Less spaghetti code and more optimization. I heard DbD mobile runs better than DbD on consoles lmao

Good thing it's not supposed to be anti-tunnel, it's anti-momentum.

So I was trying to edit my Nvidia filter settings because they were turned off. Then when I tried to change the settings, it told me Nvidia filter settings only work on supported games. Has the DBD team disabled Nvidia or is it just a problem I’m having?
I can still edit my filters just fine.

PTB matchmaking has no restrictions because not enough people play on it.

Sprint Burst pretty much just encourages being glued to generators because running around the map for totems and saves is pretty discouraged by the perk's mechanics. Staying stationary is just a super hard playstyle for me to get behind.
It just feels like you're missing out on a lot. Maybe with Vigil and Fixated I could see a build where you can run Sprint Burst optimally and move around a lot, but otherwise the playstyle just seems restricting
Run when your exhaustion is just about to come back and then you have Sprint Burst on demand.

Every time the issue comes up, SWF death squads whine that they won't be able to bully unskilled killers. All BHVR needs to do is show SWF and the rank of ALL players in the lobby, then give a BP bonus if the Killer/Survivors choose to play through the match against a SWF/players of significantly (3-4 ranks or more than one color, not sure) higher rank
That's a stupid straw-man argument, nobody unironically says that. If I'm playing with friends, I'd rather not get dodged a bunch of times under the false pretense that we're a 4 man death squad. That's all there is to it. Letting killers constantly dodge until they get their preferred matchup with low ranks not in a SWF is not the play to make this game better.

wow you are still arguing this? I countered each argument you had according to your ORIGINAL comment. You keep changing it every time to get me to "UNDERSTAND". I can not help it if you decide to say something that leads someone else to the conclusion that you didn't want. You said and I will quote "but one of their primary perks give you 2x bloodpoints so the average killer gets more than 2x bloodpoints that a survivor gets." you are talking about a single part of ONE PERK. this is what I replied to and you decided to change that to the fact that BBQ has a secondary aspect yet WGLF does not. which I even told you IF that is how you had said it I'd have agreed with you that WGLF should have something else other than just blood points. but you keep running on about anything and everything BUT the fact I answered your original complaint. with this I, myself, am DONE. Your arguments hold no weight and are countered by one comment after another.
i could and have shown where the sheer fact that your survivor add-ons have no visible effect in the game that survivors know more about a killer at all times than a killer ever knows about survivors. I don't give a damn you have to spend more blood points to keep your reserves high, why? because it's not even part of your argument and countered by almost 4 years of survivors keeping their add-ons when the killers have always lost theirs. I don't care, the killers have one way to hold on to their add-ons since the game began and that is to use a black ward. survivors before now could walk out the trial with the add-ons in their pockets and could use white wards to even protect them when they died. NOW you can use white wards (once this issue is FIXED) OR USE ACE IN THE HOLE a perk none the less! that now lets you keep your add-ons! when will the killers get a perk to keep their add-ons... oh wait that's a perk with a function that's secondary, much like your complaint about BBQ! wow.... what do you know, survivors STILL have one up on the killers in keeping their stuff! and killers have one up on survivors in knowing where you are... shall we go into perks like kindred and even dark sense? sure why not... dark sense allows any survivor to see where the killer is no matter where the killer is when ANY gen is complete (detection perk OP!) killer's version: bitter murmir where the killer can only see survivors within a certain distance to the gen completed (detection perk not even close to OP!).
GET used to loosing your add-ons and saving your blood points for the survivors you want, and stop spreading them amongst the other survivors... you don't need to P1,P2,or P3 anyone anymore anyways! I'm done here, I've proven your original point null and void, countered every time. your new points I am not even trying to counter because it's pointless to argue something when that something keeps changing.
Not gonna lie, I've been reading the whole thing and it's like @thesuicidefox is talking to a brick wall.

also, also, the ability to see what the other survivor perks are during loading ,where is that on the PC?
AND Why does it look so good, why does it look like it does on the phone yet on the PC is relatively so heavy to run, what potato opimization is going on there?
They were able to take an objective look at how DbD runs now and what makes it difficult to work on and then proceed to make it better. When they made the game originally, they had nothing to base it off of. It makes sense they'd implement it better the 2nd time around.
-
@Stinde said:
What would balance SWF without nerfing solo is that they can only take a certain perk for one survivor. This means only one could have DS or BT or DH ans others have to choose different perks. 4-man SWF would still have 16 perks but they would all be different perks. Since SWF have communication they could easily strategize who would do hook saves, gens etc. in certain situations to get most out of the perks.
The mistake you made was associating SWF with comms when they aren't always mutually inclusive.
What if the SWF doesn't have comms? They just get nerfed anyways?

If killer keeps being a terrible experience, consider trying Survivor out. Learning what you could do as a Killer from the Survivor's perspective is also pretty important and visa versa.

Just like how you play this casually, maybe they don't. Everyone has their own style. Personally I hate it too. If I work hard then I feel like I ought to be rewarded. DCing for hatch is pretty much a slap in the face, especially since most survivors like to tbag before hopping in.

