In what world do you get survivors to miss enough skill checks to get decent value from this perk? Getting survivors to miss 5 skill checks is extremely unlikely and even if you do, you only get 15 percent/seconds of regression and gen block, which is nothing. Tthe perk is even anti-synergy with itself because it won't regress during the block. The extra regression from this perk counts as 2 regr18 comments 312 views last activity

Hag basically got obliterated by the increased hook timers since her main strategy was proxy camping. An extra 20 s of hook time on 1 survivor is very bad. As seen, her kill rate plummetted on patch 8.2.0 and she now sits near the bottom of kill rates. I seriously think Hag is the worst killer since she cannot outplay survivors and fully relies on them messing up and not knowing her counter play7 comments 111 views last activity

People largely overrate how many people use voice chat. In actual competitive games where people are sweating their asses off to win, like Dota, CSGO, and Overwatch, voice chat is still rarely used. Voice chat only starts getting some competitive usage at the top 5% of MMR/ranks. If voice chat was added to DBD, the same would occur. Only the top MMR survivors benefit from voice chat while solo qu8 comments 151 views last activity

The Clown buffs in 7.6.0 brought him from unplayable to semi-playable. Clown is still one of the worst killers and is sitting at the bottom of kill rates. This is why Arinad complains about DBD nonstop. https://nightlight.gg/killers/viewer?sort=kill&shown=kill&start_days=28&compact=true Looking at the more recent data, he's basically tied fo14 comments 322 views last activity

History: Thana was originally a terrible perk that no one used. In patch 6.1.0, they buffed Thana slightly from 5% to 5.5% in an attempt to buff under-used perks. Legion and Plague supposedly got too strong, so Thana was gutted shortly afterwards in patch 6.1.2. The end result was that Thanatophobia became even weaker than it was originally. Thanatophobia has been a dead perk for over 2 years now2 comments 61 views last activity

Interestingly, many of the killers typically ranked high on tier lists have average or below average win rates. For example, Billy, Nurse, Chucky, and Artist are near the average. Oni, Wesker, Spirit, Pyramid Head, and Huntress are below average. Playing him is like playing the very bad version of several killers. Hellfire is most comparable to Nemesis Whip. The problem is that Hellfire has a 0.9 sec charge time while Nemesis is 0.35 sec, which is almost 3 times longer. 3 times longer is absurdly long and makes it hard to use in most loops. The Flame projectile speed is also much slower and you can't "drag the whip" like Nemesis. Wolf for14 comments 353 views last activity

The way BHVR gets high mmr kill rates is by using the kill rate data from any killer in the top 10% of MMR. Though, this may not accurately represent high mmr kill rates since high mmr killers don't always play against high mmr survivors, given how loose matchmaking is. I'm curious what the inverse would look like when escape rate data is used from high mmr survivors instead. This may explain why1 comments 41 views last activity

Since 2v8, I've been sent to Asia servers far more frequently than in the past. Depending on the killer I'm playing, the game is unplayable with 150-200 ping. This is unfun and needs to be fixed. I would rather have longer queue times than 150-200 ping.0 comments 21 views last activity

Not blocking the exit gates leads to the same situation as hatch stand off. It varies depending on the map but if the hatch spawns far away from the exit gates, which is guaranteed to occur on certain maps, e.g. The Game, Lery's, and Badham, the survivor can wait at the gate to start openning it the moment hatch is closed, which allows them to open the gate before the killer can reach it. The "press space" screen should not exist. It should just go straight to the main menu. If I launch the game, I'm obviously going to press a button and go to the main menu. Forcing me to do it manually seems pointless.2 comments 51 views last activity

DBD has reached the point where they're running out of ideas for maps and maps are starting feel similar. To circumvent this, they need to add environmental map mechanics so maps are more interesting and unique. Examples of this are the gas pipes on Nostromo and the portals on Forgotten Ruins.1 comments 21 views last activity

To this date, there are still people who think Grade is used for matchmaking and don't know that hidden mmr what's actually used. There should be a note somewhere that makes it clear that Grade has no impact on matchmaking.2 comments 41 views last activity

