This would be a very cute idea of hexes weren't absolutely worthless right now. Your shattered hope hex would, ironically, just get booned twenty seconds into the match.
Survivors will waste an insurmountable amount of time doing it and they will just waste time not being on gens. Its 28 seconds to bless a hex,and almost 1 minute if you run thrill.

Because money over anything else.
This game has been a toxic for a while now and they dont care how enjoyable your experience is,if they we're they would have done more to fix cheating and punished toxicity, but they dont.

Please tell me that the Snowman no longer destroys Killers like Ghostface or Twins. For these who don't know, jumping into the Snowman would remove the Exposed Effect when fully stalked. For Twins, it was free protection shield againts Victor and then you could just kick it on top of that. Etc. Other Killers could be effective in some negative way. Last event this was easy to abuse since snowman spawn was everywhere around the map and it was quite offten easy to find one.
Yeah,it pretty much made some killers very bad and even on the ones it didn't affect much,it could still waste their time when a survivor might or might now hide in a snowman.

Thanks for the feedback.

Oh I can agree on both, maps need to be smaller and fairer for both survivor and killer. Eruption is also pretty bad, especially for soloQ but against a swf it's a godsend.
Yeah map needs to be smaller, except the last 4 maps BHVR released we're all survivor sided so I see a trend that its hard not to call out.

I still see perks like pain res in nearly all of my matches along with other gen perks. Yet no one seems to be talking about that perk.
If the argument is that dead hard should be nerfed because it's used a lot then pain res should also be nerfed again because it's still used often
Pain res depends on hook rng,and you can easily dodge any other effect by just getting off gens while the hook animation happens.
Also you can just get off the gen be 2 seconds if you wanna counter any other effect pain res might cause besides gen regression.
Killers are forced to run slowdown perks like this because of the current genrush problem.
Dead hard is a free health state most of the times, survivors can live without dead hard, killers cant without gen regression perks because survivors have no other objectives except rushing gens and going for a save.

50% usage in a game with over 100 perks is pretty awful and means it is still overused. Also in high MMR, its usually 3-4 people with it.
The high mmr survivors always use dead hard because they got so good at using it,its even stronger than old dead hard, old dead hard just gave you a little bit of distance to make it to a pallet, now it gives you a whole sprin burst that confirms you make it to the next loops.

But that was literally your argument?? You yourself said that with the change only skilled people could be op with her??
"I'm tired of seeing Nurse be soo op,now she can only be op if you are skilled with her." Those were your exact words?
And overall if the nurse is only average you can loop her fairly well, if you have some clue of what you're doing...
What i'm saying is that if you nerf her,she would feel fair and counterable even againts the ones that user her to her maximum potential and play her really good.
Right now there is nothing you can do againts a good Nurse because her power in its current state is too strong.

Having that thing on your screen all the time would be so annoying when you already know how far her blinks go... So maybe make it so you can disable that in the options or something? But Nurse is not op if the guy playing her is average... So what even is your argument?
This is like saying, just because no one is playing her to its maximum potential then its ok.
lol
Sure, how about make Nemesis tentacle insta down a survivor.
But wait, just because not everyone can optimally play him and use his tentacle to always hit, then its ok.

I must live in some parallel universe of games in the EU, cuz me and my mate have been playing for 3 years and for the past 6 months plus we probably escape an average of 1 in 10 games, even if 2 gens pop fast.
Killers snowball as games progress, survivors tend to do the opposite. Map size shrinks, less gens to defend, survivors have more objectives to do (rescue, heal, open gates, less resources) and killers have much better end game perks that can change the match.
Only if you 3 gen yourself,if you focus on the right gens at the start, you will pressure the killer a lot later as they cant defend gens properly,so map doesn't really shrink,it gets bigger for him.
That's why I run deja, its not like the last gens you have to do are all stacked in the middle of the map lol.

