Iron Will did not get nerfed. Since you are mentioning a Slug-Build, I assume that you thought you will be silent on the ground as well? This was in the game for some time, but it was a bug that got fixed to an extend. I dont have it anymore, but others are saying that they sometimes still have it.
Also, Killer Perks get nerfed as well, PGTW got nerfed a few Patches ago, Undying got nerfed during the last Midchapter-Patch.
Saying that only one side gets Nerfs is wrong.

Shame. He needs way more than what they're giving him :/
There is not much time between PTB and Live Release for them to change things. They might already be working on something, but this will not be ready for Live Release (no information about that, just pure speculation from my side).
Might also be possible that we will have to wait a few months before they change anything, like they did with the Silent Hill-Chapter (I think they made changes to PH and the Perks in the Midchapter after the Blight-Release).

Do u ever maind Billy or Bubba? Or u r just a survivor main saying your dream talk?
Bubba was the first Killer I maxed out and I mained Billy for a long time, but I have to admit, I am very rusty with him because I stopped playing him for a long time when they bugged his animations.
But I have played both of them for quite a long time, Bubba not that much after the Buff, but playing Billy quite frequently the last weeks.
-
No official date given yet. Likely to be next Tuesday.
When it comes to Trickster, they most likely did not change anything else than what they wrote two weeks ago. If there are any changes made to him, it will be on the Live Servers.

@UnentitledBunnyMan said:
If Billy is good who will go buy Bubba with real money? After BHVR deal with net ease they become much more greedy
Thats a little bit too much tinfoil hat IMO.
Bubba has already good aspects to be bought
- License
- BBQ
- A decent Killer overall (and still weaker than Billy)
I dont think they the Devs wanted to nerf Billy so that more people buy Bubba. Aside from Billy being BHVRs version of Leatherface before the license and both having a Chainsaw, they dont share much.

You are absolutely right on a case by case basis assuming matchmaking put him up against similarly skilled survivors
This on the other hand is a matchmaking-problem. But I am assuming that the Matchmaking is working in those cases, if not, then it is the Matchmakings fault. Ranks do not really matter anymore, but in general, a Red Rank will be better than a green Rank (or at least it should be like this).
Obviously, if a Killer is matched constantly with higher ranked Survivors, this is something which should not happen.
(But, from my experience, if that happens, most of the time other Survivors are far below the Killers Rank. e.g. yesterday I went against a Bubba who was Rank 8, with my SWF-Mate (both Rank 1) and two Console-Survivors (I would assume SWF as well), who were Rank 13 and 16... And while the Killer should not go against us, they should also not go against the yellow Ranks, but IMO that evens it out to an extend, because they have two Survivors to capitalize on)

So following your logic, i´m the reason (red rank solo survivor) for the countless killers that get gen rushed while playing against me.
their = OP.
I play games long enough to know that players like to blame everything but themselves on their losses.

how do I know if it’s the op fault or not? I don’t care about this 1 example. It doesn’t matter if this 1 example is the op, matchmaking, the survivors he faced, or divine intervention.
this is not an isolated incident. Thais happens frequently. Like I said, the pacing of the game with how it is currently designed coupled with the $&@/!? matchmaking is the underlying problem.
If it happens often, it is more likely to be their fault.

And? When survivor are bad, they obviously lose. I know as solo survivor how bad some red ranks are.
And i wouldnt call it genrush. They just do gens, bc its the only objective. The other survivors who decide to ignore gens are the problem. The balance shouldnt be for them.
And when Killers are bad, they obviously lose. And some Killers in Red Ranks are horrible.
-
Survivors:
Laurie-->DS will still be useful after the Nerf. If you dont want DS, you can basically move her down a lot.
Adam-->Deliverance is useful and Diversion is quite fun to use.
The rest is basically in any oder, they dont have really good Perks. If you play with Kindred, you might want to get Ace for Open-Handed ot increase your Range. But thats about it.
Killer:
Blight-->If you play with Hexes, Blight for Undying should be the first. Still a solid Perk after the Nerf.
Demo-->Would be the second one with somewhat useful Perks, Surge is quite decent. Mindbreaker is not horribly bad, but most of the time you find other Perks to use.
The rest is again, in whatever order. Deathslinger and Twins have really bad Perks, at max Oppression is somewhat useful, but again, you will find better Perks.
You should just make sure to have decent Perk Builds already on your Characters, nothing is more annoying than trying to get a Perk you want to use and grinding through Bloodwebs for Perks, which are just there for completion, before you get the Perks you want to have.
-
You should report them ingame and screenshot their Chat and contact the Support.

