I bet you also play in dbd tournaments and consistently 4k with legion

Nemesis should not have any infection mechanic at all:
- tentacle Tier 3 from the start
- tentacle hurts always
- no vaccine BS, that made BHVR rework Franklin's Demise because they are unable to get it to work with vaccine
- no ugly-af blue color on everything (I cant believe noone ever said how unfitting this blue is for DBD or RE or Horror, its like I someone was hugged by a stripper with blue glitter on her body)
This would give Nemesis more consistancy and would give us the chance to see if he needs adjustment to his power (nerfs/buffs).
Dear BHVR! There is no need to overcomplicate everything! It just forces more bugs on your side!
That would make him a boring killer with no unique aspect besides zombies. He's basically a ranged killer with henchmen

My mind is open, I think you should open yours, classic killer mains. And you are probably the one who hasn’t graduated, go and play some Fortnite man.
You're right i havent graduated, i skipped 2 high school years and went straight for my degree. I main killer but unlike you, i clearly know how to play both sides

Rank 1 with 100 hours? So now I know why I keep getting trash killers.
Not everyone runs dead hard, just so you know it barely even works. You get exhausted on the ground.
You need to get better at the game.
Oh you want me to list every other exhaustion perk that gives you another chance? Open your mind a bit, i won't expect to fully understand what i meant, you probably haven't graduated. Exhausted on the floor? It happens to you a lot cause you're greedy instead of playing safe
-
I just got my adept billy today, it was my last and most tedious. Killer has a high skill floor and not rewarding when you're good at it.

After playing the tutorials with bots, your customizations will be reset for survivor after playing the survivor trial, and killers after playing the killer trial.
Still free bloodpoints, but a heads up for those who don’t really care about them!

Really? Because that is not true, I would rather play an autohaven wreckers than haddonfield. You probably play basement bubba man, come on.
basement bubba? lmao i got rank 1 killer 100hrs in the game with all the adepts 600 hrs in. Ive been playing survivor a lot more and i just realized how easy it is, always getting carried by maps and perks.
Make 1 mistake as a killer? Lose gens, get closer to losing
Make 1 mistake as survivor? Get hit
Make another? Dead hard
Make another? Down
Killer slugs? Unbreakable, repeating the last 2 steps
Unhooked? Repeat everything until you finally die

We can't even have an exciting new chapter release without it being overshadowed and plagued by bugs, glitches, disabled maps, server crashes and cosmetic scams. This is a nightmare for the community and the overwhelming amount of new players coming in. They deserve better than this, yeah the content is exciting to attract new players to the game. But BHVR, how in the Hell do you expect to retain those players let alone keep your veterans if you can't even have a successful launch of a chapter anymore? This is the buggiest chapter for a license I have ever seen. I am on PS4 and I can't even play your game. New players are having a horrible first impression of the game. This entire chapter is a nightmare and BHVR you should be ashamed. I praise you when you do things right but you deserve a lot of criticism when it's warranted. Right now it's more warranted than ever, get your act together. The Dead By Daylight Community deserves better than this.
Playing on pc so no game breaking bugs, but it is a pain for console players and NEW players, players that were drawn in by the RE dlc only to have behavior ######### on their faces.
Imo i don't think we should be able to unlink the legendary cosmetics, i don't want claire's head on jill's face. At least it says that you're playing as claire or chris

They have looping skills equivalent to the avg purple rank survivors, so much better than most of the players

So here is my idea
When you reach prestige I everything is the same, you go back to level 1, lose your perks and items etc.
But on prestige II all perks in the bloodweb when you level up will already be tier II.
And on prestige III the perks on the bloodweb will be tier III.
It would make prestige a bit more worth and would greatly reduce the grind whem you max out a character.
Tell me if you think that's a good idea or not.
I love it, with this alot of players can get prestige easily and then they can implement new uses for bloodpoints (skins etc).