Now I know you've heard every killer complain about the hatch, but honestly I think it is more detrimental to survivors than anything. If a team is doing poorly against a killer a lot of immersed gamers will just wait around for their team that is actually trying to die so they can get the hatch/door escape. I think having this system in place is an encouragement to not work as a team. I feel like an easy fix for this would be to make hook timers slow when a killer is within a certain range and remove the hatch as an escape option. More issues would arise to need fixing however I think overall this would improve the soloq experience.
BHVR wants to hold survivor hands and reward them for playing selfish and not like a team as its intended to play a game where you have teammates.
This is the sole reason circle of healing exists, someone at BHVR said, man it sucks when I play survivor and I cant heal myself without a medkit, why not make a perk that gives me infinite heals for just booning 14 seconds, and on top of that, you got score points as well.

DBD is not really a skillful game to begin with. There are tons of games out there which require more Skill, DBD is pretty easy, regardless of the role you play.
And well, Survivor has to be the easier role. You need 4 Survivors and 1 Killer, it is by definition clear that Killer is harder (but it is not hard in general), because why should the team with 1 player have it easier than the team with 4 players? It would make 0 sense to play on the team with 4 players if it would be harder, so we would have very long queues for Killer if Killer would be easier than Survivor.
Its easy for survivor, playing killer is not so easy having to multitask keeping track of so many things at once.
And it makes total sense why survivor should be harder, because as survivors there are 4 that have to work together to do good. And that should compensate for the fact it should be the harder role, that's rewarded for team play.
The killer is alone which makes sense, why the side with 4 people should have it easier than the side with just 1 that can only rely on himself and deal with 4 survivors?
The only reason why survivor is easier, its because its the role played more and brings BHVR more players in the playerbase, that's why its the more chill role and because of the fact BHVR knows most survivors will play greedy like its a solo game and forget you actually need teamwork to do good, they are trying to make it so,you can still do good even though you're greedy.
You get hit by the killer but wanna heal without a medkit or teammate, just go in a corner and use circle of healing.
-
@ScottJund said:
It's certainly strong but it's been triple nerfed to the point of fairness IMO, what more do you want
Circle of healing is the most op and used perk for survivors, but just because its been nerfed its fair?
Why do survivors has to have unlimited advantage againts the weakest killers,m1 ones that actually care about healing.
Circle of healing is like holding a survivor hand,oh dont worry,I got you,you can have unlimited heals for just booning for 14 seconds,if the killer wants to get rid of it,he has to come to this corner of the map and snuff it out,but then dont worry, you can boon it again and again for an unlimited amount of time.
The perk would still be op even it he healing speed was only 35%
They need to put a limit on it,how many time you can use it to heal or a cooldown, its hilarious people use the fact its been nerfed as an excuse.
Its an easy crutch for survivor.

Triple nerfed and still is insanely strong.
Also, you can Self-Heal with it, next to teammate who's working on a Gen. You may have Prove Thyself which for some reason has 4m range.
And that Self-Heal can be with Med-Kit. So imagine 10s Self-Heal (at weakest) and teammate doing Gen 15% faster.
UHHHHH.... I don't think this is even remotely balanced.

I’m curious how people want her nerfed. I do agree she’s powerful, but I also think she’s totally fine base kit, so I believe her add ons need to be nerfed. However, most people seem to think that Nurse needs to be nerfed in a multitude of ways, whether that be her base kit, her add ons, her power needing a complete rework, etc. and I’m curious what people think could be done to make her more fun and balanced.
She can only have 1 blink, and have the addon that reveal where she blinks be basekit.
And after she blinks once, her speed goes to 110m/s for 5 seconds after the exhausting effect.
I'm tired of seeing Nurse be soo op,now she can only be op if you are skilled with her.

