I was playing as The Knight on Garden of Joy (more like Pain) earlier, I managed to sacrifice a Jill with 2 gens still being left to do. When the game ended I checked the results and she had the escapee symbol next to her. I have never seen such a thing before, not in a regular match.
She had the globe symbol next to her as well, along with everyone else in that survivor group. They either were on the Epic client or on console. No really, what happened here? Are the cheaters back at full force?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/72JGKOG1L74L/dead-survivor-escaping-the-trial.png
I encountered a few blatant cheaters already and a lot of sneaky ones,I had a game where all gens we're completed in less than 4 minutes while I was getting my 2 kills.
No way they rushed gens so fast when I have 2 kills already at 4 minutes.
-
DH is a bad perk that encourages luck,you're in a chase and you either need to swing or get bamboozled by the survivor.
I had so many chases where survivor got distance just because I didn't swing and they juked.
This perk will never leave meta no matter how much they nerf until they completely rework it.
Its more than half of the time an extra health slate and now that survivors got better at it,its an even freakin worse perk than the old dead hard.
At least in the old dead hard survivor didn't get a speedboost from it with endurance,now if they hit the dh,they're gone.

And some people will still argue that eruption is not severely overtuned.
Not really the fact its overtuned,its the fact its hard to predict when someone is going down especially in soloq.
They should make it so when you repair a generator with eruption on it,you see the aura of the killer and survivor when they're in a chase.
So you can tell exactly when someone is going down.

No, they've said it's a bugged tile (at least in shattered square). I'm not surprised if it's bugged elsewhere too, given the random junk spawning all over the place.
Weirdly, this makes the Game one of the least terrible places right now--it has its usual assortment, not all the pallets it always has and everything else that can show up.
Even sheltered woods is now a pallet town lol.

@IamFran said:
That depend of the mindset you play the game. If you try to achieve a 4k at all cost it promotes bad gameplay, but if you play chill and just want to have fun chasing survivors (as my case) the gameplay is good. Unfortunately a lot of killer players are obsesed with the 4k and play like scumbags taking the game too "competitive". In my case is more satisfactory to hook the survivors 8 times and by winning chases and mindgames even if they scape than killing the four survivors by tunneling, camping and usind disgusting perks like NOED. I only tunnel and camp when they rush gens and I almost don't have hooks for obtaining a little satisfaction at least.
If you dont mind getting teabagged and gg ez after they escape,that's cool.

no thats not the games fault, that is because everyone wants to win in a 4v1 game. And where the 1 is way stronger in a 1v1 normally. Where rng and teamplay are a deciding factor, where skills bring you only so much.
If people would get off their high horses and think the opponent has to cather to them, then DBD would not have such a heated community.
It doesn't,but for some reason in this game,a lot of people seem to think otherwise lol.

Even as survivor, I dont like how totem become Survivors' thing, it should be in Killers favor
BHVR needs to treat both playerbases equally if they dont want a side to not be played.
I get its 4 survivors and 1 killer,4/1 ratio but they need to treat both sides equally.
Killers have too many objectives,survivors not enough,all survivors care now is rush gens and heal,boon,which doesn't take long at all.

After June update
- Less 2nd chance perks & 50sec Gen
- => Tunneling become more effective
- ==> Survivors use Gen perks instead
- Plus totem play mostly gone
- Item/addon are cheaper, while BP is easier to gain, there is no reason not to bring at least a Brown Toolbox with addons in.
- => The only thing survivors should do is Gen and ignore the rest.
The only reason survivors touch totems now is to boon them.
Hexes are dead,90% of them.

Yes, another post about how broken nurse is. Because how can devs think she's justified when EVERY (And I mean every) round I play against her leads to at-least 2 first hook suicides or DC's and no more than 2 gens being completed max when people don't leave immediately and actually try. She's unplayable in her current state and needs work, why won't devs listen to people? And why do they think she's balanced when her kill rate is only low because likely 60-70% of her rounds have DC's so aren't included? Anyone can master her and garuntee a 3k-4k after a few hours of playing her, especially with broken perks like eruption.
I once looped a Nurse for a good 1 minute,it still wasn't enough as after I got downed my team just crumbled and I pretty much died on hook because no one came for unhook unless I hit stage 2 and my team was so "good" that they just unhooked me in Nurse face and I got downed immediatly again and died.
Its not just the fact Nurse is op,its also the fact most survivors are **** at this game and rage so easily when something is a challenge for them.

Yeah, There are a few other killers where the extra stuff just feels really bad. It's a buff for M1 killers though, since it doesn't mess up their power, and they get the benefit of getting free hits on survivors that get stuck on the extra stuff.
Yeah not until they fix the bugged tiles that spawn too many pallets.

