Use Distressing + Whispers. As soon as Whispers procs while they’re on a gen, they’ll be in your terror radius and will hear only the faint whooshing sound.
Oh wait a minute this is a genius idea thank you lol.
So Spirit's passive cries, those don't get quieter if her TR is smaller or she's undetectable? If that's the case I might need to rethink stealth Spirit lol

I've been playing a lot of Wraith recently and I have to agree. All Seeing is just absurd considering its purple rarity. I'd understand if it was an iridescent but my god it's just too good for its rarity level (Imo).
Ngl, I think the rarity of Coxcombed Clapper and All Seeing should be swapped or at the very least All Seeing should be nerfed/reworked somehow.
To everyone saying Wraith is weak, basic and if you're losing to him you're bad just stop it. You're underselling him on purpose. He's incredibly strong since his buffs and he's an amazing killer and lots of fun to play as. His add-ons are all really cool and unique. I love running just about all of them, he has great diversity in that department and I'm pretty sure if All Seeing Eye was nerfed or reworked he wouldn't change in terms of his viability.

I'm just curious about people's opinions on if the killer DC. Do you think it's fine or do you hate similar to survivors who DC?
I give killers who DC a props/upvote tbh

Pig needs some base kit buffs. Nothing broken but if they implemented some nice changes I'd be all for an add-on pass wherein Tampered Timer gets nerfed and the skill check add-ons maybe get reworked to be totally different because let's face it, they're literally useless.
My wishlist for base kit changes are as follows:
• Reduce TR from 32 to 24
• Time to crouch and stand back up from crouching reduced (Basically make Combat Straps default)
• Maybe change the way RBTs work so they are a more consistent form of slow. Idk how though and this point is the one that I could do without. RBTs are difficult to balance by nature since they can straight-up kill survivors. I never want them to be TRULY oppressive as they can be now with Tampered + Crate of Gears/Sketch.
That being said I really adore Tampered Timer combos aimed at getting head pops on big maps/awful indoor ones as it feels like a real homage to Amanda and her inescapable traps. When I say Tampered should be nerfed I don't think it should be devastated to the point of uselessness. I may be a little bit of a biased Pig main here 🐽
That all being said my biggest issue with Pig is like UGH there's so much cool stuff they have done with her add-ons! I'm shocked one of her Ultra Rares doesn't start all survivors in the trial with an RBT (Active might be broken lol) or an add-on that makes Ambush roar silent.
SO many possibilities and yet we get some of the most unbalanced add-ons that are either completely useless or borderline broken but still subject to RNG (Head pops)

If anything I think the requirements for achieving killer adepts should be lowered slightly. Compared to survivor adepts it's so much more difficult and it doesn't make sense. Especially with how wonky emblems can be for each killer.

Looping, holding W and playing stealthily are all valid tactics much like camping, tunneling and slugging
🤠

Spirit nets Nurse results without Nurse input. Same could be said for Blight. Nurse and Blight require a lot of experience and practice mastering them but Spirit just requires decent tracking and you're good to go.
I think the only perk she was reliant on was Stridor but good Spirit players won't need that and her add-ons are all amazing. Much like Hag though, she doesn't even need add-ons to do well. That's how good Spirit is. Obviously though every killer is going to want to bring the best perks they can to win.

