  • All this shows is that the term "M1 Killer" really has no meaning.

  • @cammoking123 said:

Actually with Ghoul in his current state, SB and Vigil do nothing to him. He laughs at that perk and most top tier killers are only slightly inconvenienced by it. BHVR thinks a nerf to sprint burst will make more bottom tier killers viable, but all I think they did was make it easier for the top tier.

^ this. Whenever something on the Survivor Side gets nerfed or needs nerfing (according to Killer Mains), then the reasoning is "M1 Killers". This has just become a buzzword at this point. Because we all know that if Sprint Burst and Vigil are nerfed, people will not just suddenly drop their Ghoul, Blight or Jason and play Trapper or Ghostface instead.

The problem with weak Killers being weak is that there is an issue with those Killers. And not with the stuff Survivors have. Nerfing Sprint Burst and Vigil only benefits strong Killers, because those are actually played. Sure, there is the odd Trapper which will benefit from it, but if I look at my games, I barely go against M1-Killers.

Oh I know exactly how bad the internet can be. The fact that people sexualise plague lives in my head rent free. Honestly at this point I'm surprised we don't see threads thirsting after dredge.

But yeah it's a scale thing. Vast majority of them will go for the objectively attractive young characters. I remember ppl getting very aggravated that the old lady won the vote, even claiming it was rigged in the name of inclusion 🤣

I remember ppl getting very aggravated that the old lady won the vote, even claiming it was rigged in the name of inclusion 🤣

To be fair, they did a vote, the attractive lady won with the old lady second and then they did another vote between just those two. This was kinda odd tbh.

Not saying it is rigged, but it is quite obvious that more people did not want the attractive female Survivor and since they could not vote for their actual favourites anymore, they went for the old lady.

But as I said before, as long as she is played, this is fine. If nobody play her, then I will question why people voted for her in the first place.

  • Not enough Survivors playing. Usually it is a bit better in the evening, because more people play SWF. But in general it is longer and you have to wait at least 3 minutes in EU. (Evening, I dont try to queue up midday, will probably be way longer)

I think a lot of these characters suffer from lack of good skins. I like Haddie but her cosmetics suck, but Zarina wasn't popular and that Plague Doctor skin heavily boosted her. I see it all the time in my matches now, whereas I barely saw her before. Same thing with Jonah. He has no cosmetics and what he has sucks.

Yeah, but this is a self-reinforcing problem: Unpopular Characters dont get new Skins because it brings more money to give popular characters new Skins, which obviously does not help the unpopular characters.

And especially Haddie got a Skin every Patch at some point and it did not really boost her pickrate at all.

But in all seriousness I'm pretty stoked for aurora too, nice to have a surv from a new demographic.

In before all the gooners whine that we didn't get the young attractive surv off the vote.

Would not call myself a Gooner, but I also voted for her. Simply because attractive Survivors have a higher possibility to be played. Since the looks are the most important thing for a Survivor.

And honestly, I hope Aurora will also be played. But I would not be surprised if the community voted for a character they dont like afterwards. People already wanted Survivors who are not that attractive, we got Haddie and Taurie for example and nobody plays them. For every Haddie I see there is an army of Sables.

they were screenshots sent to me from a friend I met on the DBD discord server. We both main ghoul (though granted he also plays hella a lot of blight). If they are doctored imma be pissed at him LMAO. I trust that dude

I just checked on my own stats page and the BPs shown are without any Offerings. A game I had with very similar BPs (myself as Killer 35k, the Survivors 33k, 32k, 24k and 35k) was around 13 minutes. So it is not possible to gain those BPs in 3 minutes, especially if they are either 4 man slugs or just a Genrush. I mean, you cannot get those BPs if you just rush Gens, you will max out on Objectives but nothing else. Let alone that the Killer must have been AFK at this point and would also not gain over 30k BPs.

5 of the 10 yr anniversary cakes will do that + a few hooks/pallet breaks. Whilst I cannot speak for the survivors and what all they did exactly (since I was the killer in those games and not chasing all 4 survivors at the same time for obvious reasons (IE I cant be in 2+ places at onec)). It is very much possible to get that # of BP.

Then I want to see actual gameplay and not some modified screenshots.

  • @myersmain101 said:

and people expect killers to spread hooks lol when survivors actually play the game gens will fly. The game is just too fast paced, hence why so many go blight, ghoul, billy, pretty much any killer with speed. people will say "you need to pressure gens" or "skill issue" or somthing but reality is speed is the aim of the game these days. do gens fast, kill fast. dbd has lost its way smh, from a creepy fog filled horror feel treading slowly to avoid trappers traps to this speedy mess like everyone has had too much coffee. personally i think the only thing keeping this game alive are the licenses. without them, relying purely on actual fun gameplay mechanics, it would have died out long ago.

