  • Here is how I did it: Empathy, Bond, Kindred, Speed Burst.

See where hooked and/or wounded survivors and hopefully another survivor are. Especially get over there when anotherone is going for an unhook. Then refuse to heal unless the other person starts healing :D Its a bit scummy, but the "best" way to tackle this, I guess. And yeah, I hated this challenge, too.

  • In the end it didn't matter, because I was on my Lucky Break, so go figure.

I give you points for creativity but subtract points for making a pun.

    Verdict? RPD Library.

Oof, thats harsh. I must exert some Iron Grasp over myself, otherwise my emotions would Boil Over just by the mentioning of that name.

As usual, Console gets the short-end of the stick.

    You know what would help?

Better controller settings that almost every other game has.

Tbf, the modern controllers already have rather short sticks by design.... ah ... I know, that one was terrible, right?

So I spent some time earlier trying to get the Quick Draw achievement and I noticed it doesn't interact with when a survivor is "Blessing" a totem. I know the Achievement specifically lists "Cleansing" but I feel like should be a little bit less nuanced than it currently is.

Side note, neither hitting or grabbing grants progress.

You pretty much just have to interrupt a survivor interacting with an active Hex totem. The symbol shows the Deathslingers gun, but don't be dissuaded, you can reel them in, smack them, throw a hatchet at them or even shock them. The important thing it that YOU interrupted them, not that your presence scared them and they canceled the interaction themselves. They must still be holding down M1 (or have to game do so for them) when your attack/power/grap connects with them.

  • I really hate all of the pajama cosmetics. For the most parts they totally break immersion and are overtly goofy. I mean The Entity can pick survivors from pretty much anywhere and any situation, but please, if they are Sailors or Pilots or Rock Chicks or excentric richt Dudes in silk cloth, yeah, thats all ok, but please, dont fetch them all during a goofy pajama party.

    Well, that's a start.

Ouch, The two bad ones I just had in the 20 were if I down someone I could not pick them up and was stuck for about a min doing nothing. The other insanely blatant one was a TPer who got through the exit gates while the doors were shut.

Oh, that one I got once, too! I downed a pesky survivor, and then standing before the hook the prompt to hook wouldnt proceed. I could cancel it if I wanted, but not hook that person. So I did the right thing and just stood there for about a minute motionless, with the other survivors puzzled why I didn't hook their mate, and why they didn't wriggle off. Everyone could see what was going on. Eventually I guess they got bored and let me hook them.

Another time I had a downed player teleporting over the ground to different placed, until they finally settled somewhere and I had problems picking them up.

  • I had a game vs the Huntress, were I was on a gen with another survivor, and every time we were nearly finished, suddenly the completion bar jumped back like 10%. It happened about 4 times, before we finally could finish the gen. This Huntress also sported the Hex: Lulaby, but there were no skill checks involved on my part, and no explosions, screams or any indication that the Feng on the gen had failed some herself, nor any Scourge Hooks. After the game the Huntress player was a rather yolly and nice chap, so I felt a bit bad, but I send a report. I know, on its own and without video evidence it wont do anything, so I don't actually feel bad, but maaaaybe if like 20 people report this person because of anomalies something is done? But I have no frigging clue how BHVRs internal review system works.

  • If the killer is 32m away, they can teleport via a 3s channel to the basement when they get the notification. Could work with either perk.

That was all before my time, but I am still quite scared from time to time in game. Maybe I am just a sweet innocent flower who takes it too seriously. Because when I am in challenge mode, let's be real, ain't nobody got time to be scared.

Yes indeed. You are special and you are precious. Happy Valentinesday <3

Claustrophobia - Blocking windows in a 32 yard radius sounds great on paper, but that's only around the generator that was just completed. Which means it only helps you if survivors are doing a gen in your face, and can help you land maybe 1 hit even if that was the case. Extremely weak perk.

Dying Light - 3% per token, so 2 survivors do things 3% slower (the 3rd is on the hook) - up to a maximum of... 6 times? 18%? Meanwhile Thanataphobia gives 5% for every injured/dying/hooked survivor. Just a straight up superior version of this perk without the penalty of one survivor being faster at heals and unhooks.

Overwhelming Presence - Burn through items 2x as fast? Great. Only within your TR? So uh.. Mostly flashlights then. Yea...

Everything else I can see useful for specific killers or specific loadouts. These? Don't know anyone that would take them for any reason.

