I really like the idea making it harder to get to the higher ranks. And yes, rank doesn't really matter so I'm definitely not crying about deranking etc. But what I have a problem with is (and maybe it was already the case prior to this change): I got chased the whole round. As someone who plays solo survivor and killer, playing solo survivor has been dreadful. You got the people who are over immersed, people tebagging and just messing around, and lately a huge amount of people who dc after getting downed for the first time. I just cant understand this new ranking system, I do understand that the development team want to make some change and make a more balance ranking system. However, as a rank 1 killer before, I find out that the new ranking system is totally not reasonable. After playing a few dozen games I would say this depipping system is definitely broken for both Survivors and Killers. Killers getting anything above a Black Pip against an organized 4man SWF is basically a pipe dream unless they royally screw up or troll (This is where all the forum love of "Survivors are still OP etc etc comes from"). For the entity's sake. It takes 5+ mins to get a match as killer. I am afk and waiting for the game to start to realise that 3 survivors immediately DC after I loaded into the match. They had steam names like "Plague or Legion = DC". This is unacceptable. Disconnecting and rage DCing is still not being punished and those entitled survivors ruin our gaming experience. It is clear that the mid chapter patches are not cutting it as far as bug fix patches. We should not have to deal with massive game breaking issues for months and months to still not have them get fixed such as infinite loading screens and massive frame rate drops. There's been a lot of discussion about adding a second objective so why not use the unlit totems? My proposal is that gen times be increased from 80 seconds to complete to 105 seconds to complete. Now before anybody grabs the pitch forks this is where totems come into play. Got the game for PS4 off the free month, PS plus thing, and it had a few extra killers in it. Loved it, wanted to come on the PC and put some time in, but the price tag of $6.99 for each killer requires quite a bit invested to have a fully unlocked product, with more and more killers costing the same. Survivors don't like fellow Survivors who do nothing but stealth around and not keep the Killer busy, not repairing, not healing, etc. Killers don't like them hiding forever so they can't be found for dozens of minutes. (And running Whispers is such a bandaid fix to that.) All around the add ons for killers in the game are simply too basic. It's really starting to just hurt the core gameplay where every killer needs to be add on reliant to do a single thing in the game. The only killer that changes drastically with add ons is Daddy Myers. No hooks (although I did hook a couple of them because I was getting bored with how long the trial lasted).