Because survivors can never not have something OP taken away from them, or have something strong given to the killer, without getting compensation of some sort. And not the monthly bp compensation BHVR gives all players when they screw up something in the patch. I mean massive balance changes. "Toolboxes lost durability? Must keep the same amount of speed boost, just compressed into a smaller time." "Keys nerfed a year after initial announcement? Must nerf moris a week after initial announcement." "Killers got slight kicking/attack cooldown buffs? Must give survivors BT/Guardian base." Most killers nerfs from the past 2 years though, survivors didn't even lose anything, like with the Clown nerf, Nemesis nerf, or Pinhead nerf.
Now this time it's "Guaranteed flashlight saves from lockers removed? Must appease the survivors somehow." And so that's where the crazy long blind window buff came from. Plenty of unfair flashlight saves were happening already, like from an off-screen survivor or from survivors having horrible timing but getting it anyway, or bogus flashbang blinds. But no, survivors need more ways to make the killer drop a survivor, and force them to go on another chase they don't have time for.
I think flashlights in general are a bad and toxic mechanic, they should make flashlights work differently, flashlights shouldn't be so detrimental to either the killer otheir own team.
Maybe make it so when you flashlight a killer they lose speed for a slow duration.
-
@Devilishly_Rowdy said:
Just because Behavior removed the broken locker save tech, they compensated for that by buffing flashlights saves in general? Why does removing something game breaking need to be compensated for by buffing something else? That's like "yeah we're removing the Blight's hug tech, but to compensate, here's a buff to Blight". As survivor i used to find flashlight saves quite skillful, now even a baby that semi knows the timing can do it.
Because BHVR clearly wants survivor to be the easier role and make it so it takes the least amount of skill possible.

So, my question is why? What is so wrong with the Knight on survivor side that makes people not want to face him?
The lil messaging in the loading screen showing who the killer is only helping the ragers.
Because a lot of Knight abuse bugs and camping with make your choice.
I just had a knight with the luckiest devour hope spawn just camping hooks with his power and make your choice, and of course my soloq teammates didn't know better and rushed for the save.

I still have yet to find eruption not a waste of a perk slot. The killer just doesn't have time to stop chase, and kick gens constantly - not when you have to down survivors in under 20 seconds. Call of Brine is only useful in combination with other regression perks, and honestly I don't find that reliable or should be necessary that Killers should have to stack regression perks to balance the game. Overcharge is an easy skill check, I rarely see Survivors at my mmr bothered by overcharge or oppression.
Yes Pop requires you to hook a survivor, but that's your objective your going to complete anyways, and it lasts long enough to get consistent use from. Compared to eruption, you are sacrificing all your time kicking gens that the survivors are just going to let go just before you down them anyways.
You're absolutely right, eruption looks good on paper, but it feels like a dead perk if you dont already have outpressured survivors, and not have time to go around kicking gens and chase at the same time.
-
I've had games when I used Lethal Pursuer, and the survivors spawned 2 stacked with a gen right next to them, what do I do?
I know that I will lose a gen no matter what, because I have to choose what gens to stop and I know there is not enough time to stop both with 2 survivors finishing it before I can get a down.
And when I reach the generator I want to stop with 2 survivor I have another choice to make,I cant push both of them from the generator, because the second I start chasing 1 of them, the other will get back on that gen and most likely finish it before I get the down.
So I lose 2 gens for 1 hook.
Imagine when you dont use lethal pursuer and dont know the survivor are already 2 stacked on 2 gens, there is a chance to lose 2 gens before you even get in a chase.
Genrushing kills the fun of the game when playing killer and survivor, because you're forced to bring gen slowdown perks, and on top of that you also need tracking perks like lethal pursuer.
And for survivor side is not fun either to just genrush and escape, but its a lot better because you get the W at the end with little to no effort, but a W is a W so most survivor dont mind it.
@Aurelle said:
The funny thing is, you don't. Increasing gens times did absolutely nothing considering they nerfed most gen slowdown perks, left the survivor gen perks alone and handed even more gen perks to survivors. The only way to counter gen rushing is to slug/tunnel/camp and hope for the best.
I highly believe there are some people at BHVR that are 100% survivor biased, they make it seem like they buffed killer, but slowly and silently they turn the tide on the survivor side, hoping no one will notice, that's just **
You cant have a balanced game when there's bias on one side.
Honestly if dbd wasn't one of the only asymetrical game when it launched,it would have suffered the same fate as VHS.
VHS failed because the devs catered too much to survivors and made the monster role miserable while survivors we're overpowered.
@sonata93 said:
I find it funny when I read about people getting gen rushed: where are these super efficient survivors when I play solo-queue? 🤣
On a serious note, I think gen-rushing has become worse since the 6.1 update for two reasons: survivors are even more efficient and conscious of gens due to the increased repair times; and stacked gen slow-down/regression perks became super-meta so survivors are naturally trying to counter game after game of Dead Mans Switch, Pain Res, Eruption, etc. Sure, it is frustrating and is an issue, but it's essentially two sides of the same coin.
One thing that desperately needs changing (and has needed it for a looong time) is gen tapping. I never see people talk about this much but I don't get how it's fair a killer has to commit to the animation to kick and regress gens, yet survivors counter it so damn easily by repairing for a fraction of a second (sometimes right in front of you mid-chase). I think there should be an animation for survivors to 'fix' a regressing gen and it doesn't stop regressing until the animation is complete.
This,I've had games where I was in a chase with a survivor, and they tapped the gen right in front of me and then continued the chase, there was survivor bias in this game since the beginning, you can take a look at old dbd and see just how survivor sided the game was,its a lot better now,but I still think devs want the survivor to be the easier experience with less skill involved and make sure a good team will always win againts the killer because survivor bias.