Claustrophobia - what if ... in addition to its normal effect it also closed the windows around Gens that are currently worked on? What if it also affected doors and made them impassible unless the killer is within, lets say, 18m? I know that I would surely feel that claustrophobia then!

  • I am always amazed by your style. If I try to scetch anything in this quick scribble style it looks, well, like an aweful scetch. Yours always look detailed and cute and you have developed your very own and very recognizable style, which is always a great thing for any artist. Cudos! And B of course, we want to assert some dominance here, even if it breaks our own heart, but its just for her best!

The chat filter is perfect for a game like this though. We can't have young people see swear words, especially children.

I mean the game isn't even rated 18+ or anything and it definitely doesn't depict people being killed or mutilated. There's not even any partial nudity, like there's no character that's barely covered by a few bandages or anything. And they certainly haven't modeled a character's nudity in any way. So a character like Yui is perfectly covered no matter where you look in the files, ya know?

For a game as child-friendly and innocent as this, swears and mean words are a big no no.

Perfect? PERFECT?! I mean, I am fully with you on that swear word angle, but why censor stuff like "4min" or "but" or "Dwight"? You cant have any meaningful conversation that way! Yeah, all this could be used to come down on some person, like "Dwights play 4min into the game made us all loose! Thanks for nothing, Dwight player!!!1" and another young, tender soul is hurt, but this kind of overprotection also prevents us from praising each other and saying "Dwight, thanks for that save in the 1st min of the game <3"

Considering how slowly BHVR works, it's not a good idea.

They would need to rebalance a LOT of perks.

    It's simply not realistic.

True. But from all the ideas we throw around here, I dont know, maybe 1% wriggle their way into the actual game? I was super surprised by the reduction of Pyramid Heads daily, tbh. All we can to is offer some food for thoughts and play things through in our head. Most musings are just for entertaining, so lets think about how cool the game could be "IF" ^^ And maaaaybe one of the ideas might stick.

  • @Zenologic said:

I think they should give Killers 5 perk slots instead of 4 for balance. You face 16 perks and 4 items with 2 add ons each including BNP. Killers are supposed to be broken and overpowered since it's 4v1

They are not supposed to be broken and OP, BUT at the very least they should stay scary and always pose a threat to the survivors. I think that 5 perks could work, but this is something that you have to look into VERY carefully and i think several combinations should be provibited, like no 5 totems or slowdown perks, I dont know, there is probably a lot of broken stuff that could be done without much of a headache.

What if we got a specialized slot, that could only slot certain perks? In Warframe they did something similiar, you got 8 regular slots there, but one special slot that can only hold movement mods (that games versions of perks). Most movement perks are off-meta as the meta resolves around strong damage mods, so this allowed players to experiment with some of the fun options without providing too much room for OP stuff.

So maybe we could dedicated this 5th slot to an Info/Aurareadong perk, or one defensive perk like Lightborn/Franklins, a QoL perk like Endurance/Brutal Strength/Shadowborn or even an Obession slot for any obsession perk. This way you could somewhat control what combinations are possible and buff killers by giving them more tools, not by boosting their strength too much through synergy.

  • At the very least Territorial Imperative could show the survivors auras in the basement continously. Its already THAT niche and specialized and then you only get 3s of use out of it. I know that it might be the best camper perk, but at least then campers had one less useful perk outside of camping.

It wouldn't be really useful, even if you got the full aura reading down there, but at the very least it could be a fun perk to throw in occasionally, just like Lethal Pursuit. LP is sort of a philosophically debate, some consider it super useful, others say that you essentially play with just 3 perks, 10s into the game. So on some builds its super good, like Oni, on others its more of a fun perk to just get things started, and TI could go into the same direction.

I would also love some more different sound alerts, like a snarl or howl when someone triggers TI (and I still want crow cawing when Spies in the Shadows triggers, goddamit!), we already have a plethora of things doing exactly the same notification and it would be very nice to hear at a glance what happened.

Letting Monstrous Shrine turn the basement hooks into Scourge Hooks would be awesome, but I think BHVR said something along the lines of that they want SH to stay how they are, ie a bit RNG dependant and just 4, no more no less. Maybe MS could also make escape a bit more difficult, like you have to dissolve a Yellow Glyph before unhooking someone from the shrine, when the killer is further away then 32m. This would be both, anti-tunneling/camping and also some nice insurance for the killer that you can't save someone within seconds from the basement. I actually like this idea a lot.