I know you don't want to be told to git gud, but really, the best thing to do is learn how to loop properly. There are videos on YouTube that can teach you. It's more than just running in circles. If you learn how to do it properly, you can potentially waste enough time for all the gens to pop. Run DS and Sprint Burst to give yourself distance and time to get to another loop. The better you know how to loop and mind game the killer, the less desirable it will be for the killer to chase you.
Also, don't be the first person to get caught. When the match starts, find some los blockers near a gen and wait for the killer to patrol and leave before you start repairing. Play with Spine Chill so you know the moment the killer is coming for you and sneak away.
Finally, tunneling isn't toxic. It isn't fun at the receiving end, but most of the time, it is the best choice for the killer, especially if you're not good at looping. The faster they get you out of the match, the more pressure they have on the generators. With the current meta, most killers don't have much of a choice, since by the time they find their fist target, play ring around a rosie with a pallet and then get led to The House of Pain or the Cow Tree and finally get a down, 3 gens will pop. Whats the best way to apply pressure when two gens are left? Get rid of someone asap. It sucks, but it isn't toxic and you shouldn't take your anger out at the killer. The responsibility lies upon the developers to make the game fun and balanced for all, not the players. If you can't accept that it is a fundamental part of the current game, then yes, perhaps this game isn't for you.
I get all that it's just when it happens at 5 gens it feels hopeless at times. I know that camping, tunneling and slugging are valid tactics it just stings when they happen at the start of a match and one person gets denied playing the game.
Like it's nice that you don't have to worry about that when playing as killer which is one of the reasons I have fun playing as killer like even if I get trounced I can at least say I had most of the match to get better at loops and finding/chasing survivors.
-
Personally if I don't run gen defense/regression of any kind then I'm running Devour Hope + Exposed snowball build.
Hex: Devour Hope
Hex: Undying
Make Your Choice
Infectious Fright
Make Your Choice synergizes perfectly with Devour Hope. If I'm playing a killer that lacks mobility or a way to get back to the hook quickly I switch MYC out for Haunted Grounds which is just evil. Basically when Devour gets 3 stacks gens don't even matter anymore. It's game over
-
If someone unhooks you with BT can you tank a hit with that Endurance and then still be healed by Second Wind?
-
Lately I've been having more fun as killer because all my matches as survivor involve being camped and tunneled to death.
Thankfully I don't have to worry about either of these things when I'm playing as killer 🙂

Exactly what the title says. I am really ######### at looping, so I prefer to play stealthy. What are good perks for survivors who are just ######### at looping?
I shall share with you my build that I use when I don't want to be chased. Ever. At all.
Basically it's a gen monkey build and I use this when I'm just wanting to vibe in solo queue / let my friends take chase if we're playing together.
Sprint Burst or your choice of exhaustion perk
This will help you make distance from the killer when/if they find you. Sometimes doing this can be enough for them to just drop chase immediately and go after someone else but this isn't often the case. I usually let them get close to me and act like I am oblivious before sprinting away. Best case scenario you make them whiff and make a HUGE amount of distance off to a safe pallet etc. this makes you extremely unattractive to killers
Iron Will
This will make you silent while injured. You can be bad at looping and a killer can still lose you because they can't hear you because they decided to try and mind game you when really they just end up mind gaming themselves. Ducking into a corner after breaking line of sight can trick them sometimes they'll run past and not notice you. Iron Will let's you do stuff you shouldn't be able to get away with and so, for someone who isn't good at looping I always recommend it because it helps everyone good or bad.
Calm Spirit
Yes most people call this garbage however, good killers pay attention to crows. If you're not tipping off crows then you'll be much harder to find. Crows are so nasty and underrated. They basically give away your location to killers and they don't even need line of sight on you. Calm Spirit allows you to walk or run past crows without disturbing them and you'll also be immune to screaming. This is much more niche but if you're up against Infectious Fright snowball killers or doctor they'll have a significantly harder time finding you because, well you just won't be screaming LOL
Last slot you can do whatever but staying in spirit with the build I recommend Spine Chill. Spine Chill is ultimate gen monke perk (Well aside from Prove Thyself).
Spine Chill gives you that juicy bonus repair speed when it is active and otherwise gives you valuable information that the killer is possibly approaching. Letting go of a gen and getting a head start to run or hide is nice. You can waste a lot of a killers time by hiding around the gen you were repairing. It takes practice but if you can be a ninja you can make Spine Chill cowardly gen monke work.
Now I would like to give a disclaimer though, if the Killer has Whispers good luck hiding. Killers who have Whispers will search every nook and cranny of the area until they find you because Whispers literally tells them that you're there so if a killer always finds you no matter how good you think you are hiding that's probably why.

