I really don't have a problem with it at all really.
I stream/play killer 99 % of the time. I fully understand how disgusting map set ups and gen speeds are. I understand how hard it is to play killer. I understand feeling the need to do what I have to do to slow the game down and not have 4 gens done in 5 minutes and 4 hooks.
So when I play survivor. I'm not a hypocrite. I understand what they're going through. I just run DS. Run the killer for 40 seconds or so if I can. Hit my DS and continue on. I don't moan and complain
I am not saying you complain about it, but the main reason you probably dont care is because you can not relate to survivors or even the situation. It is not always easy to relate when only playing one role.
I personally play both roles and i know it can be frustrating for both sides so i try to have good sportsmanship.

I mean. I do what I can to secure my kills. I have no issues tunneling, camping, slugging.
I play survivor with friends a LOT after stream usually and they typically don't like it. And they're usually like "this is what it's like playing against you" I just tell them I have no issues with how they played. Because I understand it.
I doubt that you dont have a problem when you get tunneled and camped every single game* but i guess to each their own.
*Thank god the majority is not like that, but if everybody would think like you, this game would be a very aweful experience.
-
Treat other people just like you want to get treated. It is a simple philosophy.
-
Me
Playing against a Spirit with Noed - i get hit a second after noed got cleansed. I run to the open exit gate and because of her BM during the match (camp, tunnel, headshake, the full program), i give her the BM back by tbaging*. Just for the lolz i Dead Hard towards the escape catwalk... or should i say i tried? My mouse slip, i deadhard into the wall right next to it and eventually died on hook. Karma i guess, even tho i am not sure how she deserved it :)
*I tbaged like 2-3 times during my X thousend hours playing this game, only to those who really deserve it.
-
NOED: Survivors who were hooked during the trial get exposed after the last generator is repair. Exposed status will be shown immediately (not when hit)

Pretty normal in our world. Very unfortunate. People only care for themselve, beeing selfish is modern. Just look around here in this forum and you will get a good idea on how things are going. "I dont care for other peoples fun, they dont care about mine aswell" is the No. 1 Quote you read here. Very shortsided and ignorant, but thats the way it is.
Needless to say that a statement and a mentality like this is in my opinion aweful, but good luck trying to confince people like that.

"Raccoon City Police Department looks great but does not work very well in DbD"

"Toxic kids"... Though you say DBD is mostly adults, yet there are a lot of toxic people in it still.
I don't think someone's age has anything to do with being toxic or not.
I have never played FNAF, and I'm 27 years old, yet I think the hate people who want a FNAF chapter are getting is more immature than them liking FNAF itself.
Yes there are a lot of toxic players since this game somehow drives people into that. I guess its the nature of a 4v1, maybe idk? But the point is - we already have that bunch of toxic players, do we really desperatly want more of them?
I do think it has. No sole, but obviously kids are much more attracted to that behaviour.
I personally dont HATE it, but i think its not good for the game and that is why i dislike the license for Dead by Daylight. If a license might have a lot of positive but also a lot of negative effect its simply not worth it.

You think DBD isnt full of kids as well? It's not like you need to show your ID before you buy the game to see if you're really 18+
Of course there are children playing this game which is obviously a problem parents are not capeable to handle (or they simply dont care). But at least from what i see from social medias, DbD has a much more mature playerbase then a game like Fortnite or... FnaF.
Again, why should we make DbD more attractive for children?
And why should we want more toxic kids? These are no rhetorical questions.
Last but not least, again, there are other great licenses around, DbD is in no need to get this one.

You know Kids play Dead by Daylight and some Adults act like kids right?
Kids should not play DbD in first place and there is no doubt that adults act more like adults then kids act like adults. Why should we want a game like this be more attractive for children? Nobody wants thatn and heck nobody should want that.
-
There are plenty of good licenses around, why should we care for FNAF? In fact the playerbase of FNAF is notorious for beeing full of children. Do we need those kids around in DbD? Usually, at least from my experience, they tend to be toxic. Something i can despense.

It is both depending on the skill levels involved.
Beginner? Killer sided. Their goals are much more intuitive than Survivor goals.
Intermediate? Survivor sided. Survivors have more ways to get better at the game initially than Killers do and have more ready access to good perks.
Expert? Killer sided. Once the Killer starts to learn to mind game, single out the weak link(s) of a team, and gets good perks... well they start doing very well. Very very well. Which is how Killer streamers are able to do very large 4k streaks. Also it is very rare to even get 4 expert Survivors on a single team through matchmaking.
Pro? Survivor sided. Even the best killers rarely defeat pro Survivors on comms.
Well written and true.

