sucks being a console player sometimes...I genuinely don't understand why bhvr wastes an addon slot on trickster to give them a crosshairs they know people want and need rather than give them a setting so they don't need 3rd party programs

It's all subjective.
You think the Nurse is boring, but for me she is my favorite killer to face in the game.
I used to not mind her before all these auras perks; Nowhere to Hide is exactly when I started to despise Nurse and Blight
I loved abusing them with Fixated
-
I don't want to dislike him...being able to distract him easily is nice I dont mind showing some initiative but games seem to devolve into Chicken where he just plays chess, like he may chase me a bit and realize "oh this guys using funny Nic Cage perk I'm never chasing him again" now he just holds his gens and if he jump scares me he'll just go "oops wrong guy" and immediately turn tail.
this guy is the new skull merchant and is completely acceptable but super saiyan m1 killer Skull Merchant 2 isn't it kinda bothers me
-
I wanted to grind, but there was too much going on in Rivals and a buddy has been forcing me to play Nazi zombies so I haven't played as much as I'd have liked but I got about 20 prestige on my Cenobite.
you'd think for how much I identify with the killer role id have a p100 killer but it just made more sense to level up survivors so I could flex my prestige (RIP prestige meaning something all because this community is scared of a challenge and only wants to bully people they know are weaker)
I might play some more soon once regular queue comes back because I'm hoping to hit p100 before the Hellraiser Revival comes out

I agree, it was very refreshing being able to play something new, I also appreciated having counters to more unsavory strategies and gameplay. I'm going to miss the event for sure.
However, when people say they want 'secondary objectives' they really just mean a survivor nerf that allows them to secure more kills when tunneling/camping. It has nothing to do with bettering the survivor experience by giving a high-risk high-reward bonus goal.this isn't necessarily true because some of us enjoy having shiny things dangled in front of us; I enjoyed Sadako 2, I spend half my games faffing about on Animatronic doors and Pinheads my favourite killer in the game....some of us enjoy a break from chases and gens
-
I wanted to like the event, but I got the invisibility way too much, like 3x in a row was enough to make me crash out. I don't think RNG tables are it either if you're gonna create something with love and care you should handcraft that kind of stuff because I had tables literally right next to the cart when I played survivor it just felt cheesy
-
id say just don't bring the event back, period. It's just Masquerade 2.
-
he's ok and has some great synergies but definitely an overrated killer based on his performance against uncoordinated and unaware survivors. Struggles immensely against coordinated teams. Some games even hitting every chain doesn't matter and all your power is worth is forcing one person to grab the box once in a while. Basically trapless Trapper with free respawning hexes.
With the plethora of healing perks, aura perks, stealth perks and Finesse it can be tough to generate or maintain pressure as a glorified Clown.
that doesn't sound very inspiring but I like m1 killers as a self identified Legion main so just having the Box to force somebody to do something for 15 seconds is nice in my books. It won't matter most of the match, but there'll be times a survivor has to give up on a save or finishing a generator in order to deal with it. So if you can find a way to finally overwhelm the survivors, you can make it harder for them to ever recover
-
Balanced Landing is map dependent however I have a build I enjoy on Freddy which is Surge, All Shaking Thunder, Gift of Pain and Jagged Compass.
Jagged Compass will make the highest progress generator turn yellow so you teleport to it while falling off something so you arrive with a bigger lunge.
-
Springtrap is beautiful and handsome and his actors having fun; Jason's design is eh so there's that.
-
when I see the baked camembert I immediately regret booting up the game

can they still make changes to a killer they don’t have the license for?
yes; Demogorgon received nerfs when Xenomorph released
-
Chucky is fun but sometimes really bad. Singularity is really good but sometimes really boring. You will get survivors who wait for EMPs and use them very well. Plague is strong and can be fun if you enjoy m1 killers. tends to be a strong niche meta counterpick. She helped get me through CoH/Shadowstep era
Id personally go for Chuck between the 3

I do really hope they can get Parasite Eve. Its been quite a while but even their last game had such licensing issues they weren't even allowed to call it Parasite Eve 3
seriously?? I had wondered about that way back when

Lich. Probably because he's my main and just want to see if i'm better playing against him then i am playing as him.
i ask myself that too, but Lich is quite literally a die roll killer I swear some games are just doomed to fail as Lich. I load in and get eaten by a chest, but I play Lich and get a comp Ace who rolls the Hand and spends the entire match getting in my face and perfectly playing around with the Hand. That thing made me crash out and go mentally unstable that I adopted a "no Hand, no Problem" policy where I'll never allow a Hand user to escape.

