what i mean, unsafe weak pallets, and god pallets

It’s really only useless against a smart team who knows not to stay too close, but even then killer instinct can help locate and prioritize.

it's not just about spreading out.

When survivors don't feel his power becomes completely useless, he's just an m1 killer who has to deal with exhaustion perks. A good survivor with dead hard could easily loop him for a gen or two before he downs them with bloodlust

  • @4eyed said:

You can store main event for a minute or two

Kicking pallets doors and windows pauses the frenzy meter maybe even increasing it with add ons and makes you move faster

legion needs a complete rework cause his power is useless. I would be ashamed if i lost to a legion

Mine was Doctor, thought he looked really cool so I started playing the game

Bought doctor as soon i started playing and got rank 1 with him in 100hrs

  • Killer in your average red rank games isn't hard because a majority of survivors are mediocre players, that's why the kill rate is very high

I actually like this. Personally, the biggest problem I have with Fire Up are the numbers

True, losing five gens only for a 20% boost is too little

  • @FrostySeal said:

And when I say disappointment I don't mean the worst chapter, I mean which chapter were you really hyped for but ended up getting dissapointed in due to reasons like bugs, bad design, or other things?

Personally I was most dissapointed in the binding of kin chapter. When I first saw the twins I got really excited but when they came out the crazy amount of bugs they had combined with the fact that they had many design flaws and mediocre perks really had me dissapointed in BHVR. I was also interested in Elodies perks but later realized they were complete garbage, but otherwise I thought the map reworks were decent.

    All-Kill

  • @DawnMad said:

Decisive Strike in its current state isn't very abusable, a survivor can't progress the game without losing it and if a killer gets hit with a 59 second DS that means the survivor was useless for that whole minute... or they were being tunneled which is the point.

Its effect on the other hand isn't nearly strong enough to stop tunneling, it only punishes it. Then there is the problem when a killer eats a DS after the survivors first hook, they are now free to tunnel that survivor after their second hook. This is still tunneling and shouldn't be the case.

What I'm suggesting is to make DS always activate after both unhooks, even if you already used it. If a killer is going to try to tunnel you after both hooks then it should prevent it both times.

    more ds bad posts, sigh

    Hey everyone,

Probably a stupid question here, but I’m very new to the game (got it like last week but I’ve been playing a lot and ranking up fast), and I’ve been watching the forums and subreddit for a while now and I read a LOT of posts about toxic/mean survivors. So, to kinda combat or balance out the ######### people, I’ve been trying to send every killer I play against a nice message. I’m not able to message everyone since I’m on console, so when I can’t do that I try to friend them to show that I like/appreciate them.

My question for the forum is; Do killers enjoy being nicely messaged and/or befriended?

I’m doing it to try to spread positivity, but if it’s actually just annoying or an inconvenience to people I’ll have to reconsider.

    Some context info:

sometimes killers message me back and then they’re always nice, but mostly they don’t reply.

I send messages like: “Thanks for the game! :)” Or “You really steamrolled us hahah. Good job!”

i definitely do especially when the praise you for winning with a bad killer

hello everyone, i am a new player i got dbd about 3 weeks ago and i am just wondering how people think this game is survivor sided? killer seems way easier and way stronger than survivors

Since you're new, let me show you the dbd food chain, starting from the strongest ( most unfair), to the weakest

SWF (coordinated 4 man squads)- Good Killers- A good but not premade (solo survivor team)- Bad Killers- Bad Survivors.

After a Generator is finished, all vault locations within 24 / 28 / 32 meters of the Killer will be blocked by the Entity for duration of 30 seconds.

    Thoughts?

    I like it

  • You don't scream but will still be exposed. Although i would suggest to not even use lockers in the first place and just get looped

Yes we all get those, just like the twitch t shirts for meg and dwight

  • @GannTM said:

In terms of the zombies, survivors can get rid of them with pallets. Obviously, that comes with drawbacks because the pallet is down and the killer can kick them. If you have Any Means Necessary, however, you can stun the zombies with a pallet and then lift it back up. Is Any Means Necessary meta now?

This is assuming you're going against a nemesis, just like how calm spirit kinda counters doctor. Are you willing to always run it with hopes you might go against nemesis?

  • @Kate_Main_01 said:

I've not yet had the time to watch the announcement video so my knowledge is entirely limited to articles and this forum so far! So I apologize in advance if this information is readily available.

    1. I understand that Nemesis can spawn the zombies. Have they said how many?
    2. Do they expire or are will they be constant threats?
    3. Can they be countered or destroyed (like after a dodge like with Victor)?
    4. Do we know Nemesis's speed?

Super excited about this upcoming chapter! I haven't had time to look into the Survivors yet but Nemesis looks really fun to play/go against!

2 zombies, cannot be changed with add ons.

Stunning them with pallets/ head on will kill them, however they respawn pretty first.

