Just remove Trapper being affected by his own traps. Any serial killer movie the killer can run across their own traps and the folks chasing to kill them always get trapped. If trapper gets caught on his own traps he gives the paths that can be ran away thus should start with all traps or all traps auto hurt anyone who disarms them that does not have tool box or Sabo perk. Trap add ons that would place a survivor into dying only injures survivors with Sabo and toolbox. Then it's fair. Slippery meat has always been weak and this would encourage survivors to run Sabo or use tool boxes in traps instead of gens pushing a different fun game play that lasts longer for all.
Yes there are some very good players who play trapper insane, the game should not be balanced around those pro players. If all games were balanced around the top 10 players no one would play them, idk why this game balances around red ranks only but it's wild.
Nah. In several movies the killer gets hit by their trap at some point (usually near the end when they are being/about to be defeated)

The new patch will almost certainly release on the 3rd of December, at 11am ET.
I say "almost certainly" because as far as I'm aware there has been no official confirmation of the release date yet, but based off past patterns the above is a pretty safe assumption to make.
There was confirmation for december 3rd.
So unless it gets delayed, we get it 2 days from now

I didn't consider them... but that would be quite devastating.

You can feel forced, but no one is forcing you. And at no point it's required for you to camp or tunnel to complete any challenge.

I don't think he means like that. I'm a guy who doesnt like to camp or tunnel but the grind for certain challenges has required me to.
Killing the obsession is the best example of this. I brought a mori and made sure to kill the obsession first. Then after hooking someone I needed to hope they had ds and when they were unhooked down them and get hit by ds. Rinse and repeat for a few games.
I know I could just play all 7 games but I always like getting challenges done as quick as possible so I felt forced to play in such a negative way.

Thanks u guys I was just wondering because yes this is a massive grind and I feel so dirty playing this way as killer constantly.
Efficiently?
-
Have not encountered that.
-
-
Probably.
Never saw a list of that anywhere, but someone probably did think about it.
-
Equip bloodwarden. Down someone, open the gate yourself, hook them.
Now you have 1 minute to find and down 1 guy

Should have booped the snoot.

If the traps didn't move after getting the survivors... sure

The thread is talking about the sale on the outfits... I am referring to the fact that people are disappointed you can only get the whole outfit on sale, not just one item of it. The items alone are not on sale, only with its outfit. What if I don't want the whole outfit, why can't each individual piece be on sale?
That's what I mean... .-. If it still makes no sense, idk how else to explain it.
And do you think they have to put individual pieces on sale? They don't. They don't even need to put the full outfits on sale.
This is the mentality that makes people go "you give an inch they take a mile"

What if I hate the outfit and only wanted one piece of it? Sure, I'd get extra cosmetics with the discount... cosmetics I don't even want. I'm not going to get the other pieces individually because I never wanted nor will I ever want them.
Then only get the one piece you want...

Time challenges? You mean tome right?
There's not much to say besides get better at trapper. Learn how to herd people and the good spots for traps. And how much time you should invest in setting up vs chasing survivors

I find it easier to win as a killer. Killer the outcome of the match is 100% in your hands, survivor not so much.
Survivor is less stressful in theory, but in reality.....the best way to carry a solo Q team as survivor is to run the killer yourself the entire game. If you play stealthy you are relying on your teammates to do the looping, which takes the result of the game out of your hands, really (unless you have a key for the hatch).
If you are the one doing the majority of the looping you can ensure the pallets are being used efficiently, instead of being thrown willy nilly by your team.
There are so many games where my team is getting demolished when I have been avoiding aggro, and then the killer gets into a 2-3 gen chase with me and it wins the game. Or there are games where my team is all already dead and I get into some ridiculously long chase that doesn't matter anymore, thinking to myself that the game would have been won if I just took aggro from the start. That's why I think solo q survivor is harder to consistently win with.
"Survivor is less stressful in theory, but in reality...."
But in reality it is less stressful because survivors have a lot of down time to cool of, while killer is always doing something
-
The rift or the tome?
Because for the rift, I would change it to fragment every 400 exp instead of 800.
Tome, I would change some of the challenges. Like the egc ones. It's just very unreliable.