Do you really think it is possible that in 3 minutes 4 out of 5 players get well above 30k BPs and the fourth one gets 25k BPs? Those images are fake.

I wish those were 4k's, they were losses. To prove my point - look at under neath the ghoul where it says "brutal killer" or "the entity hungers" - those are exclusive to matches depending on how many survivors escape/are killed.

The result "Brutal Killer", "The Entity Hungers" are taken from the amount of escaped Survivors. Since 4 Survivors "escaped" (again, all abandoned), it counts as "The Entity Hungers".

So unless you say that those are your games, my point still stands. If those are your games, I want to see gameplay or call it staged.

EDIT: To be honest, this is most likely staged anyway. Looking at the amount of BPs, those are not the BPs everyone gets in a 3 minute game.

  • Survivors who abandon are shown as escaped in BHVRs stats, even if they obviously dont escape.

So those are 4Ks which happened in around 3 minutes.

firstly, how do you solve why people dc when people are dcing over such stupid reasons such as a map they dont want, they see a survivor with perks they dont like, one person made a mistake and failed a skill check? DC! they will literally dc over anything because they can. they are happy enough to play v killers they dont like such as ghoul, they do gens, they even get chased but dc when they get downed once. Do we give survivors a map selection to stop people dcing over a map they dont like? do we make sure people cant get downed once all match to stop people dcing?

secondly, killers have been in a rough place for the past few years. so much that even myself being a long time killer main has now stopped playing killer completly and only playing solo survivor. if survivor was that bad then i certainly wouldnt make the switch from killer to survivor. even in game chat, survivors have been pretty honest and open saying the game has become pretty survivor sided unless the killer is S tier. so i cant get onboard with this pitty party of hard done by survivors.

Do we give survivors a map selection to stop people dcing over a map they dont like? do we make sure people cant get downed once all match to stop people dcing?

This is always a thought-terminating cliché. There will always be people who DC about the most stupid things, you cannot avoid that. Could be the person who is downed first. Or maybe they got sandbagged by a teammate by accident. But I highly doubt that people encounter those players on a regular basis. What they encounter far more is people who DC because the Killer is Ghoul, Hex-Jason or a slugging Blight.

And those are things which can be changed. Like the last time I DCed was two days ago or so against a slugging Blight. In fact I abandoned because the game gave me the option, after I was slugged for 5 times and decided to not be part of it anymore. Now, would you say I am an entitled crybaby and the concern that a slugging build is unhealthy is not valid? I hope not. And the Devs will see that if certain Killers or certain Builds (or certain Killers WITH certain Builds) lead to a lot of DC or Abandons that this can and should be distinguished from people who DC because of a mild inconvenience.

Honestly, far too long now we punish people for leaving games instead of looking to remove those things which lead to those people leaving games. It is just baffling that in 2026, 10 years of a game, there is still something around like full slug builds for example.

secondly, killers have been in a rough place for the past few years. so much that even myself being a long time killer main has now stopped playing killer completly and only playing solo survivor. if survivor was that bad then i certainly wouldnt make the switch from killer to survivor. even in game chat, survivors have been pretty honest and open saying the game has become pretty survivor sided unless the killer is S tier. so i cant get onboard with this pitty party of hard done by survivors.

I dont know which Survivor Mains you mean saying that. The game has objectively become more killer-sided over the years and Survivor has become weaker. There is not even a discussion here, there cannot be a different opinion if you are playing for a while. If I look at the stuff Survivors had a few years ago and what is left of that nowadays… I mean, people who complain about DS should realize that back in the day you did not even have to be hooked to use DS. Or people who complain about Infinites dont know that back in the day there were ACTUAL infinites and far stronger structures. Same with chained tiles.

There are two main reasons why Killer has become better and better and Survivor has become weaker over time. First of all, more nad more stuff on the Survivor Side gets nerfed. And second, Killers which are released nowadays are just really strong, they have multiple powers, sometimes not really any cooldowns and usually get decent Perks. And if we release Killers which get stronger and stronger, it does not make sense to give Survivors that hefty Nerfs at the same time. I mean, just looking at the past year and this year we had Ghoul (A-Tier), Springtrap (B-Tier), Krasue (A-Tier), The First (A-Tier) and Jason (A-Tier), which is a bunch of strong Killers for 1 1/2 years now, with the weakest being Sprintrap who is still solid. Judgment also does not look like it will be a weak Killer.

