"You got the 3k so it's no big deal" that's the result not the story of the match. I got hit with 2 ds out of nowhere and I didn't even tunnel then dead hard saved them so many times and on top of that, they had prove thyself to rush gens.

So, to break it down for you, you are complaining about the Survivors using Perks. This is like saying that Killers dont want Survivors to have fun, because you use Bamboozle to block off the Windows so that they cannot loop. You dont want them to have fun, eh?

You realize how ridiculous your entitlement is?

Like, getting hit by 2 DS, Prove Thyself, Dead Hard.. they just used their Perks?

I mean, I would understand your point if they used a Map Offering, brought Object, Keys.. but they are just using Standard Survivor Builds, and, lets face it, Survivors dont have many Perks which are good. Killers have way more options available AND play differently, so that they need different Perk Builds to begin with. This results in games with Survivors having almost the same Perks (because there is not really much diversity when you want to run good Perks) and having diversity on the Killer Side because usually a different Killer means a different Perk Build and even if it is the same Killer, their Perk Build might differ.

So yeah, you are basically complaining that Survivors play the game. I want to apologize on behalf of every Survivor for that..

  • Whenever a Survivor complains here, Killers jump on him, stating that they are not the fun provider. But Survivors should care for the Killers fun?

And I dont even see any problem in that Screenshot, they ran Meta-Perks - and? Its not like you ran Meme-Perks. They did not bring any Items, they did not burn any Map Offering...

And you even killed 3 of them. So, whats the point?

  • Do you get a Double Pip each time?

The issue isn't the over heat I haven't over heated yet but its finding a practical time to use it to down every time I've down someone I've seen 5 situations where bubba can do the same but easier

This sounds like you have relied on his Chargetime-Add Ons a lot.

I honestly don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. Patrolling gens, I find a survivor, don’t even chase them for an insane amount of time, gens start popping. And before I know it all the gens are done. Just had a match where the gens got all done in like not even four minutes. I can’t chase a survivor for more than a few seconds and gens stop going off. I didn’t even get a chance to down one. I know I’m coming across as whiney but it’s just really confusing and disheartening

This sounds like a you-problem. Once you start getting Survivors and forcing them into altruistic actions, the Gens will slown down a lot. Also, from what I noticed, people seem to over- and underestimate the time in chases. Survivors tend to think they looped the Killer for a few minutes while Killers think they have 10 second-Chases and most of the time, both is not true. I am no exception from that, my Survivor-chases feel longer, especially when no Gen gets done during them and my Killer chases feel shorter than they actually are.

However, simply giving up is wrong, because then you wont improve. What is important is to understand and accept that you will most likely not end the Gens with 5 Gens up. If this would happen on a regular basis, the game would have been way too imbalanced towards Killers.

Basically, depending on the Killer you are playing, you can expect to lose 2 or even 3 Gens at the start. But this does not mean that the game is lost, because you cannot really make the Gens count equally to the Survivor Objective. The first Gens are the easiest ones, while the last Gens will be harder to do. And the last Gens are also those that matter, because the Survivor Team wins nothing when they do 4 Gens.

The more the game progresses, the less ressources the Survivors have (aka Pallets), which means that the game shifts from favoring Survivors at the start (all alive, all ressources, no pressure from the Killer) to favor the Killer (less ressources, Survivors on Death Hook or maybe even dead, pressure from the Killer due to Hooks).

So, you should not give up when a few Gens pop. At least you can try to improve your chases for the rest of the game, and from my experience, a game which started with 3 Gens done before the first Hook can end with at least 1 Gen left, because the Killer finally manages to apply map pressure (also, quite often Survivors who do Gens very fast mess those up and end in a really bad 3-gen).

As others have mentioned, Corrupt Intervention is an awesome Perk for the early game. It basically means that you will not lose the Gens far from you because you have to get there and most of the time it makes the Survivors move at the start, because they cant work on Gens. Getting Plague for Corrupt intervention is one of the most important things to get IMO, basically right after getting Leatherface for BBQ, the next purchase should be Plague.

