Technically map offerings are anti-map offerings.

Technically, choosing to repair generators is still your own choice so...

Spoken like somebody who regularly fails to kill everybody before they finish all 5 gens and thinks people will believe him if he blatantly lies about it. I'm sure you occasionally do pull it off but there's absolutely no "making sure" about it, only the luck of the draw based how how skilled the survivors you got matched with are.
Or I'm good at playing the video game Dead by Daylight.

And? Being untouchable in the endgame still non skill based win... we are arguing if it is tunneling or not. What OP suggested it shouldn’t work in the endgame.
Tunneling in end game is also non skill based.

While I definitely feel the perk needs a rework, I don't think this is it. Honestly, I feel like reducing the activation time to 35/40/45 seconds and making it so it can't activate out of a locker would suffice. There's no doubt the perk is needed in the game: I've found I run into survivor matchers where killers that "camp" and immediately "tunnel" when someone gets unhooked much more frequently than I run into those teams/players that obnoxiously follow you around t-bagging, jumping in and out of lockers, and taunt because they know DS will save them.
In the situations where I play survivor and the killer is doing this, I've found a full minute or ability to jump into a locker isn't even necessary. More often than not, as soon as a survivor is unhooked they go down and are getting picked right back up (or within that rough 45 second time frame). A change of this nature I think is significant enough to curb the "toxic" way the perk is abused--often by swf groups, while also enabling effectiveness in most other situations.
That's not a rework, that's just a straight up nerf.

You obviously don't play killer. It's totally necessary to do.
Tunneling to me is when there are other options and you ignore them. At endgame, the only option is sometimes the recently unhooked injured person
I do play killer. I just make sure to kill them before they finish all 5 gens :)

Sorry I'll just slug them and watch them leave so DS doesn't activate. My bad
Eat the DS earlier or don't get into that situation. :)

I think OP is right, if someone gets unhooked next to a gate and you down them they will still crawl out...
Yeah yeah go for the unhooker. They get a sprint boost and they run out...
Back then when Legion’s deep wound condition was changed, the Dev said that a killer shouldn’t get an automatic kill. Well DS next to an exit gate is automatic win...
Tunneling in the end game is still tunneling. Sorry.

If you try to kill the recently unhooked survivor how are you not tunneling?
Pretty much this. Sometimes, the only option is to tunnel, however, that doesn't change the fact that it's still tunneling.

Well, if all survivors use the "increase fog" offering or the oak-offering, or even the coin-offering, do you think that has an effect on the game? I actually i do think so. Yes, they are not nearly as powerful as a mori by themself, but they do affect gameplay. As do map offerings, in a very strong way.
Also, the mori doesnt delete the killer objektive. One does nothing until 3 survivors are already gone, one basicly deletes 2 out of 12 hookstates (and one chase).
The ebony does much more, i agree. But actually, if a mori is used to kill one survivor early, in my opinion it doesnt matter if its an ivory or an ebony, because if the skill level is somewhat equal, the game became a 3v1 far to early and is basicly over. Dosnt matter then if the survivors are hooked or killed, because they will lose anyway.
Now, i think a sabotage squad with 4 times the rare oak offering might make the killers live also misserable.
so either you want all except xp offerings gone, or you do accept they have an influence on the game. Some more, some less.
For me, it is actually important how often that happens. And i dont have too many games where a mori is involved (and actually does something). I had games where all 4 escaped and you see in the end screen the killer had an ebony mori. happens.
I would suggest to stop worring about moris and worry more about matchmaking. Because i firmly believe, thats the root of all evil. A lot of killers use moris, camping and tunneling to keep up because they often find themself in games they shouldnt belong in, against opponents why above their skill level. At least thats my experience.
I don't know why both can't be addressed.

Old BNP was completely broken. You got an ez gen with 0 effort. They were hard nerfed for a reason.
Downing (and after the needed nerf hooking) someone, especially with weak M1 Killers, requires at least interaction from both sides.
When I play Killer, using an ebony feels like it takes less skill than old BNP. At least I had to hit skillchecks then instead of immediately tunneling off of first hook.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/145872/why-should-moris-even-affect-the-game
Yeah, you're missing the fact that the only reason all this ######### is popping up again is due to gen speed/games going by too fast. If a game ends in the time it takes to finish 3 chases, its too god damn fast...
So what have killers been doing in response? Carrying more Mori's. Carrying more NoED <----######### I've even been throwing it into a few builds and I haven't ran NoED in...like....over a year? And I'm a pig main, I shouldn't have to prep for short games at all.... But every time I go into a match with my kit its loaded up with slow down perks.
I didn't miss that. An offering shouldn't be a balance breaker in the game. Similar to ruin, they need to get rid of Mori's stomping ability to address game time more fairly.
-