Another thing could be +25% BP on top of BBQ for each sacrifice in the basement to show how pleased The Entity is and to get more players into doing killers, because you could regularly walk out of a game with 300k BP :D

They don't understand this and they think that they're high MMR. If you don't understand the game mechanics then I doubt you're "high mmr"

The only thing that grade reset tremendously helps with are the Adept Killer achievments, as you only need to play a good game, and not a perfect one. Today I got the Adept Shape one, even though a Claudette objected to getting hooked a second time by DCing.

  • I had one of the worst SWF squads today, too, at Ironworks. A Stephe and Nancy were the biggest culprits, but an Ace and Mikaela were also doing their part. Nancy and Stephe did all the stuff that OP told about. The others were doing their stuff, ie booning totems and doing gens, while Nanc and Steph were constantly hovering around me, just outside of my grasp, having expert knowledge of how far they could push each loop or window and constantly flashlight clicking and fast vaulting, just to annoy me. It was such a slough and an endless battle to finally tunnel Mikaela, the weak link, out. Then it was equal punishment for all till I finally, somehow slugged first Stephe, then Nancy and hooked them next to each other, so that the Ace couldn't get to them and instead proceeded to do all the gens.

Ace was okay-ish but nowhere near the level of those two and I quickly cornered him at one of the exit gaes. He t-bagged me like mad while I downed him ... and then I took my sweat, petty revenge and slugged him for the full minutes, knowing fully well that we wouldn't DC, as that would mean an even longer waiting time for his and his friends who were spectating. So I watched some Youtube on my second monitor while casually walking along Ace's frantic crawl for the hatch.

They were all there in the post-game chat, which was extra spicy and well salted and they accused me of being super bad at everything in the game, from looping to mindgaming and suggested that I should go play call of duty or something. Eventually their insults turned more personal and surrounded the supposed status of my facial features. When I asked them if they were 12 they stated that that was non of my buisiness, so I guess they were indeed just some edgy kids.

This was a very sad and bad experience, but its not uncommon these days, far from it. This people are so bored with the base game which they mastered ages ago that the only fun they can still extract from it is via making the life of others as miserable as possible. But if you challenge them its all "Lulz whats your problem? Why take it so seriously? Its just a GAAAAME. We just have some fun. LMAO"

Came in contact with an intentional body blocker today. Couldn't leave the killer shack because a survivor blocked the door I was intending to go out of. I wasn't the intended victim, but with no way out, I obviously became it.

If the devs implemented an "invisible pass-through" it would fix the issue without any negative or abusable repercussions. By this I mean, after 2 or 3 seconds of trying to get through a survivor blocked doorway or vault, you should automatically pass through them to the other side.

    What do you think?

Killers everywhere hate this one simple trick. Subscribe and like to learn more!

"Slightly" harder? Always feels impossible to me. I can only use his power for map mobility.

But that's why I never play Oni at all. NOED seems like a weird choice for him; I'd assume anyone using him is able to use his power.

Hitting Demon Strikes consistently IS the skill ceiling for Oni, the thing that you MUST get down in order to git gud. I don't hit all my Demon Strikes, but after many, many games as Oni I finally get the hang of it. And then you finally start to understand how to hit 'em out of a Demon Charge, which is the best thing in the world. You come charging from half the map away and BAM! Strike and out. Like Lightning from a clear sky. But this has a much bigger margin for error and you wont always get an opportunity for it. Still, if it hits its the best feeling this game can offer.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Wow, I thought I was hitting it HARD. To the point of burnout. And I am only around 35. To be fair, I am technically around 38, I am just waiting for Sadako to collect the challenges.

Tbf, diving into survivor helped a lot here. Its so much more relaxing then playing killer and you can watch some Netflix or Youtube while doing it, its like taking a break from the game :D

  • I am feeling it myself, ie the better I get at the game, the more I have to tunnel to keep one foot in the door. Once you get the game down to a 3v1 it becomes much more relaxed and manageable. Sometimes, when you start tunneling, the survivors kinda throw the game by throwing themselves between yourself and the hook, getting multiple downs, just to prevent their friend getting hooked again. This games then end very quickly.

