  • There was also that fat victim in Friday the 13th part V....the one who gets axed by the other kid.

He could throw a candy wrapper on the ground for the killer to slip on.

ALso, maybe a perk that soaks an extra hit due to have an excess of fat tissue. Killers have to swing extra hard to get to the vitals.
  • i have to say the shape not overpowered even his add ons require lots of mechanical skill to fully use unlike some other red add ons cough iridescent heads cough and as for his kit its just plain fun to play and his base perks make interesting combos

I would agree. He plays just like he acts in his movies (the good ones anyway haha!). They did a great job with him.

ALso....I think Leatherface is very well made in terms of pkaystyle. Very straight forward....brutish and big and fast. His add-ons are a different story, but I feel like a big brute when I play him.

Nurse in my opinion. I love her design, backstory, power, etc. To me she is a blast to play against because of how threatening she is. For alot of folks on here considering her balanced would be more of a subjective opinion depending on how you look at things. I personally consider her to be balanced at her base form. She is a very fair killer to play against if you are good at mindgames and not just loops. The only thing that makes her unbalanced are her extra blink addons which serve as a hard crutch for bad nurses that make a misplay.

I enjoy playing her because she is all skill. Its fun being able to translate your experience into performance increases that you can see. Makes playing her feel rewarding and gives you a sense of accomplishment. Playing against her is great because of how much she changes the gameplay. Nurse 10/10 best killer. A terrifying foe that is a force to be reckoned with.

Totally agree about nurse. I think your description is exactly what they were shooting for when they designed her (or at least I hope so lol). So rewarding when played well....so frustrating when I am not 100% focused on playing the game.

To be honest, I haven't played a single killer who I thought was poorly designed. Even Freddy....who is weak, has such a cool mechanic. In theory, it is exactly how he works in the movies. In execution....it definitely needs some work, but in whole it's exactly how you want him to be (living in the dream world and having to force survivors into his world). It's just too bad he is so weak once they're asleep lol!
  • I have run away from them in attempts to play nice. They motion for.me to follow, then try to drop pallets and loop me....not your typical.farming behavior. i run away revving chainsaw as Billy as a sign to come farm. I'll even stand in  front of pallets and nod toward it.

Then, when they are all chasing me, I pop chainsaw and down one....hook em.And camp it and slug the rest as they come in. It's good for anywhere from a 1-4k.

This particular situation arrives VERY rarely...In the games where I am trying to camp and survivors don't want to but then proceed to taunt me rather than exit. I try to put up every flag possible but some people just want to tbag and taunt.

Whatever they get is what they deserve.

  • I am failing to see how anyone is able to "quantify" any of those changes given the exorbitant amount of and constantly shifting variables.

Even if you had access to developers metrics, it would be impossible. This is why games release patches and balance changes. Things change once thousands of people and countless situation s arise in a game.

I am not sure if this graph was supposed to be serious, but if so....I have no idea where to begin to illustrate how ridiculous it is.

I don't see how this ranking system is any better than what we had before.

It better masks the inabilities of killer.
Now killer can get a participation trophy if they had been unable to kill anybody.

    This ^^ Exactly this ^

It's literal only function is covering up how weak the killers are. "well we don't wanna make the killers strong so instead we'll just change what winning means" - devs. So now instead of thinking you won or lost based on kills we'll make them think they won because of points even though they killed no one. EVERYONE WINS!

The killer doesn't win. Even poorly played killers can now rank up and are forced to play with more skilled survivors, no matter how bad we are. Ranking up is not a reward.

It is extremely hard NOT to rank up, or even derank. You'd almost have to....dare I say it...TRY to derank.

  • The developers must hate the scientific method!

I suck and I have seen lvl 20 solo survivors steamroll me when I camp if they get their crap together.

If you are dying to a facecamper, first blame yourself for getting caught. Then blame your teammates for letting you get facecamped.

