I thought it was a bit strange that The Judgment has the exact same voice line as Henry - "I am inevitable"
I don't mind voice lines as they are now, and it's a nice touch when your survivors talk to each other.
However, when they are adding voice lines to the OG survivors, I want to be able to turn those off. And if they replace the screams and other sounds like they did with Steve, I am not sure I could even play anymore.
And if they replace the screams and other sounds like they did with Steve, I am not sure I could even play anymore.
I think this is not unlikely. Which is why I am wondering why people want voicelines for OG characters. It is very likely that the voice actors are not around anymore (some voices were recorded 10 years ago), so we will probably see new voices for old characters. And this was already very unpopular with Steve, his pickrate dropped to basically 0, he is one of the rarest Survivors I encounter nowadays.

His Wolf form should be 4,4 and the Haste Orbs should grant it 4,6. He should not be 4,8 with the Haste orbs.

They nerfed Sauna Rock and Party Noisemaker, he is definitely weaker now.
The amount of bad takes on this forum is unreal.
The amount of people who only focus on selective things to prove their point is unreal. You cannot just look at the Nerfs he got and ignore what got better on him.
@Topic:
Jason does not need a Rework and he certainly wont get one this early after Release. However, he deserves some change, like:
- A Cooldown on how often he can reload on Hooks. There are many Hooks on the Maps (which is a good thing), but considering that there are also the crates, there are too many Hooks for him as a ressource, especially if he can just reload in chase without losing distance
- His Haste needs to be drastically reduced, it does not make sense to have him on 4,4 m/s, when this is only the value on Paper and he is on 4,6 m/s all the time.
Those are things which might need some testing. But those are things which could have happened yesterday without issue:
- Remove all those extra Teleport Spots he has on the Maps. I dont know why spots where no Pallet has spawned need to have some rubble he can teleport to. There are more than enough spots for him to appear basically anywhere.
- Remove his ability to see Totems being cleansed. Yes, TOTH is getting nerfed, but this wont change his most obnoxious Build. Obviously depends on what they do when they actually rework TOTH, but I think that side objectives should not be made too hard, so IMO the ability to see Totems being cleansed can go away.

I think a lot of people will actually care, but why exactly you wont?
At this point I have basically seen everything which is on the PTB. I usually am on the PTB for a few hours max when it drops, but there is no point in doing that anymore.
-
@SpyUA said:
We will still have the PTB later, I think next Tuesday
I guess not many people will really care for that. I certainly wont.
-
They will not do that. Since it might discourage people from loading up the game. If for example the Killer queues are 8 minutes and you see it ingame when queueing up, you might as well still queue up and do something else while waiting or go for Play While You Wait.
But if you see beforehand that Killer queues are 8 minutes, you might consider not playing at all.

We already have one? I feel like "Escaped" and "Dead" are pretty self-explanatory. Same with Merciless Killer and Entity Displeased.
It is "The Entity Hungers". "Entity Displeased" was too hard for some, so the Devs changed it.
Yep.

Yess I love Laura rift skin we got but can only take so many games of her screaming AWOAH, NO NO NO at start of chase.
What triggers me the most is the "Put me down"-voiceline when picked up. This sounds so bad, this sounds like someone complaining when their friend picks them up and not someone who is about to be hooked.
@vol4r said:
I don't enjoy them either.
That's why I don't play Lara - even tho I think she is amazing character look-wise.
I would like this to work separately on every character - I enjoy Rick's and Eleven's voicelines but I hate Lara's, Steve, Nancy.
Yes, the ideal scenario would be to have it for every Character. E.g. I enjoy Wesker or Unknown quite a bit, especially Unknown has amazing voicelines. But I dont like many other characters and so I would wish a Toggle.
I would not mind if it is an universal Toggle for the start, this would already help a lot. Especially if we consider that older characters will get voicelines as well.

It would be nice if categories didn't cap out at 10k and instead the base score just capped at 40k.
Been saying this for years. Obviously this is more of a Survivor issue, since Killer BPs all fill up at the same time for the most part, but if you just do a lot of Gens as Survivor, you cap out at some point and gain nothing afterwards. Or as OP, who apparently only got chased and does not really gain anything from it.
But some Killers are also affected, some have a hard time getting Deviousness Points for example.
Just removing the Category Caps but keeping the overall Cap would be the perfect solution.