Woah hold up now, Dead Hard triggers Witch Time on console? Jealous
-
The reason the skill check exists is in case you want to save it for your second unhooking and just let the skill check run out this way it won't be deactivated for the rest of the trial.
There could be some tactical use to it in this way. All this being said I wouldn't mind if it was made to be a bit bigger. Heaven forbid there be lag involved, hitting that skill check can actually be difficult/impossible because lag makes it that way at times. I understand console players wishing it was easier or just automatic but it seems most people on here don't care about them or their opinions. Personally I think greater accessibility is always better. This perk has already been nerfed quite heavily and killers can easily tunnel through it. Making it easier to activate wouldn't be the end of the world >.>
-
I really like Dark Devotion the way it is. If anything I'd increase its duration from 30 to 45 seconds.
30 seconds is just never enough time for me to get somewhere else and try evil shenanigans lol
-
As killer: when all 4 survivors have tool boxes. I played against this once and they were all using BNPs and Prove Thyself. Gens FLEW and I felt really dumb. I'm simply not to the level yet where I can deal with that.
As survivor: when another survivor has a key or someone has a name like: "morimeplz" bcuz EVERY time they do the killer brings ebony mori and tunnels and moris everyone and they end up being unfun matches.
-
I'm shocked there isn't an add-on that makes her roar silent. Honestly she could have had a lot of cool add-ons but they really screwed her over with the bear trap status effects and skill check add-ons.
Personally I'd love to see her get an add-on pass where a lot of the add-ons get changed completely to be actually useful and consistent. Nerf tampered timer a bit and buff her base kit somehow (Faster crouch base kit and or reduced terror radius) and I think she'd be golden.
I mean to be fair I think Pig is already good just super underrated and at a disadvantage against comp teams but that's almost all killers.
Anyways sorry for my tangent I know this was a joke but yes a pig squeal would be pretty creepy lol
-
I absolutely adore her she's my favorite I just don't play her often because lately the ghost puke problem is happening multiple times in every match.
When I use vile purge to directly hit a survivor and they flinch and scream they should be getting infected. Them not getting infected AT ALL is a massive detriment and waste of precious time. I've had it happen three times in a row on the same person in chase and by that point it's not even worth it anymore.
If they fix that problem I would main her full time. Playing her has taught me to respect pallets and be patient for 4ks. Corrupt Purge allows you to do things other killers can only dream of. Her addons are all fun and useful. Black incense is disgusting. Ugh I just love everything about her