Shows how much killer-sided this game is. Something needs to be done.
This game is Killer-sided? Get good lmao. You play solo queue so expect useless teammates, this is the same in every other game (csgo, dota, lol). Having 4 survivors with half a brain is enough to consistently win games.
-
@Northener1907 said:
Why all maps survivor side? Killer is hated role, is that reason? Lets really discus about this. What is reason? Survivors already strong role with numbers, why survivors have all advantages?
I know someone will come and will say "Hawkins and Silent Hill is killerside" but they are not actually. This maps have different loop than other maps. You just need keep loop longer, not on one pallet or window. You have to use 3 and more pallet for loop in one area and both maps have so much pallets already.
Reworked maps are super survside. And devs adding funny breakable walls. "Killers have already so much time so lets add breakable walls and make them more busy."
Majority of maps are survivor side (coldwind, ormond, gideon (for most killers), red forest, and a few macmillan maps depending on rng). Why? because a majority of players are survivor mains, that's why queue times take a while. Killers simply require more skill and brains to play, and are more interesting as you don't have to do boring chores like gens. That's why the biggest dbd content creators are killer mains.

I've been reading the 50,000 threads on Nemesis and this is what I got from all of them:
So some Nemesis players want to have zombies pursue survivors that are infected, have more zombies depending on map size, Nemesis to have longer reach, have a wider hitbox on tentacle, hit survivors and break pallet while survivors are sliding over pallets, also infect and damage on the same hit. Did I get all of that?
You need survivors in the game to play and no survivor is going to play against all of that. This game needs killers that are balanced for the health of the game which is what we were given and some want an easy 4k machine.
I appreciate those that know Nemesis is balanced. This forum is full of complaints about game balance, killers like Nemesis are part of creating that balance.
I've seen people talk about the entitlement in this community and it's very obvious.
Zombies are perfect right now, although they have to programmed to stay away from the basement.
Tier 3 isn't anything crazy, sure it's a power that you keep throughout the game but a simple 1m range increase won't do much, maybe have his m2 missed attack cd reduced or have him break pallets along and hit survivors simultaneously, nerfing his mutation add ons in the process.

I'm talking about the advantage/disadvantage to those who buy the DLC. If it comes out in 2 minutes, you can buy it and immediately play it. Doing it the way you're saying would imply downloading the update first, then having access to it.
Your way is just worse. There's no shame in admitting you were wrong.
what's wrong with having to download the update first? That's how alot of games work. If i can finish downloading in no time, why can't i get the dlc immediately?
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272680#Comment_2272680
But it would be disadvantageous compared to how they're doing it.
There's no advantage or disadvantage to the devs for releasing dlcs along with updates , sure they may get money faster but that's not really a pro. This has always been their formula, releasing dlcs an hour after the update instead of having everything together. I mean an hour doesn't mean as much now as i'm killing time replying to all these
-
@Pepsidot said:
You can purchase each character separately in the in-game DBD store for auric cells. I presume they wait to release it on the steam store since (I presume again) they get more of the profits via in-game purchases.
yeah this is the only sensible answer, they want the players who can't wait to purchase all 3 with auric cells, and then pay the full price for the dlc to get the skins
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272660#Comment_2272660
And you'd get the content later than if they did it this way.
If the initial post the devs made about the update was that it would be released on X time along with the dlc, no one would complain about getting the content later.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272621#Comment_2272621
The pros of doing it this way is that it's like pre-loading a game. You then just need to download a decryption key (or, in this case, buy the DLC) to immediately gain access to the content and start playing. The pros of doing it like you said are... none.
So no, there are no cons to doing it like you're saying, technically speaking, but this way is better.
the pros of doing it 'my way', is that players who finished downloading the game can try the dlc immediately.

So you do, in fact, wish that the update had been delayed an hour? Whatever for? Isn't it better to be ready for the dlc drop so you can instantly unlock it and start playing?
Not 'delayed', but announce a date and time where both can be released at the same time. What are the cons to releasing the dlc along with the update? there are multiple players who can download the update in 5 minutes but can't use the new characters.

Iron will, dead hard, lucky break plus any perk. You still have to deal with all those as a killer,

So you would rather the update be delayed by an hour? The DLC itself has a fixed release time. That's how licensing contracts usually work, at least.
Nope that's not how it works, either two parties agree on the release date or one of them proposes it to the other. It just doesn't make sense why we can't have the dlc released with the update, people want to get these characters along with their dlc exclusive skins and you're not letting them.