When a character is purchased, the Tier 3 perks should immediately be unlocked for all killers. This is the only way to fix the grind. There are currently 44 survivors and 37 killers for a total of 77 characters. Prestiging all of these characters to Prestige 3 would take years. The grind would only worsen over time as more characters are added. The grind is the worst and most boring part about t31 comments 241 views last activity

2v8 was a casual game mode that attracted casual players. This splitted the player base. Casual players played 2v8 while competitive and sweaty players played 1v4. Now that the queues are merged again, there is a very noticeable reduction in the skill level of players. The survivors I'm getting now have 0 idea how to loop and go down in less than 30 seconds. I'm getting baby survivors and effortl5 comments 121 views last activity

BHVR said they would try to make survivor more interesting by adding more killers to 2v8. This won't fix queue times. People said that they got bored from facing the same killers, but during the first week of 2v8 when it was still fresh and people weren't bored yet, killer queue times were the worst. This means that even in the best case scenario where 2v8 is completely fresh, killer queue times2 comments 121 views last activity

I don't know why but I have been getting sent to Asia servers lately (from Aus), which is giving me 150+ ping making the game unplayable. I said that nerfing Ultimate Weapon wouldn't make a big difference since it had low usage rate and there were better perks killers could run. It's been about 3 months since Ultimate Weapon was nerfed, and it has faded into obscurity. I'm back for a check up. Are the killers that used to run UW significantly weaker now? Ohtofu described it best in his video . The issue with Hag is that she is heavily dependant on survivors making mistakes and not knowing her counter play to win. She stomps survivors that make the mistake of running into her web of traps. The counter play to Hag is extremely simple. After triggering a trap and getting hit, run in the same direction you came from, which was already confirmed to h1 comments 81 views last activity

Plague's Vile Purge is basically the same as Legion's Feral Frenzy but automatic, much harder to avoid, and survivors are broken. Plague also gets Corrupt Purge while Legion has to play as a M1 killer. Legion can only down survivors with Feral Frenzy after 4 hits, which is extremely rare and only happens on very small maps, e.g. Dead Dawg Saloon.11 comments 161 views last activity

The point of the rework was to remove the instant drop Knight play style. From my testing so far, the 10 m path is already enough to achieve this. The extra decay speed is unnecessary and completely prevents him from chasing with his Guards, which turns him into a M1 killer.1 comments 21 views last activity

You now have to hold the ability button for auto aim. It should be the other way around where manual aim is used when holding the ability button. 99% of Singularity players will only use auto aim and never manual aim because it's strictly better than manually aiming. Having the auto aim on the ability button inconveniences 99% of players while only catering to 1% of players who want to manually a27 comments 361 views last activity

Oblivious and Undetectable are useless on killers with Lullaby since the Lullaby gives them away. I don't think there's a good reason not to. Killers with Lullabies: Huntress Nightmare Onryo Trickster Twins Asides from Huntress, I don't think the change would significantly impact the killers. I find it strange that BHVR hasn't addressed Hex perks yet when they have been unpopular for years. The problem is that their risk far outweighs their reward. They get cleansed too early, and you get little value out of them without a build fully dedicated to Hex perks. My suggestion is to give Hex perks the same treatment as Corrupt Intervention. Hex perks are concealed as Dull Totems for 2 min20 comments 231 views last activity

Hag is currently the least popular killer in the game (similar to pre-rework). Her rework didn't address her main issue, which is she is purely setup and has no chase. People dislike playing setup killers in general. Hag has no chase because she is 110% and takes too long to set up traps. Chasing with her is basically set up trap, survivor runs to next loop, and repeat. She mainly gets hit from s45 comments 465 views last activity

Scott Jund conducted an experiment and survey on tunnelling. In his experiment, he played 50 matches and recorded the number of matches where anyone on his team was tunnelled. Tunnelling occurred in 5/50 (10%) matches and in only 2 of the matches, the killer was deliberately tunnelling. In the other 3 matches, the tunnelling occurred due to survivors making stupid mistakes. Considering there ar203 comments 5,510 views last activity