Hey, Dead by Daylight. So, a little about me, I'm a rank 1 killer/survivor. I have a little over 2k hours in this game and I'm currently at about devotion rank 7, almost 8. I would consider myself a killer main, with most of those 2k hours, 80% have been killer. I currently have only 2 killers left to P3.
I'd like to consider myself to be a decent, fair killer -- with the amount of hours I've played, I should hope, at least. I have quite a few mind-games up my sleeve, I know my main killer's capabilities well, and I know their weaknesses even better. I can identify good survivors quickly, identify strong areas of the map quickly, figure which chases are worth it, and when I need to break-away to focus on the more important objective. I don't camp or tunnel unless the survivor positively deserves it.
My rules are: if you've been hooked I will not touch you again unless you've been fully healed or you get back on a generator. If you make distance to heal up and get back in the game, I respect it. If you do any objective based/altruistic action, you're back in the game. I'll usually give hatch to the last player if they played well and I accept losses when I play poorly. I don't tunnel or camp to make-up for the fact that I got looped for 3 gens because I wasn't good enough. I don't use Ruin or Devour Hope because I feel like they're overkill on your average solo-que game.
I decided to get the rank 1 survivor achievement solo, because I'd been told all this time how hard being a killer was, and how easy being a survivor is. The game is survivor sided after all, right? Wrong. I don't feel that way anymore. After having achieved rank 1 survivor solo-que, I have to say: the game is hopelessly imbalanced when it comes to solo-que survivor.
To start, let's address the biggest issue: Tunneling and camping are over-powered. Tunneling and camping are over-powered and there is little counter to them. This is especially true for solo-que. When you camp someone to death, you are denying their chance to counter-play any of your mind-games. You are denying them any chance to get better at the game, and you're denying them any possible pips/points they might've otherwise earned. You are taking the least skillful route to win the game. You can be a new, unskilled Nurse who only lands maybe 1/3rd of her blink attacks, yet if you tunnel and camp -- especially against solo-que -- you can win easily. Don't believe me? Here's a streamer who is currently on a 760+ win streak because he tunnels and camps. Please click that link with ad-blocker so he doesn't get any revenue.
Yep, you heard that right. 760+ wins in a row because he chooses to abuse this massive unfair doctrine. He's not even a very good killer. If you watch him play, he doesn't pull off any skillful plays that make me think "Wow, that mind-game was brilliant." or "He really outplayed and correctly predicted the survivor's movements even before the survivor knew his own movements." Whereas, if you watch someone like Otzdarva who will usually not camp or tunnel, you can learn a lot and are dazzled by his skill. That really is what it comes down to: skill.
I was playing against a famous streamer a little while ago. He averages about 3-4k viewers per-stream, and he's relatively prolific within the community. When I played against him, I was face-camped to death on my first hook, while two of my teammates tried to save me. No, they didn't try and loop the killer around me, he camped and they both came to get the save because it's solo-que, and there's poor coordination. It sucked, and when I went into his stream, no one cared that he tunneled when there were 4-gens up because he just said "They're a SWF, I can tell." Even though there were 2 console players in the group. No, the streamer was not Tru3talent.
Immediately after that game, I got put into a match with a Huntress that positively annihilated me. He landed some absurd, across the map shots, hit me through the gap on the magic bus window, and didn't need to camp or tunnel to 4k. I felt like watermelon full of hamburger meat in a lion enclosure. The guy was seriously good. I even stuck around after the match to compliment his skill. Objectively speaking, I got even fewer points that game than I did in my game against the streamer. So, why was that? Why was it that when I was out-classed beyond belief, I had more fun getting annihilated than when someone used a cheap mechanic to win?
Imagine that you're playing Chess. And your opponent predicts one of your early-game movements and he takes out an important piece of your Chess roster. He takes out a piece that you hadn't intended to lose yet. Good job, your opponent bested your early game. But that's okay, because you still have your eye on the mid-to-late game. Before you can hit the game-clock to start your next move, your opponent is already declared to be the winner and the game is over. You get no more moves. And to add insult to injury, he smacks the gameboard off the table and the judges think this is acceptable behavior. That's essentially what tunneling is, and it's why survivors get so immeasurably angry with the game and the killer. Being tunneled unfairly punishes victim and rewards the perpetrator.
Or look at someone who is just amazingly skillful at one given killer, like CoconutRTS or SupaAlf. When you watch them play, you're just blown away by their predictions. The guy in the linked stream just flat-out sucks. He can down one survivor, and then he uses that snowball the entire game by tunneling them. Wow, good job. Who can't do that?
Just bring decisive strike*.* You stunned the killer for 5 seconds, and during that time you made it to your next safe-pallet. Yay. The killer is going to break that pallet, you'll get a little more distance, maybe vault a window, or, if you're not a very skillful survivor, you're dead. And then the killer only has to deal with 3 survivors, which is infinitely more easy to juggle than 4. Not only that, but the chance is, no one else on your team is running DS anymore because it was nerfed significantly. So, the killer can now tunnel you and then tunnel his next hook and then he's basically won the game. Even the greatest survivors are only as good as their nearest pallet or window. GG EZ.
There is a counter to being tunneled/camped, just have your teammates slam out gens so the killer throw the game chasing one person. More often than not, especially in solo-que, this DOESN'T work. Why? A number of reasons, first of all. You have to convey to your solo-que teammates, without Kindred, that you're being camped/tunneled, and that they need to spread out on generators. So, basically, that's impossible. Not only that, but each one of your 3 remaining teammates needs to find 3 different generators and complete them all without being pressured off by the killer.
If the killer has Ruin, and he is able to pressure someone off a generator near his hook, this plan is foiled. If the killer tunnels his first hook that he gets while there are still 5 generators up, this plan is foiled. Just bring BT! If the killer can count to 12, this plan is foiled. If the survivors are not all coordinated, this plan is foiled.