I know first hand that getting tunneled off the hook feels super aweful, but at the higher third of the game (I guess) it becomes an utter necessity or you get stomped hard and then laughed off. This makes me wonder, what BHVR is cooking up in their anti-tunnel-department, because tunneling was "identified as a problem".

In a perfect world, we would get a system like Devour Hope, maybe coupled with Gen regression and health speed, instead of Exposed and Killed, ie you get stacks if you run away from the hook, but therefore the game slows a bit down and you get more chances at hunting the survivors.

BUT there is the very real possibility that they will just penalize tunneling, essentially taking it away from the killers repertoire of tools, and if you can neiter camp nor tunnel nor play for 12 hooks like we all secretly want, whats then left for killers? How could they then strike back? Defend their gens? Get anything done?

This is a delicate matter, and I hope damn well, that BHVR sees it the same way.

  • @chargernick85 said:

Amazing you can play this much. Even if I had the time I cant play this gm that much. The game is dull and just needs new content (not new characters) new gameplay content.

It might help that I only started in November when I finally bought the game, before Stranger Things disappeared from the shop, so everything is relatively new and exciting for me. Though I can also clearly see the problems, as I mostly play killer (about a 30/70 spread).

  • Indeed. I might often voice my concern about the state of the game, especially the killer game play, but I am investing quite some time now into Oni, and nothing is more fun then smashing some face with his Kanabo.

The game has a lot of edges that might rub you the wrong way, but its the most fun I had since Warframe and I just want it to become the best game it can be.

  • @Marcavecunc said:

I like that idea, but I'd make it a little different.. Not block the totems entirely.. but prevent totems from being Blessed entirely. Cleansed, who cares, it benefits you, blessed is what you want to block. So I'd make blessing totems blocked for 40/50/60 or something

But yeah , good idea, snuffing a totem shouldnt penalize you as a killer.

This is an interesting idea: when you snuff them, the perk activates and for a time no totems can be blessed ... they can be cleansed, though. So this might force/bait some survivors to cleanse a totem and help you combo with Pentimento.

Or it could curse all totems so that you need to cleanse one (anyone) in order to access them again.

  • I don't know why, though? I play mainly killer and have been hit with lots and lots and lots of DS, some deserved, some undeserved, but if you look into the history of DS, its probably in the best state it has ever been. The thing is that a survivor might bait you into chasing and downing them, but if they do it off the hook, thats on you. If they do it like 30s later, then this stuff is probably more beneficial to you then to the survivor, because that survivor could do exactly NOTHING else to help his team. Once you touch a generator, or other teammate (to heal) or do anything to advance the game, you will deactivate DS.

There is SOME cornercases where DS feels somewhat unfair, and thats during EGC, when a survivor can get downed and then crawl towards the exit gate, and when you pick them up they stun you and run to safety, but thats literally the only case and it only happened to me once. I mean, just because DS is the "anti-tunnel-perk" it must not punish any situation in which you werent tunneling. Its got several rules that you can learn and then you can often spot the bait and punish the survivor by not going after them and wasting time.

Oh, and some of the locker baits can be pretty dirty, but you actually learn to spot the sus locker jumps right in your face pretty easily and then can react to it how you see fit.

  • I noticed that, too. The thing is, BHVR probably wants to keep all their options open. While they might not be reworking add-ons right now, that doesn't say that they might not do something like that the next time they kill-switch a character; heck they even might have to kill-switch someone because of some add-ons. I think this feature just disables everything, so that they can work on it without thinking too much what the players might do in the mean time to mess with it. Its probably for the best to keep something absolutely off-limits when you bust it open to work in its innards.

  • I sometimes do this to the last member of a bully squad after I ~worked~ suffered through 3 of their despicable members, while getting tormented in any way possible. Usually the last one will t-bag melike mad when cornered and then, when they realize that they are slugged and not hooked, wriggle like mad on the floor or desperately crawl to a hook.

I would never do this in a normal game, but I recon that it is right up the alley of these people, since they love bullying to much that they do it for an entire game, right? And since they are normally 3-4 man squads they are reluctant to DC, because that would make everyone wait even longer. The post game chats are extra spicy and well salted, though, just how I like it.

  • @BoriskyTheFox said:

How is playing killer miserable, exactly? Because i get 3-4ks almost every match. Do you know why? Killers have many gen regression perks that they can rely on. Killers can literally win against every solo team.. they just sometimes struggle while playing against SWFs. If killers bring good gen defence perks and addons.. survivors dont stand a chance. If you still keep losing despite all strong killer perks... this is a skill issue.

