The Hatch works just fine, but keys actually do need changes.
Simply create a animation of like 5 seconds to unlock the hatch. Once it is unlocked, one person can jump in. After that, the hatch gets blocked by the entity for X seconds.
-
Not gonna lie, most of my hits i receive look exactly like that or sometimes even worse. I lost faith they will ever fix this.

You answered your own question. Slugging is an expected action for Twins, one of their main characters (Victor) cannot pick you up and take you to a hook. Believe me I wish he did.
As for the camping, yes I can agree with that but only when the player decides to leave Victor by the hook, because otherwise what is different about them camping and say a Bubba camping?
Like, I don't disagree that finding a Twins player in that scenario you describe is annoying, but not every twins player plays like that. So I generally find the overall gameplay against twins fun, because they don't feel like your average M1 killer.
I guess you are a lucky man then. Cant remember a single game vs twins without hardcore camping and slugging. Maybe i am the unlucky guy and it is normal that they play "fair", but whatever it is, Twins work best when they Slug and Camp. And this brings me once again back to my question (which i did not answer myself)
Is this really enjoyable? What mechanic do you like about them? Any tricks vs twins i might not know?
-
I definitly like playing and versing Blight, but i dislike some of his addons. The Alchemist Ring and Double Rush speed addons are broken af.

Joke's on you... I love facing Twins 🤷 Wish more people played them!
When i play versus twins, its a camp and slugfest. Whats fun about that? Serious question by the way.
-
I play them equaly and stealth is uninteresting for me.
-
Any killer where survivors have almost no influence if they survivor or not.
Nurse for example. It never really feels like i won against the Nurse, but rather that she lost. 60% depends on her skill, 30% on map and rng factor and maybe only 10% survivor skill. If the Nurse is very good, there is beside RNG nothing really the survivor can do in chase.
Other examples would be the majority of recent range killer, especially Deathlinger. He is missing, i am not dodging. And again, it is more lack of his skill or RNG then anything else when you win a chase/"dodge" his hits.
-
When i play killer, the survivors are toxic.
When i play survivor, the killer is toxic.
The game is toxic, not a specific role.
And to fully answer your question why they are toxic: Because they are most likely children. At least i hope they are... 🙄 Otherwise... jees
-
Recently Doctor somehow. Can not remember i had the last game vs him.

Oh your completely right she is 100% ######### insane. I currently have a 534 winstreak (4ks, or 3k plus hatch escape)
Then you dont really need the opinion of us i guess. You prove to yourself that she is busted 😊
And before some come with the unwise arugment no1 about Nurse: No, winning 500+ times in a row, no matter how hard she might be to learn(which she is not even) is not "fine". If you think that, considere yourself completly clueless on how to ballance a game and spare your words please.
-
@BradQuackson said:
I just wanna know what people currently think of her, and her current state. I think shes completely fine as its a skill vs skill matchup
Hello
I think she is still overpowered by quite a bit. Once you learned her well, you wont loose many rounds anymore. Once mastered, you could try to beat 500+ in a row with her
-
Open maps for sure.
-
Boring? Does that mean "dislike" or "hate" or are we really talking about boring? Maybe i am to emotional, but i never felt bored by a killer, but i dislike or even hate some of them. The only "boring" killer is an afk killer or a very bad killer who does not know how to play the game.
-
@Orion said:
Agreed, 100%. This is especially true of killers like Nurse and Spirit, which some people like to claim "have no counters".
I played enough Nurse to know that she has no counter (if we exclude "Genrush", which is the counter to every killer)
-
Definitly one of my most anticipated killers since i started playing the game.

It’s intentionally designed as a “hard mode” perk, seeing as there is no difficulty selection upon choosing to play a match. It allows for some unique altruism plays as well.
Yes i agree, it is hard mode and for that reason it is a bad perk. Dont get me wrong, it is not an unfun perk per se, but sole its effect is the worst in the game.
Monstrous Shrine is useless, No Mither is generally contra productive.
-
I think he was fine, beside the addons. But i think he is still good, you can still curve and he is a strong killer in the right hands.
I think they nerfed him because new players (or those who are not very good at looping) could not handle his power. I am not sure if this is sooo much better now, but at least it was their intention.
On the high level, he was definitly not op, unless he ran insta saw addons or crackbilly.

No Mither is good for a genrush build with Resilience, Spine Chill and Prove Thyself
It might be that it can be fun, but thats about it. A sabo build against a halfway decent killer is not effective at all.
Would you rather pick No Mither instead of lets say Buckle up if your life depends on it? :D I guess not.

Then you don’t understand No Mither.
Maybe i dont. For me its a perk that removes one health state, which is a massive downside. The benefit is, that you can not get slugged which is good. But not nearly as good as an extra health state. Therefore playing without No Mither is more beneficial then with it. Since this is the only perk with a negative effect that i can think off, its the worst perk in the game.