It is an Early Access PTB for Content Creators. You can earn Drops to gain early access as well by watching said Content Creators. Otherwise, as far as I know, you will be able to join the regular PTB in a few days.
-
Fully agreed. I dont even know why the Devs ignore this topic. It would be a complete win to bring a Voiceline Toggle to the game, people who enjoy voicelines can still enjoy them, people who dont enjoy them are not annoyed by them.

Yeah tbf, having a 1 in 5 chance of onryo getting midwich every time I go against her is the literal definition of giga bad.
Yeah. I just think if someone really wants to bring an Offering which improves their odds of winning instead of a BP-Offering, they should not be able to bring a BP Offering.
If someone wants to burn a Map Offering for the 1 in 5 chance, they should do that, but they risk not getting it AND getting less BPs. Which is a fair trade off. But being able to just throw in a Map Offering all the time while bringing an Escape Cake/Survivor Pudding…Nope.
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Mmm. Interesting idea, but i don't think I want to see mori, hatch and oak offerings in every single game.
Maybe a second slot for map offerings since they rarely pop anyway and it could be like some kind of vote system
Nah, that would be giga-bad.
The good thing about current Map Offerings is that if someone wants to try their luck to hit the 1 in 5 chance to get the map, they at least have some risk to get it. With 2 Offering Slots with one being a slot dedicated for Map Offerings, the risk would be non-existent, it would just be a 20% Chance of getting the Map you want without any downside.

A few issues with how you set this up
1: Constantly - people talk more about severity than frequency, BHVR doesn't do updates that frequently, especially with the new way they are approaching mid chapters
2: Fast Track Side grade - seriously, how is that a side grade?
3: Nerfs being deserved - lots of things in the game may or may not be deserved, that has nothing to do with whether one side is bearing the brunt of it.
A year and a half ago when the quality of life was announced, survivors were told that BHVR understood not enough attention had been paid to their side. Instead since 9.2 which was when so many issues on the survivor were supposed to be addressed, they've lost anti-hemorrhage syringe (not a side grade or a buff despite some absurd claims), Styptic Agent was outright murdered, Conviction nerfed, OTR nerfed, Hope nerfed, and killer aura read on keys just gone. You also have things like Fast Track getting buffed, then nerfed, and the planned increase of unhook protection getting removed as well. Survivors lost quite a few of their strongest things, are going to lose more, and this all came after a promise to address the biggest complaints.
Some of the things above should have been changed. Some absolutely deserve what they got, some didn't, and some where done poorly, but its been a a massive change from the directions survivors were being told the direction of the game was going, which really leads to the feeling that survivors are just getting kicked around by the devs.

Very well said. This is also my main point why I am not really excited for anything new for Survivor at this point, since I know that Killers will protest and that it is very likely that BHVR will bend their knee to them. Just happened with Cross-Examination, a Perk which was so insanely mid and still people complained about it. I have barely seen it before its Nerf, which might also be due to the fact that people did not bother playing it because they knew it was nerfed, but it was once again something which got nerfed before hitting the Live Servers to gain actual Data. And this is the fourth or fifth time where something like that happened.
And this makes me think that whenever a Perk which might change my Build or might change the Meta for Survivor might be released, Killers will protest and it will be weakened significantly and become irrelevant. Killers at least get options to play around with, e.g. Turn Back the Clock as a very good Regression-Perk which allows to have some Build variety.
But the Anti-Tunnel and Anti-Slugging Update is basically what killed my vibe completely. They said in the past that they want to address those issues, but in the end, they probably did not care too much about it, given the fact that they will now remove the only thing which was left of Anti-Tunnel (aside of the Survivor Nerfs of course), which is the extra 5 seconds of Unhook protection. And I am still very sure that they should have just brought the Anti-Tunnel and Anti-Slugging to live and see how it actually plays out on the Live Server, because I think that a) it would not have been that bad for Killer and b) Tweaks were totally possible.
And last but not least, I am also feeling bad for the people who worked on that stuff. They spend actual time to think and develope those measurements and then someone decided to throw it away in a second. It must be incredibly frustrating to work on something for months and then all your work is just poured down the drain, because some players were really loud and concerned about things which were really not that bad and could have been tweaked. I would honestly thinking about quitting my Job at a company which "values" my work like some piece of trash.
-
I think this sounds really boring. It would be the same gameplay, just more Perks. Might just be interesting to see how the game is played with 5 Perks, since this is something people sometimes suggest, but nothing more.