Killers are receiving a lot of positive things. Back in the day they only had Nurse and MAYBE Billy as Killers. Now you have plenty of options to choose from if you want a Killer which will win most of your games.

  • @Xendritch said:

It's hard to take a post that defends original Dead Hard one of the most obviously unhealthy perks the game of all time seriously. Not to mention completely ignoring the fact that plenty of killer perks have also been nerfed Undying, Ruin, NOED, Call of Brine, Pop, STBFL, Ultimate Weapon, etc so acting like only one side gets what it wants is revisionist history.

To be fair, the complaints about DH only came when DH was working properly again. The years it was bugged and Survivors ended up exhausted on the ground, no Killer had an issue with DH and even complaints about DH for distance (the only way to actually use it reliable) were far less. Only when Killers were the one getting the wrong feedback (hits despite the Survivor using DH), they complained, even if this were just hits they would not have gotten in the first place.

Not saying that I disagree with DH being nerfed or anything.

The Perks you list are also not really good examples, since they were either extremely unhealthy (Ultimate Weapon, Undying, Call of Brine (even tho this was more of a victim of Eruption)) or they were or will be reverted. E.g. PGTW was buffed again and just recently. Ruin was also buffed, not 200% like before, but still a very good Perk nowadays (granted, I dont think it ever needed to be nerfed, the problem was Tinkerer back then after Undying was single use).

STBFL will be buffed as they already said. And NOED was nerfed, but sadly not in the correct way.

  • They wanted dead hard nerfted? They got it. Spine chill, Shane's perk? got it.
Deliverance, sprint burst, vigil? Got it
Soon shoulder the burden, lithe, resilience, balanced landing will be getting nerfs, because of killer complains and spreadsheet will show that those perks are overused.

Oh, other Perks will follow, no worries. Now Sprint Burst was the problem (despite not being complained about for years). And the only reason why it was complained about was because other things already got nerfed. It is not like Survivors are stronger now compared to a few years ago, this is simply not the case. Whoever says that playing Killer in 2026 is the hardest it has ever been is straight up lying. So Survivors get weaker and weaker and suddenly a Perk like Sprint Burst is a problem, because other reasons why Killers lose are already dealt with.

And the goalpost will be moved further, Lithe will be the next Perk complained about. This btw. all under the claim of wanting variety, but if Survivors only get garbage Perks for years, there will be no variety. And variety would be to buff underused Perks. E.g. if you want a bigger variety of Exhaustion Perks being used, buff something like Balanced Landing. The Perk has no business being only as strong as Lithe or current Sprint Burst, yet a buffed Balanced Landing would mean that more people play it which would also mean that they will sometimes get less use out of their Exhaustion Perk, since it is map dependant.

But as I said, Lithe will be the next Perk why Killers lose games. The Killers who lost games before and will keep losing games after other Perks are nerfed. (And the worst thing is - 99ing a Sprint Burst is at least some form of Skill Expression, vaulting a window with Lithe is not…)

We had anti-tunnel system implemeneted - killers feedback made developers scrape the idea, they got rid of it.
Now killers tunnel and feel good about it. Can't say that about surviviors. They automatically lose a game because killer found the "weak link".
Atleast they nerfed ONE slugging perk, let's be happy.

This is something which made me a bit annoyed during the Stream. They are nerfing Coulrophobia (rightfully so, the Perk is only used in slugging builds) and said that it leads to a lot of slugging and they dont want that. Then implement something against slugging as you planned, lol. Anti-Slug was completely fine and could have come live without many Tweaks. But it should just not be possible that a Killer can run around and slug from the start. And the Anti-Slug measurements which Survivors have dont work against that playstyle. Like, I run Unbreakable, but if a Killer like Blight decides to slug form the start, it does not do much. Because he will be on me fast enough and even if not, he probably slugged at least another person by now, so he already has big pressure. What Unbreakable does is punish the Killers who occasionally slug or want to gain some pressure by it.

So the Devs admit that they dont want full Slug Builds, yet they refuse to do something meaningful against slugging. All because they are afraid of Killers giving "feedback" again. (which is the biggest joke anyway. It happened like 4 times now that mass complaints of Killers got things changed and it will happen time and time again)

btw. "Atleast they nerfed ONE slugging perk, let's be happy."… but they buffed A Nurses Calling to work on Slugs again. I mean, it will still be better than with Coulrophobia, but dont be too happy for now.

Surviviors feedback about problematic killers doesn't seem to matter for a long time now.
Nurse, Kaneki and Jason destroy lobbies without a problem.
Well, atleast they nerfed blight and wins aren't that free anymore. We should be happy.