Like it or not, the camping and tunneling are meta. It is so widespread, and killers keep getting buffed while survivors hardly get any buffs, that it's clear that camping/tunneling are to be expected. The power creep on killers has been pernicious, and there are a number of meta-perks that are not balanced for your average red-rank solo-que game. So if camping and tunneling are part of the meta, and we can't prevent them, how can it be made more bearable?
I mean, I expect camping/tunneling so much, that if the killer hooks someone and immediately leaves, he likely has Hex: Devour Hope, and I'm usually right. This brings me to my next point: the power creep on killer has made the current state of the game unhealthy. Yep, a killer main just told you that he thinks killers have an unfair advantage against solo-que.
They keep buffing killers while solo-que remains stagnant, and introducing new, powerful meta perks that can just further be abused. The amount of games I have lost to Ruin and Devour Hope against a mediocre killer is absurd. You should lose because you've been bested, not because you out-perked the other team.
My average solo-que game looks like this: spawn in, tap a gen. Killer has ruin. Spend 2-3 minutes trying to find ruin. Find ruin, destroy ruin, killer probably has 2-3 hooks by this point. Maybe I get a generator done, maybe the killer is mad that I broke his ruin and he tunnels me. If I don't get tunneled, I'll usually get rescued off the hook, and I use my Inner Strength to heal myself -- because getting healed in solo-que is impossible without a self-heal. If we manage to get 3 generators done, usually the playable map will now be so small, that none of my other teammates are doing generators. They're off looting chests, or skulking around, and doing anything other than a generator. The killer is able to pressure enough survivors at once, that nothing productive gets done and by this point usually has someone dead and then the game falls apart. People give up and the game ends. Loading into a match, I never expect to win and if I do, I oftentimes feel like the killer wasn't very good and didn't belong in the red ranks.
Now, with all of that being said, survivors, there is the survivor version of "tunneling". Which is to say there is an abusable mechanic that the survivors can engage in that leaves the killer no other real alternative than to tunnel. And that is "gen-rushing." Now, I hear this term thrown around a lot with no real clear definition. Gen rushing is when survivors spread out on generators, 1 person per-gen, and before the killer has his first down 3 generators are close to being complete/already done. In this scenario, the killer's only recourse is to either lose the game, or tunnel and camp his first kill. Maybe he's somehow able to recover the game if the survivors make some huge blunder, but more often than not, that's not the case. More often than not, the survivors will crank the last 2 generators out, and they'll get a 3-4 man escape and then t-bag the killer and chide him in the post-game chat. I know this, because I've been there. And in that scenario, I will camp and tunnel every time. I don't want to play that way, but there are few other likely scenarios in which I will win.
But we're just playing the objective efficiently. So am I when I tunnel and camp. See my point? What happens between the last 3 generators is when the game is truly played. If you strip the killer of that, you've given him little other options to salvage the game.
But the game spawned all 4 survivors separated and on different gens. Yep, sometimes that happens. The game has so much RNG that it's absurd. Spawns need a thorough revamp, and part of the requirements is that, more often than not, you should spawn with someone else, always. If you choose to spread out on generators after you spawn in, that's on you.
As a killer, losing sucks. Far worse than losing as a survivor. If you lose as a killer all the mistakes are squarely on your shoulders. Yes, you get compensated with good BP, but you still feel demoralized. This is exponentially worse when the survivors decide to be toxic and t-bag as well as chide and deride you in the post-game chat. The amount of times I've been told to kill myself over this one game is far too great. I’ve had to turn off comments on my steam profile because of this community. The chat filter helped, but not a lot. T-bagging is still humiliating, and it's a universal sign of arrogance that makes everyone feel bad. And if you are one of the survivors that t-bags every killer, just be aware that you're conditioning a killer who is now going to stack the most meta-builds he possibly can, while camping and tunneling everyone, because losing is such a toxic environment.
The amount of times I've seen people t-bag someone who is truly trying to learn a new killer is disheartening. I'll usually try and offer myself up as free kill to the killer if this happens because I've been there so much. Engaging in that toxic gameplay is just going to breed a killer who doesn't play any other killer other than his main, uses the most potent perk mixture he can (Ruin, NOED, Devour Hope etc.) and will play ruthlessly, all the time. Because that's a better alternative than being humiliated. If the killer doesn't camp or tunnel, plays fairly and loses, be kind to him.
So, please, survivors, stop doing this. I've made a point to thank all killers who don't camp or tunnel and play a fair game. That's it. If they 4k, but do it well, I thank them. I suggest you do the same.
Okay, I'm not just going to complain without offering a solution. If we're going to balance the game around killers camping and tunneling, which is inherently not fun, then we need to change the pip system to reflect that. In it's current state, when/if you get tunneled, you'll likely leave the match with 5-6k points if you're lucky, and then you'll de-pip. Basically, you can wait 4-5 minutes in que, only to get tunneled out instantly and then sent right back to the front of the que. That is not fun, and it makes people stop playing this game dead in their tracks.
If we're going to allow camping/tunneling to be part of the core spirit of the game, then the rewards for being tunneled need to reflect that. In the same way that killers get basekit addons as a buff, Kindred should be basekit for all survivors. The cap for chase points should include time spent on hook. Time spent on hook, struggling and being within the killer's terror radius should also be accelerated when on hook. If you spend most of your time hooked, in the killer's terror radius, and your first hook is your last hook, or you get unhooked, then downed immediately again, and put back on the hook, then the blood-point reward should, bare minimum be 15k blood-points and you shouldn't lose or gain any pips. Why that 15k blood-points? That's the average number you can expect to earn if you were to complete about a generator and a half, get chased 3 times and hooked 3 times. That is, of course, if we accept the narrative that camping and tunneling are an expected, maybe even encouraged part of the gameplay.
Love your post! It gives me hope, I'm currently trying to reach rank 1 as killer without utilizing camping and tunneling. Only time I really slug is on Plague but we won't talk about that LOL
But yeah I pretty much agree on all the points you hit. Survivor spawns desperately need looked at. I run Corrupt Intervention to bypass this problem and it works splendidly but dedicating an entire perk slot to alleviate said issue is.. Meh

