Best advice I have heard was from Swarm. “If the killer is 3 gen locking from the start and you’re in soloQ, just go next” Literally the best thing I’ve been doing. So I have added DS back to my build these last couple of weeks and although it has been nerfed too severely imo, I have been getting a great deal of value. I'm not pairing it with off the record, my typical build is windows/kindred/DS/dh or overcome. Most of my value has come from hard tunnelers with STBL. Had a Kate flame me in end game chat after I decided the game wasn’t going anywhere and prioritised pips over completing a 3rd gen. After getting downed twice, maxing chase, and realising my two remaining teammates weren’t doing gens. The only gens that were done, were the two I did, while the 3rd teammate got tunneled out of match. I decided to heal up, do two totems and open chests. i1 comments 161 views last activity

So my final game today ended after a Pinhead decided to slug me after I waved for him to go ahead and down me when I realized I had no pallets around. His ego must have been hit hard as he didn't feel "in control" because of my actions and therefore I was deserving of being slugged for 4 minutes. I know, events bring out the worst, but it’s usually one side going hard against the other.. I had a match I got tunneled for being a double digit prestige(killer told that’s why he tunneled) and I got max chase very early and ran him for a bit longer after that. Zero gens went. I got pallet saved and ran him again for a bit. Zero gens again. I had a Nemmie complained that I gave up and went next after he tunneled someone out at 5 gens. He had four slowdown perks and the survivor was new he tunneled. I left after a long chase when my teammates decided to do totems/chests and weren’t on gens. My duo partner waited for hatch for a challenge which she did not get cause the nemmie slugged for the 4k. I have spent all my gaming time today trying to get this. Either I’m one hooked/tunneled out, get unhooked at the gate and can’t really run to the hatch, The worst case was when all gens were done a Meg waited until last second to leave the gate and I died by the entity. So I’ve had killers argue and streamers argue that don’t tunnel when it’s very clear they very much do. It’s a semantic argument of the « tunneling is one person » and « I hooked someone between your hooks » Heres the thing: I had a Nemesis with starstruck who downed person A, went a hooked them and noticed with the Wesker perk person B hiding. Today I had two matches where I downed and camped till second stage. Both times the killer lost me after I got unhooked. I got as far away as possible, healed and most importantly kept low. One match doing a super safe gen away from the action and another utilising the hud to keep my distance from a legion hiding. I’ve made a few observations recently in my matches and how they could have played out differently even with the tools that we have now that my teammates just aren’t utilising. First prioritising gens seems to be the most difficult part but that’s definitely not the only issue with gens. So I think I finalized my go to build on survivor that works the best for me. Dead Hard - cause it's both nice to pull off and can extend chases. Off the Record - I’d love to not have this perk but I get constant value from it in nearly all of my matches. Bond - Perfect to know where to avoid during a chase or if someone is chasing toward you. Been on both ends of matches clearly over and my teammates cannot let a survivor go even when it’s very clear the match isn’t going anywhere…. Especially when the person saving the survivor giving up isn’t doing gens. Today a nurse kept two of us slugged at all times. 3 games in a row where I was on the floor till I almost bled out cause the killer wanted a 4k so bad. when I play killer I find this also annoying looking for one person across a map which is why I just hook. so I keep saying this perk on every killer…. And with the exception of legion and plague.. it’s not really great for the others. Had a Sadako have it as their only slowdown. She got 1 hook, and at no point was more than one person injured if at all. So today I played 10 matches as I planned to finish our survivor challenges and I noticed very early on… I was winning all my survivor matches. 7 out of 10 escapes, 8 gates powered …. ? i changed up my build to de ja vu, pts, overcome and off the record. So I played 14 matches the last two days and I survived only one. I was one hooked 8 times, two hooked 3 and only twice to get I get 3 hooked. The matched I survived I did 4 gens, the matches the gens completed I did 3-4 gens only to die to either a slugfest or just caught finishing the last gen. So today I had three matches where I had an angry teammate at end game chat. A lot of it had to do with miscommunication but also the strategy vs being a "team" player(as told to me today). Two of those matches my teammates were angry about "not hook trading" and the other not going for a save at egc. The ladder the argument was "I was in chase, you should have saved."