They have banned all cheaters I have reported. Last cheater they banned with three other people getting most likely temp bans was just before the anniversary when one cheater was Medic heal spamming and the three others were abusing it with the cheater t-bagging the killer. This even proves that they do ban and they do punish people who abuse the cheaters abilities intentionally.
They ban, but there are two issues:
First, it takes them very long to actually ban people. I know that they ban in waves, but the last Cheater I reported played for 2 months before they finally got banned. They had a Steam-Profile full of people saying they were cheating AND another account which already got banned for the same type of Cheats. So you have a person who is cheating every game AND is doing ban evasion… Is it really not possible to ban them quicker? Like come on.
And second, they ban, but only after someone reports the Cheaters. There are no measurements to prevent the Cheating at all. And some things can and will hopefully be done when they have rewritten the code. It should be possible that the game auto-kicks people who move way quicker than they should. Or hit someone with less cooldown than the game makes possible. Or who outright flies around. Those things are possible and they should be in the game. Would obviously do less against things like save injecting, but to be honest, I would not care too much about it. While those people also should be banned, I dont personally care if someone cheats themselves 600 of every Item or cheats themselves Cosmetics, since it does not affect me in the slightest.
But for the other things, there need to be Server-sided Checks.

The important point I do want to emphasize regarding The Slasher is that these stats only take into account his first 2 weeks in the game. During this time, players were still very much figuring out his counterplay, which likely had an impact on his kill rate. Rest assured, we're continuing to monitor his kill rate over time to see how this evolves.
Yes, please downplay it so you dont have to nerf him too quickly.
It obviously goes both ways, in those 2 weeks players who played Jason will most likely not played him to the full potential and tanked the Killrate quite a bit.

it’s the other way around, we need to buff perks like Balance Landing and Smash Hit up to par, not butcher them.
True. I remember back then when they nerfed Balanced Landing that I said that we will see more DHs and Sprint Bursts and people will complain about it next. Then they nerfed DH and I said we will see more Sprint Bursts. Now they nerf Sprint Burst and we will see more Lithe. Guess what is next…
When it comes to buffing Perks, the thing is, I think some are really hard to buff. I mean, you can buff Balanced Landing by giving it back its Stagger Reduction. There are no spots on the Maps anymore which can become problematic because of the Stagger Reduction. Sure, there are Windows which dont feature a Doorway next to them, but you wont make it around without the BL-Speedboost. So I dont even think that buffing BL in that way would make it actually better.
It can be 4 seconds of Haste. In the end, it is far more situational than Lithe for example and not even useable on some maps.
Smash Hit on the other hand would need a secondary effect to be good. Because otherwise I dont see any way to make the Perk useable. It already has a lower Exhaustion Timer than other Perks (not that it matters too much), but it relies on so many things. The Killer themselves, how they play and even latency.

If we only nerf the strongest killers without touching the strongest survivor perks it'll make all killer even worse and people will still play the strongest killers. Need to do is nerf the strongest survivor perks then we can nerf the strongest killers which will make the weaker killers more viable without even touching them.
Except that nerfing the strongest Killers will just not happen. There are obvious things you can do against Ghoul for example. They dont happen. There are things which can easily be nerfed right now for Jason, nothing happened.
Nurse gets a slap on the wrist for years. Blight got Nerfs, which did barely anything. But what is certain that more Survivor Perks will be nerfed, whatever is the next reason why Killers lose.
The ideal way would be to nerf the strongest Killers AND buff the weakest KIllers and THEN evaluate what needs nerfing on the Survivor Side. And this obviously in a much quicker way than BHVR is doing.

