If its not a female survivor, im quitting the game
-
but theres a noticeable difference between console and pc. PC players would have such an advantage over console players because of their better frames, more sensitivity, etc. As much as I love the idea, theres so much more work that needs to go into making console better plus dedicated servers before cross platform can happen.
-
Most likely this Tuesday since they usually show the teaser a week before the actual PTB
-
It would also be cool if they added doors to the game that can kinda act as a pallet where you can close them to waste a killer's time but the stores wouldn't stun the killer either
-
That actually sounds pretty cool. Like vaulting through one could put you in the injured state and vaulting it could also put you in the injured state if you run and vault through it. And if you are already injured, then vaulting the window again can put you in the mending state where if you vault it say 3 times, you go into the dying state
-
if we get a PTB on Tuesday that would be weird since we usually get a teaser the Thursday before the PTB releases

Well, I was right. It was indeed not on Feb 19th. We might see it tonight or tomorrow though, possibly. I would wager either tomorrow or next thursday.Teasers are usually released on Thursdays so its unlikely that this new one will be released tomorrow, which is strange because I was fully ready for a teaser today

Hi Zebee! I like your theory and I definitely think its possible considering 4 people in the mirror plus having it relate to the Hallowed Blight event

I hope we'll get to see him jump in a hatch.
Or hell, just put him in the game. I'm sure there're people who want to play Killer against him.he's literally Dwight...
-
just buff small game to have that info
-
I just don't like how they made noed have the insta down for tiers 1 and 2 since now killers will rely even more on that perk rather than actually improving their gameplay
-
the only thing scary about exit gates is how fast they're opened
-
Maybe Susie from Suspiria (either from the upcoming remake or the original) and the main witch from the movie
-
I am also on PS4

Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley from Alien. Maybe the ability to swipe over pallets/windows with it's tail? That would be an interesting one since we dont have any sci-fi themed killers. I don't know how well it would fit in the game but I would love for at least Ellen Ripley to come to the game as a stand-alone survivor.

For a Survivor I'd honestly like to see Sally from the OG Texas Chainsaw Massacre as a Survivor.Killer wise.
Well that's a bit tough. The Candy Man would be a good fit.
I was honestly so disappointed when they didn't add Sally alongside Leatherface. For a slasher game, there is a lack of licensed final girls. The only one we have is Laurie but we also could've had Nancy regardless of whether it was the reboot version or not and of course Sally with Leatherface. Hopefully they eventually add her and the OG Nancy and also other iconic final girls.

I'm thinking that these new cosmetics will be released alongside the next chapter. The nurse, doc, Dwight, and claudette all have victorian style clothing, so I'm assuming that the next killer will be based around that style. Plus, Kate has a Winter outfit and we're still in the Fall season. Not to mention, we still haven't even seen the American flag shirt Kate and other previously shown cosmetics. We're almost at the mid chapter patch so we should see teasers for the next killer somewhat soon (if you call 3-4 weeks soon I guess).

Oh and @fcc2014 what system do you play dbd on!PS4 otherwise we could play together.
Oh I found you as killer lol

Maybe make it work against ruin but that might also be way too powerful
-
Maybe a new map + new cosmetics?
-
They could buff it so it doesn't send a notification in the middle of the air, reduce the timer tremendously, allow the pebbles to stack, make it so that you don't need to be in the killer radius, etc. I don't see why they wouldn't add these buffs in the first place
-
They should just make it so survivors have to find a gas can before doing a gen so it adds another objective to the game. You can't really complain about survivors doing gens since its literally their only objective in the game (other than unhooking survivors when necessary). They just need to add more objectives for survivors so they can't just push through gens quickly. Also gates need to be longer since they literally open as soon as you get there. They should also make it so the progress decreases when nobody is on it. The game is just so unbalanced regardless of the title of being asymmetric
-
I like unbreakable/ tenacity regardless of it being used in certain situations. Unbreakable since when killers slug they don't really expect it and I like running tenacity since some killers slug towards the end and I'm able to crawl quicker to the exit gates