Their default speed is very slow.

    100% this.

We already have so many totem location perks and this new one just put them out of business.

Detective's Hutch was one of my go-to perks but whats the point of it now? Counterforce gives me totem locations, major speed buff to cleansing, and it acts a counter in that if I do bones and see no new totem highlighted I know they are all done.

As a survivor I love this new perk. As killer I fear it...

I don't mind going against it as much, cause survivors have to replace one of their meta perks for it

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2215370#Comment_2215370

Its the Totem furthest away. So if the Survivor goes for it, they will waste quite some time, because they will probably go map-wide.

Yes but why have a perk that replaces small game, especially when you just buffed it

  • Behavior is definitely not the best at events, at least we got an ok chapter

  • Increasing totem speed is a good idea, but i don't think it should show any auras.

  • @Naz said:

This auto ban is a horrible idea. People bring killers to me as survivor to troll every now and then but now they can also report me? Just because they don't like me? My character choice?

I have invested a lot of money in this game but now i am afraid to play it because of toxic idiots.

It's probably not gonna be as bad as you think. I'm assuming the system will view the average emblem on the reported player and decide if they gets a ban, most likely a temporary ban unless cheating.

Getting perma banned for being 'toxic' usually has the devs looking at ban appeals first

  • @Lord_Tony said:

Dead hard, borrowed time, unbreakable, decisive strike.

this is the absolute crutch meta build I've ever seen in this game and it's used a lot.

4 second chance perks? Come on. How can you think you're good when you're using 4 second chance crutch perks?

This build is problematic and it's even worse when all 4 survivors use it. (SWF)

Im a killer main and i hv no problem survivors running this perk.

Unbreakable is the only big issue as slugging is an amazing strat, ds and bt shouldn't even be a problem if you're a good killer

  • Farm stealth/ chase points to get a higher emblem

  • @HealsBadMan said:

Imagine if the chapter drops and instead of RE 2, RE 3, RE 7 or RE 8 themes it's based on the RE movies XD

Honestly though, my expectations are bare minimum. If we get a Survivor, Killer and map I'll be happy. Maybe switch the map for an extra Survivor, but I'm a Killer main so meh.

i'm sure we'll get at least 2 survivors, maybe even 2 killers. Devs probably gonna milk out this chapter as much as possible since it's Resident Evil, or maybe we'll get a part 2, but they're not gonna throw this opportunity away

  • @ShinobuSK said:

They are working their asses off flon this chapter, not only fans but also Capcom is expecting only their best work so far.

Some bugs will 100% occur but I think it will mostly be alright and if not, fixed in a week.

I hope they fix the bugs and listen to feedbacks in ptb, unlike all the previous

  • @WTBacon said:

The point of the perk is to help you turn the game around as the survivors complete their objectives.

I like the idea, but its effect only just becomes useful when every generator is repaired. Fire Up only reaches 20% pallet breaking speed once every gen is done, Brutal Strength has 20% all game.

I think it should work the same, but just get a crazy buff. Like going from 3/3.5/4% to 4/5/6% so it surpasses Brutal Strength late-game instead of just matching it.

    Doesn't fire up go up to 25%, 5token x 5 gens?

  • How were you able to get your teammates to 99 gens, they're on console so i assume not a swf

  • @Rullisi said:

Yes, people will continue hating the killers even after their nerfs. Legion for instance.

i love legion, he gives survivors free pips even when he's sweating

  • @JHondo said:

The one that took me the longest just throwing games tonight was 15 unhooks or protection hits.

Advice for blood debt, get hooked then as soon as you see the person who unhooked you gets injured find them and rush the save with BT. Probably take a couple matches, I did it in two but that's just because I got lucky and the Kate that saved me my second game was a competent player and I hid after the gens were done until she got hooked again so I could rush in for the save and take aggro while she finished her gate and got out.

while 15 is a lot especially for a level 2 tome, at least you can slowly progress just by playing the game normally, farming protection hits with mettle is also fun

  • @BenihimeWrath said:

I love how I can knock out all the killer challenges as farming ghostface trololing (virtually, plague exclusive challenges aside) in one night. But I basically have to throw the entire game as survivor in order to get a FRACTION of progress towards one challenge. Big brain, much balance.

Survivor challenges should be a lot easier, having to do 10 gens for 3 fragments at a LVL 2 tome?

  • @Phasmamain said:

It would just become a win more perk like dying light. Still not very useful

True, a winning killer would just win more, but i still like the concept of picking up survivors faster. Maybe they can make a perk solely on that

  • Stbfl is perfect and does not need a rework

  • Survivors taking the game hostage, while not common, has happened a few times and is very annoying

  • I would always prefer haddonfield over father's chapel

  • Self care is only viable with other healing perks or medkits. Those who run it without them are bad players

  • Trapper is weakest without add ons, but legion is definetly trash and unfun.