I actually agree with this 100%. Despite how many rules they break, moris are an essential part of dbd and making them follow the rules of other offerings would ruin their personality. It's nice for killers to have an easy mode where they and the survivors both understand that it is now a very dangerous game which makes the game less stressful for killer and victory more satisfying as survivor. I like to think of it as the killer activating an alternate game mode.
If the killer is gonna have his objective cut down, do the same for Survivor. Make them have to do less gens lmao

The game would be unplayable if they catered to everyone like that.
People DC for being found first and downed... should those guys get a free Borrowed Time effect if they’re the first to be chased? Maybe make it so the poor baby can’t get hooked within the first 2 minutes of the match?
If people want to DC, they will DC. If they can't DC, they just suicide on hook. The only realistic solution you can implement is improving the game so people don't want to do that.

Fix the problems that make people want to DC and accept that some babies will DC regardless.

And how many times has this “scenario” happened? Probably just that ONE time. If they’re taking the game hostage, REPORT THEM and move on. DCing needs to exist because your scenario will probably happen 1 out of 1000 games, while people DCing for stupid reasons can happen every other game.
There are plenty of reasons to DC in a game that isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I'm sorry you can't see that.

Why would they complain less about the meta perks if there was an instsheal perk added to the mix? I think meta perks would be hated even more.
Because one of the meta perks has to be replaced by for the people. Adds variation.

For the People could be kind of like Second Wind. Once you use the perk, you're broken for 30 seconds and then healed. I think that would make the perk infinitely more useful. Because it'd be more reward for the risk, right now its mostly risk. Of course with these changes it would only be usable once or twice per trial not infinitely like it is now.
I like this idea, it def. needs something because right now it's one of the most underwhelming perks I've seen in a while. You could get more usage out of wake up lmao

Some totem spots are hidden insanely well (mostly on indoor maps). Leaving the totems up gives you the chance to have NoED spawn on the totems you were able to find, instead of them spawning where you couldn't. Why is this a controversial opinion guys?

If a killer wants to farm, odds are you won’t be the only survivor alive. This is a rather extreme scenario, and you can always get hatch if you are or at least force EGC.
The situation I am laying out is I try to gen rush to leave the match but the Killer (and survivors) keep me on the ground to prevent me from doing that.

Whenever I get players from across globe away even when searching for the match takes just a few seconds makes me wonder how does MM even work. What is the most important variable in searching for a match ? It certainly can't be rank since that is all over the place more then it should be in most matches.

It's annoying, but it's not the end of the world. At that point you're just wasting more time for less benefit to wait on a lobby, DC from the game, wait on the penalty, then wait for another lobby.
The point is there shouldn't be a penalty for this very reason. They didn't fix the actual important reasons to allow DCing before disallowing it.

Then die on first hook and get it over with. It's a lot faster than waiting on the penalty timer. XD
The point is I shouldn't even have to do this. What if he just slugs me and never hooks me? I just get stuck in this hellhole and get punished for leaving it.
What if a Killer wants to farm and doesn't let me do gens to leave? These oversights aren't acceptable.

I know im not only one that believes it take WAY TO LONG to wiggle out of a killers grasp. By the time im actually able to wiggle out, the killer is pretty much able to walk past 2-3 different hooks, all of which he can put you on. Wiggling out takes 15-20 seconds give or take, and the i strongly believe that both the distance between hooks, and the amount of hooks on every map doesn't justify how long it takes to wiggle out. Its completely unfair and pretty much defeats the purpose of the wiggle out mechanic

Care to elaborate. Why is it rainbow color matches instead of ranked with rank or around? I’m serious because I don’t know what others have to do. I know some times I get people that do dumb things in game but I want to know about the ranks and matching it up
My reply extends to both the players and the devs for allowing the matchmaking to get to where it is now.
Even when matchmaking works correctly, there's a 90% chance your teammates are still bad and are just boosted.

I play killer/survivor and I can’t blame killers for hating DS
It may have been their intention, but it's not. Nothing could really be anti-tunnel aside from just making you unable to die lmao.
I generally don't ever see DS as an issue when I play killer. Usually slugging does the trick or just not tunneling.

Not unbeatable, but they have the advantage of cordination. If they play well they would be more usefull than a couple of solos. But if they suck, that’s the same as having bad solo teammates.
So do SWF who don't use comms just get punished now for free?