It is coordinated 4 man SWF sided. These teams are rare, and yes, they do need a nerf because of their potential. However, as I said, these teams are rare. You can't call this game survivor sided because of games that take place less than 1% of the time.
Yes SWFs who are very good are hard to come across, however u don't need to be a very skilled SWF to outmatch a killer, all you need is map offerings and have full loadouts to turn the game in your favor from the beginning

Talking about general balance is pointless. In my opinion at red rank here's how things match up.
- Killer vs solo q? Killer is stronger
- Killer vs baby swf? Killer is stronger
- Killer vs average swf? Draw
- Killer vs good swf? Swf is stronger
- Nurse vs good swf? Nurse is stronger
This games balance is too awkward to call. If someone says the game is balanced then killers will say "a good swf is op" but will ignore the "but vs a good nurse they will lose".
Nurse vs good SWF? Watch a few dbd tournament matches, the recent hexy one will show you how weak a god nurse is against the best survivors

@Trickstaaaaa said:
For me the most overrated perk for survivor is dead heart. There have been so many times were dead heart does not work for me, and it has to be used when injured so it won't work vs insta downs. Not only that once the killer knows you have it you won't have a second chance to use it usually. The most underrated perk for me is detective hunch, since it's deja vu and plunders all in one perk. Plus it's the only perk that show the exact location where totems are located at. I'm surprised killer only users have not have called for the perk to be nerfed, then again... it's probably because it's underrated and not used a whole lot. The most overrated perk for killers in my opinion is corrupt innervation since all survivors have to do is wait it, and if you have a totem they can go looking for it. The most underrated perk for me is going to be eruption I know it's not officially out but hear me out, I used it on the PTB with surge and they work so well together. Plus that is the only perk in this game that make survivors incapacitated, I can already see situations were survivors might be close to finishing gens and if you down someone, that perk can prevent other survivors from finishing the gen for 14 seconds.
We'll make it, SWFs will always have a lot of BTs and none of these, really makes sloppy and slugging useless
-
@CornMoss said:
As soon as I booted up the game this morning I have been only getting matches against insane survivors mostly in SWF with the best ######### (DS, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, BT, etc.). Literally untouchable, they somehow can heal everyone constantly and get gens done at the same time. I am not playing a weak killer as well (blight). At this point I think MMR may show the devs the power of SWF and the imbalance in this game cause this is too much, can barely secure 2 kills
That's weird, everytime an MMR update comes out, i always get matched with purple/green rank self care urban evasion survivors regardless of the killer i play. When i play solo survivor, it's always against 2 digit ranked killers
-
@indieeden7 said:
Why are we talking about balance and pips in the same discussion? They don't really have anything to do with each other.
im saying that winning/pipping as a survivor requires so much less skill, you don't have to do anything when you're carried by broken maps, add ons and the random rng
-
@EvilJoshy said:
Anyone who tells me the game is killer sided I just bring up this fact.
Ruin+Undying took 3 months to nerf. DS took 4 years /mic drop
don't forget OoO, 'not overpowered according to the statistics as the users have a low escape rate'
-
@CoalTower said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2253771#Comment_2253771
There's no need to. I'd be listing at least 75% of everything in this game if I listed everything balanced. However, I can count on one hand the number of unbalanced things.
1.) Spirit.
2.) Spawn Locations.
3.) The disparity between SWF and Solo Queue.
4.) Gen speeds with an efficient team.
That's exactly my point, SWFs are way too strong and majority of maps favor them. Even if everyone says it's SWF sided, it's still survivor sided in general.
-
@MrsGhostface said:
They’ve been catering to killers for months now. Stop.
How so? Sure we've got our DS and OoO nerf, definitely broken and had to be nerfed asap. There hasn't been a major rework for a single killer, sure wraith is decent now, clown has no improvement and the two top killers are nurse and spirit. Reworked maps favor survivor, Gideon with all the pallets, coldwind with the lighting, macmillan with the thinnest grass and very rng reliant. Wonder how they're gonna rework red forest, already a huge map with 30+ safe pallets next to each other.

