Any killer that camp will basically lose the game and the pressure on gens. No killer equal no pressure. Easier to get gens done too without someone going after you. Run camaraderie and borrow time maybe that should help against camping.
camaraderie meta here we come

Either the effects need to be negligible at best or Survivors are gonna need some spicy buffs. Neat idea though.
-
Unfortunately, it's pretty much like this everywhere. I wouldn't pay attention to ranks though, most people are not at the rank they belong in right now.
-
Would there be anything wrong with slowing hook progress down if no Survivors are in the (idk, 46 meter?) vicinity of the hooked player and the Killer is still camping?

No survivor objective is to escape. I guess you never read the introduction to the game. Let me provide DBD version of the game which explicitly states 'as a survivor, your goal is to escape'. I don't think I can make that any clearer.

Do you ever play killer? Killer gets do and regularly get punished on multiple instances for kills. For instance, I can comfortably get a 4k and get a black pip. I can hook everyone, kill one even two and receive a entity displeased etc etc. Play killer for a while, you might learn something.
Good thing the Killer is supposed to make the Survivors feel prolonged despair in the match, not just instantly kill them. The Entity feeds on the fear and they work for the Entity. Working as intended.

If survivors are so powerful they can dance and gloat escaping with ease... maybe they need nerfs and killers need buffs.
Considering how butt dancing takes literally no time at all to perform, this makes no sense.

You can say whatever you want. It's clear most people view the action as teabagging. I described teabagging. No more, no less. Everything else is senseless justification.
If you do not view repeatedly crouching as teabagging, then good for you. Know that when you do it most people will think that is what you are doing. They will believe that is who you are.
If I repeatedly crouch in game at certain times, I don't intend it to be teabagging. I know others will interpret it that way. Therefore I choose not to do it. Just as if I hook someone and then hit them I do not intend for it to be an insult, but I know others will take it that way. Both actions are unnecessary and have nothing to do with winning the match, so it's no problem for me to choose not to do them.
As I'm fond of saying, you cannot control other people, but you can control yourself. Or not. The choice is yours.
As for me, I have no problem with truth and the truth teabagging an unwilling participant in real life is sexual assault and those who simulate teabagging in a video game are simulating sexual assault. It's as simple as that.
You don't have to like the truth, but that doesn't make it any less true.
How long is your arm span because you are really REAAAACHING for this one mate.

Sorry, who are you again?

Did you forget when DBD was updated to be really really bright?
All I know is darkness.

Legend says that after every update DbD makes, the game gets 10% darker.

Wow. Imagine actually caring is someone crouches in front of you.
Some of you guys wouldn't last a day in Halo 2 circa 2005.
Not only that, but t-bagging in DbD isn't even nearly as insulting as in literally any shooter ever.
T-bagging on somebody's dead corpse while they're forced to watch before respawning is way worse lmao

I dunno man you should play survivor a bit more, even a group of solos can hold m1 on a gen and end the match in 3 minutes. Waste of que time and addons for everyone with matches that short, it's not fun for anyone.

Maybe you could read the post right above you made by, you guessed me ;)
I don't want a "nerf" to t-bag but I'm completely favored towards a better community experience and seeing t-bags, clicky clickys, mori spammers (although that one is being addressed already) or anything like that doesn't contributes to the hope for that better community.
I didn't say that was about you, that was a more general statement.
Clicky clacks and t-bags don't prevent the Killer from being able to play the game like Mori spam does for Survivors, so I see why that was addressed.
However, taunting is very common in video games. Psyching out your opponent is an actual strategy and that applies to both sides. I don't want to see it leave the game either, because it's actually quite entertaining and adds flair to the situation. If we wanted completely respectful game play we could go play chess or something.
-
Buff both of them tbh.

Actually I think this thread proves the opposite, basically everyone here is being completely insensitive to OP and showing that the only Empathy this game has is the Claudette perk. Tea bagging is essentially toxic, although it can be disregarded as such by the ones who do it. It's the same idea behind mori spams and bleedout slugging, getting into people's minds to tilt them to frustrate them, but because it's at a lesser tone doesn't show the full effect right away.
That's how the real world works. People don't have time to accommodate for you in absurd circumstances. If t-bagging REALLY sets you off, you should probably go to a therapist. It will do more for you than hoping BHVR implements a t-bag nerf or something stupid like that.
-

Seek a therapist, not a t-bagging nerf.

How many more rewards do you want for failing to kill the Survivors? You lost, on to the next one.

I will teabag until the end of time.
Might be able to teach some people about self-control if they commit to me the whole game and lose :)

If you blind them during the pickup animation it won't drop the survivor, they need to be blinded while they have control of their character. You can time it so the blind kicks in right as this happens to get what is essentially a save the moment they CAN move.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1233070#Comment_1233070
Because flashlight saves would be way to easy if you could blind at any point in time, especially when the killer has 0 control over their charter. Hell if it allowed you to flashlight save at any time then the meta would be to simply stand in the open if you knew you were going to go down because you would be flashlight saved 100% if someone was nearby or forced to be slugged if the killer knew.
Pallets work the same way.
I don't know why flashlight saves have to be hard though. I hit them regardless so it isn't really relevant towards me, but it really should just be a thing about positioning.
How would dying in the open become any different from how it is now?

not in this map, trust me
I've been there and done that. You're better off using Freddy with pop if you actually want to create boring forever games AND not be a sub-par killer.
-
Title was accurate when you said Legion.
However, if a competent group of Survivors spread out on gens, you're done for.