And, IMO you only need Corrupt Intervention for Slowdown. This is just my personal opinion, but having Tracking and Chase Perks to find and down Survivors quickly is more efficient than stacking Slowdown-Perks. Most of the time when I see Killers stacking a lot of Slowdown-Perks, they are not really good and dont get use out of their Perks (like, PGTW only works when you can actually hook players, Ruin only works when you can apply pressure).

The best tool for Slowdown is and will always be Map Pressure. I guess you should watch some Youtube-Videos, e.g. OhTofu makes gameplay-reviews, maybe he has some of Killers you are playing. People usually submit their bad games to him and he goes over them and tells them what they could have done better.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/234501/if-the-trickster-cannot-99-his-laceration-meter

What about the survivors being able to 99% the gates? That's an insta escape.

Besides I have a feeling this killer won't need nerfs when he gets here.

I mean, comparing Trickster and Ghostface is already questionable, but comparing Exit Gates with both of them is nonsense.

    @Topic:

It does not really make sense to compare those two Killers, since they work different. Ghostface has to sneak up and stalk, while Trickster is a ranged Killer. There are miles between them.

  • @NVerde said:

I think what feels off to me is I am aware of not letting him stalk to build up his power but if your team don't then he just comes and kills you instantly it feels unfair - though I guess there are a lot of instances in this game where the mistakes of your team mates impact on you even if you're not making them yourself

While the last part is true, Tombstone Piece simply removes the Survivor out of the game. Myers is basically stalking Survivors and the one guy who has never seen him will be dead. When he gets an Add On-Rework, Tombstone Piece will most likely go away, but there are no plans to do that yet.

And it does not require that much Evil to get to EW3 with the Tombstone Piece. The Add On is simply form another time of DBD where busted stuff like this existed.

Honestly having more killer challenges would be better. Queue times improve because there isn't enough players on the opposing side, which is why survivors always takes longer than killer. Killers can instantly find a game because not many people want to be killer. Another thing to consider is that a good portion of people don't care about rifts and a majority of that bunch will be survivor players anyways

Honestly, I dont care about the Archives anymore. For me, it can also be more Killer Challenges again. Then we have more "Hook X Survivors"-Challenges. Or more "Chase Survivors for X amount of time while using Perk Y"-Challenges, which are equally boring to the grindy Survivor Challenges.

  • @JHondo said:

I don't understand why they added more grindy survivor challenges and reduced the number of killer challenges...

More Survivor Challenges-->There need to be more Survivors by default to have decent Queue times. Those are not a thing currently, however, if There would be the same amount of Challenges (and both queue times would have been roughly the same to begin with), Killer Queues would be really long.

More grindy Challenges-->This community is whiny. Instead of interesting challenges which might require a few games to get done, the Devs went for quite a bunch of easy Challenges which are basically "just play the game". I prefer real Challenges, difficult things done in one game which need multiple trials. But since many people (or a few loud ones..) thought it was too hard, we have more of the grindy ones. Yay.

People literally killing themselves on hook doesn't significantly increase how many people are killed on the hook?!

I am sorry but this makes no sense as one hook suicide is literally half way to 50% let alone it cripples the survivor's ability to complete gens.

Its like saying tunneling someone out of the game early doesn't effect the outcome of the game!

I very rarely see hook suicides. Saying that those are common is a blatant lie.

  • Myers is a good example of a powercreeped Killer. When I started playing, people rated him as low A-Tier or high B-Tier. Now he makes the C-Tier most of the time, when I see Tier Lists. Also Myers is one of the rarest Killers I encounter, he was pretty common when I started playing.

He needs an Add On-Rework (stuff like Tombstone Piece or unlimited EW3 needs to go, other stuff like Movement Speed increase while stalking or Vanity Mirror need to be reworked to be actually useful), and also some Buffs to his Basekit. Either remove his Tier 1 completely (with Scratched Mirror giving him Undetectable, shorter Lunge and 4,2m/s movement Speed) or make it easier to get out of it. Passive build-up would be an option, like Oni, but much shorter.