Bullshit. The only time a facecamper is really punished is if you get extremely lucky with randoms or you're SWF. Or the killer is just plain bad which explains the facecamping typically. The whole "blame yourself for getting caught" ######### really needs to stop. There's a huge difference between unsafe unhooking, kiting the killer near a hook and having someone else stupidly unhook vs the killer not going out and actually hunting the other survivors like the game was meant to be played.

First: I just said how bad I am. And yet survivors seem to be able to overcome my camping. Pretty often actually! Kiting me, blinding me, blocking me...you name it.

Second: I am pretty sure killers hunting and hooking survivors is how the game is "meant to be played".

If getting camped is so troublesome for you, try playing killer. It's clearly way easier. And maybe you could be the shining example for us bad killers of a great, non-camping, nice killer.

You can't change how killers play. I can't change how you play....But you can. If you are struggling, maybe check out some vids on YouTube and change your play style so you don't get caught and camped as much.

I do play killer and my killer rank is better than my survivor. I'm rank 1 atm without using Billy or Nurse and I do not camp except in extremely rare or situational times. You can 100% change how killers play by implementing the change I suggested. -5 BP per 3 seconds of being near a hooked survivor flashed on the screen would easily deter people from camping and it really isn't much. For most baddies, just seeing that flash on the screen would be enough for them to stop considering they don't even think about how bad the BP for EVERYONE is when they camp.

When I camp, it's not for the bps. Why should I get punished when I see a second survivor trying to pull me off the hook so a 3rd could free you.

Your system would only work if it only activated if there wasn't a survivor within x meters of the hook. Othereise, you are just punishing me for playing the game as it was "meant to be played" when really it is your teammates who are killing you by rushing the hook when they should be opening chests, destroying totems and popping gens.

That's not camping. You're also currently not penalized if they were there. However, more than likely if you have them "trying to pull you off the hook" they weren't there and you were camping like a bad player to begin with. You should get punished because you decided to stay there and ruin the game for both yourself and other players by not leaving initially. Nobody is saying that you should leave the hook when you literally see a survivor there.

I have been in plenty of game where I hook, the n turn around d and see people trying to blind me or pull the person. Also, I hook, go kick the nearby gen that just exploded and come back to check my hook and There is some one trying to free my hook.

Most people consider that camping and your system would penalize me for it. But even if I planted my fat ass right by the hook, why should I get punished for it via bloodpoints? I will already be punished by only getting one sac and no other bps (so long as your teammates are doing their jobs).

Sucks for the one on the hook, but then again, you did get caught. And there should be some penalty for that. Other wise, why avoid it?

  • All killers need nerfs. Right now, baseline, it takes just two hits to down a survivor, and BEST case, only 3x hooking to sacrifice them. That is WAY TOO few for survivors to even stand a chance!

This is bonkers. It should take AT LEAST 5 hits to down a survivor and AT LEAST 5 hooks to sacrifice. Some survivors, like the soldier guy or the boxer guy and maybe that tough-looking girl should take AT LEAST 7 hits to down.

Plus survivors all look pretty fit and should move at least 120% move speed of killer.

Also:too few pallets and too few hatches and too many hooks on maps. Camping should be insta-ban....from the internet forever.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • It's all perspective.

If they said "gg" or "wp", then you truly failed.

But they wish you to die or get cancer or any other terrible ailments! That means you did it! You won!

You, as a killer, in a digital (fake) world, caused another human being who is playing the same game as you, so much distress, that they wished the worst their feeble minds could conjure upon you! What greater feeling is there!?

If this bothers you, perhaps you should play survivor. Otherwise, keep it up, killer!
  • I wish more survivors would disconnect. Makes.things easier for me.

I wouldn't mind having only 1-3 survivors every match actually.

So much easier....except for farming obviously.
  • SWF blows but....just depip...or screw around....or farm your daily.

I have so much fun in this game just screwing around. It earns me bps....I level up but depip....

I get the swf frustration....it really is imbalanced, but against 4 solo survivors, after you practice for a bit, you will own them, which makes it really fun.

Don't give up though. Practice and get better and eventually you too will receive death threats and suicide recommendations in post game chat!
  • What the hell!?!?!?

     "Gg"!?!? In a 4 k? With CAMPING!?!?!?