Yes, im aware of that. But a S tier killer or jason, or others youve mentioned like stated dont care about sprint burst. So a lower tier killer. Who does have to respect it. Is made weaker by comparison. Thus people jump to the ones that dont care. So then people gravitate to what we have now. Unless we want to lower all killers to be hit by it equally and then just make it the most broken perk in the entire game. I just wanna see the solution here. Because people wanna preserve the m1 killers being m1 (myers rework backlash) and not just throw haste on them. But this perk hits them more than any other. So i was just wondering if ya had the idea that wont eventually have to get it hit down the line anyway for being the hold w opposite direction perk.
Then the correct step would be to nerf those Killers instead of keep nerfing things on Survivor, if the things that get nerfed, dont affect the strong Killers in a meaningful way.
But honestly, I dont care too much about it. I will just expect the "Nerf Lithe"-Posts in a few months, because then Lithe is the reason Killer Mains are losing games.

I mean if the perk is one of the things affecting them being played and we dont "want everyone to be dash slop" what is the best solution here?
Yeah, no. M1-Killers are just the scapegoat, nothing more. People will not suddenly start to play the weaker Killers if they can play the high Tiers, especially if they are so easy like Ghoul or Jason.

Getting changed was long over due it was hurting the slow M1 killers the most. All other exhaustion I have no issues with cause they all require the survivor player to do something to get value out of it which mostly happens during chase.

Cant wait to go against some Clowns or Bubbas instead of the constant Blight, Jason and Ghoul :3

The only thing I agree with is the time it takes to read. I have thousands of hours in this game but I also dont know every Perk (especially the really bad ones, since I read them once, used them once in the Adept and thats about it), so even I have to read. Will be even harder for players with less experience.
I think at least your own Perks should be shown in the Loading Screen. But on the other hand, I understand why they are not doing it, because there is a risk that players would DC in the loading screen if they dont have good Perks.

However, there has been a Bug in the past were Items got incorrect Add Ons, you are probably confusing it with that. I dont know what exactly triggered it, but there has been a Bug like this.

Ds is not the best anti-tunnel tool actually, it's Shoulder the burden, a better anti-tunnel tool which can be combined with ds and it's a guarantee win if killer tunnels, if DS is "best Anti-tunnel tool" but killer can just tunnel through then I feel like it wouldn't be such a meta and something else would be used instead of it like off the record maybe, like DS is literally the reason it's easy to win against tunneling.
I dont really count Shoulder the Burden, mainly because I am not playing in a 4 man SWF. So for me it is random if a teammate even has Shoulder the Burden and if they actually know when to use it.
Same the other way around, if I use Shoulder the Burden, I would have no guarantee that the Survivor actually makes use of it and does not throw themselves away immediatly.

If ds was that bad that you can tunnel through it then it wouldn't be meta, it's meta for a reason, tho as a Henry main I love sniping the survivors after they use ds as they feel they are safe and just hold W with no thought of dodging and of killer being able to down them quickly (it's still hard to snipe them and takes skill, just so you don't start saying Henry is a brain-dead killer, he is countered by DH still).
It is just the best Anti-Tunnel measurement which is available. But DS being the best Anti-Tunnel tool is the same as me saying that I am the best basketball player in my home. It is true, but meaningless.