His Tier 3 can get some love as well, but I dont know what exactly to do. Something like faster Palletbreaking would be an idea, but I think the Devs are quite cautious with stuff like that, maybe it can become too fast when adding Brutal Strength and Fire-Up into the mix.

  • I mean, I see the human centipede, but I dont get the Ghostface-pictures either.

  • @Pilot said:

Would Perks like NOED also inflate the kill rates?

Don't kill me for this question

NOED most likely has an effect on Killrate. But it will be pretty minor. Even if sometimes games swing from a 1K to a 4K due to NOED, I highly doubt that those are the majority. So a Killer will not jump from 50% Killrate to 60% Killrate, just because of NOED.

  • @Tsulan said:

People suiciding on the first hook because they don´t like the killer/map/offering/weather/etc make the kill rates high.

Nonsense. I know you will never get away from your narrative, but people suiciding on Hook will have little to no impact on Killrates. It has an impact, but is not responsible for Killrates way above 50%.

    @Topic:

If anything, the Killrates indicate that playing Killer is not as bad as some people make it up to be. But thats about it.

  • No, not too careful at all. Against some Killers, it is really hard to save someone out of the Basement. E.g. you are basically dead against a Hag, if she is not nice and does not trap up the Basement. If she decides to put Traps around it, you are dead.

Yesterday I also had Shack to loop against a Hag, including Shack Pallet, but since Basement was there, I decided to go to another area. In the end, I went down, because there were no Pallets left - looping Shack would have been more to work with, but I will certainly not risk it to go down there and never leave the Basement again.

Maybe more inexperienced Survivors are more careless, if they dont know that the Basement can be very strong for certain Killers.

Slugging someone who got unhooked isn't tunneling tf? If they found you cuz the person who rescued you is hiding are they supposed to just let you go???

If it's not a game they enjoy, I can understand the DC.

If they load into the game, see two gens insta pop in 1 1/2 mins and they know they have two or more toolboxes, I understand the DC.

    They weren't winning that.

If they aren't enjoying the game, then they should DC and bite the penalty

2 Gens in 1 1/2 minute? Thats not even that fast.

Let alone that 2 Gens lost does not mean that the Killer will lose. The first Gens are the fastest, once the Killer is downing people, Gens slow down a lot.

  • @HollowsGrief said:

This is a bug or intended?

The Devs never made any mention about it.

IMO the previous Chase music on Killer Side was better. I miss Demos old Chase theme.

  • @luckybluckyu said:

I think it would work best if it was more of an offering when the match is loading and it would then show a symbol representing the killer for that match. This way no one can change up perks or bring an item specifically for a killer therefore nerfing him.

This would hurt Stealth Killers a lot. Survivors might not be able to change their Loadout, but everyone would be aware, so no possibility of sneaking up.

  • I would not like to know. Same with Maps, I want it to be as "random" as possible.

But I guess, Spirits or Freddys will not get many games. And maybe Killers will experience how it feels if you get dodged for Cosmetics/SWF/Items.

It´s funny how a few weeks ago, we also had a clip from a streamer who lost all gens in a couple of minutes and people said the exact same thing. That this is not the norm, that not everyone plays like this, etc.

Meanwhile survivor queues are getting longer and longer, while survivors claim that killer has never been easier.

So whats the reason for the long queues then?

In over 5500 hours I never had a game like this. The only time where Gens got done really fast was when the Killer was afk.

I have never had a Killer game were Gens were done that fast.

And lets face it, most Killers in DBD are just bad. If even I can get to Rank 1 and 4K quite consistently, players who are complaining that Killer is hard must be worse.

But as I said, now we pretend that this is happening "every game". And players here lose "every game" "only because of SWF". Meanwhile, a strong Killer like Oni or Nurse slugs the whole team in 2 minutes "The Survivors were just bad".

