Suggested Kaneki changes.

The Ghoul is a very difficult killer to balance.
Fundamentally, his first hit is always much stronger than the second hit so making his second hit stronger or weaker will define his balance.
But I think he could become the new Wesker, the definition of a balanced killer, especially for this current era of DBD where about 75% of the killer roster is not a viable choice.

But I have a few buff and nerf suggestions that I think will help Kaneki.

Buffs:
—Increase leap range to 18 meters (Was 16)
—Decrease leap cooldown after a bite to 6 seconds (Was 8 seconds)

Nerfs:
—Decrease bite range to 10 meters (Was 16)
—Remove the pallet vault
—Reduce reticle stickiness to the point where the auto aim is gone
—Stop Kaneki holding the survivor in place after a bite.

This is a lot of fair nerfs, making his skill floor a little higher while making the cutoff playstyle easier. There are some compensation buffs, too, I love this killer and don’t want to see him gutted.
This is my suggestion, changing the idea of “Kaneki is hard to balance because his first hit is always much stronger than the second hit so making his second hit stronger or weaker will define his balance.” It makes the second hit a tiny bit easier while making the first hit much less free. It buffs his map mobility, making getting into chase easier, while his chase is weaker to compensate.

Thoughts? And not just “booo, Ghoul” because that’s a waste of everyone’s time.

  • The crayon consumer needs his free injure completely removed and his mobility buffed. Another possible tier-up for a fourth leap could be an option.

Also, his crayon-fueled power hitbox going over three tiles and four walls needs to be adjusted heavily.

Lastly, old legion left click spam shouldn't be a thing. If you misclick while aiming your leap and you don't target a valid leap point, you loose your power. I think trying it without a fatigue first to get a feel is fine, but a fatigue as punishment for power misuse could be a possible nerf after my rework suggestions.

  • people say he needs skill but yall would regret that if cutoff playstyle is meant to be normal. suddenly that'd be toxic and oppressive.

I don't think its inherently an issue that a killer does things the opposite way where they get easy initiations but struggle to end the chase. on the survivor end yeah it's no fun getting hit by a "cheap, easy hit" but this is an asymmetrical game and on my end, it's not fun or really skillful to pre run every killer into God loops and hold checkspots.

Kanekis struggle against those efficient survivors but at least they get some Bloodpoints and turn off their precious Finesse. Guy is just Legion 2. Oppressive against Self Care warriors but struggles when people don't care about being injured.

I just enjoy getting m1 downs while everybody is bloody and moaning (im a Legion main, howd ya know?)and idc if that makes me a bad person.

Pinhead takes 5000x more skill than any other killer and his chase is more oppressive than Ghouls and yet all I get for it is a struggle to secure an injury some days.

The issue with ghoul is, that he has an oüpressive chase power AND a free injure. Prompt stealing, body blocking and formula one pallet vaulting is a thing.

  • Why nerf Ghoul when we have Jason?

I feel like people would have issues going against "Blight 2" as well though. Blight just got nerfed to 4.4, people would demand the same from Kaneki.
