If you lose to Trickster, you are bad at the game.
Very helpful and mature input.

No.
He's not overpowered.
But he is extremely unhealthy in the EXACT same way that Old Legion was.
This. Every Trickster I've faced lately just camps and tunnels with him and it's super effective. Then of course they say after the match: "I have to camp and tunnel because he's a bad killer".
It feels like Twins all over again. Incredibly awful design for Killer resulting in unhealthy play style and of course BHVR can't seem to balance him properly.
I genuinely dislike Trickster now, not because he is op or anything but because everyone who plays him is just maximum scummy and then absolutely rude in the end game chat just like all the toxic Twins I dealt with a month or two after their release.
Just more gasoline on the cycle of toxicity and it's gross.

Feedback... What about the ones who like the new models? It isn't feedback as well?
Sorry if you don't like them. I do hope for you that you'll eventually start to like them soon.
I think it's worse for the people who love these characters and main them, to have them ruined for them rather than some people now liking them a little bit better because they look good to them.
I genuinely don't want to use Kate anymore her face looks unrecognizable and I doubt BHVR cares what we think.
It's whatever I'll main someone else but it's like actually sad.. Don't be so flippant towards all of us for being bummed about our fave survivors being changed so drastically bcuz it really is sad to see certain characters look COMPLETELY different in the face.

He's hotter now. All is well

Title, what makes a killer boring to you? Also, what are your least favorite killers to face and why?
My example: I hate killers that feel uninteractive in chase or barely chase at all. These are the trap killers mainly, as they are mainly just M1 killers unless you step in a trap and get downed/hit.
Least favorite killers to face are Hag, Trapper, and Freddy because of their traps.
Any killer that just camps you to death/tunnels you immediately off hook.
-
Yeah I'm not gonna be playing her as much anymore she looks really weird now é3è
Idk who to use now on survivor side
-
I'd love if Jake was gay but I'm doubtful BHVR would ever confirm any such thing. The whole, Claudette not being autistic thing by them is why. They seem really reluctant to commit to these things with their characters and that's totally fine if they want things that way. If things are left up in the air and more vague, we can make our own head canons and like these characters however way we want to.
Heck, it doesn't even have to be "gay" it would be pretty cool to have bi/pans or asexual representation. I feel like maybe one day BHVR might be more open with it but for now I'm just grateful that they embrace LGBTQIA+ pride as much as they do and it feels genuine unlike others.

its the worst scratchmark erasing perk, only working 5 times, and i most of those 5 time u will get zero value, so yeah i agree this change would make it more useful to use, tho id make it work every 30 or even 20 seconds....
Agreed. Only working 5 times per match hurts. You'd think it would be redeemed by the lengthy 10 seconds of no Scratch Marks but having little to no control over it makes it rather useless most of the time. With a reworked version like this you could get so many more meaningful uses.

Blood does not appear when spirit is phasing without the addon. Running Bloodhound does not change that.
Wait has it always been like that or did they change that, I could have sworn Bloodhound worked on her in the past.
My mistake I thought phasing let you see blood.

Bloodhound does nothing for spirit.
Blood already glows in the spirit world which is only visible if she's running Father's Glasses (an iri addon).
You have to run Father's Glasses for that effect though. Bloodhound will make blood glow while phasing without them so you can run stronger add ons.
Or one could run Father's glasses to free up a perk slot in place of Bloodhound. Either or works, I'm just saying that Bloodhound is a viable tracking perk on her that was never really considered due to Stridor.
-
Replace Stridor with Bloodhound = profit.
If a survivor is running Iron Will + Lucky Break you're honestly better off dropping chase with them instead of wasting time trying to guess and find them but Bloodhound will make it very obvious if there are no blood puddles. I doubt EVERY survivor will run IW + LB in case of a Spirit every match. LB seems very rare to me these days tbh.
Spirit is still going to be S tier I really don't get this argument. Stridor is going to be useless though but it already kind of was except for on Spirit.