This is sadly true. The Blight Nerfs did not even matter that much, sure adding that he loses some Tokens when breaking a Pallet is a good thing, but they replenish so quickly that it barely does matter.

Nurse only gets slaps on the Wrist all the time. I dont know why this is really the case, because she is the strongest Killer since her introduction. And I hope that one day that there is at least a discussion if she is the strongest one.

Ghoul and Jason are jokes on a completely different level. I dont get why Ghoul still exists as he does. Yes, he got Nerfs (and funnily bigger ones than Nurse), but he is still one of the easiest Killers to play and one of the strongest. If I want the same level of ease on another Killer, I would probably look at Wraith. Who is average when it comes to strength, but Ghoul is easily Top 5 while being at least one of the Top 3 easiest Killers to play.

And I cannot imagine that they know nothing about nerfing him. Like, he gets to have Bamboozle as an Add On. Why? This would be the first thing which can be nerfed without question.

Jason is also a thing. His Hex-Perks are super annoying to deal with and honestly quite boring to use. And he powercreeps like 2/3 of the Roster… The Nerf to TOTH is welcome, but I doubt it will do much against a full Hex-Build, since he can see people cleansing Totems which his awesome map mobility. He always has his spears available because he can reload at Hooks which are PLENTY on the map. Which is a good thing, Killers should be able to hook easily. But not if Hooks become a ressource for a Killer. That he has a Haste effect which lasts for the double of time of his OE Cooldown is also questionable, at this point it is pointless to even have him being 4,4 m/s. Like, I played Huntress two days ago, because I really like to play her. And despite me having a good game, I was always thinking why I should even play her when Jason outclasses her in every way.

Sure, there are Survivor Buffs, but those are not really big. I mean, Adrenaline is nice, but the perk should not have been tripple-nerfed to begin with (and yet people complained about Adrenaline being buffed…), but what was funny was also that Mandy said they revert one of the Nerfs and it now grants 4 seconds of Speedboost. It was 5, so they dont even fully revert that…

The other Perk they mentioned was Apocalyptic Ingenuity. Which will probably be still garbage, because it does not matter if they buff weak Perks (on both sides) by a small margin if they are too bad to begin with.

But to end this: Yes, Killers are eating good. They get things nerfed they want to be nerfed and if Survivors might get good things, they just mass complain and BHVR changes them without testing. Anti-Slug and Anti-Tunnel had not a single day of testing on the Live Servers. Fog Vials were destroyed after one week and never came back. And Cross-Examination, despite being mediocre at best and almost not seeing any play on Live Servers is still nerfed, despite BHVR not gaining any Data from the Live Servers about the Perk before deciding to nerf the Perk to a point that it has 0 usage.

It is really hard to be excited about Survivor-Stuff nowadays.

  • Gladly, she can now dash. You are welcome.

By this logic noed is totaly skilled perk because if whole survivor team isnt able to remove all totems then its their fault to get destroyed by it.

As I mentioned above killer has no idea you run it and even him getting you doesnt fully prevent you from using it if he didnt get you before you get unhook.

Your “just get good” explenation here doesnt justify why this perk sucks to deal with as killer and needed some change.

I still think it would be fair perk (kinda) if it would just turn off in endgame like ds or otr does.

Look, I know that you dont really have arguments and that you are only discussing for the sake of discussing. But I will bite this time:

No, NOED is not a skillful Perk. And cleansing Totems is also extremely bad counterplay for such a Perk. Wasting time for a Perk the Killer might not even have will just result in not being able to reach Endgame anyway, which would make NOED also obsolete for the Survivors.

    And last but not least:

Your “just get good” explenation here doesnt justify why this perk sucks to deal with as killer and needed some change.

Except that the Nerf to Deliverance would do nothing against its use in Endgame… Lets be real, people are only fine with a Deliverance Nerf because it is a Survivor Nerf, most people did not care about Deliverance before at all.

Kinda lame to blame the killer for not hooking you when he didnt maybe had a chance to do so especialy when your friend can help you with saving your first hook till you get deli, lame.

Deli is top perk because it worked st endgame even when you pulled a trade without it being active you just needed to be not hooked and then it was easy escape especialy sgsinst weaker killers that often have half of the hooks or even less then stronger killers because their kit sucks and doesnt give then much.

Hooking all survivors doesnt prevent deliverence killer must hooked the right one before he unhooks anyone but how can he know that when he cant see perks of all survivors? Just lame blaming thats like me blaming survivors for getting shutdown by noed because they didnt cleansed all totems before finishing last gen compleatly same thing, how can they know killer has it if its not pig or frosty eyes trapper or bubba with agi+iron grip.