This is a flat out lie and you know it. But your entire account is one big trolling, so we will just see what comes next :)

  • Yeah, that sounds bugged. Whenever I play killer, which is about 70% of my game time, I get smacked in the face 5 times during the first chase, if I am unlucky.

  • I used my 2 million to bring both Myers and Freddy, my latest acquisition, from lvl 10 to 40. Worked like a charm, and I got both Adepts within 4 games.

Now I got all killer Adepts and am finally free to use all the perks in whatever way I want, on every killer... If only I got them unlocked! Pyramid Head is my most well developed Killer, and I guess I could drop another million just on him, to finally unlock all perks.

It doesn't help that I occasionally prestige one of my lvl 50 killers, just for fun. The cosmetics are nice, but so very limited. I still advocate that your prestige reward should be a checkbox next to weapons/bodies/heads and that you could add the blood to every cosmetic. It wouldn't look as good as the handcrafted ones, but at least you would get a shot at using your prestige reward; once you got some fun event cosmetics you might never look at the bloody basic costumes again.

  • Good, old Rancor Roulette. Who will die this game? Stay tuned and just throw another pallet :>

EDIT: BTW I am a bit miffed that BBQ isn't basekit. I would love to run Rancor as my info perk, but I won't run both. Amd every time I don't use BBQ I am saddened at the end game screen, when the blood points basically stay where they are.

  • For real. While they are an essential resource for survivors, they are by ni means rare and you can literally not turn a f-ing corner without pumping into one.

Getting rid of them feels like a chore, and getting smacked in the face seldom feels like the survivors outplayed you, most of the time it's just a requirement to go through, and if you are unlucky they just pay homage to the "hold W meta" and run off to the next.

Maps like The Game feel night unplayable at times.

  • @WesCravenFan said:

You have every right to dodge whatever lobby you want. The feature is there for a reason.

The survivors are then in one of two scenarios:

1.) Their queue times are fast, you've hurt them none and they have nothing to complain about.

    OR

2.) They have a long queue time, and should probably reflect on WHY exactly a Killer would do that.

True and true, but there is this certain breed of rowdy youth or YA who frankly don't ever reflect, just complain or feeling wronged and insulted. Its a sad fact of life, but we will always have this elements of society. Normally a few years in the workforce and a bit of life experience will mellow them out and make passable people out of them, but most of us got through our edgy phase, right?

Up until then we gotto hold out and somehow try to educate them whenever possible. Enter basement bubba .

Just had another game where I could tell the killer had noed (he was playing really noed like, ie whiffing a lot, trying to hard tunnel, etc) and I started doing totems. I’ll paint the scene.

I saw the last totem on a hill after searching about 2 minutes (I use the four corner + middle strat and it works every time) and we were down to 1 gen. I smiled. We were going to have a four man out. Then all of a sudden I spot a Yui running towards it, and boom, my teammate booned it. I screamed in agony, clicking my flashlight and shaking my head no as she blessed it.

    She didn’t understand 😢.

He was a doctor who missed all of his shocks, he was going to have noed. Probably green, probably in the first or second slot. Not a last minute, hmm I’ll add noed doctor—no, a definite noed is my first perk because I’m not good at playing doctor yet and still want to kill someone doctor.

I got chased away, started looping, then all of a sudden the killer left. I was like word?? That’s not good. Then I saw a dull blue light fade in the distance and I knew he kicked the boon.

Oh no me thought. I had started a gen earlier, before I began my totem hunt, so I went for it. It was solo que, I couldn’t stand around a totem in hopes he left the area and waste time. Yui was getting chased around it, a baby Dwight was walking around trying to loot while hiding because he was on death hook, and I was assuming the last guy was on a gen but I wasn’t sure and didn’t want to waste more time running around the map. After all, if I popped the gen and he had noed, no one was on death hook but me and the Dwight. He was chasing Yui who had another hook left. I was cross map, and I’d gladly break the totem and go for a save later. (I was on death hook because he was tunneling the baby Dwight and I kept taking downs for him to try and keep him in the game. I figured I’d escape pretty easily once noed was broken.)