From the beginning and even now my favorite exhaustion perk remains Lithe. Idk why but I just love this one the most because you can always trigger it off of a pallet if for some reason there are no windows around or very few on the map itself (Im referring to you, The Game). It also goes well with the Houdini build which I'm quite fond of.
Aside from that my next favorite is Sprint Burst. I typically use SB when I am aiming to be a gen monkey popping gens in the background while others get chased. I like it for getting to the hook faster or just doing side objectives like scouting the map with a, well map LOL and or totem hunting.
I don't like using DH.
And Balanced Landing I love but I wish it was just a little bit better. It's too niche

Its not even the most efficient way to carry someone. Nemesis is the worst since he basically holds them with one arm. The lack of proper carrying techniques is setting a bad example honestly.
I will always campaign to be carried bridal style by the killer.

Doctor would definitely like pineapple on his because he is a monster.
-
It's part of what makes things fun. Whether survivor or killer I personally have a lot of fun in figuring out the other sides build by deduction throughout the match.
I'm sure they knew what they were doing when they made most of these. BBQ encourages killers to go for everyone. BT and DS discourage tunneling. Camaraderie combats camping. Idk some of these are healthy and intended to be used for certain things you might worry about.
Stuff like DH and NOED need looking at and as usual, weaker or outright useless perks on both sides should be buffed up or reworked to be useful and fun. They have so much to work with here the possibilities are endless.

What I don't understand is how healing yourself deactivates it but opening an exit gate does not.
I wouldn't be upset if these got swapped around. Healing yourself after reaching safety so that you have two health states would do more to discourage tunneling and buy you more time and healing yourself is also giving the killer time. You aren't doing gens or any objective you're just trying to stay alive longer. Seriously like I said it makes no sense to me that it isn't affected by opening an exit gate which is the literal definition of progressing the match to the end and yet healing, an optional side objective deactivates it.
-
What if it removed the ability to hit Great skill checks so that survivors are always forced to only do Good/normal ones in addition to the zone being smaller?
I would say make it so that survivors MUST hit Great skill check zones on all skill checks but that seems oppressive towards new players/those who aren't good at hitting greats

Tips to avoid being tunneled in a single image.
Omg love your art as always xD
Also thank you everyone for the input. I think I need to work on stealth. It's a play style I don't really use much at all since I was always told to not play "immersed" as it wastes too much time moving around the map slowly. Maybe that's the key here
-
Pig is pog
I've had similar experiences OP. I mean, I still have my matches where I play ruthless as Pig but if ever the survivors boop snoot in a final desperate measure I pretty much go easy on them LOL
I wish Spirit had this sort of counter play 🐽

Unfortunately atm, some of the ways survivors are awarded BPs encourages bad plays. You'll have survivors bumrush an unhook so they can get those juicy points before teammates. As long as you have BT, the unhooked survivor is bound to survived long enough for that "safe unhook" bonus to pop up, even if you unhook right infront of the killer and they get tunneled down.
Would be nice to see actual smart plays getting more BPs. Maybe for unhooks, you'd score more points if the target avoids being hit (even with BT) or avoids entering chase for X seconds after unhook. This could promote ppl waiting for the killer to walk away before attempting an unhook so the rescued survivor has a chance to actually recover. If getting BPs is your objective, instant-unhooking wouldnt be the most rewarding way to gain them.
Im just spitballing here... You're welcome to throw in afew thoughts.
There are also Rift challenges that tell Survivors to unhook in the Killers Terror Radius albeit with BT but still that right there is what is promoting hook diving most of the time.
Or challenges like unhook x amount of people and naturally people try to get these done in as few trials as possible. I genuinely blame BHVR for encouraging a lot of these unhealthy behaviors most of the time with the Rift. It's just no bueno
-
Just any case of extreme tunneling. It's like the killer doesn't want me to play so okay I'll just dc, close the game and play something else if that's really how they want to be.
-
Left out Iron Will
-
I wish there was a way to discourage tunneling more. Screw camping and slugging, tunneling is what makes me close this game and go play something else immediately lol
-
The only time I DC is when I've been relentlessly tunneled to death hook.
Though rare, I'd rather leave the match as quickly as possible and not give them the satisfaction of hooking me or mori and I'm already not getting any points nor do I care about my rank. At that rate I'm just closing the game to play something else because I don't really like toxic killers and I was likely dead anyways so literally, what's the point.
Aside from that though I try not to dc unless something comes up irl. It sucks when other people dc but I tend to stay for the most part and attempt farm but killers usually just kill you lol it's whatever.
-
Why would they change anything? BHVR is very lazy and set in their ways. As long as they're making money they probably don't care too much about pushing out quality of life changes fast. It's always going to be at a slow pace with them, always has been always will be.
And even then I really wish they'd do what you're proposing OP so like, I'm with you I just have little to no expectations lol
-
What exactly do you all mean by hatch standoff? I started playing after they removed hatch grabs