If the Killer is either not good enough to catch me before or decides to tunnel someone else… Yes, this is the Killers fault.

it's incredibly and uniquely powerful in coordinated 4stack play since it allows an unhook whilst the others remain on gens or reset, this isnt practical in soloq given the amount of communication necessary but the perk is a staple in comp and pubstomp premades for a reason.

it's also arguably problematic as a total solve for endgame, making it impossible for the killer to respond to the perk in the slightest and creating gamestates where the match outcome can be 100% decided long before play ends which is not interesting to be on either side of imo

a longer broken duration doesn't change either of those two things. an actual solution would be for deliverance to forfeit unhook protection, which offers counterplay in comp scenarios where its expected to be used and doesn't make it a free win in endgame whilst still being useful for its actual intended role.

I am running Deliverance in a 2 man SWF and I dont see the Perk as being that bad. When it comes to me still having Deliverance in Endgame - yes, this can happen. But it is rare.

And in those rare circumstances, I feel that it is the Killers fault that there is still someone with Deliverance and no Hooks left in Endgame. Because either this Killer decided to not chase me or was outright tunneling. And I think this is the Killers fault in this case.

again I agree with the sentiment. Vigil really is the problem child here.
but sprint burst isn’t exactly innocent, it’s current strength most definitely played a part in why Jason was made so strong, if hold w wasn’t so strong I guarantee Jason’s OE would have a much longer cooldown and he wouldn’t get haste after a jumpscare.

sprint burst is balanced, technically. But when against non-mobility killers its value skyrockets. It’s just a feedback loop, something’s gotta give eventually.

    against non-mobility killers

For me this is always a pretty bad argument. Because even if Sprint Burst will be nerfed, this does not mean that people will suddenly play their non-mobility Killers. Why should someone who plays Jason, Ghoul or Blight suddenly stop playing those Killers? Only because Sprint Burst gets nerfed does not mean that someone suddenly wants to play Trapper or Hag.

And if I look at my games, I almost never go against non-mobility Killers. So for me, if I would be using Sprint Burst, it would be nerfing a balanced Perk (according to your words).

The problem with non-mobility Killers are the Killers themselves.

I don’t get the deliverance nerf. This perk has been around since 2018, I dont remember people complaining about it then so idk why it’s getting nerfed now

Yeah, exactly. I mean, it is a good Perk, nobody will deny that, but I feel that it gets balanced by the fact that you have to earn it and if you are the first person hooked (or simply not fast enough with the Unhooks) that you play with 1 Perk less.

  • I dont care too much about Vigil or Sprint Burst, not having a problem with them and not using them myself. But they get weakened way more significantly (SB 3—>2 seconds, Vigil 66% —> 40%) than TOTH (12 sek —> 10 sek). But if I remember correctly, they said that TOTH will get more changes at a later point and this time it is only a number change.

Not a fan of the Deliverance change tho. Doubling the time to be broken is a bit much for a Perk which I think most people would consider very fair.

  • I think it is more likely that they stole took inspiration of the DBD Logo. If it would be a collab, there would be some mention of DBD or BHVR.

Do I see that as killer too or is it just the killermodell for the survivor? I played several killers yesterday and I wouldn't remember looking down any more while breaking palettes then normally - but I also wan't to say that plague wasn't under them, so maybe it's something with her then?

That being said it could indeed be ping

You as Killer have a different model compared to what Survivors see. Here you can see how the Killer model looks like:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmcEJD9IAEQ

This is basically the model the Killer player is using and it is a bit different compared to what Survivors can see. There was a bug at some point in the game where a Killer saw their version of the model during the spinning animation.

So IF there is an issue with the Killer looking down too much, you will most likely not notice it when playing Killer yourself, because you use a different model compared to what the Survivors see.

Using M1 killers for a few days and personally not having trouble with pallets does not prove that pallet density is fine, nor does it justify reducing every criticism to a skill issue.

Main Buildings and loops being weaker than they used to be is a separate question from whether current pallet generation is balanced. Fewer windows, shorter loops, or removed breakable walls do not automatically mean the number and placement of pallets are healthy.

The issue is not simply whether a killer mindlessly breaks every unsafe pallet. Even a weak pallet can waste meaningful time depending on how quickly it connects to another tile, how close it is to generators, and how many pallets spawn in the same area. Several individually weak pallets can still create a strong chain.

Map, RNG, killer choice, survivor skill, and match circumstances all matter. So saying, “I had no problem, therefore anyone who complains is playing badly,” is not a balance argument. It is an anecdote followed by an insult.