If Killers lose, its the games fault, it Survivors lose, its the Survivors fault. That basically sums up this forum.

  • Are we now pretending again that this is happening in every game?

Can we have some Clips of Killers who win in 3 minutes? And pretend that those are the norm? No? We cant? Even surprised..

This is true (as I play both survivor and killer as a Myers main) I rarely find anyone who plays spooky Myers and in the same breath haven't gone against alot of survivors who have either. It's alot harder to find then something like of like tombstone Myers.

The biggest problem is that Map Offerings are more rare than any Add-On on Myers. IMO Scratched Mirror does not really work on The Game or Hawkins, so you only got Lerys and maybe Midwich. And hard to get those Offerings.

That's what "/s" means? Good to know. I still think we need a font for sarcasm.

As for perks used too much equals a nerf. DS was on or near the top of that chart for a loooong time. It was reworked once before and it was still on top. I predict it will still be up there after the next change.

Thats what I mean - Perks being used much is not the sole reason for a Nerf. It can be one reason, but not be the only one. (And I guess, it is also one of the least important ones, since there is nothing wrong with Perks being used often)

  • @EvilJoshy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2010567#Comment_2010567

When DS gets nerfed to be a true anti tunnel, Unbreakable probably won't be as powerful. With the DS change, unless you are actually tunneling, there will probably be less slugging. So Unbreakable might not see much use. Unless the killer is running a slugging build.

I have written "/s" behind it, indicating sarcasm. But if we go for Perks which are used much, BBQ would be one of the first Perks to nerf.

Don´t get me wrong. I was just curious. As i doubt that the DS nerf will reduce the usage of Unbreakable DS.

I just wondered, because the devs said, that they base their nerfs on overusage of certain perks.

    This is ONE aspect.

Otherwise, plz nerf BBQ, thank you. /s

We’ve prepared a bite-sized Developer Update- a series of posts where we go over everything happening with Dead by Daylight. This one will be a little more brief than usual and go over some of the major changes in the 4.6.0 update as well as our future plans for hot topics.

    4.6.0 Update

    Decisive Strike

We’ve made some changes to one of the most discussed perks. Decisive Strike will now deactivate if you repair a generator, heal yourself or another Survivor, unhook a Survivor, cleanse a totem or sabotage a hook.

The intent behind this change is to remove instances where a Survivor can make some sort of progress while being completely protected by the perk. With these changes, Decisive Strike remains active for 60 seconds so long as you are only evading the Killer, and the only person who can make it deactivate prematurely is you.

Quick FAQ: Another Survivor healing you will not deactivate your Decisive Strike.

    The Wraith

The Wraith will be receiving a few more changes besides the ones we made with the previous Mid-Chapter:

    • Increased movement speed while cloaked from 5.09m/s to 6m/s
    • Decreased movement speed while uncloaking from 2.02m/s to 1.6m/s
    • Adjusted the Windstorm add-ons accordingly: Reduced movement speed bonus, removed uncloaking movement speed penalty

With these changes, The Wraith should be able to get around the map faster with less reliance on the Windstorm add-ons.

    The Blight

They grow up so fast. We’ve raised The Blight’s POV to better reflect where his head is. Proudly tower over windows that once blocked your view and assert your dominance.

    Colorblind Modes & Chat Filters

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/36MDXB6Z24WD/cb4.png

With this Chapter release, we are adding colorblind modes to Dead by Daylight. You can find new settings in-game to switch between default, deuteranope, protanope, and tritanope modes. These settings subtly adjust colors to make them easier to see for some players. Colorblind modes are our first step in increasing the accessibility of the game.

We have also added a chat filter to the game. This filter will act as an additional line of defense ensuring that you don’t need to see inappropriate messages in the first place. Our support team will continue reviewing chat reports as we have done in the past to make sure that players who are breaking the rules are punished accordingly. Although offensive terms will be filtered for you, our team has access to uncensored chat logs, and we encourage you to continue reporting any messages you feel may have been inappropriate.