Ah yeah killers only get buffed and the evil evil survivors get only nerfs grrrr 😡
Let's ignore that in the last couple of years that the Pallet Density Update happened, Anti Camp Update happened, Anti Tunnel Update happened, the top perks like pop, pain resonance, eruption and so on got nerfed multiple times, generator kick regression changes, skull merchant getting a labotomy, knight rework that made him weaker, chucky nerfs, blight nerfs, diminishing returns and so on.
I know Survivors are entitled but man this forum is something else
I mean, someone can have your opinion, if you ignore that Survivors also got Nerfs and that some things got reverted or that Killers got Buffs to compensate for Nerfs they got.
Anti-Camp for example is completely meaningless, since Killers keep saying that it is Anti-FACE-Camping (except when they want to complain about Killers getting Nerfs, then it is Anti-Camp suddenly). I have only seen a handful of times that someone could unhook themselves due to Anti-Camp, this is completely in the control of the Killer. Heck, I even got camped with Insidious a few days ago, because the Killer was able to hook me in Basement and still camp me, because I was too far away when it comes to vertical distance.
Pallet Density happened and got mostly reverted. You know what did not get reverted? The Nerfs to Main Buildings. Some Main Buildings got their breakable Walls removed (Gas Heaven, Storehouse), some got Pallets removed (Aylum) and some got strong Windows removed (Chapel). All to compensate for a Pallet Density Update which got largely reverted.
Anti-Tunnel Update never happened. Killers made sure that it does not happen and since then we got many good Survivor things reverted, because Killers know by now that they just need to complain enough.
When it comes to Perks, again, both sides got Perks nerfed. And some got reverted. PGTW is almost as strong as it was in its strongest version. Pain Res and Eruption clearly were nerfs which were needed (especially Eruption, nobody can think that Incapacitated on Eruption was a healthy thing… if you even played during that time and are not just parotting other Killer Mains).
Generator Kick Limit is always something I am a bit baffled when people complain about it. Aside from it being needed due to Killers actions (holding a 3-gen from the start, no, this is not the fault of the Survivor if it happens from the start), Killers actually got away better. They lost the ability to kick Gens an infinite amount of times, yet 8 times is almost never reached in regular gameplay. But they also got an increase in the initial kick regression (2,5% —> 5%) and the removal of gentapping. I mean, we can remove the limit and add back Gentapping and reduce the initial kick regression. People like you should accept it, because they dont know that they got the better end of the stick there.
Chuckys scamper nerf was needed. Sorry, but just waiting until a Pallet is dropped to scamper under it to get a free hit is bad gameplay. Blight also deserved its Nerfs and they barely do anything.
And finally, Diminishing Returns… I think Survivors also got the shorter end of the stick here. They had far more Perks which synergized with each other and which are not really useable anymore. Things like Luck Stacking, stacking healing or Haste stacking were mainly done by Survivors. Meanwhile Killers are not that much affected outside of very certain builds, but the most popular things (Slowdown and Aura Read) are barely affected.
-
The funny thing is that Killers who tunnel right now in Chaos Shuffle simply never realized that they should just tunnel through things like DS in the regular gamemode. Anti-Tunnel measurements are small inconveniences and nothing which will really impact much, if the Killer player is any good.
Killer Players tunneling in Chaos Shuffle because of the lack of Anti-Tunnel while being afraid of it in the regular mode is the opposite of smart play.
-
The best Slowdown is always how well you play.
-
Cannot really confirm that, I cannot see that Indoor Maps appear more frequently than not. I get a good mix of Maps.
-
No. Previous iterations of Chaos Shuffle allowed that, the end result was that sweaty people just used the best stuff outside of Perks.
If you really can only play Killer with the best Add Ons, you should stick to the regular queue.
-

I think Survivor items should be random to make the mode fairer.
As much as I'd hate to get a useless map or a key and although I can only blind Killers at pallets 50% of the time (with only two beamer saves to my name, both of which I'm pretty sure were flukes), I still think Survivors should have totally randomised items. Randomising the Killer is a step too far, though.
I think Lights Out is unsalvageable but if you're wondering why Survivors are getting help in that mode, I have something like a 6% escape rate in Lights Out. I kinda hated it and will probably give it miss when it returns next week even with the base-kit Windows.
I think it is fine like it currently is in Chaos Shuffle.
And IMO I think that even in the normal mode, Items should be the power of the Survivor. This would also help to declutter the Bloodweb A LOT.

So… you don't understand how items work. Medkits are very impactful from a gameplay perspective and the same can be said for toolboxes if you are able to use them correctly. Like just say you want your side to be stronger and that you don't actually want to deal with random elements in the chaos game mode. You would look slightly less ridiculous than trying to justify yourself.
Mate, I think you are completely in the wrong here, lol. First time I get called killer-sided here in a long time. Shows that people who dont have arguments go to the "You are x-sided" very quickly. Thank you for proving that point, this time from the other perspective.
Anyway, you cannot be for real, seriously. Sure, there is some difference if you pick a good Toolbox or get a crappy Key, I will not argue with that. But it is not like you have much of a gameplay-change as Survivor.
As Killer on the other hand, if you get a random Killer, you might get a Killer you are not familiar with at all. Or which cannot be played in a meaningful way, e.g. when you are on console and the RNG gives you Nurse. Like, in theory I can play with every Killer in the game, since I played every Killer in the game. But this does not mean that I want to.
But as Survivor, I would have no issue playing Survivor with a broken Key. But again, this is not even the case, since Survivors can choose their own Items.
However, getting a random Killer is just too much randomness.