After playing this game for a while this question has sort of dawned on me. I've personally noticed that the sweatiest killers tend to be Plagues, Spirits, and Freddys. The most memey/kindest killers i've noticed were Blights, Ghostfaces, and Demo's. What do you think?
As a Plague main I have to give you some insight, that's just how Plague is. You HAVE to take every mistake survivors make and get greedy with it and snowball. It's honestly something I don't really like about her, her snowball-y tendencies. It sucks when people start to disconnect when you do well as Plague because of her oppressive nature when she's doing well.
Anyways, I'd say Blight #1 hands down. I've never gone against a Blight that DOESN'T run all meta perks and sweat til the last drop.
Runner ups (In no particular order): Spirit, Nurse, Plague (Black Incense is nasty)
-
I'm all for this change
-
With Spirit I acknowledge that in order to do well with her you need to be phenomenal at tracking. Good hearing and watching for blood / following scratch marks and crows even are all imperative.. But these are things you should do on all killers lol
The only things I can think of that take some extra skill and mastering on Spirit is finding that perfect range where you can phase to someone on a generator without them hearing your phase sounds and landing lunges coming out of phase (Sometimes Grudge hits can be hard for me to land).
But yeah, compared to most other killers she doesn't require much other than killer basics 101. She's busted. Her add ons are busted. She can make most if not all perks work in her favor but obviously why wouldn't a Spirit just run the strongest perks they can (That's what I do at least). She's an S tier killer with great ease of use/access and I think it's okay to have characters like that but my god her addons need looked at
-
I was having this problem really bad on Plague. Running Ruin Undying and Discordance helped me alleviate this issue immensely. I use BBQ in the last slot for BP since I'm on the grind but if I could I would swap it out for Tinkerer maybe and switch Discordance out for something else.
Basically though having information to tell you when and where to push people off gens then let Ruin start auto regressing is so nice. Then the survivors either have to try and power through gens with ruin up or go look for and cleanse it and undying. It buys me a fair amount of time to infect everyone and chase properly.
On Pig I get that nice built in slowdown with her traps but need to find and down people asap, preferably before a gen pops so Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes the Weasel help me with that. Corrupt forces people into me and makes patrolling and controlling the start gens easier while Pop gives me consistent slowdown all match.
-
I wish it made healing and being healed by the Obsession a little bit faster OR did something when you are the Obsession.
Perhaps reveal your aura to all of your teammates. I mean, if you're the obsession they'll all know when you're being chased anyhow due to the Obsession tentacles framing your characters picture in the hud.
Idk, I just wish it wasn't useless when you are the obsession. Major turn off for the perk. Furtive Chase has a similar issue where if the Obsession dies the perk dies with it and you lose all the stacks like what? Who came up with this
-
I think the crowd of people who play whatever killer gets buffed and is doing well at the time have moved on to Wraith now after Freddy's nerfs. Said people tend to be nasty and just want to tilt survivors. I see it all the time with majority of Spirits (I'm not saying all Spirit mains are mean/trolls).
Wraith is incredibly easy to play and quite satisfying. Unfortunately it's also very easy to tunnel with him and any killer can successfully camp so if they wish to camp they can do that too.
Before the recent changes to wraith and Freddy I don't recall most Wraiths being like this so I really wouldn't call Wraith mains out and be responsible for this behavior. Most dedicated wraith mains are cool and not psychopaths and I respect that.
Reminder to be nice at the end of the day (And trial) smh
-
I still get gen grabs on players with Pig. The secret is to moonwalk or just look away from the gen, off to the side works just fine while you approach.
Not everyone runs spine chill every match.
-
I think they need to fix survivor and totem spawns. Make lit hex totems spawn as far away from survivors as possible and or more in the center of the map or just, in general NOT right next to survivors wherever they spawn in. If they do that that would help a lot I think.
-
My favorite ship is Nea and Meg ❤️
-
I wanna see a vampire stealth killer PLEASE.
-
Mine is a toss up between Demise of the Faithful and Silent Hill.
-
I'm not gonna lie literally all of Pyramid Heads perks are kind of disappointing. Well, I guess Forced Penance is fine because idk how you'd buff it it just seems bleh to run that only for punishing protection hits lol
But for real, Trail of Torments biggest issue I think is the insane cooldown. Like, seriously? Reduce that PLEASE. I have a similar gripe with Oppression, I think it too suffers from a criminally long cooldown for what it does. Kicking a generator is quite the investment, idk why they give perks that are tied to kicking gens the longest cooldowns
-
Yeah pretty much agreed. I had to go through literally every other perk I have currently before it gave me BBQ Chili on my Hag which was a painful 20ish or so bloodwebs at level 50.
Sometimes it's just ridiculous