No, no, no. When I play killer, I want to kill survivors. All 4 of them if possible. You will almost NEVER see a killer taking the game hostage. It just doesn't happen. Besides, survivors are the ones with more hostage taking power since they can just refuse to do gens and are not on a timer, so they hide indefinitely. Survivors can ALWAYS do gens or open exit gates instead of hide, so any game taken hostage is taken hostage by them, not the killer.
That's what he's talking about...
If there is no feasible way for me to escape or way for end game collapse to start, what stops me from crouching around the map for half an hour?

In my experience in facing against him, the only way to actually reveal him is if you center him on your screen. Essentially, imagine that theres a decently sized rectangle or square in the middle of your screen, as long as hes in that square you can reveal him. The best way to do it is just to center him on your screen though, or try to get as close as possible to that. As for the rest of what you said, I agree. I don't know anything about the spam reset though, how do they do that?
I have had literal staring contests with the ghost face and the game didn't even start to reveal him before making me exposed.

Then do we let people who use voice communication get a free pass?
Most people who don't use comms are teaming with other skilled players anyway. I doubt the penalty would affect them that much.
I'm not for punishing players who are doing nothing that warrants it. That's a flawed system.
Also, a majority of SWF that play this game are probably just talking to their friends about their day while playing DbD, not being ultra strategists. There's probably less than 1% that need this change, so we'd be affecting the other 99% of SWF. I'll pass.

How would imposing a repair and healing speed penalty on SWF teams kill the game?
Voice communication in a game like DbD is a huge advantage. It takes away much uncertainty and allows survivors to be even more efficient. Is it so unreasonable to ask these players to accept a penalty considering they get to use the power of voice communication?
It's unreasonable to assume everyone on SWF is even using voice communication.

Lol. Why would you get rid of a perk that's been there from the beginning. Nothing wrong with Self-Care. It's a good perk. I keep it on because I'd rather have an option to use it if I need it. But to be honest I normally run around injured a lot and wait for heals from teammates. But there's just too many situations where I'm like... If I had self-care this would be easy. Feel like I don't really need any other perk in the 4th slot. So why not?

Doesnt matter how you phase it from your high horse. The fact is Bhvr can do just as much about VPNs as they could about Voice Communication remains the same.
They can do more about VPNs, they just haven't taken the step to change their dedicated servers to be authoritative.

Not really a coincidence, Freddy is currently one of the best killers in the game, I would argue he is better than Billy
- Snares give him great chase potential
- Gen teleportation gives him MASSIVE map pressure
- Microsleep and waking up help stall the game to an extent
Overall he is really good, if a bit boring.
A bit is an understatement. He puts me to sleep in game and IRL.

Also i have over 3000 hours on killer nice try to paint me as a survivor main champ also you are acting like a newer player you are being stubborn and ignoring the clear issue at hand which is the fact this can and would be abused.
Also classic lets try to talk about grammar lmao shows you ran out of comebacks nice try champ you'll get them next year.

Still doesn't tell you how good the others perform against him, if they run bottled time or which perks to outplay him and whatever. There's a lot stuff influencing how a game goes. We can go on arguing, but pretty sure we will not agree on anything.
In my opinion, the best experiences are when things seem lost and you manage to turn around.
- Once had a face camping bubba, me being on the hook. Thought about giving up. People got last gen done, one with a medkit avoided chainsaw until he baited a hit. Others coming in to avoid the chainsaw and get bubba just 5m away from the hook. The medkit guy managed to get me unhooked, we both eat the chainsaw having endurance from a styptic and BT. all 4 escape
- Once had a spirit slugging the second last survivor, me looking to heal him. Noticed she is just kinda fake phasing, never leaving the slug. Ran around, found a key, found the hatch and "squared" the hatch and dropped my iten to show "got hatch and key", then pointed the slug to crawl close the hatch, but a bit away from it and the place where I was hiding. Spirit started the next phasing, I got him up, kinda luckily took the phasing hit, boosting in front of the other one and both escaping through hatch
My opinion is just, if you don't keep trying and give up, you will never have this kind of experiences, and these are the most thrilling scenes I can get from this game. Not the ez escape, the 5 gen loops 'destroying' the killer or the most average 2 escape games with just regular chases. 5 gen runs feel good too, regular mori games feel bad and boring, but I prefer the two points above over all.
It's novel the first couple times it happens to you. Eventually, it just becomes boring knowing you weren't out-skilled, you were just cheated out of playing the game. The sooner I can go into a more skill-based match, the better.
We're just going to have to agree to disagree here. You see it as a thrill while I just see it as an annoyance. Not much can really be done about that lol

Survivors have been allowed to get out of matches for four years. Maybe the game didn't go their way, they got hooked first so they give up. The killer they're facing is good, quit. Avoid him getting BBQ stacks, quit. QUIT QUIT QUIT. It's been going on for four years. And someone brings up the idea of the killer getting a surrender button and the first thing brought up is how survivors would feel? Four freaking years of quitting out of games and that was fine. Holy damn. Not that I agree with the idea. But that's just ridiculous. The millions of d/c's. You used to have multiple a match.
"How would Survivors feel" still applies to that situation. I can't imagine the other 3 survivors are happy when someone DCs on first down. Essentially seals the deal for the Killer. At least the game can still function though.