Does it matter how often this happens if its not your fault? When it would only happen when you screw up it would be ok. But it depends on the survivor. When you know that you only win bc survivor are bad, its frustrating.
How do you know it is not OPs fault? If it happens regularly to them, they might not be as good as they think they are.

What percentage of games where it’s over in say 7-8 minutes is acceptable to you? 10%, 25%, 50%?
your reply to OP didn’t really address anything he said. Instead, you framed it around asking how often it happens to him. It’s not just him as we have countless posts about that very topic. So we can easily chalk it up to “op just played bad” or that person “just didn’t pressure gens” I guess. Nah, that’s lazy.
there is a fundamental issue with time in this game. It’s the reason so many matches wind up with 4K or 3-4 escape in under 10 minutes. There’s not a lot of middle ground for either side. The pacing of the game is simply too fast. Rush gens or 4slug are the options players have atm. Trying to do something else results in a rapid loss of momentum and a quick end to the match.
You can win games as Killer without going for 4 man slugs. You can also win games as Survivor without "genrush" (which I consider as letting people die on Hooks to push out Gens, no matter what).
3-4 minute games are very rare, if that is happening frequently, the Killer player is pretty bad. Even in my worst games I remember, I did not have games like this, and I had games which are in my mind where I got 4 Hooks in the end or where I overcommitted so hard, because I was stubborn. And those games did not end that fast.
I do agree on the Snowball aspect tho, most results are probably 4Ks or 4 man escapes, since either the Killer is not able to apply enough pressure or the Survivors get stomped, and once they reach the point of 4 gens done, nobody dead (and no 3-gen) or 1 Survivor dead before enough Gens are done, the game is basically over, as long as there is no huge skill gap between the two sides.
-
That Billy took 5 minutes to get his first down. This cannot be explained with the Nerfs, sorry to say that, but if a Killer takes 5 minutes for one down, they are not good.
I mean, just look at the curve he tried at the crane. Eh. He most likely overcommitted during Chases, I dont know how long he chased who, but given that not only tru3 was in that match but also Cardclasher, it can be possible that he followed the wrong Survivors for too long.
-
Does it happen often to you that you get Games which are done in 3-4 minutes?
-
I guess you mean to play as:
- Demo
- Piggy
- Wraith
- Billy
- Pyramid Head
Least favorite to play as:
- Hag (!!!)
- Spirit
- Freddy
- Twins
- Oni
-
There is a Perk which gives Exhaustion for 5 seconds. Why should there be any Add Ons that cause Exhaustion? Add Ons should be less impactful than Perks.
Glad they are finally getting rid of those outdated Add Ons.
-
Not in DBD, but I have one friend who is like that. Gets really tilted when he loses in a game, even if it is not over at this point (e.g. we were playing Age of Mythology and he ragequit because his Villagers got killed). I know for sure that DBD would not be a game for him.
-
- Survivor --> Ash, has basically no right to exist anymore, only good thing was the cashgrab MoM. His Perks are bad and he is annoying.
- Killer --> Spirit. Really, ######### Spirit.
- Survivor addon --> Odd Bulbs. Just useless, waste of BPs.
- Killer addon --> Berus Toxin, one of my most hated Add Ons and wanted to go for something else than the obvious Iri Heads.
- Map --> Saloon, hate this Map with a passion.
- Offering --> Hatch Offerings
- Survivor perk --> Object of Obsession
- Killer perk --> NOED

You can give them the hits out in the open but on a pallet dropped and window vaulting scenario survivors should be favoured more than the killer lunging towards it too late.
The thing is, the Killer is not doing anything wrong here. Pallets and Windows are designed in the way that Killers can get hits there, they are not some magical membrans which let the Survivors through but not the weapon of the Killer.
Furthermore, on the Killers Screen you are close to them, because of their higher Ping.
As said, its the Devs fault to implement Dedicated Servers without the possibility to grant low Ping to every player. They were a big mistake overall.