If OP claims that their Chases were 30 seconds and this twice, they got two Downs in one Minute. This is faster than one Gen needs to complete, let alone that one one Survivor is hooked, it is very unlikely that 3 Survivors are still doing Gens. Ideally you end up with 1 Survivor doing Gens, because you have one person hooked, one going for the rescue and one who is being chased.
Claiming that the chases only took 30 seconds is just wrong. If the chases were that fast, 3 Gens would not pop. Unless OP is going against like 6 Survivors.
You do realise that after you get a down, you have to walk all the way to the generator that is being repaired, and most of the times, have to guess which generator to check first.
If you check the wrong one,you waste just enough time for it to be finished.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
I am very sure that your Chases are not that short when 3 Gens pop.
But this is a common thing in the DBD-Community - Killers ALWAYS end Chases in under 30 seconds and still lose and Survivors ALWAYS get chased for 5+ minutes and still lose. And both obviously say the truth, because it is on the internet. /s
Yeah, its a skill issue from the killer from not being in a chase, downing survivors, protect gens at the same time,my bad.
And survivors are very skilled for holding m1 on a gen all game and hiding in bushes, its the killer fault for not being able to do everything at once.
/s
Also I am very sure should be translated to = I am assuming this guy actually has 3 minutes chases until he downs a survivor when I clearly stated the chase doesn't last more than 30-1 minutes which is considered a very good chase time considering you play a killer that has to deal with pallets or loops.
-
@RainehDaze said:
Accept those first gens are gone and pray they didn't immediately destroy a 3gen you can actually protect.
Which... is the problem. If you try for anything more than playing around with chases, slowdown is obligatory, and playing nasty is required. You have to get rid of someone if you want any endgame scenario to play out in your favour without 20 minutes of back and forth attrition with multiple regression perks.
Yeah, pretty much this, you either have 5 minutes games because gens fly,or 20 minutes gens because protecting gens is better than chasing.
I had a game againts a Pig yesterday that refused to chase, and somehow my teammates get downed on death hook at 1 gen with 4 alive,if my teammates didn't play so carelessly we would have all escaped but the game lasted more than 20 minutes and it was boring af.

It's a self-answering question, if you think about it. They didn't have to bolt everything onto an existing game (although main DBD has been very slow to adopt some good ideas)
You could also say BHVR had a lot of time to implement all those things, but didn't.

But its boring not being able to get any other type of rewards, you get bps,you spend on items, trials are inexistent for me.
It would be cool to get some variety every game.

- Eyrie of Crows offering.
They instantly gave up when I started camping when some were running around and others were doing totems.
Imagine I played anyone but Nurse or Blight.

Cool, hope you also enjoy not playing a game because a survivor dcs or kills themselves on hook, truly an amazing experience playing a busted killer with next to no counter.
Nurse is the most boring killer in the game after you get good with her, because survivors cant do anything about it and you always win, good job by winning aubsing a hilariously broken killer that baffles me its still has not been properly adressed.

If you have more than 1 survivor hovering you for a flashlight save then you should be happy that they're not doing gens. If you really believe that flashlights "have no counter" than just cope and run lightborn
You're joking right?
You literally cant tell if a survivor is nearby, and especially how easy flashlight saves are now you just aim to aim the flashlight to the killer face, even from bigger distance now,and with addons is even easier.
You just have to waste even more time as killer looking around for 30 seconds just to make sure no one is around, but wait, someone was and they we're just hiding, and not only you waste a lot of time, but you dont get the hook either.
So spare me with killers have to be aware, you cant tell if an uninjured survivor is close if they hide.