For more details on both colorblind modes and the chat filter, check out this article: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/trb-midway-update

    Post-4.6.0 Update

    The Realm Beyond

In the past, we’ve consistently shipped one or two graphically updated realms with each major release. We planned to continue this trend with another realm rework in this update, but unfortunately this next realm would not be ready in time for this Chapter. Rather than releasing what we have, we decided to postpone the next map update until it is ready. Our goal is to ensure that all graphical updates we release are up to our standards before we unleash them into the wild.

Work on the next graphical update is well underway, and you can look forward to seeing it in a future update.

    HUD: Next Steps

In the 4.5.2 bugfix patch, we made some changes to the HUD with regards to your feedback. Discussions surrounding the feedback we’ve received are still ongoing, and we hope to share more with you soon.

    Survivor Animations: Next Steps

Also in 4.5.2, we made some changes to Survivor movement animations to make them feel more familiar to long-time players, notably by removing some of the transitions between animations. Going forward, we’ll work on polishing some of these animations, including the idle and injured running animations.

With that, we’ve reached the end of this short (not actually that short) Developer Update. We look forward to reading what you think after you’ve had the chance to try out all of the new changes!

I guess, we will get the reworks a little bit later, maybe in another Patch after the Chapter Release but before the Midchapter.

  • I might be missing a point, but why would you want to do that in the first place?

  • 0.

Seriously, Mindbreaker takes up a whole Perk Slot for 5 seconds. Add Ons should be less impactful than Perks.

  • Maps these days are too bright. The Reworks made it a little bit better, but usually, the Maps are not as dark as they used to be.

Back in the day, even old Maps with the brightest Moonlight were way darker than what we currently have.

  • So far it is only known that Huntress will get an Add On-Pass. This will 100% include that Iri Heads will be nerfed (finally), those outdated Exhaustion Add Ons will most likely go as well (finally). Other than that, everything is open. The only thing that she might get nerfed are her Wind-Up Add Ons, but I would not consider them problematic personally.

IMO the Billy-Nerf was justified, he is still good. You have to think about the fact that Billy got called "the most balanced Killer" for years, but the game got easier and easier for Killer. Something that is considered "the most balanced Killer" will not be balanced anymore.

However, I have to agree, if they are nerfing Billy, they will go for Spirit at some point again. The Nerf she got was almost nothing, even when removing her most broken Stuff, she is still very strong with a somewhat low skillcap.

In an ideal world, Nurse will get a full rework, but this will not happen.

  • Paint Brush and Swing Chains?

  • 4 coordinated Solos will give you a hard time as well. Solos who are decent at the game will most likely be more efficient when they are playing Solo than playing in an SWF, because you cannot trust randoms.

I will not vote for anything, since the votes are either saying it is an issue (which it isnt in my opinion), implementing it into the game, which will be highly annoying or simply state that I dont play Killer.

  • @Nosferatu3145 said:

The only problem I have with spine chill is cause of Gosthy and Myers. They need to look at their victims to use their power, and can't do that by moonwalking.

I never had a problem with Spine Chill as Ghostface. If they have it, I have to M1 them instead of stalking them (most of the time, you can still try to stalk them while in Chase, but it takes quite long), but I am fine with that one.

On Myers, he should be immune to Spine Chill in Tier 1 (which got removed when they gave him Undetectable).

  • @supersonic853 said:

I know their gonna brutally murder the exhaustion one because survivors can't live without their exhaustion perks for 90 seconds. It's a anti dead hard.

Or, they are simply outdated. One of the more recent Exhaustion-things we got was Mindbreaker, which gives 5 seconds Exhaustion AND takes up a Perk Slot.

Thinking that 30 seconds Exhaustion for 3k BPs or 90 seconds Exhaustion for 5k BPs are contemporary is simply wrong.

  • Look away when sneaking up on the Survivor. Most of the time you will be able to tell if they have Spine Chill or not.

  • Devs have said months ago that they are thinking about Prestige Rewards. There was no info since then.

