If a survivor is downed, you can hit them with chains as if they were standing i.e. the chains will hit high in the air. This is noticeably bad when someone is healing a downed survivor because you can very easily accidentally hit the downed survivor when you are clearly aiming for the other survivor.0 comments 1 views last activity

I came to this realization after going from rank 9 to rank 1 in 2 days with Clown a while back. I realized that all you have to do to get rank 1 is not tunnel, which gives you a hook on different survivors, and apply at least some form of gen control. Running PGTW will suffice in most games. As long as the game goes long enough, you won't depip with 0-1 kills and you will pip with 2 kills. I don'14 comments 451 views last activity

When this bug happens, the survivor and killer can hear the sound Nurse makes when she initially charges a blink. This sound plays every 0.1 seconds causing ear ######### for everyone. Additionally, the Nurse cannot blink. You have to wait 15 seconds for the bug to stop happening. This bug has been in the game ever since dedicated servers were released. I am not entirely sure how to reproduce it0 comments 11 views last activity

Preface: I am a killer main Pyramid Head changes: good. The cooldown on Punishment of the Damned was far too punishing to make risky reads. It would often be considered a bad play if you used it outside of guaranteed scenarios. This change will make it more fun on both sides. Survivors will feel less like they have no choice. Killers have more freedom with their power. Trail of Torment: actuall0 comments 31 views last activity

Wait until Blight is 0.3 seconds away from getting into attack range Run left or right diagonally into him without hesitation or delay This strategy works because of 2 reasons. He has a forced extended lunge and his turn rate is absolutely atrocious (no turning addons). Due to this, Blight has a very specific range, which lasts about 0.2 sec, where he can get a guaranteed on hit the survivor0 comments 182 views last activity

This stuff happens fairly frequently with Plague but this is the most blatant I have seen.13 comments 451 views last activity

According to the Wiki ( https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Compound_Thirty-Three ), there is nothing in the code that modifies the break time to 1.5 sec, so it takes 2.5 sec.0 comments 11 views last activity

Here's what the toxic swfs do. 3-4 survivors hide and do not work on any generators at all until they see the killer or their terror radius appear. 10 seconds after the killer leaves, they start working on the generator because the killer has to leave to check other generators since there were no indicators of any survivors there. The problem with this is the killer usually won't find any survivo53 comments 4,141 views last activity

I tried to make Clown work. Asides from a Redhead's Pinky Finger build, this killer is complete garbage. The fact that most chases on a healthy survivor take 1 minute and Clown has nothing else but chase hurts my brain. You can't have a killer that has nothing else in their kit but chase be so bad at chasing that they might as well be an M1 killer.7 comments 141 views last activity

The alternative to being slugged is being hooked. So why is it better to be hooked? Whether you are on the hook or ground, you are doing nothing either way.22 comments 332 views last activity

I find this annoying as a Nurse. It's not rare that I slug all 4 survivors with having 0-2 hooks before. After doing the math, I've found that in the worst case scenario, there is a 38.7% chance that at least 1 survivor escapes off the hook. Here's the math: there's a 4% chance to escape off the hook and you get 3 attempts, so the odds that a single survivor escapes is 1-0.96^3 = 11.5%. Now there66 comments 3,551 views last activity

I don't think there is much reason to play Demogorgon while Pyramid Head exists since PH's ranged attack is just Shred that can hit through walls. Demogorgon is also a slightly below average killer imo. Otz also thinks he is a C tier killer ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNwZmT3ei5M&t=3324s ). I think he deserves some buff. Adding Deep Wound to Demogorgon's Shred would actually be really g15 comments 271 views last activity

For a Hex perk, its strength is fairly low. 16 m isn't really much at all. The survivor is almost able to run 16 m in the time it takes for you to recover from a hit, so they would be out of that range shortly after you have recovered. It also only blocks pallets, so they still have access to windows to stall for the 15 seconds of pallet blocking. The effect is also wasted if you hit an already i54 comments 1,771 views last activity

It might just be me but I feel that Spirit is a pub stomper and weak killer against rank 1-2 survivor teams post-nerf but I could just be bad at her. I am not looking to argue whether she is good or not. I just want to see a rank 1 Spirit main that can consistently 3-4k.3 comments 191 views last activity

The logic is simple. If survivors think a perk that increases healing speeds by 33% isn't worth running why would it be worth running a perk that only reduces healing speeds by 20%?19 comments 441 views last activity

Megs on PC were slightly below average but Megs on console. LOL. This must have been where the Meg Head meme originated from. Every console Meg I have played against so far has amused me with how bad they were. Any other PC players experienced this?10 comments 371 views last activity

I have found that I can actually see players doing generators now with BBQ and Chilli. Before it was nearly impossible but now I can see them at least 70% of the time. The new auras also look far more aesthetically pleasing. They show more detail and that seems to fit the horror aspect of this game more. The only downside of the new auras is that survivors stand out less but that hasn't stopped m13 comments 251 views last activity

Why? It turns a casual game into a competitive game. As a game gets more competitive, it becomes more toxic and unbalanced things start to get abused more. Competitive games usually have a meta. What if the high MMR meta just becomes all keys and Object of Obsessions? I just play DBD for fun and don't care about rank much. I don't want to sweat hard every game. I think this change would put less pressure and importance on killers to get as many kills as possible. I think DBD intended the match results to mean such: Entity displeased = lost Brutal killer = average/tied Ruthless = good Merciless = excellent The problem is survivors don't see the killer's match result at all. The only thing see they see are the kills, so they would see it like: 0-1 k2 comments 421 views last activity

