Why do survivors get to pick items in Chaos Shuffle?

I feel like if I can't pick my addons as killer, survivor shouldn't get to pick items.

    Because BHVR decided that Survivors should be able to do it. Even last Chaos Shuffle. Killers survived.

    But obviously we can also open Threads on the DBD Forum to complain about basically everything.

    EDIT: And to be fair… You get to choose your "Item" as Killer. You decide which power you want to use.

    You can't argue with survivors, they will always find a way to talk you down. "You can choose which Killer you want to play" wow how generous 🙏

    Yeah, but this is the same exact level of choice Survivors have. Survivors get to pick their Item, Killers get to pick their power. It is really the same.

    And it is leagues better than previous Chaos Shuffle events where people only brought the strongest stuff they could choose (+ a Map Offering, but those are not an issue anymore).

    Unironically this. Everyone who is saying addons should be random despite the fact the addon pool for killers is nowhere near as big as the perk poll. Not only that, some while some addons deliberately designed to make the game more difficult than if you were to be playing without any addons at all.

    Its an unfair comparison because, aside No Mither A SINGLE PERK, no survivor perk is going make it worse than playing perkless survivor. Meanwhile the killer has much higher chances of getting something negative because the addon poll is smaller, and could either land on a meme perk, or a perk that by bad design, makes it more difficult than if you were to have NO perks at all.

    I would rather pick a killer and be forced to play perkless than having the chance of rolling a perk that just ruins the power entirely.

    It's not the same because some Killers have addons which quite literally nerf their power or make it unusable…