If the claim is that pallet density is objectively fine, it should be supported by things like average chase duration, pallet counts, spacing between resources, tile connectivity, and how different killers are affected—not a few days of personal experience.

Or perhaps the reason you came to that conclusion is that you have only been matched against low-MMR Survivors who do not know how to use the current pallet setups effectively.

Or perhaps the reason you came to that conclusion is that you have only been matched against low-MMR Survivors who do not know how to use the current pallet setups effectively.

Ah, the classic. The person in question is not mindlessly complaining how unfair it is for Killer, so they must be low MMR. I probably played more Killer than you have overall hours. And from the Builds my opponents use, I have to assume they know at least a bit what they are doing.

I am at the Soft Cap of the MMR. This does not mean that I am extremely high MMR (nobody knows that), but I face opponents I know have very high MMR, so I am at least at the Soft Cap. Might be barely above it, might be way above it, nobody knows.

Main Buildings and loops being weaker than they used to be is a separate question from whether current pallet generation is balanced. Fewer windows, shorter loops, or removed breakable walls do not automatically mean the number and placement of pallets are healthy.

This is not a separate question. When they increased the volume of Pallets, they also reduced Pallets in Main Buildings (e.g. the Main Building on the Asylum Map only features one Pallet anymore), removed Breakable Walls (Groaning Storehouse and Gas Haven dont have the strong breakable Walls in their Main Building anymore) or removed Windows (the Main Building on Chapel does not feature the best Window anymore). And they made Loops overall shorter which resulted in more Pallets, but more unsafe ones. Yet when Pallets were reduced again, none of the changes before were reverted. This combined with the fact that maps became more and more unsafe over the years (strong structures get removed, added by way weaker structures) made the Killer experience overall better. The only thing which remained from Pallet Density is basically that it added some Filler Pallets. Basically:

Old: Two Jungle Gyms next to each other, both having a safe Pallet —> Pre Pallet Density: Those Jungle Gyms got replaced with much weaker Loops without compensation —> Post Pallet Density: Filler Pallet got added between those. And this is overall a fair change. More unsafe Pallets > better gameplay than very few super safe Pallets.

If the claim is that pallet density is objectively fine, it should be supported by things like average chase duration, pallet counts, spacing between resources, tile connectivity, and how different killers are affected—not a few days of personal experience.

This is the biggest head scratcher for me. Why do I have to provide proof, but every bad Killer Main who complains that the game is SO HARD for Killer does not have to provide anything? If someone complains about Pallet Density, they should provide gameplay. Because then we would actually see if there is an issue or if the player can improve. We get screenshots at best, often enough just rants without proof. Yet I am required to bring proof, others not?

  • You can hardly call Lights Out perfect if it is the least liked mode out of the modifiers we had so far. And by a good margin. The thing is, mainly Survivors did not play the mode, because getting no clues at all was not really enjoyable. So obviously you then change things for Survivors, because the other alternative would be to scrap the mode, since it makes no sense to have it when only one side wants to play it.

Might mean that they will bring more things for Survivor or that they will remove the visibility of Pallets in the next iteration, after all those modifiers are a lot of testing around what will stick.

I seem to remember back 8 months ago, people were upset with the pallets density when it came out?

Yeah, but back then Pallet Density was actually a thing. This was when they first started working on it. Afterwards they went back on it by removing a lot of the Pallets (while keeping the Loops and Main Buildings weaker, as they did before) which resulted in the other extreme. And then we ended up on the current version, which is still weaker than pre Pallet Density for Survivors, since they removed Windows or breakable Walls from Main Buildings and shortened some Loops.

And IMO if people blame Pallet Density nowadays, I have to assume that they are playing really badly and kicking every unsafe Pallet and dont play anything. I was mostly playing M1-Killers the past few days and I had no issue at all with Pallets.

If they go back to the drawing board and come up with unique hook bonuses then maybe it will stop. Right now though there is 0 reason to not tunnel

Only if they also introduce a punishment for tunneling. Incentives just dont work, this has been shown time and time again. And if you want the incentive so huge that it is better than tunneling, it must be something extremely busted.

Back before the nerf it would, it make everyone savethemself or the odds for this were very high.

If you dont think everyone unhooking themself is good then you are kinda wrong because killer needs preasure buildup and hooking does that but survivor that can save himself and doesnt need any help kinda kills that.

Bringing a full Build is not "Basekit anything". Or do you say Killers have Basekit Pain Resonance if they bring the Perk?

I mean, at this point you are just writing to disagree, you HAVE to know that you are wrong.

  • I think bringing back Lights Out is fair, since they are doing a lot of changes with it. I dont really like the mode and will only play as much as needed, but it is good that they are still working on it.