I love this cosmetic as well and have really wanted it.. However I'm not really playing Kate after they changed her face the way that they did lol

I imagine they'll implement them with a survivor like they did Hexes with Hag.

Same. My personal favorite is Lithe. Idk how people put their trust in dead hard, as unreliable as it can be.

Twins are in a bit of a unique situation.
I would trade a shorter CD on succesful pounce for an actual CD on Victor that isn't like 5 seconds long. You kick the damn thing and he comes right back.
But, I am severely biased in the fact that I don't like anything about Twins since I first saw them in PTB and, nothing about Victor respawining in her chest makes any sense to me.
This right here. You literally get Victor back so fast that it doesn't really matter that much if he gets crushed.
I mean yes, you don't want to lose him, every second matters to killer but he respawns so fast that I don't think it matters that much to survivors in terms of giving them any time to breathe it just prevents them all from being snowballed and slugged.
-
I mean, exposed perks exist. Killers just don't opt to use them too often because they focus on gen regression and game slowdown instead. Understandable as I never really run exposed perks myself as killer.
Instantly downing survivors is actually the best counter to dead hard since they can't use it when they're healthy. Idk I just deal with DH. It's pesky at times but you literally can't nerf it without making it completely useless and I don't think trashing perks is ever a good idea.
-
Every situation is different for everyone.
-
I started playing as him today and honestly it's helping me understand how to loop against him better. Basically what Phasmamain said above.
While he's cloaked he can't hit you through windows which means windows are even more valuable to you. Stunning him with a pallet while he's cloaked results in a significantly longer stun time which will make him lose a LOT of time. Otherwise when he is uncloaked it's just basic looping 101.
Being caught out in the open is a free hit/down for him so avoid that as much as possible. Unfortunately, open areas and dead zones will always be a thing. Spine Chill is very helpful against him much like all stealth killers. Try using it every other match if you don't want to use it EVERY match and when you get to use it vs Wraith take note of how it helps give you a head start.
And lastly flashlights, blast mine and flashbangs are powerful against him due to the light burn he's susceptible to. Personally I have the most success with flashbangs. When he's cloaked and chasing you it's relatively easy to burn him with the flashbang even if it doesn't blind him because he looks up, the blast will still burn him while he's cloaked buying you a generous amount of time. Definitely experiment with that if you have flashbang or like using a flashlight as your item.
He's definitely incredibly strong now. I've been enjoying him so much due to the mobility and stealth. I otherwise play Pig and Hag so I feel like Sonic lol
-
As someone who plays both sides equally I can say I enjoy these changes a lot as survivor. As killer I'm going to be very honest here: I haven't noticed much difference. I either respect pallets or hit through them, usually the former so I'm not used to even ever hitting through them like a lot of killers are having this problem where they hear them scream and go down but then are back up immediately etc etc
Like I said I just respect the pallet, break or try to mind game around it and these changes honestly haven't affected me too much. If I want to hit through pallets I'll use Spirit Fury Enduring and not count on server rng.
-
Ah yes heaven forbid pallets, a one-time use object be a valid source of safety for survivors.
-
I'm in the majority of killers who like this map it would seem.