Lol no, sorry buddy but if I have to be stuck randomly with a broken key or a map then you can run the risk of getting skull merchant.
It is really not that hard to understand.
Item —> Does not affect gameplay in a big way. You still have to do the standard Survivor stuff.
Killer —> Completely changes the gameplay.

Sure and some survivors don't pick certain items for a reason. It's the same argument. Personally I'd be fine with either but it should be fair. Either everyone gets everything randomly or both sides get some control.
I mean, Survivors get to pick their Items, same with Killers. But even if you randomize the Item for Survivors (not saying that this should be done), randomizing a Killer is way too much. Like, I can still play Survivor just fine when the game gives me a Fog Vial randomly (the worst Item), but I would not like to have to play a Killer I completely dislike.
-
@esarraf said:
Oh by all means I'd love it if killers get randomly selected. Be hilarious seeing people randomly get like skull merchant.
This would be too much randomness IMO. Some people dont play certain Killers for a reason.
I would personally not mind this as an option, even for the normal queue, that you can pick 5 Killers you want to play and the game randomly selects one for you.
-
@DanielPaint1 said:
You can't argue with survivors, they will always find a way to talk you down. "You can choose which Killer you want to play" wow how generous 🙏
Yeah, but this is the same exact level of choice Survivors have. Survivors get to pick their Item, Killers get to pick their power. It is really the same.
And it is leagues better than previous Chaos Shuffle events where people only brought the strongest stuff they could choose (+ a Map Offering, but those are not an issue anymore).
-
Because BHVR decided that Survivors should be able to do it. Even last Chaos Shuffle. Killers survived.
But obviously we can also open Threads on the DBD Forum to complain about basically everything.
EDIT: And to be fair… You get to choose your "Item" as Killer. You decide which power you want to use.
-
If the new MMR is significantly different from the current one (I still doubt it), then they will probably be collecting data before they fire the new system. They did so with the current MMR as well.
There is no need for an MMR wipe. It would also not really make sense to do one.

Try to look at your own gameplay and if you REALLY, REALLY cannot do anything better. And I am very sure that you will notice that you were not playing as good as possible. And I can only repeat what I have written there already:
"If you really think it is completely impossible to win against SWFs, you are probably not good at playing Killer.
I am a mediocre Killer at best and even I manage to 4K 4 man SWFs, because most SWFs are just casual groups. Unless you want to claim you go against tournament SWFs all the time, but this would be a pretty obvious lie."
And every word of this is true, even 5 years later.

Yeah, I wish I was better so I could go against good surviviors.
Poor megs and mikaelas I go against are probably newbies.
BTW - offtopic here: I was playing with you yday! I was Vee who StB you for deli against bubba :D
Unlucky basement there.BTW - offtopic here: I was playing with you yday! I was Vee who StB you for deli against bubba :D
Unlucky basement there.Ah, that was you, haha. Sadly not my best game, at the start I did not want to sandbag you and ran into the Open and for some reason he left his chase and beelined towards me when I was healing quite far away from him after the Unhook. Could have clearly played that better.
Not a big deal to die, I was surprised that someone still plays Insidious Bubba in 2026, lol.