    Who are you? Jesus?
  • People keep not reading the last part. Is it TL:DR worthy? lol

No. Leave it. The posts are what make it awesome.
  • @Rebel_Raven I have the feeling 90% of replies here don't get the joke.
This is no joke. I don't understand your humor.

Gen camping is a serious issue and should be bannable.

I freaking kick it...and try to be a good killer and search for other survivors....3 seconds later I hear the telltale sign of someone repairing my gen. With some dumbass Dwight on stand-by with a flashlight...camping out and waiting for the stun.

Same for exit gates. I turn my back for 3 seconds and There is some stupid Claudette opening them. I try to find someone to hook and when I get back, 3 tea bags are waiting at the exit.

Oh and the hatch!!! They camp the hatch like it is the HOLY ****ING GRAIL!!!!

Camping is a toxic and unfair strategy....and certainly NO joking manner. If you don't understand that this is a serious problem then you are a survivor main in disguise and a toxic player!

YOU are Reported for bannable behavior (pretending to be a killer and posting something I disagree with!)

Devs please fix asap or I will cry. And cry and cry some more!
  • You should have informed the killer of which lockers they were in.
    and then farmed some bps
  • But with a body like hers....who's even looking at her FACE anyway!?!?

    Amirite!!!!
  • I wish for survivors to have it worse! As killers, it's our job to abuse survivors and It's their job to escape.

If killers are getting abused, something is sorely wrong with the game.
  • Don't forget to post the chat comments! That's the bestpart!!!

Not is it my job to make sure they get blood points.

My job is to get as close to a 4 k as possible and obey the ToS, even if that means choosing "dirty" perks or "playing unfairly". Unless it violates ToS, then it's fair game.

Survivors can do the same thing. I camp when I need to and don't when I dont. If a survivor cries about that, oh well. ...Next time being ds and pallet loop me...you probably won't get hooked as easily.

There is NO excuse for a camping killer.
    Never.

You can try and justify it as much as you want, but I believe the only OK reason to monitor around the survivor is when your BBQ and Chilly doesn't show you anybody and you know they're around you.
    That's it.

I don't need an "excuse" for camping.
If I want that sucker dead, I camp. In most cases it is just playing efficient, because the other survivor will play superaltruistic anyway.
So there is fresh meat on a hook... sounds like a good bait to catch more for me, so I rather stay near and wait for the greedy douchebags to come running.

And sometimes you a get a group where you just know who the better survivors are. If I can manage to get one on the hook earlier in the game, it might be worthwhile to camp em off.

Cuz I know if the better survivors are out there somewhere, my chances for 3-4k is diminished.

Survivors: if you are getting camped a lot, it either means you are really bad (cuz you're on the hook so much) or really good (we want you out!).

It's like saying there is NO excuse for a pallet loop....

Both are ridiculous....But hey, if you want to believe that, by all means, please do! It just means you'll be spending a lot more time frustrated when playing the game.
  • For doc, I use an end game, 3 gen strategy. Try to save 3 gens within close proximity, and focus on getting 1-2 hooks earlier in the game. When.you are down to 3, focus on maintaining them and damaging (overcharge helps) and hopefully you will have broken enough pallets so they get mind gamed a bit.

Don't let them pull you so far away from the gens that they can pop the furthest one. And don't waste a ton of time in chases and try to time you shock so you can trap them and hit them.

It's a game.of patience but checking lockers near a recently hit gen can sometimes get you a quick hook.

By the time they whittle down that last gen and gates pop, you should be up to 2 sacrifices. Mostly you spend time trying to scramble.and injure them, breaking pallets for the illusion and damaging gens. It's a fast paced frantic style but it's fun.

Sometimes I run NOED and can slug and hook the last two. Sometimes they are super coordinated and have cleansed the totems, sometimes they are still in A locker and you get an easy hook....But depending how good they are, I always 2k....often 3k and sometimes 4k with this strategy. If I was better i would probably 4k more often but sometimes my patience runs out of they just don't make enough mistakes.