@Mechanix82 said:
I dont think its sided either way. My feeling is its balanced around a weak link or two even. As it is a 4vs1, I dont think BHVR ever thought teams would be this good. The best experiences ive had as killer is mixed usual. Maybe 2 reds 2 purples or something of that nature. The game feels balance with mixed teams with the conclusion being equally fun for both sides. I've been at rank 1 killer most of the time depip to rank 2 occasionally. Playing against a group of rank ones solo q or squads is not balanced. The amount of 2 chance perks, gen speed, body blocking, all of this is fine i understand its part of the game, but when you are in a 4v1 scenerio this becomes overwhelming to the single player. When all survivor tricks and perks are happening at once. Can i get a win against a good 4 man or solo q team? Yes, but it is based on cocky behavior or small mistakes on their part. Thats the biggest problem with this game is its dictated by the survivor team how well the killer can do.
Second chance perks aren't a problem, DS and OoO were broken af and they're now much better. The problem is killers are always expected to drop the chase and look for the weak link, but that's not possible in a solid SWF when everyone knows what they're doing. Most maps also favor survivors, meaning luring survivors to a deadzone is very hard to do. RNG favours survivor more than killer, and the game constantly adds new reworked maps and breakable walls to favour them

When you play Killer who do you get the most wins with and why? Certain playstyles lend themselves to certain Killers so I'm curious to know which ones you all find most intuitive!
I have the most fun with Legion but am the worst Killer in existence. I'm so bad at it! That said I have to go out of my way to not get a 4k with perkless level 1 Doctor. I don't have any Killers to rank 40 and any BP I get with Killers go to my Survivors. (The only exception is Legion who I've taken to 15) So I think that makes Doctor mine.
Easiest killer would be wraith, teaches u the basics of the game (stealth, finding survivors, hit and run)
-
@Noth1ngY3t said:
They 100% need to make it so your health doesn’t go down if the killer is near you longer than a second.
They can maybe add a killer perk that increases the time how long you can be near the survivor.
And a survivor perk that increases the radius of the effect so they can stay on the hook longer.
A killer who camps is most likely a bad killer, imagine getting downed by one

If you’re a good looper then great, but when you’re in a match like I described where people are getting downed left and right, it’s painfully obvious that NOBODY is a good looper, lol! If you’re not a good looper, quit attracting the killer’s attention!
If they're not decent at looping, probably aren't good players to begin with.

I've tried everything, i've tried different builds, different addons, i've even tried a slow-down build. Nothing has helped it, Survivors just keep on looping around the shack and stuff and i just end up looking like a joke
I have Asperger's, i don't need to be made fun of by survivors because because of a killer that is overdue for another buff and makes the Nurse look like Road-Runner *meep meep*
i know the Devs say they'll look into it at the mid-chapter patch, so until i hear news of good buffs for Trickster, i'm giving up on it
Trickster is still better than clown and definitely much better than legion

I don’t get it. Certain rounds go by and it’s like nobody tries to hide when a person is hooked even when it is completely obvious that it’s in play. Just had one against a Blight that would down people across the map mere seconds after a hook. These aren’t noobs either they’re in red ranks like I am. What is it? Cockiness? Some random challenge? Or is it they just don’t care? I get a little flustered waiting ten minutes for a match only to find people not even trying to win.
Just gonna point this out
Survivors need to know when to hide in lockers from BBQ and when not to. I've seen countless survivor teammates who constantly go in lockers whenever a killer hooks, even when they are clearly not 40 meters away. Also good survivors don't mind the killers seeing them, that's why old OoO was broken. We gotta show off those looping skills.

I think it's going to be like the Midwich map. The devs know it's problematic, but they can't do anything about it, since it's up to the license holders to decide what they want the map to be like.
Midwich while bad, isn't as big as RPD. Also i think with licensing, the devs get the rights to locations (midwich, hawkins, RPD). So the license holders don't play in the designing of the map, besides ofc giving the source material for referencing