Yeah, game is totally survivor sided right now. Every escape that page shows is a DC. No one escaped me.
My poor opponenst didn't know that.
I am getting merciless after merciless after merciless. You can't make this up.
I can't defend statement that game is survivior sided if stats are like this. This is ridiculous.
Killer is easiest it has ever been and that's the fact. Everyone that is struggling to get 60% winrate is doing something wrong.
Well, you must be extremely low MMR /s
You know, the Killer Mains on the Forum here, they are on Gigachad-MMR. They are on a special Server with ONLY insane Survivors. Look, even Content Creators like Otz and Hens, who win almost all their games get Survivors way below their Skill Level. But they are not on that special Server, nono.

read my response to the other guy, it does matter and I’m tired of pretending otherwise
It really doesnt. According to Killer Mains at least. When Event Modes are killer-sided, the first thing Killers say is that they are just fun gamemodes which are not supposed to be balanced.
Then there is one time where a survivor-sided gamemode (10th anniversary) is around and THEN it is a huge issue? Come on.
People like you cannot just discard favouring one side as "Just a gamemode, you dont have to play it" and make it a huge problem when it favours the "wrong" side at the same time.

In my post i was more so referring to the meta perks, not every single perk created nowadays. Should have made it clearer tbh
Eh, I think overall perk design is falling apart due to just how many we have compared to how simple dbd is. I agree survivors get affected more just becouse we have a higher number of them compared to killers.
Pain Res, Deadlock and Corrupt aren't what they used to be in terms of strength. I kinda prefer the modern versions of latter 2. Facing builds with deadlock, noed, corrupt was never very interesting or fun. Pain Res can be wasted, you still need to down the survivor then judge if going for further scourge hook is worth it. I see quite a bit of people mismanaging this perk.
I mean, sure, Pain Res needs to be managed, you need to have some understanding of macro gameplay, because otherwise it hits a 2% Gen and is wasted completely. I see this when I play Survivor.
My point was more that the Perks also dont need much of a requirement to activate. Like, Pain Res is just doing normal gameplay things, Corrupt Intervention and Deadlock dont require anything from the Killer. Both sides have good Perks which dont require much to use.
And personally I am not against Perks without much effort which have strong effects. Because as I said before, most Perks designed nowadays (simply because it is more difficult to create Perks) just have unreasonable requirements for their effect. An easy example would be Apocalyptic Ingenuity, doing two Chests for a fragile Pallet (which also takes 4 seconds to create) is simply not worth it in any way, you will never extend the chase enough with this fragile Pallet to compensate for the time searching and opening/rummaging the Chest.
Another thing would be Overzealous, Repair Speed Increase sounds nice, but it only helps if you repair 3 Gens or so while not being injured after using the Perk. For Killers it is at least a bit better, because their activation requirements usually dont require them to go out of their way of normal gameplay AND they have the advantage of not all being played the same, so some Perks might actually find use on some Killers while Survivor Perks always have to compete with the best Perks.

I think The Nightmare would make a good movie. Some Dude being able to kill people in their sleep sounds awesome for a story.

So you admit that sprint burst + vigil were perks that survivors used for a crutch?
I just want to understand this here
Sprint Burst and Vigil are just the current flavors why Killers lose games. People who think they should 4K every game are complaining about them. And the same people complained about other Perks before. And will complain about the next Perks once the Nerfs went through.

For SB + Vigil combo, most mobility killers/top tiers do not care. It is unbelievably easy and busted as it gives you a good headstart/ability to reach safety for majority of the match against any killer that doesn't have a good mobility tool to close this distance. And this is the majority of killer players that do complain. And this combo is only getting toned down, SB and Vigil will still be in top 10 best survivor perks.
Survivor perk design has reached critical point where the effort you have to put to get these ridiculous effects is laughable. Killers do not really have any equivalences aside possibly NOED. You can reset yourself in 4s with resurgence (1.5s if you have lend a hand), pick up slugged teammates quickly and give them huge chunk of endurance, prolong the hook stage to 100s etc. My biggest concern when playing survivor isn't facing Nurse etc but hoping my teammates have a braincell or 2.
As for Ghoul. Putting aside how Nurse, Billy, Blight and Twins are better than him and should be looked at first, a soft rework encouraging actually cutting off people with your power should be made. But with how most average survivor teams aren't comfortable being injured I doubt Ghoul will ever be loved by the wider survivor community even if he became some low B tier killer

Meh, you are talking about Perks which are years old here. Perks were simpler back then. Todays Perk Design, especially for Survivor, is that you have to do a lot of time waste for an effect which is not worth the time wasted.
And lets not act as if Killer Perks like Deadlock, Corrupt Intervention or Pain Resonance really require that effort to use.