Was it always on their lists or was this the first time it showed up?
it's showed up at least once in a survey before. Parasyte, AoT and Scooby Doo have always been my selections
-
I'm just gonna keep asking for Parasyte like I always do
-
you can't even practice anything as unknown because even with unforeseen+ Weave the bots are looking at you from entirely different floors like on Midwich.
-
I don't mind it; it makes the legion at least have LoS if they want to start with their power which limits their range, and allows the survivor to outplay them if they are healthy. a fair trade for an easy injury power.
seeing blood would be nice though
-
second chance means nothing to me because the term itself is meant to be derogatory.
people get upset but if we weren't meant to account for all gens being done or being killed off then the game would just end when the gens pop or survivors die instantly like MLO but that's not how the game works. 4 survivors being alive in the end game is a realistic scenario and there's nothing wrong for wanting to prepare for that. I'm not always interested in "first chance" perks like Lethal/Corrupt or "Homer Simpson with his fat rolls scrunched back with chip clips" builds like full hex builds. I like to please the Entity by offering her quality over quantity, and moring a 0 hook survivor with Rancor is peak.
I've had situations where killers were confused why I said "gg nice bloodwarden play" because all they get is salt. We all have 4 perk slots, we can do what we want with them. There is no right or wrong way to perk up. I personally love using end game builds on Springtrap because it gives me practice with no regression to sharpen my game sense but it gives me peace of mind to preserve my mentals for the worst games I could have (being bullied on Badham, for example)
There have been times where 2nd chance has been overtuned, but that's all perks. NOED is a nothingburger these days ever since we got the aura bloom on the totem. That was a cool nerf without actually touching the perk.

What if there was no separate killer and survivor queues? What if everyone picked both a survivor and killer loadout and the game just picked from the 5 players in the lobby who gets to be killer this round. That would do away with survivor or killer mains since everyone has the same play time on both roles and can really understand what both sides are like.
I wouldn't be opposed to trying it. Only issue I can think of as a F13 refugee is that this is how you get teamers and people quitting if they don't get killer. it's harder to call out here because you can be in an Xbox party and rat out your team
-
@Abbzy said:
I dont think it will be welcomed, like few 2v8 before they tried something like this that so for shorter queue times 1-2 bots were added to lobby and survivors hated it (for obvious reasons) so I doubt it will be welcomed in 1v4 format.
i genuinely hated that era of 2v8 as killer; bots have wallhacks and can't be mind gamed, so chases are boring because you have to brute force. that's so boring and sometimes terrible for some killers so I ignore them.
if you ignore bots, you're a sweaty tryhard. However, if you target the bots you're also a tryhard. I did not like being put in that catch 22
-
that'd just make him even more boring imo; there's a slight sense of dread when you close the locker because correct me if I'm wrong, nobody plays Dredge in current year but if you lock the locker at the same time he teleports you'll get grabbed. Locking lockers have pros and cons such as being useful for later vs Dredge being able to freely break them so there's some angles to consider.
Dredge could use something but not that imo
-
Ive had some fun matches but it seems to have lower lows for both sides, with the added fun usually being zero sum and coming at the expense of the other side.
Playing Pinhead I just get embarrassed and feel lucky with 1k then I switch to Bubba and then it flips around to me having everybody death hook at 5 gens.

I have plenty of hot takes but the one that's probably gained me the most down votes is defending Legion's inclusion in 2V8. I still think they belong in 2V8.
I've argued my case enough times here already, so I won't go over all that again. I'll just say BHVR did them dirty by removing them (mostly, imo, for the sins of much stronger Killers in the mode) and they barely even tried to make Legion work and leave it at that.
I see you getting blasted but thank you for sticking to your guns. I really didn't think they were an issue with the fast mending I actually enjoyed being the first one in the frenzy chain. they were more fun to face than Wraith or Oni imo
their removal is why I started advocating for adding Ghoul

his possessed chain barely deserves to be called a power, thats my only gripe with him. his chain hunts go hard
that's probably exactly what the problem is, nobody knows the box better than a Pinhead main and if Hellraiser 2 is anything to go by, we don't get along.
Better possessed chain logic or not being able to break your own chains could go a long way for managing Cenobite frustration...we do find pleasure in pain but even we have our limits
-
I miss playing sadako 1 a lot, but unpopular opinion I didn't mind facing Sadako 2 just for the variety. She really shouldn't just be left the way she is right now
-
I thought Shane was just the "yeah, we know you guys wanted Tommy but this was the best we could do" survivor.