So what, the the survivors should just stay in the open when chased, and they cant be hooked, Imagine going to Coldwind Farm vs a flashlight SWF.
Ah yes, reward bad plays of survivors running around with a flashlight and easily get it now and punish smart plays from the killer, makes sense.
Flashlights did not need to be made easier, now survivors dont even need to get good at the game to get a flashlight save.
It just dumbs down the game, survivors we're already struggling to improve at the game unlike killers, making it even easier is not gonna help.

And with the killers is the same, they too are forced to bring slowdown agains gen-rush SWF.
I'm not saying why,and that is the problem, survivor dont have to do anything else and killers are forced to bring full regression perks to stand a chance of getting decent pressure before all gens are done .

I have no idea where you have the concept that survivor has gotten easier? They have literally made survivor nigh unplayable against certain killers. Anti loop killers just ruins the fun of playing survivor and you're just holding W but I see killers always complain about holding W yet y'all play those killers.
Solo que is a friekin travesty at this point. You are stuck with a killer that just gets easy kills, not because they are good, but because the survivors just hide all game and maybe do gens while you yourself are tunneled out of the game because you're not crouch walking against the walls like the rest of the team.
How is the killer fault your teammates play bad??

Flashlights were the weakest items in the game and the killer has to misplay in order for them to even be effective
The buffer is great for newer players and good for higher latency matches where pulling off a save is way harder
No they we're not the weakest, they we're high risk high reward, now they are no risk, high reward, because you can blind the killer from the silliest angles and still get the save,I was literally facing the wall and I still got blinded because the survivor got 1 frame right.

Sure there is the skill level there but I wouldn't go as far as to say she is "Insanely hard" to master.
Yeah she is not, once you play a few matfches and get a feel to where the blinks go,it becomes insanely easy and survivors cant do anything about it.

She's insanely hard to master, with extremely easy to learn counters. It's not like you are actually having a problem against her?
I missed the part where Nurse is a fair killer with counterplay.
@Huge_Bush said:
Never. They actually rewrote her code so she works better. They’re never going to rework her or gut her like all the whiners on here want them to.
If there is one thing players have reason to whine about, its the fact Nurse is in the game.

@RainehDaze said:
Because some people play her a lot and they don't want to lose those players?
What?so you think having a broken killer is better that lose some players that just abuse her power?

Nurse counterplay is killing yourself on hook then coming here and spam threads about nerfing Nurse.
Maybe one day BHVR will actually you know, listen to the community.
I have no empaty for this killer and I do not wanna play againts her ever, matches are boring and no matter how good you play,it still feels like its not enough for a killer that all she has to do is blink on you then you go down.

With the previous maps being Garden Of Joy and Eyrie Of Crows, and maps like Gideon still existing, my guess is this was intentional.
They sure know how to make maps that are survivor sided. And then leave them like that, very nice they always have in mind the 4 survivors and killer is just an afterthought.

Because the bug isn’t game breaking like other map issues such as spots where you can’t be hooked
The map is functional just spawning too much pallets
No its not, there's also extra junk spawning on it that makes infinite loops, this map is literally the most unbalanced map in the game for killers.

Boon here, boon there, boon every ######### where. Killers have no choice but to use Shattered Hope (or other perks like Hex: Thrill of the Hunt) to fight against Boon spam. This becomes even more detrimental against schmuck SWF sweat squads. Isn't it just better to give killers two choices? Either 1. break the boon totem or 2. cleanse the boon totem to a dull totem.
I actually start to feel bad. I might start using a cleansing totem build as survivor out of pity.
shattered hope is a bad choice to use, because there are games where its an useless perk
They need to make it so after snuffing a boon, the survivor has a cooldown until they can boon again.
So many times I snuff a boon, and its instantly back, what is this?
Or just make it so after you snuff out a boon, the second time you do it break the totem

Boons should be once and done, just like for the killer. Killers sees a boom that totem is done for good.
I agree, survivors should only be able to boon a hex or dull totem once,so you can boon a maximum of 5 times but different totems.