Another idea I had about this mechanic is to have gens being worked on (as if one survivor is on it) till the last 3 or however remaining gens are complete. This would mean that if a gen needed 60 charges to get complete and another needed all 80 charges, then the max time would be 80 seconds (1 charge per second for a gen being worked on). This would reflect the gameplay of the survivors and determine whether or not the time would be short or not.
This is interesting. I suppose the idea could be justified by something like "the Entity is infusing the remaining generators with it's power" and the Survivor Aura / Time till Free Gates would be based on how close the survivors were to actually powering up the gates. If they were a long ways off - the time would be long. If they were really close - the time would be short. This mechanic would be fairly self-balancing because it would always be in the survivors best interest - even if the game is going badly for them - to keep working on generators so as to shorten the final Endgame sequence towards the lone survivor's favor. Many of the problems I brought up would be mitigated by this self-balancing mechanic.
I think it's a good idea worth considering!
Yeah I definitely agree with you. The gens would slowly get powered one by one, maybe as your dead teammates trying to help you in the afterlife??? But I feel after the last gen is popped, both the killers aura and survivors aura are revealed to each other like object of obsession. They could implement this idea alongside the hatch closing change, so if the hatch is closed, the gens would begin to be worked on.This change would just reflect a teams overall gameplay and would probably offer some use to the left behind perk if the hatch is closed.
-
I personally really think that the bloodwarden by default mechanic would be really cool. The only thing I would say about this idea is that it shouldn't show the survivor's aura when in the gate.
As for the endgame between the killer and the survivor, I also really like this mechanic. I do feel as though the time would be short so maybe they could make it 90 seconds instead of 60. The hatch for this time period should also get tweaked and maybe make it open 30 seconds after the 3rd survivor dies.
I just think the basement should be creepier and maybe they should add more to the bottom design wise. Also, maybe if there was a hole that leads to the basement that you can't escape from, that would be cool
-
They could just give Feng a hoodie thats down for her torso and have the bunny part for her head piece. I really want bunny Feng so hopefully its in this chapter
-
Same with Feng's skirts unfortunately

Don't forget about the survivors who deliberately run across the map just so you can't hook them on the BBQ hooks!
-
We just need a casual mode for this game. A mode with no perks or all perks but you get no bloodpoints and don't rank up so people won't try super hard and can actually enjoy the game.
-
Just curious. With your logic, you would still try extremely hard if only one person spawned in the lobby, right? Because that's fair?
-
I think some of you old players forget that you had the old we're going to live forever (200% more bloodpoints), old bloody party streamers (common instead of rare so you used to see them almost every match), and not to mention that you had dailys that although were kinda hard used to give you at least 60k bloodpoints. Currently, I think gaining bloodpoints is a bit balanced but I would like to get perks during those levels from 3-5 where you get no perks. If they made getting bloodpoints easier, many older players will feel outraged since they grinded for their p3 all perks on all characters, but at the same time I feel like they should make more blood point perks or bring back the old bloody party streamers so the grind isn't so hard.

I guess I'm not getting the point of the video. It looks like that survivor got out of the game with a pip and 2kK BP. When a killer DCs survivors leave with whatever points they've earned to that point...at least that's what happens when a killer DCs on me and, again, from the video it looks like he earned 25K and pipped.if you look at his actual blood points, you would see that he only has 3k not 25k bloodpoints. If the killer dcs the way where you go to options/settings and end your game, you get bloodpoints, but killers on console (PS4 at least) close their application which causes the survivor to lose their bloodpoints and offerings.