The second I pop the gen however, I see the killer coming towards me. I had adrenaline but he was so ######### fast I got no distance on him and died to noed. Just like that. BECAUSE SOMEONE WANTED TO BLESS A TOTEM 😭 LMFAO. I smelled out noed and called it off the bat, more than ready to counter it by doing totems. But alas, no, that boon kept me from getting it done when I needed to do it. Never thought a boon would make me so mad 😂.

This wasn’t a complaint post or anything, just wanted to share my humorous experience of knowing I died because a Yui wanted shadow step 😂.

    p.s

I did know early game he was going to have noed but between doing gens, healing my team, and trying to help out a new player, I didn’t have much time to go find and cleanse totems. I knew I could find them fairly quickly but if someone is injured, another is getting chased, and only one person is on a gen, I’m going to have to prioritise the gens/team. I wasn’t able to get the last totem done until that point bc we were finally in a good situation with gen progression :’). I did pick off a few throughout the match but it came to a point where I had to stop until everyone else was ok and progressing. Solo que plus the new mmr just made it more difficult than usual, which is alright. Just clearing this up!

Ngl, at first I thought "pfff, what a whiny post", but the story proved to be rather entertaining and proves that sometimes everything can go wrong.

Its a corner case, ie someone doing bones AND a boon totem being detrimental to the teams efforts, but yeah, its about the same level as the one time a player during the EGC kobed on me and crawled towards the exit gates and I suspected him to have DS, which was right. I picked him up the second he got to the threshold, got hit by DS and he escaped scott free. But this are corner cases that make for an interesting story, but still show now greater problem at work.

Good luck next time, and hmm do bones :> (in SoloQ I also do lot's of bones).

Im pretty sure that's one of team leaders favourite perk and they don't want dh to be changed at all. That's the only explanation. Same with noed. I can imagine 2 guys just came to an agreement they don't touch dh if they don't touch noed or something like that

Without going into detail here, but each and every time I see a post containing the words "it's/that's the only explaination" or "using this perk/killer/item/add-on is literally braindead" is enough prove for me to not give that persons opinion another thought.

Like if I was a survivor main I would be happy for quicker search times lmao

And that White Glyph one was actually quite fun. I would love to do it again, so why complain? :) FR though, picking up that Glyph and Urban Evasionwalking it over to the basement was the easiest thing in the world, I got both instances done first try. The Mirror you got is worth 25k BP, though, if you dont trade it away for another item and keep it till you escape, I don't think everyone knows about that.

  • @BoriskyTheFox said:

Basement bubba is one of the many reasons why survivors are leaving the game.

I mean, a few less survivor players might help, ever so slightly, so balance out the ratio between the two sides, giving the remaining survivors a better playing experience. This man is doing good work, indeed.

  • Yeah --- the censoring is so bad that you can't have any meaningful conversation, even if you try it. You can't comment on anything that happened in-game, because the screennames, SURVIVOR NAMES, stuff like "but", rank names or even time units are all censored.

I guess all of that could be used in a toxic way, ie "lulz, I totally stomped you puny Silver ranks" or "duh, that dwight hid for 5min in the closet! duh!", but what is really left in the post game chat? Maybe saying "ggez" and leaving? I dunno ... I am honestly lost for words and quite puzzled. I mean, swear words and some ways to get around that, yeah, I get that, but "but"? I would be playing tons more but I also play Elder Scrolls Online and a couple other minor games. 😁

Mixing it up keeps the salt levels way low.

This one here figured it out!

Most of the time they stay active for all match. Because with the new map reworks they arent easy to detect anymore. I think they should put totems to more obvious places. Yeah, survivors may not choose to find hexes because of the hex spots that are hard to find but then.. they suffer from the overpowered effects of some hexes. So i think they shoud just reposition totems.

Lolol. This time I knew it was you before I even looked at your name. BoriskyTheFox ... more like BoriskyTheBaiter!!! I will keep an eye on you, young man, but keep on going :) This will be fun, I guess.

nope they did no gens just trolling the killer they all had 1st hook states but did 0 gens without me they won't do any gens but when someone unhooks you in front of a face camping killer that's not cool basically the killer wants at least 1 kill by camping me with noed and they went to open the gate while I was hooked and ran away so that's it I ain't doing any gens any more I'll just run around the whole match till someone finishes the gens