PS: There is almost no.camping or tunneling involved so end game chat may be unsatisfying, but if you run NOED and can grab that last survivor or two with it (slug and hook), you should see some.fun.comments. Plus, the playstyle.is very annoying to survivors so sometimes you get lucky and have someone go off on you anyway!
  • A.I. would fix this (like HotS vs AI mode).

One disconnects and get replaced with AI. Same for killer so survivors can continue their progress (dcer loses everything of course).
  • I opened this thread hoping for a discussion of some machine or object that generates actual "#########"s.
  • The best way to get someone to calm down is ALWAYS to tell them to "calm down".

    Works like a charm!

  • I find it really depends on the killer I am playing but a few things are fairly global: corn makes most things more difficult.

Also: is there any killer that is generally stronger in Haddonfield?

I know some killers are great with the confined indoor maps, but I tend to struggle in haddonfield with just about every killer.
  • If the chat frame is empty, I will honestly sit there staring at it for a good 2-3 minutes...

    Waiting....

    Hoping....

For that sign that I did a good job as a killer.

Sometimes it takes a b it for them to get to it, or perhaps to select the correct wording to most accurately convey how they feel.

Sometimes nothing ....or, worst of all: "gg".

    Ugh....I hate "gg".
  • I wish I would get some more salt on post chat and profile. Lately I don't get any hate mail whatsoever, even if I play unfun und bully on purpose to get a reaction
That's crazy. It must be RNG. Only time I don't get flame is when I get a 0-1k or if I am trying a new killer and have 0 add-ons and only 1 perk lol (they probably feel bad for me)

I have come to actually be MORE insulted when they don't say anything or they simply say GG.

It's like, what the hell!? Wasn't I hard enough to play against!? I couldn't even frustrate you and piss you off!? If I didn't upset you enough to threaten me or wish death upon me....then....Ugh... I failed as killer.
I wish I would get your survivors lol. Seriously, I'm the type of person who enjoys salt and hate mails, it always makes me laugh and basically became already a part of dbd I personally don't want to lose. But that's just me I guess, not many people like me enjoy and laugh about that
When I first started, I was like "#########!?" ....But now I have come to realize it is actually a good sign. The more vulgar and obnoxious the comments, the more I know I frustrated and abused them (as a good killer should).

Silence and "gg"....honestly makes me feel a little sad....like I failed.
  • I love this game (not sarcastic). I love playing as every killer and I love how unique they play and feel. Each one is so unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses. I champ at the bit for the next one to be released because I know it will be unique and fun...in it's own way.

The licensed killers are amazingly true to their movie roles. Each one plays like they were ripped from the script. I am not sure how they managed to make them so well thought out or if it was by accident, but they nailed each one.

There are imbalances but I don't mind., Because each has a very fun play style.

I love the perks (again not sarcastic) and I actually love that some feel "dirty" to take! I love that we can play against actual humans and can soak in some of their salt post game (still, not being sarcastic). Though sometimes I want an ai mode)

This game is not my brainless "check out" game, but I play it when I want to actually have fun and go up against realpeople, use my brain and engage with another human fighting to survive (or farm or whatever) Being beaten feels real and frustrating and winning that 4k feels rewarding (ESPECIALLY with post game chat).

I also love how there are really two factions on the foruns....It makes the actual game feel that much more fun.

Since MHO shut down, this is hands down my favorite game.
  • I wish I would get some more salt on post chat and profile. Lately I don't get any hate mail whatsoever, even if I play unfun und bully on purpose to get a reaction

Whau, poor little camper LF... That was a timing problem... Try to wait a little more to next time... Or try to play without camp... If you can.

Play without camping against a 4-man SWF with 2x flashlights, DS, and Deliverance, etc.?
You mean spend the whole match chasing and hooking 1 Survivor, walking away from the hook when there's only 1 gen left, and being thankful they at least let you get that many points?