Why can't they give us Prop Hunt? or My Little Oni? Or something new? It's always the same stuff.

They said not too long ago that there will be new modifiers. I dont think that My Little Oni will make a comeback, but I expect new stuff.

Luck no longer stacks. It was nerfed wiith diminishing returns.

Plus bringing a full build around unhooking yourself would not be "Basekit Deliverance".

Doesnt change the fact that if survivors all take luck offering and some perks a swf can basicaly have all guarantee unhook which totaly kills killers preasure and especialy the weaker killers one. I believe it hasnt been nerfed till today just people rather run full meta build like ds,dh,shoulder plus another strong perk.

    Thx for your valuable input.

  • Bro probably hung around the Hook way too long multiple times and let Survivors get themselves unhooked for free. Because it is hard to proxycamp 16m away.

Sorry I should clarify, it's a shame people are conditioned to feel this way, I'm not meaning to invalidate your stance on it, just that history repeats itself rather so we know what to expect.

I'm just trying to be hopeful they actually read casual players opinions on the matter.

That said another perk to the endless list of useless undertuned ideas lol We really need to be shown more frequent stats, more communication is needed, other pvp games do it, why doesn't DBD.

Honestly, IMO the Devs should take the 10 least popular Perks on both sides and buff and rework the ######### out of them and throw them at the players. If they are good and used, they are fine. If they still need more Buffs, they should get more Buffs. And if they are too strong, they need to be toned down a bit.

And once those 10 least popular Perks are done, the next 10 least popular Perks on both sides need to be changed. But sadly this is not what is happening.

A somewhat recent example: The Devs decided to buff PGTW, one of the most popular Killer Perks already instead of trying to buff some of the most unpopular ones. A Perk which was just outside of the Top 10 most used Perks was buffed, meanwhile unplayable garbage stays unplayable garbage. Even if they wanted to buff a Gen-related Perk, Undone is sitting as the 11th least used Perk…

  • Those are a bit over 2026 years, so this Rift would have happened shortly before year 0.

  • Why should Killer stop with tunneling and slugging? By now even the latest Killer on Earth knows that it is easy and very efficient. People who decide against using those "strategies" are just those who dont want to use them.

And as long as the Devs encourage such playstyles, nothing will change. There is also 0 incentive for the people using those "strategies" to stop, because there is no way the Devs can create an incentive which would not be busted or too weak.

It sucks that this is the common response to some positivity about this kind of thing. lol

I mean, the thing is, you might see your opinion as positive, but the reality is that it is extremely unrealistic. You have to keep in mind, they changed the Perk only on Feedback and complaints and they had 0 data on the Live Version of the game before they decided to change it.

This is not rational behavior by the Devs at all, this is just catering to the loud people (as they have done it so many times). The same loud people will complain if the Devs want to revert it, so the Devs just dont bother.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

Maybe it'll get reverted when they realise they overkilled it, here is hoping <3

    Hahaha.

No, kneejerk reactions are possible, reverting something after realizing that it was just a kneejerk reaction does not happen.

  • Well, I hope you are rocking that No MIther ingame then 😅

  • I mean, given that you 4Ked all of the games, it does not seem like you got outclassed, so I doubt it is backfilling. Even if you did not play Ghoul for a long time, the MMR is taken from your general Killer MMR. If that is high, you go against good players, even if you are new to a Killer.

And well, it is Ghoul… One of the easiest Killers in the game and one of the strongest. Plus you use extremely strong Add Ons. If you go against people with a huge amount of hours, I think you are right exactly where you want to be, because I highly assume you dont want to stomp some Newbies with your Build.

games already miserable enough, the devs fostered it with the mmr rewarding selfish plays for survivors and rewarding only kills making people sweat like its a comp game.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UA0M50T1JAGC/img-0960.jpeg

The problem is that people see MMR as some form of prize or trophy and not as what is is: Just a way to determine matchmaking. Like, you dont get anything from sweating in DBD like your life depends on it, except for stronger opponents. And you cannot even show anything for all the sweating, since MMR is hidden.

  • I dont really see much Killer BM. Or much BM in general, the closest was probably a bunch of Survivors who used Exponential and Flashlights, making it hard for me to pick them up. But since none of them were toxic, I dont count that as BM.

And as I said, I dont really see Killers BM, neither in Postgame Chat nor ingame. What I see more is Killers using full Slug Builds, which is unpleasant to go against (and I would gladly trade some humping and nodding against that, lol), but this is also not really toxic.

Wow. 14 whole seconds. Infinitely replacable on any totem of their choice. Survivors sure have it rough!