Sometimes this forums are tough to work with. Pulsar is a veteran ex-player who knows fully well what you mean, but sometimes people like to twist words a bit. Yes, you could spin the tale like this, that this three kept the killer busy, but I would bet my left arm (not confident enough to go for the right, but hey) that they were a SWF bully squad that had no interest in the proper game, but just wanted to torment the killer as much as possible and then usually kill themselves on hook once on of their number dies. Or if not and you speak out to them in the post game chat you just get stuff like "lol what? why take it so serious? Its just a gaaaame and we are just having fun. lulz"

BUT @BadZilla you might actually have the wrong impression about the MMR system, like so many. You mentioned making "no progess"? Thats nonsense. I am not sure if you gained 2 pips or not, but it sounds like it, and thats the only progress that matters.

Grades (that you need pips for) and MMR (an invisible score that many people apparently know so much about that they can speculate about their number) are two different systems. One is used for bragging rights, a few achievments and getting bloodpoints at the 13th each month, when they reset, and the other is used for matchmaking, but often does nothing due to queue length and player (killer) numbers. I mean, what do you have to gain from raising your MMR up in the air? You will get more tough opponents, more sweaty opponents, more SWF bully squads that know the game so well that this is the only fun they can gleen from it, etc. so the highest possible MMR isnt even something to strive for, especially since its an invisible number and you cant even brag about to be amoung the "x-amount of best players hurdur!".

The only thing were MMR truly matters is the lowest reaches of it, knows as MMR-Hell for survivors. Down there you are on your own, your teammates know nothing, no one comes for saves and sweaty NOED Wraith lord over their fiefdoms of terrified peasant, themselves being prisoners to this lands because every time they tried to assault their neighbors, any experienced survivor will repell their weak tactics.

But alas, you seem to have left MMR-Hell long ago, so rejoice! And dont think too much about invisible numbers. One thing that the MMR system does halfway right (sometimes .. maybe) is giving you more non-sweaty games if you dont sweat it too much yourself. I once was (maybe) in high MMR, because I sweated each and every game, gave it my all and tried to get as many survivors as possible! But after a while my gaming experience really suffered because of it. You know tha tales: each game felt like the finals in the dbd worldchampionship, only super coordinated SWF sweat squads or super-coordinated SWF bully squads, no quarters given, no querters expected. After a while it kinda broke me and I relaxed my games. I still got a lot of wins, but most of the time I give the last one the hatch. For me this keeps my MMR a little bit lower (not too much though since its the last kill), it nearly always gives you a positive response in the post game chat and a fuzzy feeling when they thank you and in case of a super sweaty squad I just let one of them loop me for three minutes, then open the doors myself and be off to a new game.

Not anymore. ZubatLel got a faster time as Nurse on swamp. 1:57 I believe.

Holy Guacamole! Is this even physically possible? I mean did one spawn right next to Haunted Grounds and the others lined up? :D

  • Wow, just had my fastest match ever and I remembered this thread, so here we go.

I am writing this literally within two minutes of ending the match, so this whole affaire was like SUPER fast :D

I had Nemesis with Lethal Pursuer and started a game on Midwich Elementary. Saw two survivors spawning on the upper floor together with me and one running towards me, so I hid behind a door and jumpscared her. She jumped into a locker and I instantly grabbed her, like 15s into the match.

Next I didn't see the hook right next to her so I went into the wrong direction, when I turned to face said hook, the second survivor crouched behind me, trying to body block me. I downed them on the way to the hook, hooked survivor 1, then survivor 2 in the courtyard below at mark 0:54s. Both killed themselves on the hook and the others DCed.

I mean, I can't really blame them, I guess? But we could also just have ended the game with some sacrifices and everyone would have got points (however little) and no DC penalty ^^" At the minimum you would have to eat an extra 5min for a game that lasted 1:34s, but I guess at that moment its a rage quit and pride thing.

I just like how the queue time argument means nothing when it's all dependent on the time of day

I don't fully understand your objection here. As a longtime forum user you 100% know all the talk and arguments about "shorter survivor queue times during the day, longer in the evening", as its not that hard to explain, but the longest queue times of Killers during the day are 2min, while the longest survivor ones can be up to 20min, according to some stories. How does the argument crumbles, because its dependent on the time of the day? Have friend-groups, who play in the evening, always faced 20min queue times? Was there a time were it wasnt THAT bad? And what might be the reason for that? Connect the dots and draw your own conclusion, if you are brave enough.