Yeah but the new hit detection service that went live was supposed to favor whoever had the lowest ping. I do come across a lot of Russian PC players but even EU ones it's still pretty bad...maybe they need to shrink the survivor capsule a little bit to improve the detection to make them actually seem normal. But honestly it's every game now where this happens, like if bad rng wasn't bad enough you have to deal with these hits.
I don't even get mad at being tunneled or camped either, it's when i get tunneled or my chase doesn't last as long as it should because the Killer gets a freebie hit is what makes me annoyed.
It does not work the way that the Player with the lowest Ping is favored. All the persons who said that were giving out false information. I guess the Hit Validation is present, but really, really generous. Probably not active beloiw 250 Ping or something like that.
Remember, one Dev once said that 150 Ping is "pretty good Ping".
Shrinking the Survivor Hitbox would be wrong, because this would make them stronger at Loops, since they would be able to cut the corners better than currently, with Killers already having bigger Hitboxes.
-
Because you cannot make a good functional Hit Detection as long as not every player has access to a Dedicated Server nearby. The whole concept does not work.
As an example, there is no Server in Russia and most likely there will never be any Server (because BHVR is using Amazon Game Servers, which are not supported in Russia). So Russian players have to connect to EU, this results in them having high Ping. And if you would have a good functional Hit Detection, you will basically make it really, really hard for Russian players to get hits, withtout them doing anything about it. Because they can have the best Internet they can get at home, but will not be possible to do anything against the high Ping to the EU-Servers.
And this is just one example, pretty sure that there are many other regions where you dont have access to a Server nearby (Russia is just the one I know about for sure).
So yeah, as Survivor, you will have to deal with horrible looking Hits. There is not really anything which can solve it. The only thing they can do would be to show the Killers Ping in the Lobby, but for some reason, only the Killer can see the Survivors Ping during a Trial but not vice-versa. Because having good Ping does not matter at all, as long as the Killer does not have good Ping, I mostly have 40 Ping at max, but this means nothing.
-
IMO it is ok if high mobility Killers have an advantage. In the end, their mobility is part of their strengths and it should also matter during EGC.
The only problem I have is if Gates are so close to each other that the Killer basically does not have to move to watch them both. This is something which should change.
-
To be fair, when the Claudette-Skin won, many people were upset because "this is not Claudette". Maybe they want to avoid something like this again and want more Cosmetics which would be more in line with the Lore.
-
Without a video not much to say to be honest.
Maybe they are just using their Speed Boost after a Hit? The best to do vs Nurse after a Hit is holding w to get distance, quite a lot of Survivors dont do that and just run to the next tile and try to hide there. Red Ranks are those Survivors where it is more expected that they just run away after getting hit.
But as said, without a video evidence, nobody can really say anything, just guessing at this point.
-
Yeah, they seem to be outdated. My GPU died on me a few days ago and the best I could get in a short time was a 1050 TI (for way too much money, but the GPU-market is horrible at the moment), and I cannot run the game on Ultra anymore and even on High I have some FPS-Drops next to completed Generators or in the Dream World.
While those are first world problems, it just shows that the system requirements are really outdated. Might be the poor optimization, but it clearly feels like you need a PC which is well above of what DBD should need according to the requirements.

I try to keep it positive, but didn't the Twins also get a delay?
Yet, they still came with the worst game breaking bugs.
Twins did not come delayed. But the DLC was unfinished since many Perks were bugged and some functions of Twins were not working/not implemented.
The Midchapter afterwards was delayed.

Of course slugging is tunneling. If the Killer goes after the unhooked person, they are tunneling, regardless if they pick the Survivor up or not. Not getting hit by DS because of slugging does not mean that the Killer was not tunneling. The same the other way around, getting hit by a DS from a Survivor who was repairing a Gen does not mean that the Killer tunneled.