Ashamed of themselves? For playing a killer that's in the game? I feel like every time we get something powerful on the killer's side, survivors exaggerate the situation and so BHVR is getting more and more careful when designing killers, afraid to create anything too good. Don't worry though, BHVR will nerf spirit so that you don't have to shift playstyles and overcome obstacles.
I dont agree that they should be ashamed, but for me personally i would actually be. Its like playing a Deathmatch and standing in front of the B Tunnel at Dust 2 with an Auto sniper... sure you "can" do that because its in the game, but in my opinion its a lacy and cheap way to get kills. I guess i want a challange more then anything else. Playing Spirit is not.

its a game, so being what it is, be toxic back, you have every right. Why should a killer play nice if a survivor doesnt? ;)
Because they behave like little kids you also jump on that train?
As an adult person you should think different.
-
Mr Bean aka The Turkey Head
-
Twins. The concept of the killer might be original, but the gameplay against them is terrible. Close second is Deathslinger, but at least he might at least theoretically be fixable without completly breaking him apart. Twins on the other hand is a hopeless cause unless they complety rework them.
-
Why should i care for your fun anymore if no one cares for mine ? Its not worth it playing nice for one person put of 40.
Because you are the better person and instead of them you can behave and take it easy. As hard as it might sound right now (i assume you had a few rough games recently), just ignore them and leave with a smile. You played fair and that is all what counts.
-
Hello
I dont think Infinite Myers is op.
Just think about it... to reach perma Tier 3, it will usually cost at least 2, maybe even 3 generators. The benefit for those 2-3 gens is that he becomes a slow billy with slightly faster faulting speed and a better lunge for the rest of the game. Not worth it in my opinion.
(when i started playing survivor, i also thought he is overpowered, but he really isnt. Learn the timing against him and you can loop him like every other M1 killer without any real power)
-
No thanks, i would not play it and i dont care for another game mode as long as the current one is in this state. Not even for a day.

How the ######### is Deathslinger toxic? In what world is a worse Huntress toxic to you?
Do you live on the moon? Slinger is the most hated killer since Legion 1.0.
-
My "rules": Well, not really rules, but thats how i am:
If they are not toxic, they get hatch.
If they give up and stop running, i let them farm.
If they dont want to play serious for some reason, we farm.
I never play a toxic killer. No Twins, no Deathslinger and only in very rare occasions i would play Spirit.
Thats about it.
-
Loose? Like 0-1K? In DbD? As a killer? 🤣
With all seriousness... no, you almost never loose unless you run into a very sweaty comp team, which are extremly rare, even in red ranks.
-
Cool mindset bro.
My definition of fun is to have fun.. no matter how it goes, but when you run into slugging and camping Twins, Stridor Spirits and Deathslingers non stop, it is hard to not uninstall it right away and leave it for another 6 months.
This game is a mess. The Developers apparently dont understand it at all. Imagine having a community complaining about slugging and camping for the past 5 years and then they release a killer, who does only that (Twins).
-
Of course they excist.
I got tunneled a few games ago (probably played against DangerScouse who thinks this is clearly not tunneling... when tunneling a person). The killer ignored everone and everything and only chased me no matter how stupid and how hard he would loose the game (whap happend eventually)
A week ago, we tried a serious "genrush". We ignored the guy who was hooked, just pumped the gens with BNPs, Streetwise, Built to last and Prove thyselve. Ended in a few minutes.
What you actually mean is that it might get wrong interpretated. Sometimes it can feel like beeing tunneled or it looks like a genrush, while it was not the case at all.
-
I prefere high mobility for these reasons:
- The killer can travle long distances between potential chases very fast. So the most boring part (walking from A to B) is almost irrelevant.
- Therefore he can pressure gens, which is a problem most killer have.
- High mobility require quick reflexes, muscle memory and skill in general. When obtained those skills, high mobility killer are strong at looping aswell....
- while survivors skill is putting to the test. They still have strong looping potential IF they play well. The chases are fair and it is usually a test who the better play is.
-
Nurse is about as ballanced as 4 man SWF sweat squad, very old DS, Keys or the old Ebony Mori.
True, she might be hard to learn, but that does not justify her insame potential at all. I am not a nurse main and just above average skilled with her, but i have not lost single game since years, which should tell something.
-
Not everything is black and white. Dead Hard might need some small changes, but it is neither completly fair nore completly unfair.
Just to give you an example: "Dead Hard exhausted" is completly unfair and therefore it actually need a buff/fix, on the other hand, Dead Hard for distance might be a bit to strong/annoying for the killer. Then again... whats up with Lithe? This perk gives much more distance. Objectively it is a stronger perk. If everyone would switch to lithe, i am pretty sure, killer mains would cry about this perk aswell.
-
I would not mind if they bring back old Billy, but please no insta saw addons. Without those addons he was strong enough.