Im not sure what the cheryl/james abomination skin has to do with having 2 seperate survivors lol
hey, that's kinda rude! Jeryl was my main T_T Cheryl is still my #1 most played survivor by a country mile because of them/it.
-
it's a shame because we only get the same amount of addons per killer so we are basically being denied what could be fun content. Addons are what spice up the gameplay. Imagine if a new survivor had a permanently killswitched perk that's basically how I feel.
-
the world needs more Cenos, Xenos, Liches, Springtraps and Unknowns.
I don't remember the last time I met a Cenobite that didn't DC. I enjoy the killer so much but facing them makes me feel like Mark from Invincible "I thought you were stronger!"
-
I miss lightburn on nurse and wraith.
-
people say he needs skill but yall would regret that if cutoff playstyle is meant to be normal. suddenly that'd be toxic and oppressive.
I don't think its inherently an issue that a killer does things the opposite way where they get easy initiations but struggle to end the chase. on the survivor end yeah it's no fun getting hit by a "cheap, easy hit" but this is an asymmetrical game and on my end, it's not fun or really skillful to pre run every killer into God loops and hold checkspots.
Kanekis struggle against those efficient survivors but at least they get some Bloodpoints and turn off their precious Finesse. Guy is just Legion 2. Oppressive against Self Care warriors but struggles when people don't care about being injured.
I just enjoy getting m1 downs while everybody is bloody and moaning (im a Legion main, howd ya know?)and idc if that makes me a bad person.
Pinhead takes 5000x more skill than any other killer and his chase is more oppressive than Ghouls and yet all I get for it is a struggle to secure an injury some days.
-
I had a 5 gen on Azarovs once as Pinhead; my box even spawned in the middle of it. I loaded in, and immediately went "wow, I have no reason to ever leave, do I?"
rng just shouldn't exist for map design.
-
I have an agenda here but please, never help out with Invocations. The sentiment is nice, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. In a perfect world I'd trust you and let you finish the invocation so I can leverage my health state by taking a hit, but fact is you can't trust Randoms to not let go and run off. And more traffic to the basement increases your odds of being followed, and the killer is going to struggle to find people and may wander to the basement. Like, please, I enjoy using No Mither so that's already incredibly sus.
it's the same kind of frustration as people rushing to pick you up with Plot Twist
-
I never play dbd unless I'm half comatose and severely medicated so that helps. I also run builds that make it easy to pin the blame on.
For example, I love EndTrap so I can always blame lack of regression for my own failures. Instead, I make a goal I try to achieve on a match, such as getting a delicious Rancor play. Sure, I may go many matches without a Rancor kill but trying is part of the fun.
I only got 1 Rancor kill on the weekend, poor girl thought she was juicing me but I hid my aura. Last gen nearly popped, so I played dumb and let them do the gen since a Cheryl was fishing for a flashy save. Gen pops, I mori the Obsession and Cheryl clicks at Me and tbags my mori. I love that silliness in dbd! Little did she know I had Noed+ None Are Free so she was just a free kill in a situation where that was a free escape. Those moments are what keep me grinding to farm more of.
-
didn't even think of that, oof. She still hasn't recovered from gaining chase music imo

I'm kinda softlocked into playing jason after survs figured the event out. At the start i played a lot of demodoggo, but i got traumatized after survivors built me an unbreakable house on midwich and held me in my kennel for three minutes before i had a fews seconds to break.
any thoughts on Vecna? He can fly over pallets, and has addons to exhaust with his orb as well as break survivors
-

they also need to allow the toggle of some lobby animations because if I have another Eddie Munson start playing a riff louder than Kaneki screaming and bowing smugly I'm actually going to lose my mind
that sounds like terrible noise pollution. not gonna lie, Eddie scared me the first time.

I'm against the herd on this one. At first I hated it but I've come to love it, I just needed to find the right killers and the right tactics to use the survivor hyper-aggression and toys against them. I honestly wish they'd extend it. I get to skip the Jason line and win basically all my matches.
I can tolerate it as long as I don't see the baked Camembert
-
depends, honestly. In general no I won't.
I despise Pain Res and DMS so you'll never see me run those. However, nothing will part me from my precious Mindbreaker.
I swear, Mindbreaker conjured itself in every match I equip Fogwise.
-
I can't take Rick seriously he honest to God sounds like he ate some suspicious Taco Bell and he's emptying his guts on the hook.
-
pre running comp players did not need these portals. Invisibility is so ridiculous when chase music is too loud.
TRY FINDING SURVIVOR'S WHILE LISTENING TO HENRY'S CHASE MUSIC AAAAAA
-
why would anybody do that? AIs hallucinate and say incorrect things with confidence.
I have my own AI (autistic intelligence) so you could just ask me instead. If I were to hallucinate, at least I'll be flagged with downvotes. Was there a build you wanted feedback on? Or did you have a personal story with AI you'd like to share?
-
the games a bit more competitive right now because the event adds frustrating elements to both sides, but that's where the casuals are. You can try and be Einstein and be outdone by a viber who placed a plate on a table. However, if you go to regular queue that's where the sweats who want to play regular dbd will go.
Best advice I can give right now is to surrender to the event and metagame it. Play killers and use addons that can keep up in a mode where everybody can insta heal, become invincible, teleport, become invisible, be hasted, get speed boosted and reset every pallet on the map and make them Unbreakable.
For example, on Vecna I never use his Vorpal Sword but right now it's coming in clutch. Leatherface is a demon. Legion and Plague are both good etc.
But I do understand how you feel, the games sped up drastically the past few years.
-
call me naive but I'm hopeful we'll see him again in a couple years. Maybe at least 2-3 years.
So far we've managed to get back Stranger Things and Attack on Titan.
-
he seems like a reactive killer who does nothing unless the survivors do something. in a solo q setting that's a recipe for a game of chicken.
if 4 survivors decided to just play for the server close Jason will still never leave their gens/totems
-
I have seen it like twice but idk if it did anything. If this perk is not the nerfed one then I think the reaction to the perk was overblown and it's fine as it is. I don't personally agree with the overall direction of balance the past while, I don't think Cross Examination is a problem when we have Extrasensory Perception and that perks been forgotten already.
-
congrats!
playing a lot of Merchant will probably make you pop off on other killers once you get to use real powers. Those poor survivors won't stand a chance
