Wow...tell it to the 2x2 swf groups that rekt me last night while I played billy.Chi said:I am expecting a lot of git gud and the likes for this but whatever.
I can't be the only one who thinks that instasaw on Billy is just unfair and unfun to play against.
One got cocky at the end...was the only reason I got a hook.
You "git gud" at survivor and I will "git gud" with billy.
Cuz clearly some survivors are VERY good against a mid-level Billy player. -
Different perks are good for different builds. I use NOED on doc 3 gen strategy. Works well.
NOED is a great end game perk (but has a drawback....If you reach end game, the survivors SHOULD have cleansed the totems)
If they didn't, they deserve to get one-shot.
Roll what you want....so long as you don't break ToS, it's all gg. -
Is ANYBODY (killer) at their best in haddonfield?
Some killers may do better there, yes, but is this map a "strong" map for any particular killer!? -
LF was the first hero (killer) I leveled to 50.
He's great. Straightforward, honest gameplay.
Camp when you camp. Tunnel when you tunnel. And blow through survivors like they are tissue paper.
That said....now that I have played so many others....
I still like him when I want to soak up some post game salt for my sore muscles.
Pig is fun too....just VERY hit or miss for me. -
Something I didn't expect to see.
For example....I log in, matches cues up and I waltz over to a gen and there is some weird ass killer....nothing mentioned in patch notes or release...something I have not seen before....And never seen in this game. Just staring at me...
I mutter, "what the f***....Christ on a cracker, this game is scary". Rip my headphones off, slam my laptop shut only to reveal...
That very same killer is standing in front of me in my living room....
BOOM!!! I would crap my pants.I
That situation would scare me. Otherwise, this game is fun and awesome. -
AI mode. You could still group with your friends but wouldn't be paired with randoms.
for online games, it's kind of the only fix aside from creating your own group.
It's the same for any online co-op game. -
I was only half kidding about the infinite ds but not entirely about the knife tool. Maybe it increases your chance of being cut loose from the hook? Or can swipe at killer to blind him/her.Utna said:@Attackfrog said:

New survivor tool...you can now cut the killer to stun him/her and it makes for infinite decisive strikes!
Not op at all!
Infinite DS is a big No No. But what about a perk that change the end game ... Let's say : if you are the last survivor alive, the hatch doesn't open at all. Instead you get the opportunity to kill the killer by backstabbing him/her. Off course the killer would have a large speed debuff. The amount of blood point given for such an action should be quite substatial.
There is plenty they could do with it. The fact that you and I are thinking of it almost ensures that developers have brainstormed the idea too. -
The bear would have to be the killer....Or would he....BACKSTABBER said:another option is a mountain guard or forest ranger of the mountain shelter or skying station

or

Maybe the guy is a new firestarter killer and Smokey is the new survivor...with perks like "sticky fingers" from eating too much honey and "only you" where he puts out fires on the forums from people getting flamed for ridiculous posts! -
I read the best suggestion from @Blueberry (well....after my prediction that the character in the teaser is the survivor) and that....what if the new character is both survivor and killer!
That would definitely be something new. I am all for mechanics that buck the system (like abathur in HotS).
Not sure if @Blueberry was the first to mention it but it was the first I read and thought "YES! PLEASE!"
I am probably setting the bar pretty high but every killer has a unique mechanic and I wouldn't put it past these developers to do something cool like that. -

Or maybe a crazy survivor with multiple personalities and a knife!
-
When all 4 pop in at once...flashlights....toolboxes...Maybe an immersed Claudette or two and maybe a p3 laurie...
I roll my eyes, mutter something like "Christ on a cracker..." And then redo my load out to take grays so I dont waste my high end addons getting rekt the whole match.
but I still don't dodge. -
I remember when I played this game in beta....and hated it.
One of the worst gaming disappointments ever....I was SO looking forward to this game....
Few years later...I love it. Top 5 favorite games I think. -
I sure hope it is the survivor! A survivor with mpd? Sounds pretty cool.
-
I am still holding out hope that this pic is actually the new survivor.
How interesting would that be!? I might actually play survivor more of that were the case. -
If we are camping so many things at once....is it really camping?
-
Those stats sound legit.
I must be one of the 40%ers....cuz I have never dodged a single lobby.
I have dc'd before though (American internet is AWEFUL). -
Which is why I am hoping that pic they released was actually of the survivor (not the killer).Redient said:No survivor main would buy a DLC to get the new ugly victin with useless perk, it's easier to farm it.
Most of killer mains drool over buying with real money the new DLC to be the one to have the new perks killers and powers to kill survivors with, using the new-killer-advantage to get easy pips kills and BP.
Not only each DLC is basically killer-sided - providing fun only to one side - but that also explains why more care is given to killer mains opinions than to survivor mains.
MONEY.
It would be an interesting change to have the survivor be truly unique. -
I been saying it all along! I hope it was the survivor. That would be a fun twist to have a lunatic survivor!xChrisx said: -