No idea. I know a few years ago we had all the gens done and a door open at 3:20 but I didn't run out and the game lasted another minute.
As for escaping multiple games in a row I have no clue. I don't care how big the number is, it's not impressive. Anyone can quite easily get to 100 escapes in a row with a 4 man, keys and map offerings.
You missunderstand the topic. It is not about 1 person escaping in a row, but rather all 4.
100 4-man escapes in a row would be definitly world record and an almost impossible task (unless the survivors use low rank accounts, then maybe doable)

Like I said, have their cake and eat it too. They don't want to be chased, they want to be chased when it suits them, and for the killer to leave them alone when it doesn't. The killer as an opposing player with their own agency, goals, and strategies, this game being PvP, none of that matters. Things can only happen to them if and when they say so, and only if they end in a way that is advantageous to them. Everything else be damned.
Yes, survivor want to be chased when it suits them. Of course.
It is a game, they want to have fun, and so does the killer.
Some here defend this "strategy" because of genrush. It is simply a form of whataboutism. Genrush might be a problem and so is tunneling. Arguing that the one thing is fine for the game because the other thin excists is a very short sided thought.

They did derank, because I watched them 3 days in a row and at the end of the stream he was rank 4-6 depending how much he pipped and at the start of the next stream he was rank 9-10 and it was not 13th of the month in any of those streams I watched.
And of course they have to use strong tactics, but especially the deranking is disgusting and toxic and at least for me, it takes all the credibility away from it.
True, but this topic is not about 1 person escaping record, but rather all 4. 🙂
-
@Aven_Fallen said:

I know the Streamer and I dont think they deranked. I played against them multiple times (granted, not during their Streak) and almost always got them. They were not playing seriously all the time, but those long Streaks are only possible in a 4 man SWF when the whole team is basically dying to get one person out.
And if you want Streaks that big, you have to bring the best Stuff like Keys or Map Offerings. Otherwise it is not possible to escape that often, those are absolute edge cases.
@Topic:
I doubt that there is anything like long Streaks for 4 man escapes. At max, tournament squads would be possible to do that, but those usually dont play in Public Matches, so I doubt that this ever happened. As I have written above, Survivor Streaks are usually only obtained by Individuals in 4 man SWFs, if everyone dies to get this one person out.
They played on low rank accounts for the purpose of running into a low rank killer.
Thats a shame, so well then, here is mine: We are currently at 18 4-man escapes in a row (rank 1) Not recorded tho, so i guess that does not count.
-
@Orion said:

On the other hand, most survivors would say the fun is in being chased. Unless the killer chases them for too long and they lose, then it's no longer fun. It just sounds like they want to have their cake and eat it too.
Yea but beeing chased and beeing chased could be 2 different things. How most define and also i understand tunneling (at least the one people complain about) is getting tunneled off the hook, which normally give the survivor no defense unless the unhooker has BT.
Just regular tunnel (while not proxycamping at the hook) is for me when playing survivor the best thing in the game, but that almost never happens. When i get tunneled, i get tunneled off the hook with no defense for me pretty much.
-
@yui_best_girl_at_me said:
as a low rank purp killer and a yellow rank survivor why cant survivor and espsially swf get over tunnleing being used as a tactic to stop gen rushing?
Why you ask that question? The answer is obvious.
Imagine you would be tunneled every game. You gain very little ammount of bloodpoints, you queue longer then you actually play and it is generally not fun to get tunneled off the hook since there is usually little gameplay involved.
-
Coal Tower for both.
-
I just imagined a Trapper with this
- 5 Traps to start with
- Instant setting time
- VERY dark Traps
- Traps that would take forever to disarm...
- and when they do the get injured and had to repeate 30 seconds later
Who would benefit the most? Survivor or Killer? Depends on the killer. Myers f.e. would be trash with all his addons, while Spirit would be complelty insane.
-
Tie between Deathslinger, Twins, Nurse and Spirit.
- Deathslinger because of his quickscope mechanic.
- Twins because camping and slugging is the best way to succeed with them, which are strategies we should actually fight and not support with a killer who plays exactly like that.
- Nurse because she ignores every defence and kinda plays her own game.
- Spirit because its a guessing game.
-
I think he would need a buff, but i am not sure how to.
Maybe like this: A decent buff would be that he is able to stalk survivors infinite. On top of that, T3 Myers should be able to break pallets 10% faster and he should also recover faster from stuns (kinda like a built in Enduring and Brutal Strenght)