Short answer: Yes, she was designed for P2P, not for Dedicated Servers.
Long answer: Yes, BUT the Devs have talked a few months ago to rework Dead Hard so that it works on Dedicated Servers. Basically the same problem, designed for P2P, Killer having 0 Ping. They came up with that over a year after Dedicated Servers were released and months have passed since then without any more information. AND we dont even know the result, maybe they end up breaking the Perk.
Now imagine how long it would take to recode Huntress AND have a similar feeling for the Huntress-player like now, with it being fair for the Survivor as well. Because in the end, Huntress should not be broken by the Devs attempt to fix her.
So I doubt that there will be something happening anytime.
But I totally understand the frustration, Huntress was one of the most fun Killers to go against, but since Dedicated Servers, she is not fun to play against IMO. Hits look simply wrong. It gets even worse on EU, because I think that many Russian players are playing her (probably because she is a Russian Character) and since Russians have to connect to EU-Servers, they will have high Ping (without them being at fault at all), so the Hits will be miserable.

I agree with that, I said so in my post. What I wish they would do is communicate with us better about the upcoming patch dates even if they have to delay it.
Honestly, if they would communicate it and then delay it, they would get ######### on by people as well. Surely it should be understandable that delays happen, but not with the DBD-Community.
The Devs cannot win, no matter what they do.

-
I am waiting for the days after the Rework, when Killers realize that they still lose games because they are bad and not because of DS. And they will try to go for the next Perk. Yay.
-
IMO not. Playing with 3 Perks the whole game (or even 2, for the Majority of the game when also playing Corrupt), does not sound that good. And most of the time the Killers who are stacking so much Slowdown are not good at the game, which means that they dont even get value from stacking so many Slowdown-Perks.
Like, Ruin and PGTW will do nothing if you cannot down Survivors...
-
Starting the Trial asleep.
-
Killer. But only if they are not throwing a tantrum everytime they lose.
-
Ruin/Corrupt is a bad combo, really. Instead of going to a Gen immediatly, they have to move, which makes it more likely to find Ruin early.
Let alone that you are posting a 4K with Clown, despite Ruin broken early and their Loadouts. You must have played quite well as well.

Here you go @Superyoshiegg
A far cry from "people only complained about the thong". Keep check of your perception of things and question why you would have a problem with people only complaining about the thong in the first place. Like sure those people exist but getting flustered over them existing clearly made you blind to all of the other complaints.
I mean, the thong will go, no matter what.
But regarding the rest, IMO the most important thing is that the artist is happy. It would be really bad if someone designs a Cosmetic, it wins a contest and the ingame-result does not look like the winning design. So I am quite happy that they delayed it.
-
No, you are completely twisting my logic.
I said that things which are only possible on PC but not on Console should be considered as exploits. Because apparently they were not intended to work that way, otherwise all players would have the chance to do so.
Then you say that an exploit ("pausing" while rushing as Blight) is possible on all Platforms and therefore no Exploit. Which is nonsense, because it is an exploit to begin with.
Thats like the biggest nonsense I have read this month.

They work perfectly fine when your face on. The thing is if your at a slight angle then it is extremely inconsistent. Locker blinds have 10000000% been changed recently I know that for certain.
I would agree that there might be something off with Flashlight Saves from an angle. There were two instances where I am 100% sure I got the timing right and still did not get the save. In one of those instances I even was running away already before realizing that it did not work.
I thought that I messed up somehow (even tho, as I said, I was 100% sure that I got the right timing), but if others also have experienced that...
I dont know anything about Locker Blinds tho, never tried them.

Survivors are allowed to spin on the spot at 200mph so I don’t see why killers can’t. Also the amount running stretched rez now is getting ridiculous. Let not forget those survivors that are also allowed to get fast vaults at windows designed to only give medium vaults.
There is a huge difference between things that are possible on every platform and things which are only possible on PC. The latter ones should be clearly seen as exploits and fixed.
-
Hag and Freddy.
I played Hag a lot, mostly to get all Perks on her. But I am not planning to touch her, except for the fact of getting all Perks again. I just hate playing Hag, it is boring because you cannot chase and I really just like the gameplay.
For Freddy, I will also only play him to get all Perks (currently not even close to that I think), because I can feel my brain dying when playing him. Like, no challenge at all.
-
Considering that Bond has a 36m-Range, it might be too much.
IMO, it should remove the Aura Read from X Survivors, depending on the Tier:
Tier 1 - remove Aura Read to all Survivors
Tier 2 - remove Aura Read to two Survivors
Tier 3 - remove Aura Read to one Survivor
Always the one(s) who are far away so that you cannot gain the effect immediatly again. Would make the perk better already.