You're totally right btw about hexes being so much stronger than boons, like how they can be permanently cleansed before the killer gets any value out of them, and boons are super weak, like why even bring them? Like that one that gives you unbreakable! Man, why does that perk even exist, its so weak!

I dont know how little game knowledge someone must have to think that Boons are worth using. Outside of Meme-Builds (Yes, Exponential is part of a Meme-Build), no Boon is worth the time investment. If someone is sitting there, booning a Totem for 14 seconds, they are losing the game for their teammate. Not even the strongest Boon (CoH is still the strongest, even if it is also bad) is worth the time.

And booning a Totem multiple times is actively working against the team.

  • @BloodBehemoth said:

I just want the right to choose which totems hold my hex perks. Doesn't seem fair to me Survivors can choose which totem to boon, but Killer is forced to have their 1 Hex perk on the totem sitting on the hill, visible from space.

Then again, fairness to killers has never been a priority, so I won't hold my breath.

Comparing Boons and Hexes is also very wrong. You cannot compare those just because both are shiny Totems. Boons are way weaker than Hexes. Boons take time to setup. Boons are snuffed out immediatly, Hexes need time to cleanse. Those are just three glaring differences.

But if you mean that the Killer should have to spend 14 seconds to set up their Hex-Totem and Survivors can snuff them out instantly, but the Killer can rekindle them… Go for it.

Not really if the survivor in question is doing it to activate Inner Strength or Overzealous and 14 seconds is nothing really in a match that take 10-15 minutes at least.

Yeah, still good for the Killer. Sorry, but cleansing Dull Totems is always bad. If you bring Inner Strength or Overzealous (lol, the Noobtrap) does not mean that cleansing Dull Totems is suddenly good.

  • @Wezqu said:

They could go this route and it has been suggested before but still it does not change the fact that survivors could also cleanse the dull totems to deny activations. Its not really fixing the problem just moving the post.

If Survivors cleanse Dull Totems, the Killer already gets huge value out of it. Not really an issue.

    @Topic:

I mean, I get the idea. However, I dont think that this would actually help most Hexes at all. Most of them are just not good and IMO if you bring most of those Hexes mentioned, you already opt for weaker Perks anyway.

And, the biggest issue was not addressed, which is Thrill of the Hunt. This Perk is in a weird spot of being bad until it becomes too good. If Hexes get a Buff, TotH needs to get toned down. (But as I said, I would not really count your changes as Buffs which would really help out Hex-Perks)

oh yeah so screw every single killer added before the killers that counter sprint burst (excluding nurse). this logic makes ZERO sense, even if it’s an indirect nerf, over 20 killers still struggle going against SB & lithe. just because newer killers can catch up to them faster, does not mean all killers can.

First of all, older Killers get mainly screwed by BHVR because they release more and more Killers who are stronger and overshadow the old Killers. Not too long ago some Killers got very, very minor Buffs which did not matter much and then Jason releases who powercreepes 30 Killers or so because of his bloated kit.

And second, you cannot just respond to it by nerfing more stuff on Survivor. If you nerf Sprint Burst for example, people will not suddenly start playing Trapper or Ghostface again, they will stick to their Blight or Jason and just win better than before. Nerfing more on the Survivor side is not a solution, the solution would be to bring the powerlevel of Killers closer to a middleground and then balance around that.

The issue is that this does not generate money for BHVR.

Didn’t they say the map wasn’t even intended to go live? That it was just to showcase the tile, or something?

Initially there was no Map announced. Then they announced that Maps in the Withered Isle Realm will feature a unique Tile (I think when a TWD Character was played?). And then they made a "full" map.

My guess would be that the license holders last minute decided that they want a map, so BHVR let the intern create one in 15 minutes.

For a bit more context on my situation I spent years believing and sticking with the thought of tunneling and slugging is bad so I had it engraved into my head that I don't like to do it to others because when I played survivor I didn't like it. So now when I do try to do things such as tunnel or slug I fail a lot because I don't know how to do it properly while also having the mindset of I need to learn everything killer in the game I try using all killers bad or not and nearly every time I use a really strong killer my chances go from 1 in every 12 chances to 1 in every 4 chances it could more then likely be a skill issue but I hear so much over and over that this game over the years has favored survivors more then killers and honestly I can't help but see it a bit and in my head the power role should always have a some form of control but it seems that a lot of the time you lose it when you go against swfs or really good survivors 24/7

So you dont actually like to tunnel and slug, but do it anyway because you believe those people who say that you NEED to do those to win?

Sounds like a recipe to make the game unfun for yourself if you play in a way you dont like to play.