Honestly, even if a group brings a BNPx4, that is just crap. Let them have the exit and move on, it's not the players' fault the dev gave them broken items. Don't hate the player, hate the dev.Its not that the killer dcs, its the fact that the killer can dc without the survivors getting any points whatsoever
-
I just want Street Meg or at least the pants. I don't know why we can't get it since we got the Claudette's science fair jacket which makes no sense

The most of all maps this idea reminds me of Haddonfield with that long road in the middle and all these houses on both sides of it. I love that western mood and it would be nice to see Kate in new cowboy outfit, poorly Tapp won't get Sherrif of the Wild West outfit.Didn't really think of it like that but sounds amazing actually. A long dirt/ sand road in the middle of the map with like a parlor, houses, barns, etc on the sides with some you can go in and others you can't. Some houses can just be like a path so instead of going upstairs, you are only on the first floor so that way survivors won't have to go across the sides of houses
-
I like how they don't even tweet out about this problem regardless of whether or not this is Sony's fault or their fault
-
If this game wasn't so grindy, it would be a bit more fun. Survivor mains complain when they die since they lose points which is why some use decisive strike, sprint burst, self care, and adrenaline combo in order to try to survive longer. And killer mains want to get 4 kills every game so they use the BBQ and chili, ruin, nurses calling, and noed combo to try to get those kills. If the game was less grindy then people could try out new perks for fun instead of nasty combos to try to "win" and get the most bloodpoints out of each match.

I've only been playing dbd for a lil over a month, is this a common problem with these guys?If you're referring to the delayed DLCs for console only, then yes, it's a common problem with these guys

I just called, waited on hold for a new customer service rep for the PSN here in North America. She didn't see it in her system when I asked, but then asked me to hold while she did some more research. She put me on a 5 minute hold and went to talk to someone she said and came back to tell me that "the Curtain Call DLC in North America should be on the store at or around 8:pm EST TODAY.. Monday the 9th)That's what I have. Let's cross our fingers that information is correct!
That's literally the time the double bloodpoint event ends which sucks so bad
-
The blood point event was alright besides the fact that so many killers and survivors are trying so hard to "win." I didn't try to level people up but instead I got all the perks on two of the survivors. I was hoping to get Kate hours ago so I saved up my bloodpoints and waited only to never get her so now I don't know if I should spend all my bloodpoints or to wait.
-
The most annoying part is not being able to recognize when to save your blood points or when to spend them due to the lack of knowledge of what time the DLC will release
-
From what the tweet said, it seems as though the patch is ready to be released but they're waiting to release it alongside the DLC, so I'm assuming they're just waiting on the DLC to get in the shop

The devs proposed idea is to use the perk to combat nurse's calling but I would prefer running it with object of obsession. You can still use it with object of obsession. The only thing that's changed is now when everyone is dead, there's still some risk to you when you look towards the killer. You can be up to 60m away from the killer, and look at him without him seeing you. All this change does is add counter play to the combo. The killer can now move on the map to try and force you to reveal yourself to him. If you see him backing away from the remaining gens, you can then look away from him to prevent him from seeing you -- but then you run the risk of him approaching you and you not knowing, meaning it's a mind game. He can take a risk, stay out of range until you reveal yourself to him by glancing in his direction, which gives you more time to go gens, or he can back up, force you to look away, and then continue to search the gens for you. If he's a stealthy killer then that means he could find you and catch you off guard.
NOED used to be the killer version of this (except it was one perk instead of two). Once it's "win" condition activated, there was zero counterplay for survivors. All they could do was hope the killer made a mistake and they didn't get found before they could escape. Old SS and OoO worked exactly the same. No counterplay for a killer, they just have to hope that the survivor makes a mistake.
In the video, they said that it would go up to 20 meters (correct me if I am wrong). Also why should the build be able to be countered? It's extremely difficult to use the perk currently even once you get all tokens. Its a reward for the survivor to be able to use the perk as many killers tunnel and camp those with OoO. I know I said this before, but it would be a buff if sole survivor was 32 meters, 48 meters, and 64 meters as you would still be able to use it safely alongside OoO and there would not be any repercussions. I don't see why they would give the killers the extra 4 meters as hardly anyone uses this build or at least live long enough for it to work.
-
I agree that the "buff" towards sole survivor is more like a nerf. If they would change the meters of sole survivor to be 32 meters, 48 meters, and 64 meters, then it would be a lot better as it would be able to combat part of BBQ and chili and nurses calling, but it would work alongside object of obsession.