3 things that a skilled killer doesn't need.
I am a badly killer and i use tunneling and noed. (Don't like camping)
Skilled streamer (Tru3 at example) every game kill 3-4 survivors without tunneling , camping and NOED(except few killer sometimes like wraith)
Howrver I'm not going to deny that the game breaks a little bit against the very best survivors. You can be hooking someone every 30 seconds or so and it still won't be enough. You need overwhelming pressure on them, like 2 hooked at once. This can be hard for most killers to do on the large maps.
They only cry because they lost to someone doing those things....
And if they lost to that kind of killer....
And that kind of killer is "bad"...
Well then that makes that particular survivor even worse than a "bad killer".
Forum logic never fails to make me lol.
The killer had the power in this game. The killer moves faster. Sure you can loop them but if theres a delay in the connection or not many pallets around it can be asy for the killer to sneak in hits.
So you're wronn but like most killers you're trying to downplay it to justify camping and tunneling. Anything to win eh?
-
That makes sense. I enjoy all the killers, but for some reason, her learning curve just gets me.powerbats said:@Attackfrog said:
Of all the killers, I do worst with huntress. I even do better with freddy. It just seems like I can't even find survivors with her, and when I do, they are able to juke and dodge my hatchets.
Maybe I just suck with her.
She just takes practice is all, Freddy you can fire and forget her you need to practice with her. You can learn some good techniques in kyf with her.
Nurse and spirit were so hard at first but are getting so much better and rewarding....but huntress...idk. She's just not my jam I think...but to be fair, I haven't put forth a lot of effort to learn and improve with her.
-
Sometimes I camp for no reason at all. And take the 1k just to see how salty and angry the comments will be after the game.
I guess that's weird.
Oh well. -

....Or is this ACTUALLY the SURVIVOR!?!?Oh my gourd! Yeah! well wait!!! there are four reflections, one of them is different, like an imitation of the others, blending in. The killer has got to be some kind of shapeshifter or impersonator... I'm betting the thing!!! That bish is old as hell... or was the old killer coming in chapter 11? Maybe this is a teaser for ch 11 and not 10?
Would be kind of cool if they introduced a crazy survivor. I don't play survivor much but I probably would play a lunatic survivor.
The knife doesn't fit though...unless it's a new survivor tool. Lol knife = infinite DS's!!!
-
....Or is this ACTUALLY the SURVIVOR!?!?

I am excited. Call me a fanboy but every killer has been really well done (even if some are clearly weaker) and I have fun with them all!
I think a multi-kiler or multi-personality killer would be amazing.
Either way, probably and instant buy from me based on all their other killers. -
I didn't know Canadians celebrated thanksgiving too...so many questions, like:
Do they also eat turkey?
Did the native Canadians try to steal their land too and Canadian Pilgrims had to fight them off?
Is the Friday after Canadian Thanksgiving also a huge holiday celebrating the miracle of commerce called Black Friday? -
And when they get hit, they drop lumps of stuffing and mashed potatoes instead of blood.I
Also, happy thanksgiving everyone! -
Good survivors will wear down my 3 gen strat eventually, even if there are only 2-3 left by this point (which there should be!)
You hit them, they try to pull you off gens by running away from the 3 gens. If you stay on gens, they justheal, which draws out the game.
Survivors healing holds the game hostage because I have hit them so many times at this point I am BP capped in the "hit" category lol!
Healing should be nerfed when I play doctor because it holds the game hostage and is annoying for me.
-
I wouldn't call this a "new" level of toxicity.
Maybe a "Same as always" level of toxicity. -
Caveman or viking type killer?
Both would fit the snow...then again, it's a ski lodge (I think).
At this point....It could be anything, but it's still fun to speculate. -
You could always do what your teammates did and just not get hooked in the first place.
If you're tunneled, find a loop.
If your hooked, you didn't play well enough.
Easy as that. -
Should be titled:
"Try this one weird trick to stop campers"
Or
"Best camping strategy; survivor mains hate this guy"
Or
" This killer loves to camp and the internet is going crazy for it" -
I haven't read this thread but...
Taco Bell is the best fast food.
Folks may disagree on the best menu item, but we can all agree it is fantastic. The "meat" may not be meat but when it tastes that good...hell...who cares.
What's your favorite menu item? Mine is the ANYTHING. ALL OF IT TASTES GOOD.

I want something darker...more gothic.
This year's event was more of a spring flavored event, especially for a game as dark as this.
Please....more horror content, not just bright orange flowers....that was a major disappointment....especially when you have a character who is LITERALLY the face of Halloween....and you did NOTHING with him....AND he had a brand new movie out. Seruously!?! But you chose orange gooey costumes.that stand out like a sore thumb??? Yes, they look cool but I won't use them.
I am not sure who Green lit this year's event, but please....do not let him/her be in charge of ANY future events! This was actually the biggest gaming disappointment for this particular holiday.
Hell....Even DCUO does a better Halloween event than this game. -
If NOED is for bad killers...
And you lost to a killer using NOED....
Well, surely you can connect the dots. -
It happens off screen. I can think of 1 particular instance with the principle in part VIII in the alley...he sees jason, runs inside a building then gets thrown out the 2nd floorfloor almost immediately.purebalance said:@Attackfrog said:

In his movies there have been several instances where the victim is running from him, they round a corner or turn around and he is right there in front of them. It usually happens when they are running from him.
I can think of two instances off the top of my head (in part VIII). Obviously, we never actually see him teleport since it happens when the victim looks away.
Maybe "teleport" is probably not quite the right word....It's not exactly a teleport like nurse, but it is about the only thing I can think of (in terms of powers) that might be viable in this game.
Shifting? I’ve played the F13 game before, so I was going off that. And since he just kinda... appears outta nowhere, he’s like the Spirit- in a sense.
Yeah, shifting works and sounds better than teleporting lol. It's just one of those things I think that works in the movies but might be hard to put into a video game without making it seem out of character for him. Part of what makes it work in the movies is that you don't ever actually see him do it...just the before and after lol.
I would be all for them to try though.
Except it really doesn't happen in the movies. He's just really fast and stealthy. I mean Myers does the same things in the movies and doesn't have anything other than stealth and speed.
It would have to be super speed then, but the idea is the same...first he is in one place, then in an instant he is in the next. It is almost like the instant you take your eyes off him he can reappear right next to you. -

I would like to see them as long as they fit the DbD aesthetic.
I would still like to see an ice cream man type killer....but I wouldn't even know where to begin with his powers.
A werewolf would probably be fun too.
Even a vampire...Maybe with a hypnotize style ability (like Freddys lol). -
I should probably be a moderator.
I would promote everyone (so long as they promoted killer buffs and held my same opinions and beliefs). -
Well, Freddy is the P2W OP character so that makes sense.SiftHeadsDude said:I was called “pay to win trash” because I killed a guy, last, as Freddy lol

I gotta say, however bizarre it is, I very much enjoy discussing politics within gaming commuities. Used to do it on the forums on my favourite game (Sacrifice back from 2000... what a game!). It was a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure this forum has some rule against discussing politics, but many of you'd be surprised how constructive such discussions with random folks can be. As long as we can ignore the trolls of course.
I really enjoyed the MHO forums and actually learned a fair amount about the MCU, diversity, finances and political backing (and how they overlap!) from that forum.....which was the Marvel Heroes forum.
But there are always trolls. Sometimes you can't change a person's beliefs but Sometimes you can at least allow them to see a different side....which has happened several times to me.
I have found that most reasonable people will listen to reason. You can't change someone's priorities but sometimes you can help them see why you have yours. -
Jeez..sometimes I read your comments and I feel like our brains think the same! I know that is probably an insult to you and a compliment to me....but...are you my long lost brother? Or....Master said:@Croz said:
I think making struggle phase more rewarding while in the killer's terror radius should fix camping. As in if you're being camped and you get to the struggle phase you get enough point to black pip or if you had enough objective at some point it might be enough to pip. This will encourage survivors who are being camped to stay and waste the killer's time. Being camped is not fun and in most cases players just suicide on hook when they realize they're being camped to just go to the next game and that in my opinion is why some killers still do it looking for the one hook kills and easy wins.
I think making looping phase more rewarding while being within a certain radius from the survivor should fix looping. If youre been looped and you follow the survivor, then you get enough emblem points as if the survivor didnt loop.
This will encourage killers who are being looped to stay and waste the survivors time. Being looped is not fun and in most cases killers just camp after being looped when they realize that they have been looped for several gens and just wiat till the game is over and proceed with the next game.
Btw, killers camp because survivors reward them for doing it and throwing each other at the hook instead of simply doing their objective, and yes thats an easy win if the survivors are stupid enough

Maybe.....
Daddy!?
Anyway, I was about to type something very similar to your comment and saw this. Nuff said. -
I got a 66%...just like earning my doctorate!
D's get degrees!!! -
I hate when my camped hook DCs. I feel robbed.
I do camp....when I need to secure a kill. It just works (sometimes).
If you don't like it, don't get hooked. -
Wait....do we not get sponsored if we do good?
I spent my life savings on a DbD coach!!! -
I am sure if you play against him more you will learn how to spot when he is strong or weak and slow. I like the learning curve in this game....It rewards skill and learning, which is not true of many games out there.XxAtomicAlfiexX said:@Nutty_Professor said:

mike needs a nerf, i think his movement speed should decrease the higher tier he is not the opposite way around, when he leaves tier 3 he should go back to tier 1 and when he goes up a tier his terror radius should increase. this would make it so survivors have a chance against mike. i'm aware that survivors have an upper hand against killers but mike is plain stupid to play against.I'm a survivor main and Micheal is fine as he is at the moment. Having to go back to tier 1 is not a good idea as Micheal can only stalk a survivor for a certain amount of time before stalking them won't fill their evil within.
Playing against Micheal you just need to be smart about trying to loop him, so that you don't feed his power. You can do this by staying out of his line of sight or putting him in a situation that he does stalk you he'll either lose valuable ground in the chase or he'll lose you entirely.
The only issue I have with Micheal is his perks, as they encourage a tunnelling style of play.
if you go through the comments you'll know i have already said that mike is fine and it was me being butt hurt. i'm actually fine with mikes.
It makes me happy to see your comments because this game needs more people that realize this!