People using tactics that don't go against the rules of the game are being toxic.
You should check your entitlement.
Oh please. Camping, tunneling and slugging have their places but when a killer decides to tunnel and face camp the first person they down and be toxic/hit them on hook they're basically ruining one person's game.
Is that fun to you? I play both sides equally but by all means, attack me because I think making one players experience awful is unhealthy for the community and the game as a whole.
If you endorse toxic behavior then good for you. You're just perpetuating the cycle of people being mean to each other even with that comment.

That is basically what happened, at least in my experience, with Old Undying.
Playing survivor was a good experience for me at the time, because with the secondary objective being almost mandatory, killers could easily afford to switch targets and tunneling was basically gone.
Still plenty of people who tunneled with old undying + ruin.
Killers hellbent on tunneling and face camping a survivor cannot be stopped. That's a problem with the player and no amount of anything can ever fix it. There's a lot of killers who get fun out of making other players miserable even if it's only 1 out of 4 survivors that's all they want is to ruin one persons fun.
So sick of it in red ranks lately like grow up. Idk why people have to be toxic at higher ranks but it really is just in every single rank and it's depressing.

• 4 stacks of WGLF/BBQ
• Having fun
• A really close match
• Using a jumpscare build and knowing you scared the crap out of survivors (This is my favorite)
-
Use Save the Best for Last on her it really is amazing and allows you to snowball when you have 8 stacks.
I can't play without it now. Otherwise I run Pop, BBQ (For BP) and Corrupt Intervention. Ruin Undying can work in a more slowdown based build, you could use Sloppy Butcher and addons that increase bear trap removal time and really make things out of control.

I just played a Plague game, and I ran into it again where I spewed my Vile Purge onto a healthy survivor. I connected, he made a scream, but he was not infected.
I searched the forum for this and it has already been submitted to the Bug Forum from last year and both of them are still PENDING.
Yes it doesn't happen all the time; if it did she would be 100% broken.
This still happens to me to this day. I posted a few threads about it but they all get buried lol.
I doubt this will ever get fixed unless they rework the way her purges work.
-
Tunneling is powerful but feels bad. I try not to tunnel, usually if it happens it's unintentional or the poor person ran into me lol
If I'm losing I'm more inclined to tunnel because who wouldn't? If they are winning it's more acceptable to utilize certain strategies.. But a killer who tunnels every match straightaway is a bore and making things miserable for someone.

I hope everyone is enjoying the double BP event this weekend! This post is something of a mini-rant and combination of curiosity and seeking solidarity.
I've been a Kate main for years. I have every teachable and base perk on her in the max purple rank. I have unlimited items on her including anniversary items that I always leave one of as a sort of memento. Kate's cosmetics are usually very hit and miss for me, she has some real doozies in my opinion, but I've bought nearly everything that is put out for her for the sake of showing my support for a game that I truly do love. What little fan art I've done of this game has always centered around my main!
But I hate the way Kate looks now. God do I just hate, hate, hate her new face. When they showed the supposed work-in-progress picture of her I edited my own version and talked about how I hoped we would get something closer to the original or how perhaps she wouldn't be as bad as she looked in those pictures. In my opinion she's worse. I know this is all subjective and that some people probably thinks she looks fantastic and for those people I am really, really happy! Because Kate has a beautiful backstory and is a really great character. But I am so beyond disappointed.
I've sunk so much money into her. Countless hours, millions of blood points, and now I have to start over with a new character. I only have a small handful of other characters who I bothered getting to prestige 3. I have barely any paid cosmetics on other characters... I think I'm going to switch to Nea but I feel so discouraged by the money I'm going to have to sink into her to buy her some cosmetics that I like and the tedious grind of getting her to Kate's level of perk options. End rant!
Is anyone else feeling this way? Is anyone else changing their main because they feel they've been ruined by the update? Let's wallow in our wasted time and money together! 😅 As always take care and happy gaming, everyone! <3
Same. I'm really devastated lol
Maining Cheryl, Feng and Jane now

Entitled killers will always complain.
How dare you hide!
How dare you loop!
How dare you hold W and pre drop pallets!
As someone who plays both sides you just gotta deal with these things. For me, once I know survivors like to play sneaky and hide it actually makes them more predictable and all the more satisfying when I find them hiding in a bush or crouched into a corner with Iron Will. Or successfully mind game at a loop.
Like this is literally applicable for both sides, you have to adapt to people's playstyles always.