When I play during 7-9 pm, I get the sweatiest rank 1 swf groups. After 10 pm, the survivors are barely trying to win. Gens go way slower. Some survivors don't look behind them. It's no exageration to say the games are half as difficult. It might be because survivors get too lazy to try when it gets late and it's much easier to organize a swf during 7-9 pm.6 comments 51 views last activity

Phase Walk and Frenzy are comparable. Both give speed boosts, have a long cooldown, and achieve 1 damage state on a single survivor. The difference is Legion's Frenzy has 0 counterplay. He can see the survivor, vault windows and pallets, and know exactly where the survivors are with killer instinct. Basically once he goes into Frenzy and the survivor is within range that hit is guaranteed. Spirit30 comments 502 views last activity

Basically, if someone drops a pallet on Pyramid Head while he is placing his sword into the ground from the M2, he will come out of the stun with the sword on the ground and be at the slowed movement speed for the rest of the game. I think this happened as a result of the attempt to fix the pallet stun avoid bug.2 comments 171 views last activity

Shock Therapy's Area of Effect becomes a ring, placed 8 metres in front of The Doctor, with an outer radius of 4.2 metres and an inner radius of 3 metres . Since it is a ring, is it a circle around Doc, meaning it can hit behind him? Also what does the outer and inner radius mean?6 comments 201 views last activity

It's clear that they are normalizing the strength of killers. Weak killers are getting buffed. Top killers got nerfed. This is good because this lets them buff perks without making it too strong on the top killers and not needing to make it too strong for it to be good on weak killers. For example, a perk that requires downs might not be that good on a weak killer but on a top killer that can dow0 comments 21 views last activity

All of the perks have been brough up to a decent or good level. Tinkerer seems to be strong. It will make defending 3 gens much easier and killers that can traverse the map quickly can defend gens before they pop. The new Knock Out seems to have made slugging builds more viable. You can slug someone and they will probably still be there when you return because they crawl at 50% speed and the b13 comments 101 views last activity

I see many posts complaining about matchmaking but I see survivors like this: rank 1 = hard rank 2-4 = average difficulty rank 5+ = a joke It makes sense to me that the average survivor a killer faces is red rank since that's the average difficulty.11 comments 141 views last activity

I was rekting everyone for the past few days. Today games were significantly harder. Did the games get harder for anyone else? Maybe survivors were originally messing around since a new update dropped or they started learning how to play against him.2 comments 41 views last activity

This seems to be the optimal way to use his Cage. Torment survivor Hook survivor Tunnel survivor Cage survivor Tunnel survivor Kill survivor With this method, you can avoid Decisive Strike completely and they only get 1 proc of Borrowed Time making it easy to tunnel.13 comments 671 views last activity

So far it seems that there is really no point of using it since survivors can avoid it so easily and the trail can be avoided by crouching and is not even permanent so there is not much point to setting it up for scouting. I think they should make the Rites of Judgement last permanently or make it so hitting them with Punishment of the Damned applies Torment.21 comments 812 views last activity

Perks: Hex Ruin, Surveilance, Hex Thrill of the Hunt, and perk of your choice Addons: Doom Engravings and Carburettor Tuning Guide He benefits off of new Ruin fairly well since he has very high map pressure. The information from Surveilance + Ruin + Thrill of the Hunt gives him enough information to always be in a chase. They are playing on console. As seen in the figure below, at all points from ranks 1-10 the survival rate of PC survivors is higher. Looking at PS4, the survival rate is 10-13% lower on average. The difference is substantial at every rank. Xbox is similar but has a somewhat better survival rate. Only at a rank 2 the gap becomes small at 2.5%. Clown clearly needs a buff as he is the worst killer in the game. I propose that hitting survivors directly with a bottle result in an additional mini slow, something like 5% for a second. This will make Clown more interesting to play as it will reward accuracy and more interesting to play against as survivors now get to dodge bottles. Playing against Clown as a survivor is mostly dropping pallet0 comments 11 views last activity

All Hex totems start as dull totems but their abilities still work. This would greatly increase the odds of the totem surviving and make late game Hex totems, such as Hex: the Third Seal, more viable. Note that the only the Hex perk that is really ran is Hex Ruin. The other Hex perks are not ran because they take too long to have impact but have a high risk of being cleansed before then. Survivor3 comments 61 views last activity

EDIT: THIS OPINION IS PURELY BASED ON THE INFORMATION FROM https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/117488/ AND NOT THE LEAKED NOTES. The biggest buff he received was the change to not needing to change stances, which makes his chase much stronger. Before the change, to use his Shock Therapy, you had to swap to Treatment mode, use Shock Therapy, and swap back to Punishment mode to attack23 comments 341 views last activity

Apparently the new Hex Ruin will cause all generators to immediately start regressing if they are not being worked on. Surveilance perk is: "All regressing Generators will be highlighted by a white Aura . Once regression ends, Generators will be highlighted by a yellow Aura for 8 / 12 / 16 seconds." So the moment a survivor leaves a generator, you get information from it going white. T36 comments 731 views last activity