There are some killers where suicide on hook is common, e.g. Skull Merchant, Legion, and Pinhead. Suicide on hook is effectively a DC, so the match should be excluded. I think this is fairly simple. Just exclude games where the first person that dies fails multiple skill checks during 2nd stage. In most cases, this is a suicide on hook.3 comments 61 views last activity

The first nerf is the 10 m spawn restriction. Most loops are shorter than 10 m, so the 10 m spawn restriction makes it impossible for him to use his power in most loops. Knight's chase boiled down to either cornering survivors with a Guard or 50/50 pallet break mind game with Carnifex. Knight's Guards were never designed to have the speed to solo chase a survivor, so he had to chase alongside his1 comments 71 views last activity

Pyramid Head should have different movement speeds for Rites of Judgement and Punishment of the DamnOne of the major problems with Pyramid Head is that it's generally not worth setting up Rites of Judgement pre-emptively since it wastes too much time and slows you down. My suggestion is to allow Pyramid Head to cycle between Rites of Judgement and Punishment of the Damned. Everything will be the same except in Rites of Judgement mode he won't get slowed down and can't use Punishment of the Damn1 comments 51 views last activity

I come from a LoL and Dota background, so I have a lot of history playing characters with multiple abilities. I must say that they nailed the theme. It feels exactly like I'm playing a character from a MOBA due to elements that come with multiple abilities, e.g. choosing the correct spell, cooldown management, and mastering multiple abilities.0 comments 11 views last activity

His Dashes are only 2.5 seconds if you have 0 ping. I tested it in a bot lobby with an auto clicker using the exact timings for Bubba and also tested various timing corrections for ping. There was large variation (up to 500 ms) in the dash timings due to ping, so you would have to click at least 500 ms earlier to get 100% consistent dash timings, so his power is weaker in practice than on paper.0 comments 31 views last activity

If Pain Res is getting nerfed due to 40% usage, why isn't Windows of Opportunity getting nerfed too?Dev note: Pain Resonance finds itself in almost 40% of all loadouts, and it is one of the most effective Perks in the game. There's literally pallets everywhere. A survivor drops 1 pallet and it only takes 5 seconds to run to another one. It's has more pallets than the Game and Shattered Square. All perks, addons, killers, survivors, and items should be unlocked with no limits. The purpose of the PTB is to test for bugs, balance issues, and the game design. It makes absolutely no sense to limit people's ability to test things. The quality and quantity of the feedback would significantly increase if everything was unlocked on the PTB allowing people to easily and extensively test things.3 comments 52 views last activity

Singularity has many restrictions and has been underwhelming since release due to BHVR being cautious about 3 gen after Skull Merchant. Singularity was directly released after SM making him the biggest victim of this. Now that 3 gens are gone, I think it's only fair he receives some buffs.3 comments 51 views last activity

The regression event counting method doesn't impact regression perks equally. Perks with low regression amounts are nerfed, e.g. Surge. A 2.5% regression shouldn't be treated equally as a 25% regression because it limits design space. There could be a point in the future where the devs make a 2.5% regression perk, and it will be terrible due to the regression event cap. Perks that require kickin2 comments 251 views last activity

In the recent mmr changes, BHVR removed the soft cap and set the hard cap to 2100 mmr (down from 3000). 2100 mmr is too low. I'm getting baby survivors in most of the matches I play. Almost none of my matches are challenging, and I'm winning every match. Re-add the mmr soft cap.8 comments 251 views last activity

Someone recently did an experiment where they played the most liked killer (Hillbilly) and as nice as possible, and survivors still complained about how the killer played. I'm wondering why BHVR hasn't buffed Hex perks yet. No one runs them because they get cleansed in 1-2 minutes and do nothing. Hex Ruin was the only Hex perk (that spawns at game start) that was ever good. Now that it's been nerfed, all Hex perks are bad.41 comments 1,221 views last activity
