Gen speeds are the bone of the game. So much stuff was built around them. It would be insanely difficult to change gens speeds that would satsify everyone and make sure it doesnt break something.
Maps changing or a new slowdown mechanic could be introduced to combat this.

If I say it, it is official.
I have confirmed we're looking at sending out the rewards early next week to those who met the requirements.
Are you officially a baddie that serves and protects the forums stylishly?

You cannot compare the Pig camping a box to Bubba camping a hook.
The issue with Piggy was that she could use an addon, then AFK in front of a box - do nothing at all, and still get a kill. Bubba at least has to chase and hook survivors.
AFK Pig was way more situational than face camping Bubba though.
-
Managing self-under the coordination of SWFs has to give it some special edge. People aren't talking about that.

Why is this a surprise?
I've heard overwhelming praise for this killer from players who understand how this game works.
Maybe Dredge isn't your cup of tea.

He just feels boring as ######### to play as. I hate it. I cannot stand playing it and I would rather cause myself to be violently sick playing Blight with a lower than normal FOV than playing Dredge because, like Artist, he makes me fall asleep at the wheel.
Killer diversity keeps this game alive. Killers being fun to play for all different people keeps this game alive. Making every killer exactly like the previous one makes the game incredibly stale and if they were all designed exactly like Dredge I would have quit within a year because there is no way in hell you are ever forcing me to play this boring abomination.
Yes, if everyone was like Dredge it would be an awful thing. You forget you are talking to the Pyramid Head main of these forums, a killer famous for having less than 0 map mobility.
Considering Otz and Scott Jund love playing as him I am shocked that this is how you feel about him.

I have to assume it was intentional (like how you see Tricksters knives in the lockers regardless of who you are playing as) but I suppose only BHVR knows for sure and will act accordingly if it's an oopsy
But if I were a gambling man, I'd wager this was on purpose in anticipation for their shiny new abomination
Trickster's knives are purely cosmetic. Locker's are interactable, have collision, and special qualities depending who or what you play as. I'm just saying that this could be a bit of a game-changer.
-
You know BHVR we really didnt like the NFT stuff but this is TOO FAR πππππππππππππ
-
1. Hit any survivors that is under hook
2. You now have no collision and can phase through survivors
3. Stand in the exact spot which you can get the prompt to hook
4. Balance your movement very careful to stay in that exact spot as still as possible
5. Boom, you hooked a survivor and one of them lost a health state. If there's multiple survivors then they essentially wasted time by not doing gens.

@tippy2k2 said:
There are definitely more lockers added (saw two on the bottom floor of The Game that are brand new)
Presumably this is for The Dredge to teleport himself around a bit more and having smaller Teleporting Dead Zones
The thing though is that this was a universal addition. Meaning if you play Pig/Nurse-whomever those extra lockers are added.
Its a big upgrade for ranged killers and locker-related perks. I'm just wondering if this was intentional or a bug.

Something happened that I don't think I can discuss to one member, most others resigned in protest. Boosted_Dwight then left DBD and thus the Forums, Boss left alongside Orion with the NFT debacle and has only returned very sparingly once, and TwistedMonkey and FireHazard appear once a blue moon.
That's unfortunate.
Anyway, flan!

Trickster is one of the weakest killers in the game already. He hardly needs nerfs.
Its more appropriate to say that he's a very black and white killer. He either has a huge upper hand or he struggles A LOT.

With one on the hook and three people free to do gens you can finish three gens in about the time it takes for that person to die and be started on the fourth. Bubba's not invincible he still has to catch someone and is weak to all the usual survivor strats, but you can't make a mistake. One person needs to keep him constantly in chase so the other two can power through the remain gens.
It isn't a great solution, but it is the most optimal solution for the situation. You also have to accept that in the end you might die while your teammates escape, but that is ok as well.
I can accept that in order to play optimally you cant make mistakes. I agree to that. The issue is that making that 2 or even 1 (this is Bubba we're talking about) error in playstyle should not grant a major punish of a kill. You can say that there's 3 people = 3 gens but dont even get me started on how awful hook saves against face campers are in solo q. It's just bad game design that Bubba is guaranteed at least 1k-2k through his face camp strat. It could even be higher than that if survivors aren't careful.
-
Could work. We have a cowboy killer.
-
And what if there's one gen or no gen left? Do we just let that survivor die on hook?
FYI if there's 5-4 gens left then the hook timer will eventually expire and it'll lead enough time for Bubba to find another survivor and facecamp them.

Because survivors can and will abuse that
Then what's the counterplay to a face-camping Bubba besides the killer making a mistake?

The UI update- that is, the second one, the one that we have now. I was a little put off at first, but now I definitely like it more than the old one.
I wasnt playing when the "mobile game" UI was a thing. I thought it looked neat but something about it just didnt feel natural at all. Happy with what we have now

Dbd can be exhausting sometimes. Doesn't mean its not fun.

I wish they'd stop making female characters have stories of physical torture.

Trickster is a flashy murderous kpop star that looks hot so of course lot of people try to play him.
Unfortunately Trickster has a very high skill floor so most play cheap and proxy/face camp and it works well for Trickster.
Those kinds of Tricksters ruin the fun for survivors. A part of me wishes BHVR would find a way to make camping not so effective for him.
-
If the main devs today went back in time to told 2016 BHVR to not release something, it'd be Nurse.
Nurse may have a huge skill floor, but she quite honestly still breaks the game to this day.

Seriously. I initially heard that it was to help with matchmaking and to make the game more enjoyable? However I don't think that's the case because there's only like 1 question about match enjoyment and nothing really asking about reasoning behind that. So what is the reason behind the survey and what is the devs trying to accomplish by posting the survey and getting this specific information?
Well they had a survey and it resulted in Hooked on You and AoT x Dbd so it could have a significant impact.
-
Lets convince all these companies that Dbd isnt a horror game but its actually about peace and love and have everyone hug it all out π

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading your suggestions and feedback with a more optimistic approach
Its just that people in this thread are saying "camp lol" like wow people really dont understand how to play him optimally
-
This thread is so pessimistic and inaccurate that it actually hurts.
Trickster is very hard to master. At a higher mmr, it becomes less about running in a straight line and more about using loop mindgames to land hits with knives. The best part about this is that with knives Trickster will eventually down survivors quicker than having to succumb to delays thanks to pallets. That is one huge advantage Trickster has over other killers.
The downside is that, again, Trickster is *very* hard to master. He's flashy and stylish so of course he's played a lot but since he has a high skill floor you get a lot of layers playing messily.
I recommend watching these three clips to get an idea of what Im talking about:
Through the Jungle Gym! - I'm sorry for the lack of videos! I'm omw back to posting daily soon :) #deadbydaylight #dbdclips #dbdtrickster #fyp #xyzbcaI really like this new version of the Jungle gym on Garden of Joy #deadbydaylight #dbdclips #dbdtrickster #fyp #xyzbca #intothefogHappy Birthday to Trickster & All-kill :) Here are some highlights from the past year! #deadbydaylight #dbdclips #dbdtrickster #fyp #xyzbcaThis streamer has got to be one of the best Trickster's. As you can see, he got creative with throwing knives to land those 6 hits. To add, he would even take advantage of tiny holes in loops to secure them. It takes practice but with patience and creativity you'll get there in no time!
And to those who are saying he's a bad killer, refer to Otz' tier list. He's not that bad.