Pretty much all of Nurse's addons need another pass because I've never ever once felt tempted to run anything besides recharge or distance, pre or post nerf.
Nemesis's need love too, but so does his whole kit.
I agree with the Nurse addons, but as you say, they should rework them completly. My thoughts are about addons or items that alone have a significant change or leave little room for counterplay.
-
Another killer with a skillshot / range ability. Very tired of them.

Elo has been around 1 (one) day and we're already getting threads about elo hell LOL
It's the Heroes Of The Storm forums all over again
Thats why i created the Padawan Projekt in that game, but i am way to lazy to do that all over again.
-
Cant get much closer then this. Voting ends today so feel free to pump your favourite killer ;)

Definitly!
I love the Hellraiser movies, especially the first 2 parts and the first thing i said when i got this game was something like "I hope they bring Ghostface and Pinhead at some point".

I swear to god if it's another chase/ranged killer
Im not saying i hope his power will be another annoying range skillshot sadness, i defnitly dont, but Pinhead himself is great news.
-
My bet: He will be kinda like Kel'thuzad
Shooting a chain and is able to "pin" the target to a wall or even another survivor.
-
Hellraiser Chapter, for me the last highly anticipated one next to Jason. Cant wait to see what Pinheads power will be.
-
I ran into those persons a few times and they obviously do it for a simple, extremly sad reason: They hate you so much for beeing better at a video game that they waste their time to piss you off. As people already suggested: Get a coffee, watch Youtube, do the household and laugh inside about his or her personal sadness.
-
I love Blight, i dislike Spirit.
-
I might be more or less alone with my vote and its really very close, but i give it to Doctor. The are both fun in a chase, but what really gets me all the time is Doctors appearence and his laugh. I love Huntress too, but Doctor just a tiny bit more.
-
Looks like Oni is winning quite easily.
-
I love bubba and i dislike trapper. No hard pick for me.
-
I like both, but Ghostface reveal mechanic is often not working consistent, so the cake goes to spooky Myers.
-
Demogorgon, no competition.
-
Even tho Pig might not my absolute favourite killer, I have been facing way to many Nurse mains to know, that she can be very frustrating to go against.
-
What is the point of hiding those ranks? Did BHVR take a stand about this topic?

While next to the hook and not in a chase.
The last thing we need is one Survivor playing Ring Around The Hookie for force a Killer to give the other 2 Survivors a repairing bonus.
If a survivor is getting chased next to the hook, he is doing the killer a big favour anyway. Therefore i think this change would not be neccessary.

I mean...
This situation is like NOED and Adrenaline.
They both need to change at the same time (I'm talking about Haddonfield and Dead Dawg)
I would be fine if they change both at the same time, but i dont think they neccessary has to be changed together.. as long as they get change anytime soon :)

I've always wanted a perk like this, however one downside to it would be that other survivors would probably be incentivised to just leave you to die.
Thats a downside the survivor has to draw into the calculus. If you want to make sure, pair it with kindred (and even Camaraderie) for full anti camp build.
-
Please let this be more then just a small fix. This map need some serious changes. Way to killersided. In my opinion. Its like Haddonfield but in favour for the killer.
- The Deadzone (pretty much 30% of the map) needs more then just 2-3 unsafe pallets, especially because there are usually 2 gens to find there. The worst part is, that you are after droping the already unsafe pallet completly zoned out, since most of the "loops" are in the backend of the map.
- the gallon is a deathtrap unless you have ballanced landing.
- the shack is just another pallet with that breakable wall. Since its in the center, its no effort to just open up the shack before you even hunt someone down.
- the map is very small and open.
- the houserow is a weak version of TL wall and a ######### 4 lane. Its not that good in first place, but once just one breakable wall is opend, it becomes very bad.
- the very few filler pallets are between completly useless and very weak.
- no jungle gyms at all beside the joke houserow.
- Mainbuilding has 1 strong and one good window, but it takes just a kick and they are both completly useless.
Said that, change stinky Haddonfield too, discusting map. Why this map is still not reworked, is beyond my comprehension.
-
Fnaf is coming? I hope this is a delayed april fools joke?
-
This bracket is a nailbiter.
Trickster is pretty unfun since all he has to do is proxy the hook and get 2 downs.
Twins are straight up discusting. Delete this killer, i pay 10$ for that alone.
Wraith is pretty fun in my opinion, but he has some downsides too. Some addons are not very fun to verse, especially silent bell.
Spirit is Spirit.
Freddy has 10 meter arms, not that great to get smacked down like that. But he is not the worst.
Clown... drop the pallet and hope you make it to the next one... 0/10
So Wraith it is for me.