If anyone picks legion in a dbd tournament and 4ks, he needs to be the new CEO of behavior.

  • @ClarityOfWill said:

Bamboozle is honestly one of his best perks. Combine it with something like beast marks / chilli and shack becomes a deathtrap without pallet (as do quite a few other tiles). My build is BBQ, pop, bamboozle and tinkerer. Works very well.

yeah but a majority of survivors would just leave the loop as soon you vault the window, so it never works

  • Both Yes and No. Prestige those you think have nice skins, so yeah solely on cosmetic purposes.

I myself have Pyramid Head, Doctor and Bubba on P3 cause they look pretty good

  • Corrupt, Sloppy, Nurses, Monitor (Swap Monitor with Franklin when you see lots of items). Don't run any tracking perks besides Nurses, you don't want to run bbq or discordance as you need survivors to come to you

  • @Lord_Tony said:

outclassed on literally every single loop.

even simple loops can be infinite to trickster because of his slow speed and weak damage

While he is still a very bad killer, i think the devs should work on weaker killers like legion and their failed clown rework.

  • @Luciferr_2nd said:

I personally despise the ruin/pop combo, everytime i run it ruin either goes immediately or ruin never gets cleansed, very poor synergy that is up to RNG.

I would recommend just ditching ruin, and go for Corrupt, BBQ, Pop, tinkerer.

Chase perks arent really necessary on Bubba his chainsaw is threatening enough when you get really good with it.

Interesting build, never thought about running tinkerer on him. I think bamboozle isn't good on bubba, but spirit fury enduring are definitely insane

  • SWF sided most of the time (assuming it's a balanced map and not a killer-sided one). Anyone who says otherwise is a bad surv

  • @BarbecueiChilli said:

Why the ######### people think, she can be the killer? She is too tall and in RE8 she is the same as Mr X in gameplay mechanic. Why her and not Mr X or Nemesis.

But we all know this is going to be Jack Baker

Because these weirdos like to keep fantasizing and get heavily turned on by animations

  • @gatsby said:

I know she’s a brand new character from the brand new game so she’s not as iconic as other options from resident evil. But from a promo standpoint on Capcom’s end I could see it happening because she’s one of the main characters from Resident Evil 8 and they want people to buy their new game.

Behavior likes to make their Killers distinct. And a nearly 10 foot tall dommy mommy would definitely stand out from the rest of the roster. Not to mention bring in tons of money from fans of RE and people who know nothing about RE but just want to spend more time looking at her.

Wouldn't be mad but won't be happy either, especially knowing how weird the re8 and dbd fans are

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248831/survivor-gliding-and-clowns-iri-pinkey-finger-bug

1.It is normal when survivor loses connection /game crash when you down them

2.You are probably not using it right you need to DIRECTLY hit survivor with the bootle to make them exposed, when you hit them directly you will get 150 extra points for "bootle toss"

    1. This bug is actually pretty common on youtube, and if they were to lose connection, they could hv done it without gliding to the furthest point of the map (clearly doing it to effect me more).
    2. I have used the iri add on a few times, throw the battle, they scream and hit, always works. Maybe you could try it for yourself first
  • @GerryJones said:

I've been playing the game for a few hundred hours now and every match seems to be against a bunch of rank 1-4 survivors (as a rank 8-10 killer), which would be fine if not for the fact that they all run the same perks, they're almost always good at looping and wasting my time and without gen slowdown perks it's next to impossible to assert any amount of control over the game. Gen tapping is one of the most annoying things I've come across and I don't understand why it's even a thing still - it takes me several seconds to kick a gen (which does basically nothing) and they can just tap it, even mid chase with no drawbacks.

I'm all for getting better as killer and I am trying, but it feels like I'm playing at 110% all the time and it's too stressful knowing that the survivors aren't even having to try, as evidenced by them constantly clicking their flashlights at me and dicking about. I've bought some of the DLC killers that I thought would fit my playstyle more and to get more perks but every game just feels like a bullying free-for-all for the survivors and it's making me actively detest this game. There's no happy medium for difficulty, it went from potato-brained survivors which wasn't fun to swf groups that make me want to throw my monitor out of the window.

Because this game has poor balancing and will always favor swfs

  • @Blueberry said:

And that's you not having enough experience in the game to understand that.

Nah you're just one of those high hour no skill players, get good buddy, you hate to see someone with much less hours being much better than you huh

Got my ass handed to me as a killer. I could only hook 1 guy. It's been like this match after match. All red ranks.

Now I have to be that guy who face camps as cannibal.

During the day I can find matches around the same level as me. Makes it more of a fair game.

The match I posted above were pwf and trippled flashlight me while carrying someone. They knew where I was at all times.

That's matchmaking for you, something that has been discussed countless of times. Instead of facecamping, try to analyze how they play, You'll learn something even if you lose instead of ruining the game for one player