I'm playing solo queue so I wouldn't know what my teammates are running.
What's the general rule of thumb of when to use DS??
I'm guessing it would be a waste if I was the 1st person hooked and gens still needed to be done. Is DS something that you are supposed to save more towards the mid/end stages of the match?
DS can be used whenever you want basically. If you're concerned about a killer tunneling you off your first hook then hit that skill check. If not, let the skill check cycle and save it for your 2nd unhooking / more for end game. Borrowed Time from a teammate though can hopefully prevent early game tunneling. I think using DS super early in a match is a big waste which leads me to the next point:
DS is basically a guaranteed escape in the end game and you can actually open exit gates without it deactivating which is crazy. Definitely save it for after the last gen pop if possible but beware of moris or Pyramid Head as they can ignore DS but yeah there isn't much a killer can do if you have DS and the last gen pops and you're in a good position with the exit gates

Killers that pretend to be friendly for downs/hooks and then betray the survivors are the absolute worst. As much as they aggravate me, I respect facecampers and hard tunnelers miles more than I do fake farmers, because they're at least up front about their intentions.
Bloodpoints are bloodpoints, but if you want kills, play the damn game.
(Though survivors that want to farm and then scuttle off without giving the killer any hooks are also pretty bad. Farming's an agreement and I expect all parties to hold up to their side of the bargain.)
This pretty much. That being said, in a situation like this I don't trust killers. I actually had something like this come close to happening with my friends vs a Pig. We were afraid she was going to kill all of us after hooking us all twice but thankfully she didn't lol (I trust in Pigs 😤, honestly any Pig who goes back on a snoot boop code must be banished). It was a great farm in the end for all parties but yeah that being said I do NOT trust all killers to be nice like that until the end.
Idk, my own personal irl spine chill goes off when I know a killer has blood warden and plans to be extra extra evil and it always turns out right and I'm always the only person to escape lol
It's different when I'm playing killer and I'm in control but not everyone is nice and that's not even to say that they need to be nice but my god, faking being nice and signaling you want to farm after being trounced only to kill all the survivors after they've let their guard down is the ultimate scum tactic. If you're going to camp, tunnel and slug at least do it with honor.