That's supposed to happen, if a survivor makes a mistake, they should be punished and potentially lose the game, resulting in them getting lower MMR and getting matched with a killer who's more suited for their skill level. 😅
Yes, thats what I said. But people here sometimes act as if Survivors can get away with all mistakes they make. Which is not true. And it is also not true that a Killer has to play perfectly to win.
-

People forget that killers are supposed to put survivors in a mindgame situation where they have to guess what you're going to do.
If the survivor predicts correctly, they get more chase time.
If the survivor predicts incorrectly, they take damage.
The point is that the survivor didn't mess up, they just failed at guessing. They have no control at a 50/50 if you're unpredictable, you as the killer did well to be unpredictable and put the survivor in the dilemma of potentially taking a hit. Not the other way around.
I am talking about real mistakes, not getting outplayed. Like bodyblocking when the Killer is carrying the Survivor, unsafe Hook Rescues, going for Flashlight-Saves which dont work, being inefficient. Those happen all the time and the Survivors indeed get punished for that. Basically things that give the Killer Map Pressure without them even have to do something for it.

There are plenty of good swfs out there. Voice communication, good teamwork, and each survivor has thousands of hours experience on the game. On PC EU the game has a very dedicated playerbase and I see these teams all the time. If you're lucky they're just good, if you're unlucky they're really good and also toxic and only out to troll other players.
Do they have unique callouts for parts of the map like tournament teams? probably not, but they all know how to run a killer, killer weaknesses, which gens to hit first, how to waste the killers time, and how to split the map. Why should we have a situation where these groups are literally unbeatable? especially when so many of them are toxic and the kind of groups that put people off playing killer altogether, hence the queue times.
I am playing on PC EU and yes, I know that some Content Creators say that there are really good players. But as I said, I still have decent results, and I would not say that I am really good at playing Killer. And if I can manage to get to Rank 1 without any problems and win most of my games, others will be even more capable of doing so.
And as I said, I only ran into a Tournament Team exactly once (some of the players were playing in Hexys-Tournament) but thats about it. Another SWF was really strong, but those were on Console, so I dont know if they ever participated in tournaments. I also played against Tournament Killers, but again, those are really rare.
Most of the players on EU PC are not good. Even when they are playing in SWF.

Didnt scott and dowsey both say though that the current problem is you'll eventually reach a floor to a killer that you basically cant pass without nurse or spirit. For instance otz probably with 50 wins on legion could face oracle since his mmr is so high. Well he loses because its legion against a 4man swf. Dowseys and scotts main problem was itll make the game real lackluster if the highest games are nurse spirit or lose. Obviously this is the top 1% but the fogwhisperers do help populate the game a good bit and it seems bhvr is moving towards tourneys since they literally hosted their own. (Which idk why when they know for a fact this game cannot be tourney)
Yes, this is correct. However, MMR will most likely even out those "extreme cases". Dowsey with Twins is an extreme case, he won so many games (I think it was 879 Kills vs 1 escape), of course because he is a good Killer player, but also because the majority of Survivors are bad. I have never played against Dowseys Twins (but against other Killers when he was playing, sometimes he won, sometimes the Survivors won), but if MMR would have been calculated from the start AND used for Matchmaking, he would not have to face those Tournament-SWFs.
Because the game will check for more even games, so Dowsey will have stronger players at some point and this makes it harder to gain more MMR, since he will lose more often. And if he keeps playing Twins, he will lose against those SWFs with MMR active, until he is in an area where he can win with them again.
(At least this is how it should work, I dont trust the MMR-System at all)
-
@D3spair said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2035146#Comment_2035146
Lets take out the MMR system for now then. Do you think there's any Killer(except Nurse or Spirit) at all that stands a chance against the team that Dowsey played against? Like if the greatest Trapper/Wraith played against then would they win even in a good Killer map?
Probably not. But as I said, those are rare. You cannot balance the game around players like this, because this would mean that 99% of Survivors have a miserable experience.
Let alone that Dowsey himself is an exceptionally good Killer player, but the game should neither be balanced around players like Dowsey nor around the Survivors he went against.
This would mean that most of the playerbase will have bad games from that point, if you are catering for a really small minority. I mean, how many real tournaments squads exist worldwide? 20? At max?