@csandman1977 said:
When getting the killer blind score event while the killer is carrying a survivor, shouldn't the killer drop the survivor? Or does that only happen during the small pickup window?
You have to time it so the blind happens right as they regain movement. Why? No idea.

Information perks are never seen in meta while chase and second chance perks exist. Spine Chill counters (or just helps majorly against) all stealth/stalk killers and some more like the Spirit. I believe it is fine since the way it works is very vague and can be somewhat prevented by killers who realize you have this perk.
So its just a strong perk, we got even stronger ones too and everyone uses these so the game is being balanced(!) around them. Why nerf them when they can instead make more perks stronger and competitive with these?
I kinda like using it as both an information perk and an accomplice to the vault speed build.

youre talking the extreme, not many killers have insta downs that doesnt take time to activate or build up. sure iri huntress is a pain im not saying that but when you look at spirit she doesnt have an insta down, yes shes a strong killer but she is slow unless using her power, she can be looped and tricked. of course i look at the constant/average or it would be stupid, looking at the extreme doesnt balance the game or perks as they arent common games. maybe the issue isnt the perks but the actual survivors, pop and noed have been in the game unchanged for years and never been complained about... im guessing people are either new or ranking up too fast beyond their skill level, thats not being mean but i see red rank survivors that struggle leading chases and are scared of doing gens or just missing skill checks. but all of that doesnt make the killer or its perks OP it just means that survivor has stuff to learn. red ranks awhile back had a non nerfed spirit with ruin, pop etc. and could escape... too often people think they should be escaping every match or be able to lead on a chase for 2 odd mins, i showed how pop wasnt op through simple maths, someone above stated 5 totems 10seconds each with 4 survivors... theres plenty of time and ability to play around the perks or beat them. games arent meant to be over within 3mins and thats why defensive perks exist.
Wasn't this thread ABOUT the killers that have insta downs that don't need any build up or those that do well without them?
-
I'd rather not lower the pool of (somewhat) meta perks Survivors have, it's already small as is.

yeah youre right, 1 person doing the objective for 15seconds while someone is getting chased is too hard. i mean its not on survivors to do their objectives or be better at running the killer around it must be the killer perks too OP. my bad.
You are comparing perks on something that is consistent (Some survivors can't just decide to teleport or run across the map with a 1 shot) vs perks on Killers with unique powers.
-
@Stitch7833 said:
but let me guess DS,BT,DH etc. is okay on really good survivors? pop is fine and so is noed, i dunno why there are so many noed posts i hardly ever see the perk used let alone worry about it, totems are easy points, if you have inner strength easy heals and pop the killer needs to get a down, pop does 25% progress, full gen is 80seconds so pop can remove 20seconds.. so using math the survivor needs to lead on a chase for 15seconds then get picked up and carried to a hook while 1 person does a gen. thats 1 person btw there are 2 others on the map on other possible gens, not to mention the killer then has to walk to the gen to even kick it so all it does is slow the game down slightly unless your team isnt doing gens... or you can do gens together and fast so he cant even use pop
Somebody did not use their critical thinking skills before posting a reply.
-
Both can be true, just depends on who the other 3 survivors are.
-
On a serious note, corn could no longer just be a dead zone for Survivors if you want to take away its only redeeming quality. Would have to give it something (especially since map size is shrinking next update).

Hrm. Not sure if I agree with you. With that building being there as well. I'm pretty sure I could loop a killer around that for 4 gens at least. And I don't even think I'm good.
There's only T and L walls practically throughout the rest of the map. Once that pallet zone is gone, the Survivors won't really have anything.

"Yeah I eat paint, why?"
It's not a problem for me when I'm Killer so something must be wrong if we're not both feeling the DS burn. Figure it out.

And I would agree with you, if certain survivors and teams wouldn’t abuse it. Or the ‘tunneled’ survivor close to the exit gate wouldn’t use it for T-bagging. I believe majority of the killer community has a problem with this perk cause it used for the wrong purpose. Honestly I barely get DS-d cause I don’t tunnel, but in certain situation this is a very annoying perk.
People just need to get a thicker skin. Pixels moving up and down a few times isn't grounds for a nerf because you made a mistake and it made you mad.

you know what, you are right that survivor deserves the win...
At the end of the day, both sides have an unskillful interaction. However, I don't want to just keep adding specific stipulations on perks just to take care of those specific scenarios and make the perk description like 20 lines long. It should be pretty simply and straight forward: this perk works for 60 seconds. The end.