I'm guessing you didn't experience that many real-life emergencies (the only real justification for DCing), so if you want to know why the penalties are back, it's because of you and people like you, who feel justified in DCing for any reason.
What about console players games crashing? I heard that was happening a lot over the anniversary event making it nigh unplayable for them and even now I still notice most DCs happen by console players at times that don't make sense (Like I don't down them they're doing a gen across the map and DC leading me to assume their game crashed).
-
I've always respected pallets for the most part especially if the survivors in question like to camp them.
If it's really such a big deal for these people complaining bitterly, just run Spirit Fury Enduring. I haven't had many problems with the new hit validation playing as killer.
-
The lamp really is cute! I haven't looked at the updated tutorial as I've only ever done the old one in the past when I first got the game last year.
-
Honestly it just feels like literally everyone is toxic lately on both sides. I'm starting to take a break from it all. I don't know if reinstating DC penalties will help bcuz people are just nasty and mean no matter what.
The way I view a fellow survivor(s) DCing is like: okay, I guess it's a pointless match. If 2-3 people DC I just leave too because literally what's the point? Like seriously lol
And the killer DCing ends the match obviously which we've had happen plenty of times if they get a map they don't like which like idk it's whatever.
This game is a joke anymore. I'm just trying to have casual fun with friends can't do that. I try to get better at looping nope, can't do that either because I get face camped and hit on hook by questionable rank 1 killers who have issues.
I have fun as killer until it gets depressing playing alone and then I just close the game and play something else tbh

Face camping doesn't need buffed no thanks.

When i play killer, the survivors are toxic.
When i play survivor, the killer is toxic.
The game is toxic, not a specific role.
And to fully answer your question why they are toxic: Because they are most likely children. At least i hope they are... 🙄 Otherwise... jees
This.
Anyways, when I suspect bully squads as Killer I prepare myself accordingly. Most of the time they actually don't end up being very good and I suspect they weren't actually bully squads to begin with. I've been in solo queue before and we are all solos and decide to ready up as the same character together and have fun messing around and to any killer worth their salt it very obviously would look like a swf sweat squad lol
If you see a group of flashlights throw Lightborn on or bring Infectious Fright to punish them. If push comes to shove just go to a corner and afk if you are fed up with it but I implore you to try your best til the end.
-
I can say the same for killers lately. Red rank killers have made playing absolutely miserable lately with all the hardcore tunneling, face camping, hitting on hook and abusive end game chat. I'm beginning to think some killer mains are killers irl because goodness they need to chill out.
To anyone who goes out of their way to ruin others people's day, on either side you really truly are awful and just perpetuating a never-ending cycle of toxicity so thanks a lot for that.

I’m just sick of the talking points that people spam without any indication of practice. It’s literally just survivors regurgitating the same unproven talking points.
Being killed by a camping and hard tunneling killer doesn't mean a survivor is bad though. Not everyone can run a killer for 5 gens and escape.
But I'm sure you only play one side and could care less about survivors or those who play both sides think. Regardless I'm done paying you any mind after this since you just want to incite others.

Yeah his grunts of pain are.. More like moans of pain.
I'm not complainin' though 🙈

Try eruption or surge eruption makes kicking gens worth and surge kicks them for you
This. Alternatively, Pop and or Oppression are a good combo.
I agree gen tapping should be addressed but some of what people are asking for is a lot and they need to bring their expectations more in line with reality. Kicking a generator is a time consuming action, if you want it to be truly worthwhile use perks that reward you for doing so and otherwise, simply know when to kick gens and when not to.

no foot and breath sounds.is this normal? People live on oxygen :)
I'm fairly certain this is a bug right now and BHVR needs to address it.
When and if Iron Will only silences grunts of pain while injured it should be balanced. People clamoring to have it on a timer like Lucky Break then deactivate for the rest of the match are asking for overkill.
As a side note, silencing or just reducing sound of footsteps would be an amazing addition to Lightweight if they ever wanted to make that perk much much better.