However, if they want to bring Rewards for prestiging, you can expect them to be minor. There is no way to give gameplay-advantages for prestiging, there are players out there who played thousands of hours without prestiging (since it is not worth anything when you dont want the cosmetics), they should not need to grind everything again to get advantages other players will get because they prestiged from the start.

I can expect something like a minor BP-Bonus. Or maybe only some Charms which indicate the prestige you have on this Character so that you can show off that you have P3ed the Character without feeling the need to use the bloody Cosmetics.

But something which gives advantages in gameplay (especially stuff like a third Add On Slot (4 Iri Hatchets? 3 Iri Hatchets and better Wind Up? Purple Medkits with not only 60 Charges, but extra Speed as well? And dont get me started on a fifth Perk Slot).

And this is coming from someone who has P3ed every Character with all Survivors and most of the Killers maxed out.

  • "my main problem is the breakable walls when you play killer there's so many areas that screw you over like a generator on the other side that's almost done you need to go around or break the wall"

IMO the breakable Walls should be untouched, since they create deadends for the Survivors. This is most likely the reason the increased the Pallets, The Game always only had Pallets (and a few windows), so the whole gameplay was holding W and throwing/breaking Pallets. With the addition of Breakable Walls, they created Deadends, but to still have Pallets to use, they increased the number of Pallets.

I dont mind the Map as either Killer or Survivor, I died on it as Survivor sometimes and almost everytime won on it as Killer (the only exception so far when playing Nurse, and the problem there is me, not the Pallets...), however, I think two things should be changed:

    • Removal of every breakable Wall on The Game
    • Removal of some Pallets which got added to compensate for potential Deadends

This would bring The Game to a pre-Update State. In the longterm, it would be nice if they would remove some safe Pallets, add more unsafe ones and especially add more Windows so that the gameplay on both sides is more interesting. (Which is why I never liked the Map in the first place, it is boring to run around safe Pallets and it is equally boring to follow a Survivor around those safe Pallets)

But doing the two bullet points I listed would be enough to make the Map better for a while.

    Thanks for replying.

"Also - if they insult you, you can report them. Especially if those Insults are Death Wishes, homophobic or racist. BHVR is banning for Chat Insults like this, you should report them ingame and also take Screens and report them via the Support, if they do those kind of insults." Do i get any confirmation that one of my report actualy lead to something. Overwatch for example notifies you if a person get punished whom you have reported.

Otherwise it feels quite hollow to report people if you dont have any feedback that you actions have actually done somethign.

"First, grow a thicker skin. Really, toxic people will never go away, in no Onlinegame at all. The only factor that can be changed is how much it bothers you." i know that its hard to do thing on the internet but i dont think that it should be a accepted think to tolerate bad behaviour.

Not getting bothered so much by toxicity is different from tolerating or even accepting it. But as I said, you cannot change people, in every game there are people who try to trashtalk after games, either because they are bad losers or because they are bad winners. You can argue with them, but it wont even matter at all.

Regarding Reporting, you will not get a feedback if the Support takes any actions. However, you can see if they get a VAC-Ban on Steam, if you keep the Link to their profile (which you will need to report anyway). I am not sure if there are Chatbans, which will not ban people from playing, but remove their ability to write in the chat, but if those exist, you will not know it at all.

But insults like Death Wishes, homophobic or racist slurs are taken seriously.

Ehm I think @OGlilSPOOK20 is quite right to rant about it because its an unfair win condition. They didn't meet the 5 gen requirements but still got a free escape.

    'No point ranting about it'

Facecamping, hard tunneling, Moris are outwith control for survivors, doesn't stop them ranting about it??? The only thing worse than survivor finding a key and escaping is a survivor actually bringing a key to escape. Unless doing a challenge it says a lot about their lack of faith in their ability to do 5 gens and escape

    I just quote myself:

"And if Keys allow multiple Survivors to escape, it is basically Endgame - this means, the Killer had a game, unlike a Survivor who got morid first Hook. From that perspective, they are indeed less problematic."