You can check my profile, I don't post these kind of threads every week.
And I don't remember you showing me those and don't know why you think your personal experience should prove anything

Supposedly it increases the rarity of stuff but honestly it's like 5% or something like that, it changes nothing really; given the amount you give up for it is far more than that 5% would ever get you.
Unless you REALLY want a prestige skin for someone you really enjoy, there is not really any point in doing so. It's just to give you something more to do when you have nothing else otherwise to do.
Yeah, see... that's exactly the issue. "Supposedly".
There's too many suppositions about it. I need a yes or no from someone who actually knows it.
Because as little as 5%, or whatever it might be, sound, it WILL inevitably pay for itself in the long run
-
Over 40 days left. Average 1 level everyday and you should be fine.
-
The game is not lost at that point.
But you don't need to leave if you don't want to.
-
Pretty sure oni comes out before part 4. You don't need to pick the last one on the center

But you can go around it. Can you not?

"You can ignore them and play normally."
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/931/OP3Y1W6URDAV.png
Have you seen the amount of Trappers in the lobbies recently? The amount of survivors who suicide dives onto hooks? Do everything that isn't normally in a "normal game"?
Even if you ignore them, other people won't. And you won't have a normal experience because everyone else is doing the challenges while you don't.
What about the amount of trappers?
Not more than what I see normally.
I see a lot of survivors doing stupid ######### everyday mate... that didn't change when the tome was released.
People play weird and you try to win the match... how is that any different from a regular day of playing dbd?

The one right after this is get 2 safe saves during end game collapse in one match.
Required too since its before the survivor path branches out.
It is not required. Because you can go around it.
And the tomes are also not required by design. You can ignore them and play normally.

This, its just like a multiplier to the previous challenges, with the clear intention that not all challenges are meant to be completed, forcing you to spend Auric cells to unlock more levels, if you are that way inclined.
The rewards just are not really worth it, the same around of fragments/BP for double the amount of work just puts me off wanting to finish it, and buying the next battle pass.
No one is forcing anyone to buy anything.

Yea I understand you wanting to know. I noticed after prestiging my Hillbilly and Trapper once I got 57 and 49 ebony moris respectively. My plague who is p3 has only 41 ebony moris and my p3 pig had only 42.
Maybe i get less of the other items which is entirely possible but I don't think it makes that big of a difference. One thing is for certain, you need to prestige your killer at least once.
Why is it certain?

As killer never use NOED. NOED rewards bad players You should prevent completion of five gens. People who use NOED deserved to be insulted after game.
DS same thing, but in my games DS worked only one time maximum, if i killer. All fine with DS, they just waste perk slot on it.
That's not a toxic mindset at all. Good for you random hater.

I didn't suggest anything. I already expected that argument to be pulled out which people like to bring out in such topics when I'm not even using a Mori.
P.S Both are equally as bad for the game.
I disagree, cypress is perfectly fine. Honestly, doesn't even need to be a hidden offering.
-
At work right now so working from memory here.
Trapper lvl 50, all other killers lvl 40.
Jake lvl30, david lvl 35, kate lvl 10, ash lvl 11, ace lvl 11, quentin lvl 1, steve lvl1, feng 30something, everyone else lvl 40.
Might prestige them all, maybe not... 1 will get prestiged for the achievement, but I'm not sure I wanna bother with it. (and at the same time I know I'll feel like I'm wasting bps by dumping them on lvl 50 characters... 🤷♂️)

15% haste is such a strong effect you could pair it with the better reduce escape chance and the one that downs you if you escape and just charge around the map at 130% speed.. superfast...
Movement speed is such a strong stat. I dont think that is the way to balance trapper.. he just needs to start with more traps at base.. him having to wander the whole map to set up is what hurts him the most. He usually loses atleast 2 gens just getting ready.
I agree. It's not what should be changed about trapper. Just saying it wouldn't be a big deal

Digitally? Yeah that wouldn't be an issue at all.
The only issue would be her appearance not really fitting the world, so it would end up being re-designed some and prolly not really be quite the same.
No. I mean the way she moves and everything.
Also, shes a spider lady, not humanoid enough.
-
Probably the original 4 first. Killers and survivors.
-
As much as I like coraline and the other mother is creppy as #########... I don't think it works in dbd.
For one thing, the way she's animated. You can't translate that easily into the dbd style and they don't have the time or money to properly do it.

This would be broken.. double stack the longer to free self addons and free sonic trapper... lol
It would hardly be broken, most of the time someone steps in a trap it's because you herd them to it.
Unless it last for like a full minute or something crazy like that...
Like, 15 seconds where each second reduces the haste by 1%... would be fine
-
From what I heard, no.
-
Crouching survivors and killers just sink waist deep into the ground
-
Unless the gates are really far away or the trapper screws up, you lost.

Guess there will be 1 less challenge saved from tome 2 for the release of oni and yui then.
Let's see how many from tome 3 I can avoid getting the reward.