@GannTM said:
That would be nice but I don’t think that’s the issue with Plague. I think Plague’s number 1 flaw in her kit is the RNG nature of her fountains spawning in places that are impossible to get to without wasting so much time.
I used to think this but as a Plague main this is one of the only viable counter play measures to her.
Survivors who make the VERY grave mistake of cleansing in convenient areas to her is what basically hands her the game. Now that being said, the Swamp maps are exceptionally bad however as literally all fountains spawn around the outermost edge in awful corners. I bet those will be the next realm reworked though so hopefully fountains are addressed with that.
What I wish they'd fix with her is puke not registering when it clearly is hitting a survivor and they flinch/scream. Me having to puke on someone FOUR times for it finally register is not okay and a much worse problem to me than fountain spawns atm
-
If a killer brings Bamboozle they're sacrificing a perk slot to make shack easier to shut down and I think that's fair just hold W more.
Obviously on certain killers like Bubba it feels bad but you just gotta adapt. Shack definitely doesn't need two windows though that would be pretty insane. I think this post is bait though lol
-
Oops! All Hexes!
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Hex: Retribution
Hex: Haunted Grounds
Disgusting build on any killer really. You're basically forcing them to cleanse due to Ruin but punishing them no matter what they decide to cleanse what with Retribution revealing survivors, Undying protecting whatever gets cleansed and Haunted exposing everyone lol
Rancor Bully
Slowdown perk of your choice (I use Pop)
Rancor
Play With Your Food
Save the Best for Last
Always ignore the Obsession if you run into them. Accumulate PWYF and STBFL stacks and kill everyone else naturally. The idea is if the last gen does get popped you beeline for the Obsession and kill them with Rancor. It's really awful killing someone who hasn't been hooked all match but this is the Rancor Bully build for a reason lol
Gen Abuser
Pop Goes the Weasel
Oppression
Eruption / Dragon's Grip
Trail of Torment
The idea here is kicking gens and making them into traps. Pop and Oppression have nice synergy in my opinion and Eruption/Dragon's Grip is the trap we set when triggering Trail of Torment or just using our Pop proc. Eruption can also work off of Oppression skill checks but I wouldn't count on it too much at higher ranks.
-
When I see Resurgence on people I think it's cute and it's nice that it saves us some time healing. It can have it's moments where that time saved is actually a huge deal also there's some neat things you could do with it in conjunction with a medkit with uneven charges since you come off the hook half healed you can use said uneven charges to fully heal where you otherwise would not / if your rescuer gets pressured by the killer coming back.

The community has been really welcoming to me, here at least. In game! Yikes. Ha ha ha... But yeah, the people here are really nice.
This pretty much.
Lately I've had the displeasure of so many toxic survivors and killers being monsters in the end game chat.
Choose to not perpetuate the cycle everyone, be better and make good decisions and spread positivity instead of being toxic.
-
I have to add something else to this topic: Leons breathing is LOUD and his grunts of pain are literal moans like Jane.
I think he might be the loudest male survivor after Jeff now. This in turn makes him much much easier to track and why not go for who you find easily as Killer? A lot of this could be unintentional tunneling.
Also a lot of it seems like poor decision making. I see Leons do really dumb stuff like unhook literally right behind my back while they're injured and on death hook. Of course I'm going to grab/hit you if you're making poor decisions, tunnel or not I'm not going to reward bad behavior lol
-
Yeah this game has a really bad player base lately. Most of you seem nice enough on the forums here but lately this event seems to be bringing the worst out of people. And no I'm not talking about being tunneled or camped I'm talking about people being absolutely awful in end game chat for no reason whatsoever. I'm glad the event is being extended bcuz I need a break from all the toxicity T3T
