Once you learnt the layouts, you can cut survivors off as killer. Some of the structures and hallways can honestly lead into some engaging mindgames. That's really the only thing map has for except it's crazy quality in graphics.
It's just too claustrophobic. I've only entered the library twice ever. Some parts of it are just worthless. I see where the devs were going on certain areas but all in all it does need a rework.

If it's going to be 100% it shouldn't be a hex, nor should it deactivate. In it's PTB state, I'd argue it's literally the WORST killer perk in the game.
Even worse than Hoarder?

I just wanna say that I commend you for trying to befriend that Wraith. That took selflessness.

srsly disappointed with almost everything youve guys done lately...
you guys gutted soloQ, made the grind even worse even though you advertised that it would be less by 75%...
& now we get the god awful P3 rewards.
just let the CAPGODS bless DBD since you guys cant do anything right.
no wonder why you announced Project W, to simply keep players excited since you have nothing else to offer..
Yeah they should just release it now! I want to see Wesker with only 40 polygons and extremely buggy power!

This post is old so earlier posts may have aged. Here's my input:
Playing killer is way too stressful. On one hand I get that a role during a 1v4 is guaranteed to be stressful if you're the villain. That's perfectly fine. I just think the intensity is too much. The upcoming meta shift changes seem to help this tremendously according to a few killer mains feedback. The lore of Dbd states how killers are an unstoppable force and that somehow got lost during the 6 years of this game.
To play killer, you gotta practice mindfulness and use mantras as reminders to keep your sportsmanship in check. I don't see this a lot in survivor mains. A lot of players on the Dbd subreddit joke about how nerve-wracking it is when youre on the ready up screen as killer.
Something about all of that just doesnt seem right. Make killer feel more threatening and less intense to play as.

The grind is a part of the money-making strategy that modern online multiplayers use. It keeps players playing. Having the grind behind paywalls earns them more money in the end. BHVR cannot drastically reduce the grind in a straight-forward sense because their board of directors probably wouldnt allow it.

Add Nemmy into that question as well!
Nemesis tears through pallets at tier 2. He's fine in that regard. His add on's need to be looked at.

Why not have the icon be a splatter of blood instead of shiny glitter?

@AnchorTea People willingly handicupping themselves by playing ranged killers on consoles are none of my business. What's next, Billy is m1 killer cause windows exist?
I play on console because A. Cross progession isnt here yet (or ever will be here) and B. I cannot afford a pc

Brutal post.

Im not a game designer so I cant say if this will be balanced but the idea of wanted posters is so fitting that I want it now.

At least two: killer shack, and on the porch of the house. I haven't even had time to explore the whole map yet, but those two are god pallets off the top of my head.
wow two strong pallets really broken ya'll
With the exception of those two, the map is full of average loops, but they're chained together. Its a heck of a better approach compared to Crotus Prenn.
-
You shouldnt need a perk slot to help deaf people play the game. Their should be a feature that visually shows if youre in the killers terror radius. Dbd mobile already did this. Maybe the same thing can be applied but just not as corny as a beating heart inside the player lol
-
Is it really that bad? I cannot recall any god pallets on that map. In fact the map is pretty small which is what people have been asking for

Humble. Humble is how I'd put it. From the character design to the map aesthetics to the gameplay.
Modern DBD does feel pretty corporate and I joined late 2020.
The grind, the skin prices, and rifts all feel meticulously crafted around keeping players interested. In a way a business is a business and the gaol is to make money so I wont quit dbd over this. I can see through their masks though on why some stuff is made a way so that their model doesn't fail i.e. the "reduced" grind.
-
Control the camera and place it anywhere while spectating custom matches.
-
None of these. The game should have more communication such as basekit kindred/HUD indicators and balance around that.

I always found her a bit overhyped. Her powers are not really impressive to me. One thing I always believed is that Lady D was the most bland villain in that game but had the best looking and playing section.
Honestly you're right. Appearance-wise she's unique and creative. But power is a little lacking.
-
I'm still holding out on Lady D someday. The hype for her may have died down though.

I play both killer and survivor, the amount of time it takes to wiggle out is definitely reasonable. It allows the killer to have some choice where a survivor is hooked and I don't think the killer should have to worry about a survivor wiggling out after they caught them. A survivor has 2 hook states, so essentially making it easier to wiggle out wouldn't make much sense from a balance stand point.
You also have to remember that once someone is sacrificed, the hook disappears. If you make it so a killer can't reach another hook if you run to the destroyed hook, you'll get many killers who will just slug to death and have you bleed out. Not fun.
Ah, game design

What even is this question? To think that devs actually take such opinion into account is both scary and also explains a lot!
Well playing Trickster on console is much more difficult than PC. The difference is like night and day. I've seen enough comments from players saying he's a "trash m1 killer" makes me wonder if how difficult he is to play convinces people this.
Console aiming is so trash that it'd make sense why players would rather choose to m1, down, and camp using knives.

Next patch: survivors lost the A button.
-
Already been tested. Has overall negative feedback.

@jesterkind said:
How could it be used for distance if it no longer lunges? I'm not sure I follow.
If the survivor is close enough to run to a pallet, they wouldn't be using DH for distance anyway, they'd be running to the pallet normally and then presumably greeding it for a bit.
I think what OP is saying is that if they use DH last moment to bait out a hit then there's a speed boost.
Either way, its a high risk high reward parry move. The distance part should be gone for good.
-
He never said Off the Record would be broken. How would it be broken? How does 80 potential seconds of NOT doing the objective sound broken?
-
Have not seen a trusted thread in a looooong time.

Otz has been wrong before
I agree dead hard in theory will at the very least still be very strong but let's actually see how it plays out first.
There is still a animation during the dead hard and if it is like the current one then they can't throw pallets or vault while the animation is playing
That means it should be possible to hit them if you time it right
I would definitely not blindly trust Otz word above others. He knows just as little as the rest of us for now.
Great guy and all. But not omniscient
Distance is gone so no more extended chases out of your control. Now that's left is a high risk high reward prediction. I think we have to see it in action before we judge.

The reduction is fitted more for if you play a various number of characters rather than just one.