Yes. A brown toolbox gives you better progress on a gen than no toolbox.
The fun part is, when you are last survivor alive, the killer closed hatch and you still can escape because the game gave you a purple key to open the hatch with xD
Yes but even the best toolbox wont compensate the time it takes to loot a chest.

My top 3 worst killers are
The Pig
The Nightmare
The Nurse
I will explain why nurse is on here soon before I get a buncha death threats...
Remember in my opinion
Nurse is the strongest killer in the game. No opinion, fact.
Nightmare is not as great as he used to be, but still good.
Pig.. yea maybe. She is weak compared to the rest.

It is helpful because you have to identify where the problem is. And here, the problem is with entitled players wanting easy wins and when they can't get their way they have a fit and d/c. That's not a game design problem.
Sorry no offense but this is getting old.
The most DCd killer i have ever experienced was Legion 1.0 ... who lost all the time. It is not always about the strenght why people are unhappy with a killer.
-
@GannTM said:
People DCing are way more problematic than Spirit. I don’t know how you can argue that.
Yea but the reason they Dc is because they dont have fun. It is not the peoples fault, you cant change them - they are what they are. If the customer does not enjoy a certain aspect of the game, its up to the devs to fix the problem (or not and suffer the consequences)
Before you start, i am not defending DCs, i never DC and i hate when it happens but pointing out that its the peoples fault is not constructive nore helpful.

He might be exaggerate but he is no where near the worst.

He is talking about killspeed and not strenght.
Without a doubt Trickster with main event and Bubba for obvious reasons.

Seriously, we have a ton of maps in the game but the only offering that get used are Haddonfield, Coldwind, & Ormond. It gets boring and repetitive. It's time to retire these offerings and free up some space in the bloodweb.
No thanks to that.
Map offerings are neccessary for certaint builds like wallhack Myers. On top of that, RPD exists.
-
Blight with no addons: no way better then Spirit
Blight with double speed or alchemist ring: god

Seriously, it's ridiculous how this perk just gives survivors not one, not two, but several extra lives per game! It's a second chance perk, like DS, UB and BT, but if DS and UB only work once per trial, this "Press E to Win" nonsense can be used and abused basically every chase.
It's one of the most overpowered and unbalanced perks. If survivors have an ability to get extra life per every chase, at least give killers a perk which grants one instant down per chase too or something.
Coup de Grâce is a Teachable Perk unique to The Twins . It can be unlocked for all other Characters from Level 40 onwards: Perk descriptions may vary from in-game descriptions for reasons explained here.Perks support Mouse-over functionality (desktop version only): hovering over the modifier words with your cursor will reveal the values behind them.On mobile browsers, the values are displayed in small text after the modifier words. Desktop users experiencing issues with the mouse-over may temporYou welcome.

Can you pinpoint where I SAID that Coldwind should be nerfed? I never put my personal opinion on my comment. I said that if the devs were to take purely driven data to make decisions, Coldwind wouldn't be buffed (or nerfed) before, let's say, Shelter Woods.
Jeez, incredible annoying how people on this forum must turn every post into us vs them.
If it was purely data driven they'd have to nerf Coldwind a ton, because before the rework these maps had some of the highest escape rates in the game
Welp, the only side i am on is the ballance ;) I dont see how this is ballanced according to data at all, but maybe i missread your message there.

I personally think they just changed these for the sake of visuals, because a bunch of hay looks prettier on a farm than rock loops. If it was purely data driven they'd have to nerf Coldwind a ton, because before the rework these maps had some of the highest escape rates in the game (sorry for crappy image):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SA0NWY41DA8L/uhgr0wx.png
I am confused now. So you think they have to nerf coldwind farm because of high escape rate? 45-35% escape rate is high? In my Book of Ballancing, this is highly favourable for the killer. You are not telling us that killer should have a higher killrate then 50%, do you?