But you have to remember a killer is essentially a solo player and has only their own mistakes to account for. Survivors have to account for 3 other people's mistakes as well as their own. So it's a different problem but same level of pressure.
If you think playing survivors is on the same level of pressure as killer i'm just gonna assume you never played killer and you're just survivor biased.

Not really. A lot of people play games to be social even if its just with 1 friend which survivor offers. I only play killer if no one else is playing with me.
Playing killer is a completely different experient than playing survivor,there's a lot of players that dont play killer just because they dont have someoen to play with.
@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3272385#Comment_3272385
Survivors overall are undertuned tho. If the average state of the game would mean 50% escape rate for survivors and slightly more than 50% killrate for killers, then sure, it might be slightly overtuned for survivors.
But right now? Escaperates are less than 40% on average, and killrates are at 60%
That's because survivors play bad not because they're undertuned,the vast majority of survivors dont care to get better and just want to chill and relax.
Good survivors are much rarer than good killers.

You must not be using it right. Deja Vu has come in handy plenty of times for me.
People are sleeping on perks that are not exhaustion or second chance perks,or gives you a fast gen speed like prove thyself.
This perk is much better in soloq than prove thyself,where you have matches you have to do gens alone because your teammates are too ****** and they dont wanna touch gens.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
If it was 5% on those generators until the next 3 were highlighted (like I originally thought it worked), it would be worth it. But most of the time you spent half that 60 seconds just traveling to one of the highlighted gens so by the time you get there you're really only shaving off a few seconds
Its the information that really matters in a game where most survivors dont care about 3gen until its too late

Having friends to play with is really important in this game if you play survivor.
-
Why do people have to complicate things,its really that simple,Nurse is too OP,she ignores everything in the game and she downs you fast and abuse perks other killers cant just as good.
If going to the corners of the map is the best counter to Nurse,you know she's busted and a killer like her should not be a thing in the game.
Its absolutely crazy its been 6 years and she's still this overpowered.
Going againts Nurse its not fun,you can be the best survivors in the world and you will still die againts her.

Yes I am. It's why nobody uses Pop or Ruin anymore. You don't have to be SWF to finish the gen before Eruption goes off, guess and let go when the survivor's about to go down, or work on another gen until Eruption passes. You can't hide behind "solo is weak" forever. We should never have gotten this deep into discussions about this perk until we've fixed the matchmaking. I hope the devs ship the update for team MMR before they decide to nerf Eruption, which is being asked for constantly at this point.
With Call Of Brine/Overcharge, you just hit the skill check to stop the regression. Then the killer's wasted 2 perks, and all he's got is Eruption. So your 3-perk combo is really a 1-perk combo against actually good survivors. If you're pressuring gens that much, you're not going for chases that much, are you? At least not chases that lead to downs, which is the only thing that activates Eruption. There's just too many holes in that combo to call it good.
Tell me you're a killer main without telling me you're a killer main,would you also like the original Ruin to come back?
-
@TheSubstitute said:
I would say post 3.5 to pre 6.1 Ruin is healthier for the game overall and much healthier with the deactivates upon first down condition. It incentivizes chasing and deincentivizes tunneling and camping.
@ScottJund did a good video about that as well if you want to take a look at it
He really explains it so well,its true that 3.5.0 ruin regression meta was the best and least obnoxious one,it incentivizes chasing,now killers just kick gens all game and secure a 3gen

@Emeal said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/354954/uncounterable-3-gen-campers
You can use the perk Deja Vu to prevent this.
I was using deja vu,it changed nothing,the killer just patrolled the 3gen all game and couldn't break it
@Yoshirama said:
This happened to me twice in the same map (dead saloon)
The first one was a dredge and the second one was a hag, they didn’t chase us, they just wanted to protect the 3 gen and it was awful that both time we let them to kills us because the match was so boring and it was taking so long.
is not the killer playing smart, they just like to hostage the game until the other side just give up
Exactly this,camping is boring and unfun,you patrol a 3gen and make it impossible for it to be broken if they are too close and easy to protect.
@Plu said:
If you got into a 3 gen situation, it's pretty much your fault and / or your team's fault.
I know it sucks when it happens but that's just how the game is, 3 gen has always been a strategy for killers and after so many years i'm baffled that survivors still let it happen to them.
I didn't say that I or my team let it happen,we wanted to break it since the start but killer didn't let it happen and was impossible to break
I am talking when the killer protects a 3gen at the start of the game,I always try to break a 3gen as early as possible,but its impossible when the killer prioritizes it since the start of a game

@YOURFRIEND said:
Ruin was the most tedious perk ever. Don't get to play the game until you find two totems. If it were still a thing it'd be paired with penti for full nightmare mode.
Don't like eruption? Run empathy. You can guess when your teammate is about to go down with a decent degree of accuracy.
Running a perk just so you can possibly counter Eruption is not a solution just like shattered hope is not a real solution to boons.
Run x perk to maybe counter x perk is not really a fix.