This does apply to hard tunneling and facecamping as well. The worst thing that can happen to a Killer is that they have people escape after almost playing a full game - Survivors can just be on their first hook and dead soon after (either by facecamped, old Moris or simply tunneled out of the game).

But I know, completely unreasonable to think so. :^)

I see Mikeys nearly every day. His pick rate stats in both red ranks and across all ranks certainly don't indicate a rarity either.

Lets just be honest a lot of survivors are simply potatoes.

I have not seen him this month and if I had to guess, I go against him at max once every two weeks. Probably the second-rarest Killer I go against (with Number 1 being Hag).

Could be region-based tho. (Like I go against Huntress a lot, probably because she is a Russian Character and I play against lot of Russians so I can imagine Myers being more popular in the US)

  • First of all, as already said, Colorblind Options will come with the next Patch. So you will be able to play other Killers.

    Regarding those messages, two things:

First, grow a thicker skin. Really, toxic people will never go away, in no Onlinegame at all. The only factor that can be changed is how much it bothers you.

Second, there is an option to turn off Chat. If you are in the Endgame Screen, you see a symbol next to the Chat Window. Click on it and the Chat will be disabled. This way, they might still write something, but you wont read it.

Also - if they insult you, you can report them. Especially if those Insults are Death Wishes, homophobic or racist. BHVR is banning for Chat Insults like this, you should report them ingame and also take Screens and report them via the Support, if they do those kind of insults.

  • No. Big tip if you are annoyed by BT and DH: Hit the Unhooker, not the person unhooked. You are welcome.

Are they now it's been 4 months and coming up on 5 patches now.

    Is this another console optimization.

Or will BHVR prove us wrong.

If I was a betting man I would say it ain't happening.

edit: if it does make it into the mid chapter for 20 it means it took them half a year to nerf keys

They said from the start that Keys and Moris will not be nerfed in the same Patch. And they said quite recently that they dont compare Moris with Keys.

And if Keys allow multiple Survivors to escape, it is basically Endgame - this means, the Killer had a game, unlike a Survivor who got morid first Hook. From that perspective, they are indeed less problematic.

Because it was pretty good and close game and fair but then 2 people got out because of and item they found.

Yea I know they're getting nerfed but the devs are taking their sweet time doing it.

Yeah, but as I said, nothing you can do about that. IMO it sucks more if you lose because you were not good enough to win, but if you were good enough and it looked like a win and they only escaped because of the Key, it is whatever.

I also got robbed of a 4K a few days ago (got a 3K), one Survivor found a Key in a Chest, without Plunderers. But I stopped being mad about that, Keys are busted and will get nerfed, but "only" getting a 3K was not my fault in this case, so I took it easy.

And yes, Devs take some time, but as they said, they dont consider Keys as that problematic as Moris (which I would agree on), and they will probably think of ways to keep Keys useful, since the Keys and their Add-Ons take up quite a bunch of spots in the Bloodwebs.

(My guess is that they might add an animation for opening the Hatch, so they need to do the animation and interrupts by the Killer... but as I said, only my guess)

  • Keys are getting nerfed. And really, why do you care about something which was out of your control anyway? No point in ranting about it.

  • As others have said, the MMR was pretty broken. E.g. with Nurse, who I do not play often and pretty bad, I got usual Red Ranks. But with Billy, who I played really often back then, I got people with really low Ranks.

Even after like 30 games or so, all 4Ks with 12 Hooks, I still got players wiht 0,0 hours in DBD. (Other players had the same with Billy)

    Really messed up.

  • REAL Genrushing is basically letting people die on Hook to finish Gens, no matter what.

Most of the time Killers say that they are genrushed, they just did not play good enough.

Gens going fast is the product of bad map pressure.

  • To be honest - Myers is rarely played today, Scratched Mirror is even more rare. I guess you can have 1000 hours on Survivor without running into a Scratched Mirror Myers once.