Uff... You sound a little traumatized, I play as killer too sometimes, right now Im rank 2 (Im trying to derank but is pretty impossible), and yes, sometimes play against SWF is frustrating but is not all the games... Or you are very bad, or you have a problem with this game... No always mean you have to win, if they are good playing, and organizated probably they will win.. And ok... I dont feel the need to camp against a anom player that have DS or flashlight to feel me better, jjust play the next match and try to do it better..

Too much people in this game have a problem with his EGO for a game....

Sorry for my english, but I think you can understand me. :)

PLUS the problem in this topic is not the inmunity... The problem is the timing of the killer in the clip... So, is pointless complain about "the inmunity"

Lol listen to these baby survivors trying to ridicule you for "camping" (aka using an allowed and viable stategy).

I camp with LF all the time....It's his best strategy and people flame me post game. Doc is a different story with different playstyle....almost never camp. you have to play to the killer's strengths.

The  invulnerability when unhooking is borked in this game and very very silly. I agree with the OP. Every one who is flaming you for camping is probably just salty cuz they don't like being facecamped....But it's just the way it is.

I hate flashlights....they are completely silly and make no sense....But  they are a part of the game. The joy in getting better is learning to adapt to opponents strategies.....flashlights, DS, looping....and yes, camping.

If you are getting worked up about getting camped, maybe take a break or watch some videos on how to not get hooked in the first place.

    -NOED
    -Camping
    -Tunneling
    -Post game chat

    Hate
-nothing, this game is perfect. Any game that gets human beings as worked up and angry post game as this one does....is MY ****ING HERO!!!
  • I do well with LF in low ranks or against  newer survivors (I am guessing based on how they play).I

Against seasoned survivors and swf, I get owned. I'm lucky to get a single sac, and sometimes it comes down to a hard camp just to get that single kill.

Then agaun, maybe I just suck with him, but good survivors start jumping around corners and narrow corridors as soon as they see it revving. So you are basically left with your hammer.

Oh! I do like him when I'm in a chase in the cornfields though.
  • Survivor facts:
-survivors are more immature than killers
-survivors are more entitled than killers
-survivors require handouts to feel good
-survivors will cry if you don't let them win
-survivors will call you names and give you death threats if you kill them
-survivors will dc if they are the first one downed

These are simply facts and to argue them simply proves the point.

I just smiley face when they throw their salty baby tears. What really irks me though, is when they yell something totally off the wall and ridiculously vulgar at me to try to insult me and I lol so hard I spit my beer.

It's not fair. And it wastes beer. This is something that should be bannable.

Facecamp everyone with Leatherface (You got your 2 in 1. Revenge + deranks)
Other one is to afk as Freddy or Wraith. Because you end up with 0 score and a -2 depip

Yes I have done this from time to time (like when I am watching something netlifx). You de pip and the post game chat is amazing.

I might accidentally get a sacrifice, but jthey will probably be freed...ust tunnel them at any cost and slug.

Again, the post game chat is priceless and you get a depip.

Otherwise just play Freddy and actually try to win. You'll de pip anyway.
  • Or at least a trade in forSOMETHING. Kind of a joke that they aren't worth anything at all after event. That is pretty rare (and dumb) for an online game these days....especially give n the cost.

Jesus....Even when I played MHO, those developers allowed you to trade in event currency.
  • It's basically porn....If you are an 85 year old necrophiliac.

Not sure how much of the player base that makes up, but these days, if you don't go out of your way to cater to even the slightest minority, you are basically a racist.
  • Jesus christ.
  • They should just put an icon above person's head in the lobby if they are swf

Yes! Such an easy fix! Us killers can't ######### about swf anymore and we can be free to play against more balanced teams(not being sarcastic. I think it would be great)/

If they are too many lobby dodges they will maybe realize it is an F'd mechanic.

I probably wouldn't lobby dodge 2....But 3-4, with immersed characters and toolboxes/flashlights.....no thank you.
  • I love it. If I get steamrolled by a swf group, it usually allows me to to turn a 0k into at least a 1k. I love when they tbag and get shot down, then hooked.

If I am lucky, I can drop one more too and hook em.

If they would have just run out, it would have been g-over....But no, they had to get those last few blood points and try to run it in. Lol.