"If it comes to that, let's close the game"
"We should have closed the very day of our release in 2016, but our game is unique so players hang on, you have to know that DBD is literally a spirit all on its own"
I think you replied on the wrong thread because this doesn't have anything to do with what I said.
I was saying how camping in general is not good and near impossible to counter.

I had a match yesterday as Deathslinger with the most disgusting gen spread I've ever seen. We were on Suffocation Pit and 5 gens spawned right next to the main building. Even though my chases were very quick the survivors still managed to complete 4 gens and got the last to 95ish %. They were well coordinated but not all that good at looping and they still managed to almost win this even without super strong items. I'd say most 3 gens are fine considering how long the average survivor lasts in chase and how many strong items they usually bring into a match.
Did you camped the gens or did you just focus on the chase?

Your second mistake is to place Solo Q as an argument to reinforce your initial point.
You should know that the very principle of SoloQ is to play with strangers who are not your friends in the real world and therefore have no reason to work hard in the game to please you.
That's why SWF players will always be stronger than SoloQs.
We need to understand this and stop using the phrase "SoloQ" over and over.
nvm

Exactly in the case of wallhacking - yes. You can't tell for sure.
Me too, I'd love to see a replay system, but... From scratch it's going to take forever to implement, since it's involved the match id system first.
This is the only way to properly get rid of subtle cheaters that wont get banned because you dont have enough proof..

No, they do ban any cheater that were properly reported with evidence.
What's the evidence when a survivor is wallhacking,you cant tell because it just look like they just evading you and leave early a generator.
The only way to properly tell if someone is 100% cheating is to have a replay system in this game which probably wont happend because of the bad code dbd has.
Also it shouldn't be a player job to always record his gameplay just in case he encounters a cheater,cheaters have made a playground out of dbd because the game has so many vulnerabilities and its so easy to cheat,especially since subtle cheats are so hard to spot.Even with video proof.

You do know that doesn't make it even a small amount less annoying? Which is the point. It doesn't matter if he is the weakest killer (which he is not even remotely close to being weak) he is the most annoying and least fun.
He's a lot more fun to go againts than:
Cenobite,Bubba,Artist,Nurse,Spirit and i'm pretty sure there's a lot more but these ones take the cake

I personally think basekit unbreakable is a good ideea,being slugged on the floor is not fun,the killer has enough time to pick you up anyway.

"The screaming and madness is nowhere near as annoying as people make it to be and to me it makes the games more fun and interesting."
That's your opinion, and your opinion is obviously skewed because you obviously enjoy annoying other players. My opinion is:
I don't care what map it is, if it is a doctor the match will just be annoying. That's what he does. Annoy you to death. Worse than that, this is how killers that use him play. Even when you have full insanity they are still trying to shock you just for the annoyance of it.
He's not fun. His power has too many bonuses that are too useful on certain maps and with certain perks he is one of the most oppressive and powerful killers in the game.
Let me reiterate. He is NOT fun to play against. He is ANNOYING to play against. This is my opinion, but I hate when I have to use him for a daily ritual or a tome challenge because I feel bad for annoying everyone. He feels cheap and makes me feel like I am cheating.
You do know that if he shocks you,you gain distance againts him,its not like his shocks has no downside or anything.

The fact is that for example his on-screen effects from madness alone go from annoyingly distracting up to a health hazard (not so much after the tuen down) depending on the individual player and I don't think you can just cast aside other peoples opinion just because your own experience differs, which you made your post sound like.
"I have a different experience, i guess all other are just exaggerating or wrong".
Or in other words:

ok..lol
Its obviously my opinion so I dont know what you really want me to say lmao.

What the killer needs to do to win is to accomplish many objectives before the survivor achieves them. In other words, more hooks need to be done faster than the generator can be repaired and escaped.
From this perspective, there are two ways to accomplish this.
1. directly make it more difficult to repair the generator
2. end the chase faster than the generator can be repaired.
Yes, the slowdown is 1. and the chase PERK is 2.
But there are still too many situations where I would put more trust in slowdown, when you also take into account the killer's unique abilities.
And if we assume that we are fighting the strongest SWF in the game...90% of perk is not an option.
That is a game problem more.
